The entire experience was amazing. The entire team made learning SCUBA diving fun and straightforward. Everyone was really nice. I will definitely be coming back. Thank you to my instructor, Chris, for all his amazing support!

Also called DSD, or Resort Diving, this activity is an application of recreational diving in which an uncertified diver uses a scuba set to breathe underwater under the direct supervision of a qualified instructor. You start with some basic skill in shallow water off the beach before diving on shallow reef side by side and under the watchful eye of our instructors. This is an experience program only; no certifications are issued. Please do not apply any types of creams or lotions before your excursion. Many products say “turtle or Reef Friendly”, we have found most of them are not. We will offer you the use of our wetsuits free of charge to protect your skin from the sun!

Me and family had the best experience here at Wet Set Diving and Snorkeling. They are 100% legit and genuine. You'll never be disappointed. I left my own snorkel gear in their office by accident n it was safely returned back to me. 100% worth your money.
This was an excellent time! We did 2 dives with lunch in between. The club sandwich was delicious! It was just my wife and I and everything went so well! Our instructor was very patient and he was so good at explaining everything and making sure we understood and were comfortable. We was an excellent guide, showing us everything he could spot. We got to see an underwater cenote, sea turtles, sting ray, lobsters, squid! All sorts of stuff. It was definitely an amazing adventure.
My husband and I did this together. Our guide was Dan. He was very informative and so patient. There were a total of 3 in our group which was great. The undersea world is incredible. Definitely recommend the 2nd dive so you can see more of the beautiful reef. We really enjoyed this experience and will return!
Incredibly knowledgeable and friendly staff. Safety is number one here. From shore to sea top shelf service, wether you have had 1000 dives or its your first open water dive. Underwater guides/ divemaster will spot creatures you may miss bring your camera!!
This was so well done and so much fun. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable, thorough. They were attentive to the different ability levels of the students without limiting everyone's ability to safely learn Scuba, and enjoy the wildlife.
This was our 2nd time with Wet Set Adventures. Last year we were able to snorkel in the National Reef Park, and this time we completed the Discover Scuba with another family we were traveling with. First off, Felicity (office manager) is always on top of answering all your questions before you even get there! (and believe me, we had a ton!!) Then, Our dive master Mau and the other staff that were helping were all so patient, knowledgeable and friendly. We had 4 adults and 4 children participating (ages 12 and 14). One of the 12 year olds had some issues getting his ears to pressurize and wasn't able to descend on the 2nd dive the entire way so one of the instructors stayed with him the whole time ensuring that his experience was still enjoyable and safe, even if he couldn't be right next to the group. Two of the teenagers came back to do a tank dive at two different locations a few days later and loved every minute of it. All the skills were reviewed and both of them took to the water like old pros, thanks to all the help and instructions given. We will be returning next year to get them both Scuba certified (and hopefully a few of us adults too)
We had a great time at WetSet, my girlfriend did the discovery and Mauricio our dive master was great with her, very patient and professional, she was anxious at the very beginning but he managed to make her relax and enjoy the dive, the second dive site was spectacular, calmed blue waters in a really healthy reef, lots of fish, the boat crew was also friendly and helpful all the time, Felícity was a great host, even the club sandwich was good! I would recommend them 100%,
What a great experience for our family! Dave, Guillermo, and Felicity took incredible care of us as we completed our PADI Open Water certification. Greatly appreciated the attention to ensuring we were comfortable with the new equipment and skills, helping even the most nervous of our family overcome their fears. Excellent location in Puerto Morales with incredible reef and so many amazing fish! 4 great dives, thank you — We will be back!
