Had a tour with Sandro and Miguel. They were punctual with the pick up time. Very friendly and outgoing. Sandro is very knowledgeable and passionate about teaching us about Mayan/ Mexican culture. Will definitely book again in the future.

Itinerary
Travel back in time during a day trip to the mysterious Maya ruins of Tulum. Uncover the secrets of this ancient civilization as you tour the archeological site with a guide, enjoy some free time to dig your toes into the sand of Tulum's picture-perfect beach and then take a refreshing dip in a cenote. After you're picked up from your hotel, ride along jungle-fringed roads to Tulum, a walled Maya city perched on the coast above the crashing waves of the Caribbean. En route, your guide shares facts about the ancient Maya and the trade routes that crisscross the Yucatan. Once you arrive, enter the archeological site to explore the mysteries of this fascinating and well-preserved city. Listen to theories about Maya rituals, worship, and daily life as you walk around the site's clifftop Castillo. From the site, you can look out over the coast and Tulum's famous stretch of long white sand. After your tour, have some free time to take photos or take a dip in the balmy turquoise waters.
Enjoy the refreshing waters of this breathtaking cenote.

Maybe a top 10 best experience ever. Our guide was just AWESOME!
Timely pickup, good service, and good food; however, the timeline needs to be clearer, and the coordinator was very good.
Gaby was a great guide, explained everything and was very helpful. We would book again for the tour.
Great tour, it was very informative and interesting. The guide let us go at our own pace most of the time.
Sandro the tour guide was outstanding and knowledgeable. He helped a lady that felt ill and a child that was very scared to participate in the cenote activity. He modified the trip for the abilities of each person. Great experience and he’s very knowledgeable.
Good tour for Spanish speakers (I am not, so I felt like burden at times). I didn’t see anything about the following so I will address them here: Things to bring/not bring, Hotel Pickup/Dropoff, Additional Fees, Check-in, and lunch timing. I want to emphasize that it was worth the day to take this excursion and was cared for by main driver (Hugo) and tour guide (Sandro). Pickup Time: Chatting with the girls from Canada they shared that they had to be ready for pickup at 6am as their hotel was at the Northern area of Cancun. At the Westin (South) our pickup time was at 6:30am and came at an extra fee so keep that in mind. They gave a “closest” free pickup spot that I would’ve had to get to on my own, but as solo traveler it felt safer to be picked up outside of the hotel lobby. As this is an early timeframe I recommend that you have something for breakfast in your room as the restaurants don’t open that early. Thankfully I bring packets of oatmeal for occasions such as these. At least pickup some fruit the night before. Things to bring: I wanted to kiss my Yeti thermos that had my ice water that I made time to pack for the day! My battery powered fan is worth its weight in gold, and my umbrella was worth the extra weight it added to my luggage. I would classify all these items as required if you live in “colder” climates and are visiting the region in late spring (Mid May). The only downside of this day was that the pickup driver almost had a disdain for speaking English. He was able to confirm I was to be picked up and my name, but outside of that he essentially ignored me until we met up with our tour bus (we then checked in with a large bus and met our tour guide). To make checking in easier I would recommend that you print out your voucher rather than having it on your phone as checking in one the main bus would’ve gone faster. Water: In fact, you cannot bring plastic water bottles into the Park (Tulum itself), they only allow thermos’s like mine (guide held up my Yeti as an example). They take maintenance of this beautiful park very seriously and I can appreciate that! However, for those that had to leave their plastic water bottles on the bus…I was very concerned given the rising temperatures. There is canned water you can purchase from the library/gift shop so that is an option, however on a 90 degree day a sip of ice water from my thermos was like heaven and received some envious looks as I took a drink and the ice made itself known. People who vape (I’m not one, but there were some others): It will need to be left on the bus as it is prohibited in the park. In fact if you have a large backpack you will need to leave that behind as well. You will have to go through metal detectors/etc and they encourage bare essentials only. I ended up leaving my small dry bag on the bus and it was perfectly safe. I think Hugo stayed with it most of the time, or had it locked when he wasn’t. Snack: I highly recommend you bring a snack with you. If not, another option is to get a snack at the market in Tulum (after the tour - which would be around noon-1pm). There was a nice little restaurant where you could sit in the shade and