We a pleasant surprise this Glass Bottom Boat tour. Since no one else signed up it turned in to a private boat tour. No bad views on this boat. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the ocean life we saw during our tour. Would definitely recommend and would do it again. You will not be disappointed!!!

We did this activity on the last day of our stay in Cancún, mainly as a way to fill our time before leaving. We honestly didn’t have very high expectations, but it turned out to be a wonderful surprise and a truly memorable experience. We had the opportunity to take some incredible photos, and despite the presence of sargassum, the crew took us to a fantastic spot where we could really enjoy the experience. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised and very happy we decided to do this activity.

This was the most disappointing experience of our trip. It was advertised as a tour with a great opportunity to take photos, but in reality we were captive for most of the trip, idling in. A boring spot while the crew took mandatory photos of everyone. The whole experience was just a sales pitch for expensive photographs. The boat rushed to a single location where we spent well over an hour—about 85% of the entire trip—sitting and waiting while the photographer took pictures of other passengers. There was essentially no sightseeing, and even the ride to and from the photo location felt rushed. If this experience had been described honestly as a photo session on a boat, we never would have booked it. The photo sales were extremely aggressive. We were told that if we waited until we returned to the dock, the company’s bosses would charge us more for the photos, so we should buy them immediately from the crew instead. They also threatened us saying we were lucky and “we better not tell.” As we returned to the marina, the captain idled about a minute from the dock for roughly ten minutes while another couple finished purchasing their photo package.. There were several other issues that left a bad impression. At one point, a child began crying, and the guide joked, “If you keep crying, we’ll throw you in the sea.” Whether intended as humor or not, it was inappropriate. On the ride out we passed over a sea turtle, and only some passengers saw it. Instead of slowing down or turning around so everyone could enjoy the sighting, the guide simply said we should have been paying better attention and continued on. The dock fee was another unpleasant surprise. It was US$28 per person—more than the cost of the booking itself. Throughout Cancun and Isla Mujeres we paid dock fees ranging from US$10–20 for other excursions, so this seemed unusually high. When I asked why, I was told it was because I booked through TripAdvisor. I can’t verify whether that’s true, but I wish the total cost had been much clearer before booking. The listing also stated that everyone would receive two beers or two waters, but everyone on our boat only received one. The final disappointment was management’s response. I politely explained that I believed the experience had been misleadingly advertised and requested a refund because we would not have booked it had we known the majority of the trip would be spent waiting during a photo shoot. The curly-haired manager told me he would not refund a cent because we already took the tour. My biggest regret isn’t the money—it was losing valuable vacation time on an experience that didn’t match its description. If you’re looking for sightseeing or a genuine boat tour, I’d recommend choosing a different company. Not sure if all the clear boat tours feel this much like. A hustle, but this one stank.

This was such a great experience! The wildlife you get to see is amazing! I seen Stingrays, Sea Turtles, Starfish, and many very cool varieties of fish. I highly recommend this to anyone

This experience on a transparent boat in Cancun is fantastic for capturing unforgettable photos of the Mexican Caribbean. I went with my friends, and we came away with amazing memories of the turquoise sea you have to try it. I highly recommend it since you can see a great variety of marine life in its full splendor. My captain, Juan, was very attentive and helpful, and my friends and I were really happy with the experience.

We did the Clear Boat tour in Cancún and it was such a fun, different experience. Being on a fully transparent boat and seeing the water below while cruising was honestly really cool. The crew was friendly, everything was well organized, and we got some amazing pictures. It’s a short tour but definitely worth it if you want something unique and relaxed

A different experience from anything you’ll find in Cancun. It’s truly a great way to capture memorable photos. I think the timing of your session makes a big difference—I took this activity on a friend’s recommendation, and their photos looked very different from mine, but I believe mine turned out much better. You definitely have to try this activity.

I read a very negative review, but I think this tour is simply different from what some people expect. Yes, it’s a short activity, but considering the price, it feels quite fair—actually one of the most reasonable options in Cancún, where many experiences can be overpriced. This is mainly a scenic, photo-focused tour to observe the landscape and local wildlife. In my case, I had a great experience: I saw many fish, several turtles, and even a crocodile, which made it very worthwhile. I believe expectations are key. For example, expecting to see flamingos in this area is unrealistic, since they are not typically found in this part of Quintana Roo. Overall, if you understand that it’s a short, visual nature experience, it can be very enjoyable and well worth the price.

very disappointed, we got sold that we would see an amazing experience viewing monkeys, flamingo and crocodiles. We saw one turtle that we zoomed past and a couple of fish which you would be better off seeing in an aquarium. It was basically an overpriced photoshoot that charged extra for when you wanted the photos for yourself digitally. Not worth money or time would not recommend unless you just want an overpriced photoshoot of yourself. No sea life involved

Amazing experience for our family of 4. We saw sea turtles, manta rays and lots of different fish. We also saw a sunken ship to the delight of my son. Alberto and Manuel were really fun guides. I will warn you to take meds beforehand if you get motion sickness as I had a hard time enjoying the tour after starting to feel badly.

This company is a big joke. Canceled didn’t notify me by the app or call me, I found out when I got to the office. Never booking them. They say it was due to the weather and they found out that morning. They could have used the app to notify me or call and text. Now after I disputed the fee they text me that night and wanted me to rebook. They are rude and not professional.

It was cancelled due to weather and so far we haven't gotten a refund.

I was hesitant to book based off the reviews. Spent $40 on taxi to arrive and be told they were not able to accommodate the reservation.

My boat tour was phenomenal The clear boat makes the experience so much better, seeing ocean floor with wildlife beneath is super cool. My tour guide was the best they explained everything so well and I appreciate that. Recommended by me to everyone that needs the excitement atm!

Purchased tickets,arrived at pick up location. Viator didn't send them my confirmation. Almost missed the tour. Asked for a refund. Had to pay out of pocket at the tour place.

The vast majority of the time is just spent taking pictures. We wanted to see wildlife, but instead we took a boat ride only so we could take photos. Additionally, the platform allowed us to book for 1 PM and when we showed up, they told us there wasn’t room for all of us at that time so we had to choose a different time.

Perfectly time experience. Knowing the floating motion can create some nausea, they have this excursion timed just right. The views below are awe inspiring. The team then completed a mini photo shoot for everyone on-board along with group photos. Great quality, great value.

We had an amazing experience being able to go out on the water and see everything around and below you at the same time was incredible. The staff was great and very well informed. It was a great value for your money. And anyone looking for a shorter trip it's perfect. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to get out on the water and experience the true Caribbean sea.