My sister and I had an amazing experience completing our open water certification. Our instructor was Mauricio (Mau) and he was extremely knowledgeable, patient and just an overall great guide. He took us to beautiful dive sites in the area for our open water dives with “Acuario” being our favorite. We completed our certification in just 2 days and felt very comfortable diving by the end of the course. My younger brother (14y/o) wanted to try scuba for the first time so we did the discover scuba along with him. I believe his instructor’s name was Laura and she was fantastic as well. All of the staff at WetSet are friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back when we’re in the area 10/10 recommend :)
Myself and 2 friends, kind of on a whim called the Wet Set scuba company one day around 11;30am and asked if we could book something the following day. The manager informed us that due to a forecast of 6 foot waves the next day, that likely would not be possible. We then inquired if we could book something on the same day we called (about as last minute as one can get, lol). She was very kind and said for us to come on over (we were about a 5 minute walk away from our Airbnb) and see what she could do. We ended up booking a discovery scuba experience (none of us were certified or had been scuba diving before) right then and there and went out to to the water about 45 minutes later after filling out forms and some instruction. Our guide, Guillermo, was incredibly kind, a fantastic instructor, clearly very experienced in diving and guiding. We did about an hour dive, and got to see some of the reef in the shallower waters (about 30 feet dive). This was the HIGHLIGHT of our trip, hands down. Made me want to get certified! I highly recommend this company - 5 stars all around!
This was HANDS DOWN the BEST decision we made for our excursions. We had G as our instructor for the day and he was the absolute best. He was patient, supportive, understanding and a phenomenal teacher. My husband is much more adventurous and naturally athletically gifted than I am, and G made me feel confident and safe the entire day. He was a really wonderful teacher. The lunch options were absolutely delicious and the entire staff was friendly and welcoming. I really can’t recommend the discovery scuba session more. It was absolutely phenomenal and we can’t wait to explore scuba more when we get home!
We took the discover scuba with PADI instructor Chris. He was so patient with my many questions and so kind. I am so excited to come back and see more. Thank you Chris and Wet Set
Felicity and her team did a FANTASTIC job on our first ever (Discover) scuba experience! A few in our party were apprehensive and Alex and Alejandra were friendly, firm and attentive from start to finish and our entire group completed our first dive together - this may be the start of a new passion for us! 😄 They focused on safety and fun! Alex was a polished guide and Alejandra assisted when needed without even asking and was also a great photographer for us. We’re planning a longer (certified) dive next time we are in Cancun!
Personable, professional, and overall great value. We've been coming to Wet Set for 7 years and they are better than ever. Quick snorkel trip? They can do that. Want to take the plunge and learn Scuba? They got that covered too. The owner and staff know their stuff and make sure you have a fun and safe experience. This dive company is an absolute gem. 100% recommend.
Let me say that before we went to Cancun we were very nervous coming out of the pandemic and not knowing what to expect in Mexico. Felicity Maloney, was the best communicator I have seen. She accommodated several changes in our plan and always responsive. Her knowledge and expertise was very helpful to us. This made a huge difference in our planning. Then we went snorkeling and diving. We did 4 dives in the first week of July with Wet Set. I had my 14 years old and my wife with me on an amazing snorkeling trip. We saw a nurse shark, a baby sea turtle, and tons of colorful fish we had never seen before. Right after we finished my daughter said "Dad this was probably the best snorkeling tour we’ve ever been on!" Myself and my son went on a deep dive trip. It was fascinating. Thank you Wet Set Adventure (Puerto Morelos) for making this one of our best trips in Mexico. Really grateful that I choose you. Best regards.
All the staff was welcoming and fun to interact with. Felicity was super helpful. She answered every question I could think of. Alex, our instructor. was so calm and helpful while instructing us. Any nervousness I had was quickly erased with Alex's encouragement. This was my Grandson's first time diving. We signed up for DSD which included two dives. The final dive was on the reef which was called The Wall. We were able to dive down about 35 feet to the base of the Wall. What a amazing experience...The coral...the fish! I wish we had time to return for another adventure with Wet Set. Maybe the next visit. I would highly recommend this company. You will not be disappointed. We even met the owner which was a treat to learn why he bought this company. Thanks for a wonderful day.