have a light snack and cold drink. I know, this tour says lunch is included. And it is, but you will be driving to Cenote, swimming in Cenote, and then you will have lunch (approximately 2:30pm). So having a small apple or banana before you get off the bus in Tulum would’ve been great if I had only known lunch means “late” lunch. Tour: I love history and learning about cultures, especially ancient cultures. Sandro is a great teacher and it shows. He made time to talk through the significance of Tulum and what daily life would’ve been like…which I love to learn about. He made time for everyone (and then speak in English for the 5 of us who needed it) and was easy to ask follow up questions to…which I did. Bathrooms: All bathrooms in Tulum and Cenote were very clean and had attendants (definitely leave a tip as they were very gracious). So you can leave the TP at home (this is for the ladies of course). Cenote: What I love about Mexico is that it is so diverse when it comes to terrain/landscapes. You can visit one Cenote and it would be totally different than the next one. That’s what I liked about this tour as well. This specific Cenote apparently is favored by cave divers (as there is a special section just for them). You can swim into some caves that looked like fun, but I’m not a strong swimmer so I stayed behind and soaked me feet…where fish came to give my toes some light taps :) They also have hammocks if you’d rather rest. I did both and enjoyed my visit. I wish that I had known the Cenote was for strong swimmers only otherwise I wouldn’t have worn my swimsuit. So if you are not a strong swimmer leave the swimsuit at the hotel and just wear something light (it can be HOT) and comfortable. Lunch: Last (and it felt like a millennia) but not least the lunch was AMAZING! I think it was the combination of the local cuisine and being absolutely ravenous by lunch time, but was healthy and delicious. They even had salad and some vegetarian options (which I can’t speak to as I am not). The pork taco was my favorite! Drop off: This was seamless as we got to stay on the big bus to be dropped off at our hotel. Again, Hugo the driver did a great job getting us back to Cancun safely…and quickly :) I didn’t know a bus that size had that kind of handling power. I hope that this helps someone in reading this! I definitely recommend the tour, just a couple of things to be mindful of to make your visit that much more pleasant
There was no microphone - hard to hear. Long wait at the shops before the tour, with constant sales pressure. (We had to wait there/no other choice). No water. Tour description didn’t mention need for reusable water bottle, and didn’t mention we needed to bring towels and insect repellant. Had to buy bug spray there and a refillable water bottle that was so cheaply made that it leaked everywhere. It would have been appropriate to let us know ahead of time. We felt like it was a sales tactic. Other than that we had a good time and the cenote was incredible.
Our excursion was great, English speaking tour guide to explain Telum.history, lots of time to look around the market and ruins. Cenote Nohoch was excellent and no the water isn't cold, the food was authentic Mexican and was delicious. I would recommend this.
My husband and I booked this tour along with our first Mexico experience and couldn't have asked for anything to be better! The tour bus conveniently picked us up near our hotel in Playa del Carmen and headed to Tulum to see the Ruins. Our tour guide was Angel, who so clearly described details of Mayan history that even this non-history buff loved every minute of it. He carefully answered questions asked by others in our small group (we had 11, which allowed for more conversation-like interactions and fun details that would not have been accommodated by a huge group!), adding more depth and flavor to the overall tour. Angel is knowledgeable and passionate about all of the topics related to these ruins, making him easy to listen to, and catch on to his love for his own history & heritage. Next we went to Cenote Nohoch, expertly transported by our driver Rudolfo. The roads are not the best, narrow & bumpy! We arrived safe & sound! Our personal items were secure on the bus; the crew at this Cenote equipped us with storage cubbies for our clothes, etc. while we were off swimming. The air & water were about the same temperature-- 78 degrees or so, very comfortable! Everyone wore life jackets (required-- plus no one was left out-- we even had a couple of non-swimmers in our group, who had a fabulous, very memorable time!) while we explored the caves lined with fabulous stalagtites & stalagmites--- amazing!!! A photographer came along, so no one had to worry about losing or drowning their phones/cameras. Angel continued to tell-all about the cenotes. Fascinating! Lastly we were treated to a late lunch, featuring buffet/picnic style Yucatan food. It was absolutely delicious, and welcome! If you get a chance to go on this excursion, GO! It is not to be missed, I guarantee you will not regret it! We could not stop talking about it.
