Holbox Island Paradise: Boat Tour, Golf Cart Ride & Beach Lunch

Such a nice snorkeling tour in Akumal with tortoises and in a cenote. Oto as a guide and Gustavo as a driver were so well organized and did a great job. So respectful towards the participants and the nature but still always funny. We had a great time and saw amazing things. If you are in mexiko, do this tour!

Fantastic day out to Holbox. Our guide was Debbie who was informative and great fun. One of our party (the infamous Yvonne) cannot walk far and Debbie looked after her really well. Fun speed boat trip to the islands on the way to Holbox and finally to the main island itself. The disappointment for our trip is that the golf buggies were not operating due to the heavy rain Mexico had endured the week before. The lunch was amazing.

Such a fantastic day and Adrian our guide was amazing, so knowledgeable and kept us updated all day with our itinerary. It felt more like a day out exploring with a friend than a tour. The islands you stop at are beautiful and Holbox is like nothing else you will experience. The boat trips were so much fun and the opportunity to jump off the boat and have enjoy a swim in the turquoise water was something we will never forget. Would definitely use Blue Caribi again and would ask for Adrian every time.

We had a long, full day with Blue Caribe to Holbox. It was wildly unique in both the sea and land perspective. First, our driver Marcos was great and never any concerns for safety. Second, our tour guide Rold was really quite special. The man speaks four languages - who can do that?? The only drawback was that being in Cancun means we were the first ones picked up (6:15) am and the last ones dropped off (8pm) but that's a function of the lack of highways and having to pick up other people in Playa del Carmen. Otherwise it was a fantastic, one-of-a-kind trip. We definitely want to go back. Holbox is just crazy unique and eclectic. I haven't read the other reviews but I'm sure they say the same thing on how cool Holbox is. In terms of Blue Caribe they just made it so much easy to plan and coordinate the day's activities with history, comic relief, and guidance. I'd highly recommend the team at Blue Caribe for your first trip to Holbox.

First time to Mexico and decided to do Chichen Itza, Xplor , and Holbox to have a good mix of excursions. All three booked through TUI rep with this operator (except Xplor). Holbox was my favourite but there are some things to be aware of when booking this trip. The first island we were taken to (the one with the tower, it has passion in the name) is FULL and I mean SWARMING with mosquitoes. In the water you’re fine but as soon as we walked through the bushes we were devoured. You would wipe 10 off with your hand and 20 more would instantly land on you. I feel that the tour guide should have warned us about this because if he had we would have walked around the island rather than through it. I have over 50 bites and am concerned about ZIKA. As it’s a bio reserve you have to use biodegradable sun cream and bug spray - the natural bug spray DID NOT WORK. The second stop was incredible and so so so beautiful so it is without a doubt worth seeing - but take a hat. It is SO hot and there is no shade and as you’re in the sea you will fry. Holbox itself was nice to see but generally too hot to walk around (not the fault of the tour guide and depends how well you can handle heat). The hotel we were taken to for lunch was nice but I wouldn’t say it was 5 star. It did not have air conditioning (just fans) and you could not flush paper down the toilet, meaning that by the time they had been used several times there were flys everywhere around the bin where the toilet paper had to go. Bin was also open, not closed, so you could see all of the used paper. Other than that the food was lovely, a good selection of western and Mexican cuisines and the beach which was a 2 minute walk is incredible! All in all a really good trip, just wish we had been warned about the mosquitoes on that island.

Cathlyn just rocks! She is amazing, lovely, funny, great guide who will make your day amazing. She spoke in German and English and our group fancied her! The day in Holbox was so worth.

We were picked up on time and had a great day on Holbox. Guide was lovely and ran very smoothly. Lunch was great in hotel buffet on the island.

Our excursion was amazing! We chose the swim with the turtles and explore the underground water caves. We saw many turtles and they ensured we were all safe and were able to swim with as many turtles as possible, it was magical. As for the caves, we truly didn’t know what to expect but it was such an incredible experience that you have to see to believe. Gus was a wonderful tour guide, so knowledgeable and passionate about our trip! The staff were very punctual as well so we had plenty of time for activities. I would highly recommend, it was an incredible experience.