My mother and I came here specifically for their one tank dives! Many dive shops in the area offer only two tank dives however this shop offered one and two tank dives. The one tank dives are perfect for people (like my mother) who get seasick on the boat ride to the second dive. It was a wonderful experience and they took us into the first dive (since we had not dive in two years) slowly-ensuring we felt ready and prepared for the dive. Our dive master Allie was knowledgeable in all the types of aquatic life and was a wonderful instructor. The manager of the shop was very friendly and helpful as well! My favorite thing about this shop was how they have a little book with a hand drawn map of each dive site and they do a pre-dive brief with you. In the brief they tell you all the things you can expect to see. A wonderful dive shop I’d recommend to everyone!
If I could give 10 stars to Wet Set, I would. My husband and I did the Deluxe Discover Scuba & had Alex as our guide. While my husband took to it easily, I was extremely nervous and uncomfortable. Alex took his time with me, never made me feel like a burden, and talked me through the entire thing, holding my hand, taking deep breaths, distracting me with fish :) We had an amazing experience, and will definitely be back again anytime we are in Puerto Morelos! We felt extremely safe with Alex & had a lot of fun!! We came back later in the week to snorkel and had an equally amazing time! With Marcus as our guide we got to see some amazing sights in the reef. Even swimming through a school of sardines! Wet Set went above and beyond to make sure we were safe and comfortable the whole time. Thank you guys so much for the memories!
Holy hell...had never Scuba’d...took the crash course and out we went. 1st dive off shore was amazing...our dive instructor/angel “Connie” was patient, funny, knowledgeable and her expertise created an almost instant trust and great vibe. That was put to the rest on the second, out to sea dive. The scope of the bigger water and deeper goal of 35 feet freaked me the hell out after getting down the first few meters but Connie kept me in the game long enough that I was able to chill. She literally held my hand and a calm followed. Down to 30 plus feet and nearly an hour later I had the memory of a lifetime... Checking the calendar...next trip...open water certification. Felicity (Manager), Miguel (boat Captain) and Connie were all aces!
Amazing and lovely staff!! Just completed my Scuba Open Water certification with Wet Set. Connie and Ale were very detailed in explaining every step and patient all the way through. Felt safe the entire time, they put safety as their priority. I will definitely be returning to Wet Set for all my future scuba and snorkeling fun! Will highly recommend for any water activities in the Riviera Maya.
Scuba dove with Connie as Master Scuba diver and Ali as her helper. There were awesome . Very have alot of paticience with the group, and very detailed in there instructions. I will be looking forward to my next dive with them. Highly recommended..
From booking to finish staff was amazing. Alex was our guide through discover scuba. He was patient and kind even though we experienced difficulties. Overall, we decided diving wasn't for us but we would HIGHLY recommend this company. Excellent service and value. They took their time and made sure we were look pictures for us. ❤
There is nothing negative I can say about the staff at Wet Set. My husband and I decided to go scuba diving and receive our certification. It was the best decision we ever made. Alex, Thank you so much for being so patience with me, challenging me and always having my back. I never felt uncomfortable once. Dave, you were a perfect fit for my husband Mark. You guys hit it off and spoke each others language lol. The staff speaks perfect English, very respectful, professional and you can tell they love what they do.
The team at WetSet are incredibly friendly, fun and professional. Me and my husband came for a shore dive during our honeymoon. We both hadn’t dived for years and were pretty nervous. Felicity and her team were so attentive and answered all our questions and quieres. When Felicity took us out for our dive she made us run through all our basic skills and got us feeling confident and super comfortable before we headed off. We saw so many amazing fish and it felt fantastic to be back in the water. When we come back next time we plan to go for a cave dive! Thanks so much for getting us back in the water, loved it 😊 Oh and btw the little restaurant next to Wetset serves the most delicious and huge pile of Nachos I’ve ever tried, recommended! 👌🏼
Wet Set is amazing! Got certified here with our FAVORITE dive instructor, Felicity a couple of years ago! She is simply amazing. Very patient & caring & thorough. Prices here are incredible for the service & instruction. Anytime we are in or near Puerto Morelos, Mexico, I will go diving HERE! Best place in all of Yucatan & Quintana Roo! Don't hesitate to check them out.