Great time seeing the ruins, would've appreciated more time at the archeological site to see everything. Did not care for the shopping part. Cenotes were incredible.
Wonderful trip to the cenote with our driver help us navigate the place and Gregorio (the guide) was very cheerful and made us enjoy the day.
Absolutely terrible. Didn’t even get picked up? I spent so long planning this trip and they go to the wrong hotel. The communication was terrible, basicallly none at all. We had to test two platform agents and call the tour operator our selves to find the pick up time for us, which was sent on WhatsApp? But no one told us it’s on WhatsApp, and no where was it mentioned on the listing. That’s fine, we wait for the pick up at the pick up time at my hotel THAT THEY CONFIRMED, they go to the wrong hotel. I triple checked to see if I left the wrong address, but no. They went to the wrong hotel with a similar name… during the communications with the pick up person, I’m not sure if it because they don’t speak English? Left us on delivered for so long, answered with one video showing he’s in the wrong hotel lobby, and told us to come out immediately. Insane. Overall, terrible communication, feels like a whole job just to talk to them. Left my whole day now since they left without picking us up. Do not recommend at all.
The company phone number is non operational and no one responds to calls or text messages. Is this a huge fraud organization?
Ismael was really friendly and I had a good day out to Tulum. I recommend this to anyone in Cancun!!
My recent visit to Tulum, Mexico was incredibly disappointing and frustrating. What’s marketed as a tropical paradise turned out to be overpriced, overcrowded, and poorly managed. • Security Guards Behaving Aggressively: One of the worst parts of the experience was the rude and aggressive behavior of the security guards. I even witnessed an incident where a tourist was waxed (harassed/pushed around)—completely unprovoked. This is unacceptable and makes tourists feel unsafe. • Unreasonable Charges: Hotels are outrageously expensive, and they nickel-and-dime you for everything. Drinks, food, even basic services are priced like you’re in a luxury European city—but with none of the quality or service. • Beaches Covered in Seaweed: The beaches—one of the main reasons people come here—were full of smelly seaweed, making it almost impossible to enjoy a swim or even relax by the shore. No effort was made by the authorities or resorts to clean it up. Honestly, Tulum has potential, but the tourist exploitation, lack of proper hospitality, and sense of danger from local enforcement/security really ruined the trip for me. Not worth the hype, not worth the money, and definitely not worth the risk.
Tulum was super hot as expected so bring a hat and metal water bottle. The Cenote was amazing. The driver (Santiago) and guide (Tomas) did a great job. The only downside is it took 4 hours to pick everyone up at their hotels and 3 hours to drop off.
The guide Sandro was great. Really helped me out since I was the only one who didn't speak Spanish. Would highly recommend
The company is very very bad. We booked a tour and they said to call them 24 hours prior to confirm hotel pickup and the number they have on the confirmation to call is out of service. They did not pick us up and ruined our vacation because for 2 days we have been trying to reach them by phone and email and no response. We even got up really early and went out one hour earlier and waited 2 hours and nothing. They took our money and did not provide the service. We booked through Viator and they have also tried to reach out to them with no luck. DO NOT BOOK ANYTHING THAT USES THIS COMPANY!
I will be honest in my review. The stars I put here are for our tour guide Sandro and bus driver David. They are amazing! However we didn’t enjoy the trip and just because of the logistics… the tour organizers must rethink the logistics. In the tour description it says the tour is 8 hrs total. However it was more than 13 hrs total with pick up and drop of all people. They filled the bus from all over Cancun areas! So we basically were 4+ hours picking up passengers and 4+ hours dropping them back at hotels. Bus was full of passengers, screaming kids, sick people 🤮 it was horrible experience to be honest.