Roald guide great, very nice but dangerous and unconscious driver (10/12) Back pain and stress assured on return but happy to be returned safely!! It spoils this wonderful release a little... too bad... I hope it will be replaced quickly before it makes a drama!

Prise en charge à l'hôtel plutôt tardive comparé à d'autres agences, du coup journée courte...à peine eu le temps de profiter du beach club de l'hôtel dans lequel nous avons déjeuné. Guide assez antipathique et blasé, pas drôle qui ose distribuer en fin de journée une enveloppe pour les tips. Café et gâteaux servis dans un petit patio sur la route de Cancun ... appréciable Bateau pour aller sur île de la passion et playa mosquito : rapide, dynamique, musique 👍 #30min de temps libre sur Holbox, un peu court Pétrolette "de golf" pour aller au beach club, très bruyant mais rigolo. Que des 4 places ,si vous êtes plus vous serez répartis dans plusieurs voitures. Spontanément, le guide ne fait même pas en sorte que les voiturettes dans lesquels sont réparties les familles se suivent 😤 Hôtel ( cadre agréable 🤩) pour déjeuner MAIS lieu de rencontre de tous les groupes Blue Caribe et il y en a bcp!!. Le buffet est tout petit ( Ah Ah à la queue leuleu 🎶!!!) et très peu réapprovisionné! La piscine de l'hôtel HS et bcp de Sargasses nauséabondes sur la plage le jour de notre visite...ok pas leur faute 😕 Guide bcp plus loquace au retour : explications intéressantes sur le fonctionnement administratif et les frais de santé mexicains ( un peu trop politisé , dommage) Retour à PDC à 18h ... De vraies heures de bureau un vendredi 😉 Cette agence Blue Caribe est loin d'être la meilleure, Assez décus de cette journée qui manquait vraiment de dynamisme 😒

Deux belles excursions. La première à Holbox, avec notre guide Roald, très sympa, parlant notamment le français, qui nous a fait passer une excellente journée et nous a fait découvrir cette île de notoriété planétaire et nous avons adoré. La seconde à Sian kaan avec Romain, tout aussi sympa, parlant également le français, qui nous a fait passer une excellente journée, quasiment en bateau, dans cette réserve naturelle, aux paysages naturels uniques et envoûtants.

Un guide au top.. l’ile de la passion magnifique.. la visite du centre d’holbox superbe.. à faire absolument ! Petit tour en voiture de golf.. des plages avec une vue et une eau transparente decor de carte postale.. merci

Une journée dans un petit coin de paradis ! Un guide au top qui connaît l’endroit et donne envie d’en découvrir encore plus sur le Mexique.

Wir haben über unsere Reiseleitung einen Tag auf der Insel Holbox gebucht. Versprochen wurde uns ein Tag auf einer eher wenig besuchten Insel und die Möglichkeit diese individuell mit einem Golfkart zu erkunden. Leider verlief der Tag völlig anders. Allein die Anreise dauerte mehr als 4 Stunden, da auf einer Straße, in Form einer Straßensperrung gestreikt wurde und wir ständig auf andere Gruppen warten mussten. Das versprochene Frühstück war mehr als dürftig. Es gab viel zu wenig Gebäck und Obst, manche unserer Gruppe gingen einfach leer aus. Der Guide Alex nutze die Zeit, die wir im Auto verbrachten außerdem nicht, um etwas über Land und Leute oder die Insel Holbox zu erklären. Er war hauptsächlich damit beschäftigt Geld zu zählen und mit seinem Handy zu daddeln. So mussten wir zB im Nachhinein selbst nachlesen, woher der Name Holbox eigentlich stammt… Die Insel selbst ist sehr touristisch, die Stadt Downtown Holbox hat keinerlei Charme. Es hatte die Nacht zuvor stark geregnet, die Straßen glichen eher Flüssen. Geschnorchelt wurde aufgrund des Wetters nicht. Die meiste Zeit verbrachten wir in einem sehr schönen Hotel (aber das hätten wir auch in unserem Hotel erleben können). Das Essen und die Mitarbeiter des Hotels waren das Highlight des ganzen Tages. Das Essen war köstlich, die Anlage auch sehr schön und die Mitarbeiter super freundlich.