I have been fortunate enough to dive many times with this excellent shop. Yes, I am a “regular”. This isn’t all about me, though. My friend has been asking about Scuba for a long time. We were finally able to sign her up for the Discover Scuba Diving course. She was treated like royalty! Her personal instructor, Connie, was very attentive. She was in the water, for a shallow shore dive, in a couple hours. Much nicer than hanging in a pool. My friend felt very comfortable the entire time, never rushed, always encouraged. I joined them later in the morning for a very nice boat dive. We went to a local site with a nice wall, lots of coral and life. Again, my friend had a blast. She had a little difficulty descending, but Connie was right beside her the entire time and got her comfortable very quickly. We swam around and enjoyed the dive thoroughly. Lots of videos taken. All in all, I believe we have another scuba diver ready to join the gang! Thanks to Wet Set, Felicity, Connie and the entire crew.
It was my first time diving and it realky was a wonder. Puerto Morelos is the best place to dive it has different diving sites, all of them beautiful and uniques. Im very happy that i went diving with WET SET PUERTO MORELOS, the staff was so kind to us and very proffesional. Thank you guys for the amazing experience, hope to be back soon!!
Me and my two sons tried the “experience scuba diving”-experience, and we had a great, energetic and attentative instructor. It was awesome to try diving, and even though the water was a bit unclear, we saw lots of sea life and corals. All in all a great experience.
I just returned from a trip to Mexico, which was primarily for diving. I chose Wet Set because of their excellent reviews, and I was overly pleased by our experience. Let me tell you why. Customer service: Stafford, the owner, and his staff prioritize customer satisfaction and service above all else. They genuinely want their divers to be safe and thrilled by the experience with them. This is so rare for any business, especially a dive shop. Safety and Thrill: Adriana, the dive master, led four of my dives. She is enamored with the ocean and so passionate about sharing its wonder with her divers. Whether you've dived 300x or just once, she provides a level of attentiveness towards safety and enjoyment that I've yet to find in any other dive master. I feel blessed to have dived with her. Organization: Wet Set organized two experiences through other vendors (whale shark snorkeling and Cozumel diving). They made it so easy, and we trusted their recommended outlets. They told us exactly what to expect, and they were 100% on-point. The only problem we had was, on two days of diving, Wet Set's boat broke down. The first day it didn't affect things, as we were at the site and another boat was there upon our end of dive. But, the second day, we weren't at the site and we had to wait for another boat. Even though this was super annoying, the other things about Wet Set still made the experience with them so good, so I'm willing to overlook this. That's how good they are at the above points!
Wetset was amazing to dive with. I was picked up from my nearby hotel and had a good chat with the staff about the area and the diving on my way to the dive shop. As a relative newcomer to diving, Felicity made my 5th and 6th dive amazing! We saw an abundance of reef fish, lobsters, crabs, barracuda, and a large Moray Eel. On our trip back we also saw a large surfacing turtle. Great equipment and staff. Highly recommend! Trevor (Canadian)
We just got home from a day of scuba diving at wet set diving. I can’t say enough about our experience. Kind, professional and informative is an understatement. We are not certified and took the discover scuba diving gold (dsd) which includes and into lesson, a dive off the beach, followed by lunch at the adjoining restaurant and finally two additional dives 15 min away by boat. This team is absolutely amazing. Located right off the beach, this small family run shop treats everyone as Part of family. There were only two of us on our dive accompanied by two instructors. One instructor, ping, was in training but lead the class like a long term expert. He made us feel comfortable the ENTIRE time. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I booked with Carly in advance. She even took the time for a phone call prior to booking to explain the process and answer all of our questions. After that call there was no doubt in our minds that we wanted to book. When we arrived we were greater warmly by the staff and shark bait (the adorable shop dog). The team genuinely seemed to enjoy their jobs. Thank you to everyone who made our day so amazing.
I was recently in Puerto Morelos for a 10 day vacation. Scuba Open Water Certification has always been on my bucket list. I walked into Wet Set and spoke with Carley. She set things up and did my Discover Scuba that day with Marie. I had so much fun and decided to go ahead and take the full Open Water Cource Certification. Carley was able to schedule me in and after some online training I was back in the water for my Certification dives and exercises. Felicity was my instructor and she was excellent. Not only was she very knowledgeable but had a passion for the sport that really rubs off on you. The one on one training was amazing and I feel that I got more out of the cource than I would have if i took it back in Canada. See you next year Wet Set hooefully with a few more dives under my belt.