For people going to the Ancient Mayan Ruins, wear something light, it gets very hot at times while touring. People might bring portable water jugs, because they don't allow bottled plastic bottles inside the ruins sites. The cenote place we went is so mesmerizing and relaxing, beautiful place.
This is an extremely hot tour and a good hike in the summertime. Take an umbrella and note that you cannot take your own plastic bottles of water or any kind of drink. They must be in a container.. Also take a waterproof flashlight to swim through the cavern
Overall a great experience, cool to see, and awesome cenote. However, only book if you plan to be away ALL day. We stayed in the Hotel Zone. We were picked up at 715a (15 minutes late) and did not return until 530p. It was 3 hours on the bus both ways so only about 3 hours not on the bus. For whatever reason we had to stop and pick up people from 3 different hotels to bring them to a different bus not involved in our trip... so bot sure why we had to be delayed for someone elses trip. However overall Sandro (our guide) was very nice and knowledgeable and the sights were awesome. Just a long day on a bus.
What can you say? It's the same old scam the local tour operators have been doing for years. Right down to telling you that the area has dengue fever but if you buy their mosquito repellent (at a discount) it will save your life. Overpriced and boring. Tulum is a 30 minute chat about the history that is in all guide books, and the cenote is a short swim with a life vest on. You run the gauntlet of restaurants and dressed up mayan performers, plus the capuchin monkeys tied to their handlers that you have to pay to have your photo taken with. Then at the end the guide and driver feel they should get a tip for doing the job that you paid for already. It's the usual fake friendliness to make you part with more money. They prey on your gullibility. Maybe you'll enjoy it, I didn't. Save your money.
We had a great time. Pick up on time directly at the resort Ocean Riviera Paradise and secure drop off. Our guide Yul was amazing.
The guide, Sandro, and the driver, Martin, were great. The guide was very knowledgeable and gave us new information about Tulum. However, it was just scorching hot and involves a lot and I mean A LOT of walking. Just hydrate yourself, bring sun screen and wear comfortable footwear. I wouldn’t really recommend this tour if you’re coming from Cancun Hotel Zone because it is far and the tour only includes 2 places, the Tulum Archaeological Site and the Tortuga Cenote. If you really want to visit these places, it is better if you stay for a night or two in Tulum so that you can also visit other wonderful places in Tulum area.
Tulum ruins were great and our guide Sandro gave lots of interesting information about the Mayan culture and history. Cooling off afterwards in a cenote was a welcome break from the heat!
Wonderful experience and great guides. We enjoyed all the stops and the tour guide was super knowledgeable.
First we were supposed to be picked up at 8am but the next morning at 7:05 we received a text what’s up app asking where we were . I responded that we were to meet at 8am then I received a text again on what’s up app say I texted you yesterday that it would be at 7am. I never saw that text or responded to it. Why would this person assume I saw it without confirmation! Then at the hotel why didn’t they go to the front desk and have them call our room . We were not the only ones who missed the trip. I hope you will issue a refund without me pressing the issue further .
After we booked and paid for the tour we were notified that we would have to find our own way back from the cenote. As we’d only booked the day before we could not cancel without losing all of our money. Most tours would drop you back at the pickup place, but not this one. We were also charged extra (though this was noted) which made this not the good deal that it first appeared. Staying in Tulum, it was have been more advantageous for us to take a collectivo to the ruins, pay for a guide and take a collectivo back to Tulum. The shops in the area are a rip off, charging us in US dollars rather than pesos.
Picked up from Cancun hotel and headed 2 hours south to Tulum in a nice air conditioned bus. Explored the Tulum archeological site for a little under 3 hours. Bring sunscreen or long sleeves and/or a hat. It was hot and mostly exposed to the sun. Tomas was informative about Mayan history. We were then given time on our own to explore. Had some tacos before heading to the Cenote. The cenote was refreshing and we were able to jump off of 2 platforms into the water- it was deep enough to be safe. After the cenote we headed the 2 hours back to Cancun. The trip felt safe, the bus was nice and cold. I would recommend this trip just keep in mind it’s 10 hours.