Super leuke ervaring gehad. Je krijgt veel van het eiland Holbox te zien waar je genoeg tijd krijgt om zelf ook het eiland te verkennen. Lunch bij het resort is goed en voldoende. Je mag bij het eiland je niet in smeren met zonnebrand i.v.m. voor het milieu heel goed van de operator zorg voor een rashgaurd met lange mouwen! Wel wil ik iedereen waarschuwen voor de muggen op Isla Passion. Ik ben helaas 110 keer gestoken haha maar dat mocht de pret van de mooie locaties niet drukken. Wij hadden de tour via TUI geboekt.

Wir haben mehrere Touren im September 2022 mit BlueCaribe gemacht und diese zur Insel Holbox war leider die schlechteste und nicht wirklich zu empfehlen. Die Landschaft ist wirklich wunderschön, aber das Konzept dieser Tour ist nicht durchdacht. Man startet mit einer Bootstour mit Halt an einer vorgelagerten Insel für ca. 20 min anschliessend geht es zu einer Sandbank. Danach geht es auf die Insel Holbox mit einer Stunde Freizeit zum Shoppen etc. Leider gibt es keine Möglichkeit sich Umzuziehen, so dass der Aufenthalt mit nassen Badesachen nur wenig Spass gemacht hat. Zum Mittagessen geht es zu einem Standhotel, das mexikanische Büffet war sehr gut und eigentlich auch der Strand. Leider durfte man die Strandliegen des Hotel nicht nutzen sondern nur die Liegen am Pool (dafür muss ich nicht nach Holbox, das habe ich auch im eigenen Hotel) und im unmittelbaren Hotelbereich, der leider an der Strasse liegt, auf der ständig die die hier üblichen Golfcarts mit entsprechenden Geräuschen und Abgasen vorbeifahren. Sehr schade .....

Holbox Wir haben einen Tagesausflug mit Bluecaribe nach Holbox gebucht. Der Start war etwas holprig, da die Hotel weit auseinander lagen, unseres davon am entferntesten mussten wir ziemlich früh aufstehen, was kein Problem war, nur da wir noch ein Hotel mit einem Umweg angesteuert haben, war es leicht „nervig“. Dies hat unser Reiseleiter Victor direkt aufgegriffen und die Rückfahrt ohne diesen Umweg organisiert. Somit sind wir wieder entspannt in den Ausflug. Nach dem Buswechsel gab es dann Frühstück, es war sehr leckeres frisches Gebäck, Kaffee und Saft. Die Besuche auf der Vogelinsel und Holbox haben uns sehr gut gefallen. Es gab Informationen, Mittagessen in einem guten Hotel sowie Zeit für sich, die man individuell nutzen konnte. Wir hatten einen schönen Tag und können den Veranstalter absolut weiter empfehlen.

Nous avons passé un agréable moment en compagnie des guides blue caraïbe, ils sont venu nous cherche devant notre hôtel et nous avons récupéré d’autre groupe sur la route. Le premier arrêt était un petit déjeuné offert café, viennoiseries, jus de fruit et fruit, nous avons pu mettre nos maillot de bain par dessous nos vêtements. Ensuite nous avons été dans une petite ville proche du port où nous attendait des tuk-tuk (2min de trajet ) pour rejoindre les bateaux. Ces bateaux nous ont amené à l’île passion où nous avons pu prendre quelque photo puis nous sommes allé sur l’île moustique où nous avons pu nous baigner. Par la suite nous avons été à Holbox, pour nous rendre à un hôtel beach club en voiturette de golf ( un peu difficile à manier mais une fois pris en mains ça va). Dans l’hôtel repas au buffet, des animaux en liberté nous ont accompagné pendant le repas. Quartier libre pendant 2h sur la plage puis nous avons repris les voiturettes de golf jusqu’au ferry. point négatif nous étions un très grand groupe difficile de garder le groupe unie et de plus le quartier libre est un peu court pour profiter de l’île si vous voulez vous balader. Nous avions un guide Damien fort sympathique.