I am a certified diver (newly certified with only 7 dives) and my friend is not certified at all. Felicity was very patient with my friend to teach her the "Discover Scuba Diving" and was able to get her over her fears. We had a great time! I did 3 dives - shore dive, dive # 2 I cannot remember the name, and dive # 3 was the fish market. Everyone was polite and professional. Dive shop is small, which I like. I did dives in the GBR in Australia and there were HUGE groups and I did not like that. This was a smaller shop which gave you the opportunity to see more in your dives, and have more interactions with the dive master. The mascot, Shark Bait - deer faced chihuahua was absolutely adorable! I highly recommend this shop for anyone who is new to diving, who has never dived before, or who has 500+ dives.
We are ao happy we found this place! The nicest people, really felt like we made new frienda. We did 4 dives (+1 refresh dive) with wet set and it was excellent! We found them though tripadvisor and send them a WhatsApp, they respond right away, we booked a 2 tank dive for the next day. First we did a refresh from the beach to get comfortable. We did an amazing dive to a wreck with Ale. It was a 60m long C56 from the US navy, so sick! The 2nd tank was with Ben to canyons and cathedrals that had many nice swimthroughs. We also saw 2 nurse sharks there. The next day Carly and Felicity picked us up and went to Taj ma ha cenote. The cenote (fresh water) was an completely different but beautiful and amazing expercience. Seeing the natural light beams through the surface is a like a dream. The halocline (underwater blur line between salt and fresh water) is a thing apart and a once in a live time must-see! Felicity was such an extremely enthusiastic guide and wonderfull person. Thank you so much for the fun and great dives!
Ben, Carly, Noah and crew are excellent in providing scuba diving/snorkeling tours and direction to all but additionally providing additional support as needed. Dave dislocated his arm a year ago so needed help with his equipment and reentering boat after dive. They listened and provided that support. We have introduced new divers to Wet Set and all have been totally satisfied with their experience!
My son took the Discover Diving course, been looking for an opportunity for him to go diving with me. Perfect fit for our family vacation. He took the course and then we followed it with a shore dive immediately after. He had a blast and the marine life was just fantastic. The instruction was great, I highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to try diving.
I got my open water certificate - It was a total blast. Also the night dive. So many new things to see! Possibly the best part was taking my 10 yo daughter on her first dive off the boat! Many thanks to Gary for keeping her under his wing. We will be back next year. Maybe a cenote.
I was in Puerto Morales last week and spent Monday with Carly and the crew at WetSet. They picked me up from my resort and to my pleasure I discovered that I was the only DSD diver that day. I had two incredible dives with Alan and Gary, the Fish Market was the most spectacular dive I have ever done - i have never seen that many fish in one area (outside of an aquarium). Both Alan and Gary were incredible with ensuring I was comfortable and encouraging me the entire time. I will absolutely recommend WetSet to anyone traveling to Mexico and when I return in 2019 for my daughters wedding I will be sure to be booking my dives through them!
Max was a great guide on our two dives into Chikin Ha. A wonderful host and very informative of the caverns.
I was able to go on my first dive with Wetset, I basically knew nothing about diving before my visit. We filled out some paperwork and reviewed safety operations. My instructor was patient and was very knowledgeable and experienced. I really enjoyed myself! Once I was underwater, I was able to relax and enjoy the scenery of fish and coral. I highly recommend Wet Set and I have already started to do more PADI courses online and am planning my next trip! Thank you for a wonderful introduction to Scuba!