Sandro was a great guide. He was very personable and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the trip. Perfect amount of time. Cenote site was nice after Tulum ruins. Very Refreshing! However not much to do but take a dip and swim. Not too picturesque. Recommend bringing your own towel, mosquito repellent, sun screen and water.
Amazing trip! Our tour guide, Tomas, was very passionate and informative. Great value for your money - would recommend to anyone looking to to visit the ruins and cool off at the cenote.
Tour of tulum ruins was good but very brief, Tortuga cenote was amazing, lovely emerald green refreshing water. Morning Pick up was 15 min late, and included 6 hotel stops plus a bus transfer and 30 min at the tourist shop. So tour that should be a half day was a full day with all the wasted pick up time. No matter how good the guide is, vacation time is precious and I’d rather not spend 4 hours getting there when it’s a 45 min drive…
Sandro was awesome, very patient with our daughter. The ruins have a cool history, and the center was clean and refreshing.
Very nice tour , our guide Thomas was very knowledgeable about Tulim and the Mayan archeological site , I highly recommend this your
Tulum was beautiful and the tour was short and sweet (which was nice considering how hot it was!) Our tour guide Carlos picked us up for a short 20 minute ride from Palladium Resort. He told us about the Mayan culture and took us through Tulum. One thing I wish we knew before was you can't take plastic water bottles into the park. You can have a reusable one though. After we had a lot of down time in the shopping market. Time to eat and shop, but we had to wait on Tomas in the heat until he finished his lunch to get into the bus. Then we went to a cenote which was very refreshing, but we thought it was going to be more cave-like than it was. It reminded us of an open Florida spring. Overall we had a great time and enjoyed the scenery.
The guide and driver never showed up! My group of 5 waited 1.5 hours for them to come to the pick up point and they never came! I contacted the tour 3 times during the 1.5 hours and never received a response. We were scammed!
We availed of the hotel pick-up which was very convenient. The bus was a comfortable ride. Sandro was very informative and good guide. He even used pictures to illustrate some of the historical facts about the Tulum ruins. We didn't take the plunge at the cenote but he recommended that we can dip our feet in the water for some fish spa/massage which we did. It tickled at first but it was relaxing when we got used to it.
So fun!! The cenotes were beautiful, that was my favorite part. Tour guides were very knowledgeable. Whole trip was very organized, I’d recommend! The bus ride is two hours each way. Bring towels because we forgot to!
Tomas was very good, friendly and knowledgeable. The pickup was on time. Full size bus for 14 people, lots of room. Tulum was excellent but no water stations and the Cenote were fun.
The sites were beautiful. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and funny. He made our trip worth every second. Thank you!
This tour surpassed our expectations. After reading some mixed reviews we were a little skeptical but our tour from start to finish was five stars. The guide, Tomas was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, professional and patient. He took his time to make us all feel comfortable, engaged and confident about our experiences. He gave us ample time and did not rush us during the tour - we even stopped at the shopping area of Tulum before entering the ruins for free tequila tasting! After we were taken to the cenotes for a refreshing dip and the scenery was absolutely captivating. 100% recommend if you are in Cancun and looking for a day trip! The only downside is that you will spend a few hours picking up and dropping off other passengers before and after the excursions but everything was very well organized and communicated clearly.
What an awesome day. Sandro our tour guide was a delight, Very good knowledge and friendly. Ernesto the coach driver polite and friendly. Would definitely recommend this trip.
Tomas was the best tour guide ever! Very informative, funny and just a really super nice person. He even watched our belongings while we were swimming in the cenote! Highly recommended!
Excellent guide and the tour was great. The cenote we went to near Tulum was very family friendly and had adventure park with zip lining.