My husband and I were staying in a condo in Playa del Carmen and we heard that the reef was great 30 minutes north of us at Puerto Morelos. Our original plans were to go on the Discover Scuba program and then a fun dive after that. The weather was constantly changing, so we decided to get certified instead. We used bad weather days to go on-line to complete the written tests and were able to squeeze in some great dives. Wet Set was very flexible and accommodating and Marina was a great instructor. My husband and I felt confident and safe through the whole process. At Fish Market we saw lobsters, a moray eel and many different types of fish. Marina even pointed out a barracuda we would have otherwise missed. At Paraiso, the reef formations are spectacular. There are a lot of other dives we would like to try after we become rated for deeper water. If you like a smaller, more personalized experience, and great reef diving, Wet Set is the place to go.
Wet Set has truly lived up to all the great reviews they have received so far. It is a Puerto Morelos dive shop located at a beautiful white sand beach with turquoise swim water in shore proximity of a great reef with “Ojo de Agua” inlet of fresh water cenote (the underwater inlet is a local attraction, the cenote, however, is not accessible from that point). I am a Divemaster, and have been diving for over 12 years. Wet Set is definitely one of the best dive operations I have encountered. Each of their very courteous staff is a true PADI professional. I not only had a lot of fun myself diving with the shop owners Lindsay and Tadd, their great lead instructor Lisa, and the awesome photographer Melissa, but also got one of my friends to experience Discover Scuba. Lindsay did a fantastic job introducing my friend to diving in the most professional and safe manner, adding a touch of her hilarious British sense of humor. It brought back memories of what my dive instructor taught me years ago when I was doing my Open Water cert: “Remember – BWARF – check BCD, Weights, Air, Releases, Final OK… - if you forget, think: British Women Are Really Fun”. Lindsay is too modest to use this one… but she definitely could! When my friend was sharing her first dive stories while back at the resort drinking cervezas with the rest of our friends, she said (I am quoting!): “this was the best day of my life”. I think this says it all. Anyway, if you are staying south of Cancun and not too far from Puerto Morelos – give them a jingle or drop them a line, and they will set you up (or “will get you sorted” as Lindsay says). You will not pay more than diving with other outfits, and you will truly feel safe and have a lot of fun… (dives were $99 for two tanks, no upcharge for Nitrox, plus transportation – 250 pesos (around $20 USD) one way from the Secrets Silversands resort …). Also, if interested, ask about their underwater photography - my friend got a CD with truly professional photos from her dives for only $35 USD. After your diving, make sure you go next door for lunch or dinner. The local restaurant Ojo de Agua serves delicious Ceviche made with freshly caught snapper (130 pesos for a huge, 2-person serving!). They give all Wet Set divers 20% discount. Thank you Wet Set, and happy and safe diving to all!
I have never snorkeled or scuba or even been out of the country so there were a lot of firsts this trip and Wet Set was a big part in making it extremely enjoyable. We stayed at the Ojo De Aqua that had it all including the best deal for scuba diving/certification around!! We rented snorkel equipment the first day and inquired about getting scuba certified. Lisa, our instructor was so informative and patient that we couldnt help but tag along on her dive a few hours later with the Discover Scuba program. Of course my first scuba experience was in inclement weather and I freaked out a little. Lisa talked me down-literally talked me down to the bottom of the beautiful blue and I was hooked. Finished my certification in four dayswith plenty of time to enjoy my secluded tropical paradise vacation.
Discover Scuba: I was petrified at the thought of going scuba diving. My partner wanted to do it so I figured I would try it out. Lindsay from the moment we got there was amazing. She was very energetic but had a calming demeanor about her that calmed my fears. She used pictures books do explain the dive to us and when we got into the water she had EACH participant try out the necessary moves while scuba diving. That's a sign of a good instructor, no one slipped through the cracks. She answered questions I was afraid to ask because of how through she was! We were all ready to go! It was an amazing first experience! If I go back I will go to Wet Set!
I did 2 days of diving with Wet Set in January 2013. Booking the trip and getting information was easy as their web site if comprehensive. Lindsay promptly responded to all of my questions via email and was professional and friendly. Very convenient to be able to pay through paypal. The diving experience was great - Wet Set is a well organized shop and had good gear. Both Lindsay and Tadd made me feel welcome and properly informed of the dive sites. The boat and dive experience was good despite rough seas. I felt safe and had a fun time. I definitely hope to dive with them again in the future and recommend them to anyone looking to dive in the area! Additionally, they did a Discover Scuba Dive with 4 of my family members, which was an excellent experience for these newcomers to scuba. My family was very impressed with Lindsay and Tadd's professionalism and found them to be really friendly and patient. Thanks to Wet Set for this great introductory experience!!
Overall, a very good experience. We did the $100 Discover Scuba experience (because we were not certified), which was about an hour to an hour and a half of training and gearing up and then about 45-60 minutes of diving in 10-20 feet of water. The staff seemed very knowledgeable and made sure we were comfortable and safe with our scuba experience. We saw tons of interesting coral and fish! We were staying at Casa Kenwal, which was a block or two walk from Wet Set Diving. They squeezed us in with less than a day's notice (on Christmas Eve Day). The only negative was they were running short on masks and fins due to the large number of customers that day, but it worked out OK because we had our own masks and fins that they said would be OK to use.
We stayed at the Now Jade resort and booked a few dives with wet set before we left our home. I was already certified as a diver and my wife was not so we booked 5 dives for me and a discover SCUBA class for my wife. Understandably my wife was worried about her first experience under the water after her safety lesson and skill session we went out to the open water to do a dive. I can not stress enough how comfortable Lindsay (the owner made us feel) not only were we accompanied by another dive instructor she kept an eye on my wife the entire time. She looked back to make sure she was ok at least two or three times a minute and was right there to help when my wife's mask got a bit flooded or she got nervous. At the end of the dive my wife had a great time but felt a bit tired and was not sure if she wanted to do a second dive Lindsay was very accommodating and took us back to shore so my wife could rest and let me reschedule some dives for the next few days. The next day I went with them to the wreck dive C-56 regrettably the conditions were less than ideal the current was extreme and it was very crowded. Thankfully with Lindsay's help it was still a great dive and we got see some really interesting fish as well as an eagle ray. Without her help recognizing all the fish I am sure I would not have had nearly as good of an experience as I did. When we had made it back to shore Lindsay and Tadd were not able to get a hold of the taxi company to take me back to Now Jade after a few attempts they actually offered to take me back to the hotel in their own car. I can not say enough good things about this couple and their company if you are going to Puerto Morelos and are even thinking about doing a diving or snorkeling trip they are the people to go with. You will not be disappointed.
After having a few days in bed being ill, Wet Set completely made my holiday!! I could not recommend them more highly. Both Lindsay and Tadd were very nice, genuine people and really gave off an impressive vibe. I did my Open Water Certification with Lindsay, and it couldn't have been better! Lindsay and the boat crew, employed by Wet Set, took me out to various dive sites on their own boats, and I was completely blown away by the life under the sea! As I was the only person in my family that was getting certified, my parents were more than happy with me going off on my own, as they felt very assured that I would be safe in their hands. All the staff are very friendly and made me feel as if I had been diving with them for years! I also felt that the equipment was far superior to that I had encountered on previous DSD's. (Discover Scuba Diving) There was a really nice cafe just in front of the dive shop so it was easy to grab a bite to eat in-between dives and there was also a bathroom available as well. All in all, I had an amazing time and would absolutely love it if I could go out and dive with these guys again!! Thank you!
My husband and I tried scuba diving for the first time during our honeymoon a few weeks ago with the Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) course offered by Wet Set. After about an hour of theory and practice in shallow water, we were brought out to the reef for a magnificent 45 minute dive. While my husband went right down towards the bottom, I had a little panic right away it being my first time. Lindsay, one of the owners and our trainer/guide for the day, brought me back up to the surface to make sure I was okay, and then we slowly went back down together. I am very happy for this, as the rest of the dive was amazing. We saw lots of fish, beautiful coral and enjoyed this experience so much that we now plan on completing our diving certification and making this a hobby. The DSD with Wet Set was the perfect 'test' of this activity. Above all, we were very pleased with the friendly, personalized service we received. We will definitely be back to Wet Set if we return to this part of the world! She was patient and attentive. If you are in the Mayan Riviera area, we definitely recommend