I think it was a fun trip. The only negatives however were the hidden cost with the cenote and tulum. It’s acrually an extra $20 per person ($15 cenote & $5 for tulum) they should build that into the price because it can cause confusion. Also the bus ride is 2.5+ hours both ways from Cancun which should be communicated as well
Overall this is a good trip but the transportation took way too long. We spent 2.5 hours getting to Tulum which is only a 50 minute drive from Playa del Carmen. I guess that it the downfall of a large group trip, you have to pickup at a ton of hotels. But at least it was a comfortable air conditioned bus. Thomas gave a nice tour of Tulum site and watched over our belongings at the Cenote, and Willie the driver was nice. I enjoyed having plenty of time at Tulum and the cenote and didn't feel rushed. There were the typical hard sells and tourist stuff, but not too bad. You will need to add $20/person to the cost for the taxes/fees.
WORST EXPERIENCE OF OUR LIVES. We were abandoned without our clothes and belongings in the Cenote and there is more. I booked the trip seeing the high rating and realized that YOU SHOULD NOT TRUST RATINGS AND THESE ARE OFTEN FORCED AND PAID RATINGS. So we booked the hotel pickup option. No one bothered to contact us after taking our money (we travel around the world very frequently and never experienced this kind of negligence before this). Then, when I called and asked them to pick us up from our hotel, they REFUSED. When I asked for a refund, they started HANGING UP MY CALLS! I had the WhatsApp number; when I messaged, they BLOCKED ME! I was traveling with my senior parents and had nothing else planned for the day, so we walked down to their standard pickup location and was able to board the bus. The guide seemed very nice initially until he ABANDONED US WITHOUT OUR CLOTHES AND BELONGINGS AT THE CENOTE! He was supposed to get us when it was time to leave, but he just disappeared! My sister and I were on the lookout always, so when we saw him not at his standard location, we rushed to catch up. The walk out of the jungle was at least 15 minutes and we had to do that in our bathing suits. It was quite cold. The guide took my 70+ year-old parents, who don’t speak Spanish, with him and gave them the impression that we were right behind; whereas, he did NOT even look for us. My sister and I rushed to the parking where we caught a glimpse of the guide. He rushed us into a different bus saying that OUR BUS BROKE DOWN! He did not give us time to change or collect our belongings! Since the morning, we had been requesting him to crank down the air conditioning as it was freezing and most of the bus vents were broken, so the air flow was out of control. It was no different in the other bus. He did not even stop to let us change into dry clothes. It would only take 5 mins but he refused to do that initially and for the next 1 hour we had to sit in the chilled bus with wet clothes. My sister and I had to repeatedly ask him to let us use the washroom to change and he started arguing back and lying through his teeth. We finally managed to stop somewhere and change but we already caught cold before that. THESE ARE THE NEGLIGENT TOUR OPERATORS WHO LEAVE UNASSUMING TOURISTS TO DIE! NO SENSE OF RESPONSIBILITY AND OUTRIGHT LIERS! It happened to us and it can (and will likely) happen to you?as THEY ARE TOO COMMERCIAL TO CARE! Do NOT book with THEM!
This was my first excursion I ever did in Mexico and it was by far the best! First off, Tomas, our tour guide was FANTASTIC. He was so knowledgeable and informative and you can tell he really does love his job and sharing all knowledge about his culture. We were the first stop for pick ups at 7am at our hotel at Paradisus La Perla and they showed up exactly at 7am on the dot. By the time we got to the rest of the hotels and picked everyone else up and got to the ruins it was about 9:45. The tulum ruins was amazing and it is a must. We stayed there until about 12:35 then heading to a stop to get changed into our bathing suits then headed to the cenote which was absolutely gorgeous!!!! We left the cenote about 2:30-2:40 and we arrived back at our hotel at 4:30 since we were the last stop to drop off. Overall it was a great experience and the best part was it was $45!!!!!! You can’t beat it!!!! I recommend this to anyone that is looking for a nice excursions that doesn’t want to spend 13 hour out all day!
