Chichen Itza Lds Tour All Inclusive From Cancun (Private)

Had a great time on our tour, the guides did a great job explaining the history in a way that kept your attention! We spent all day with the guides and they didn’t rush us through any of the experiences! 10/10 recommend booking with them!!

This was our second time taking this tour! We loved it so much the first time that we brought our kids back to go on it as well. Knowledgeable tour guides! Friendly and make you feel comfortable. Easy to ask questions and get answers. We loved the personal tour experience. Clean transportation, great lunch and overall the best experience! Thank you!

Lemuel provided the best possible experience: 1) He showed up on time even though we had resort issues and arrived 15 minutes late. Not one word of complaint or guilt from him. Just grace. 2) Great driver and very friendly. 3) Great tour was amazing and he shared various possible perspectives with Book of Mormon references. His presentation left room for different perspectives and was not simplistically nor naively delivered. You won’t get this perspective from most others. 4) Rather than going to an afternoon cenote, for a small extra fee that we paid to the park, he kindly took us to another site: Ek Balam! The two sites together were absolutely amazing and sacred experiences. 5) Lemuel was patient and afforded plenty of time to experience both parks at a reasonable pace. 6) The lunch was at a large, well maintained buffet. He got us there ahead of a huge rush between our tours. 7) We needed some extra help after the tour because we left some items in the van. He kindly helped us retrieve them.

Informative and worthwhile.

So far we've been on two tours with Lemuel Jr. and we couldn't be happier!! We saw Chichen Itza with lunch and the Ik Kil Cenote a couple of days ago and today we went to Tulum with lunch and the Zemway Cenote. Lemuel does a fantastic job of relating the Mayan ruins to the Book of Mormon. It was so eye opening and truly inspiring! Having a private tour with our own air conditioned car and a tour guide who was talking to just three of us instead of 50 of us was so worth the money!! The food at the two restaurants that Lemuel took us to was delicious as well! It seemed very authentic! We didn't want to stop eating!! My 75 year old mother doesn't walk well and Lemuel went out of his way to make sure she was on a trail that she was comfortable with, and if possible, he got permission to drive his car further into the monument so she would avoid difficult areas. I would recommend Lemuel Jr. to anyone looking for a tour in Cancun.

We had the best two days touring with Lemuel. He was friendly and knowledgeable and it felt like saying goodbye to a great friend when the tours were over. We would love to tour with him again.

Lemuel and Giovanni made sure we were taken care of the whole time. Could not have asked for a better time. Would recommend them to anyone. Our experience to Chichen itza was amazing. Lemuel was our tour guide and he was very knowledgeable and hospitable. We thoroughly enjoyed being with him and felt comfortable and safe. If you are looking for very well educated guide who is engaging, fun, smart, who knows the best times of day to visit sites and the best places to go for food, along with how to keep you as comfortable as possible in the hot Mexico sun, Lemuel is your guy! Visiting the ruins in Mexico has been on my bucket list for a very long time. Having the opportunity to learn from Lemuel as he taught all about the history of the area and related it to scripture was a priceless adventure for our family. We had our family of 6 ( with one newly returned LDS missionary) and my parents making a group of 8. Lemuel's knowledge and passion for the area was incredible. Not only does he know all of the history extremely well, his family has deep roots in the area and has a knowledge and connection to the ruins because of their family's history of living where they do. We visited Chichen Itza, Ek Balam, and a cenote in one day with Lemuel. I found out later, that they prefer to do only 2 activities per day, and now I can understand why, because it was a very busy day, but Lemuel kept us organized and moving so we could see everything we wanted to. I am so glad we got to see all three sites on this day. It was the highlight of our trip to Cancun! Pick up was super easy, and we headed to Chichen Itza as Lemuel taught us all about the history. We drove through a small village and Lemuel stopped so he could buy us some "apple bananas" to try. They were delicious! We got to Chichen Itza early enough that the heat wasn't unbearable, but Lemuel made sure we had umbrellas to keep out of the sun. He even carried our water for us so we could enjoy the site as much as possible. He knew all the best places for pictures, and made sure to take a lot of them. As we were leaving Chichen Itza, all the tour busses were arriving, I was so glad that Lemuel knew how early we needed to get there to avoid the extra large crowds and worst heat of the day. We then headed to a beautiful Hacienda that had a restaurant inside with delicious authentic Mexican food, we were the only ones there, as we had gotten there early, and then after enjoying our lunch, we headed to the Ik Kil Cenote. The Cenote was absolutely beautiful. I wish we had a little more time there, but that was my own doing because we wanted to do 3 things in one day. Again, the crowds started to trickle in just as it was time for us to start heading out. Lemuel definitely knows the best timing for all these places. After cooling off in the Cenote, we headed to Ek Balam. This place felt extra special. It was a much less crowded area and felt a lot more relaxed The ruins were incredible. Maybe not as impressive size wise as Chichen Itza, but impressive in a different way. I can't remember what the part is called, but you get to climb up the ruin, and up near the top are some very beautiful sculptures and pictures on the wall. Some of the things that Lemuel pointed out to us were very interesting and really got me thinking about the connections between the people that lived here, and the similarities between Solomon's temple. If you are looking for a tour guide in this area, I promise, you won't regret a tour with Lemuel. especially if you are LDS, but even if you're not. Every one of us enjoyed our experience with him. We learned a lot of really cool history, but made priceless connections to our own beliefs as well. Thank you Lemuel!!

Lemuel was an amazing tour guide. He did a great job sharing with us the correlations between what we read about in the Book of Mormon and the ruins at Chichen Itza. My kids all loved diving into the scriptures to learn about these things as we drove out. He was very hospitable, had waters for us, and made sure we stopped to get snacks when the kids were hungry. The tour at Chichen Itza was outstanding. If you want a LDS version, book with Lemuel. Lunch was great and the Cenote after was amazing and refreshing.

Had a wonderful time seeing Chichen Itza. Lemuel taught us the history, showed us pictures and reviewed scriptures. Provided ice cold waters as it was a little warm. After a nice lunch, picked up some mangoes that were delicious and stopped at a local ice cream shop for a refreshing treat. Highly recommend nded - none better than Lemuel!

Lemuel was the best!! We had a large group of 26 people ranging from 2 months to 66 years old. He immediately made us all feel welcome. We went to Tulum first, where he had many interesting insights and stories that we enjoyed. Afterwards, we went to a Cenote which was very nice and not crowded at all. The lunch served at the cenote was also super delicious! After the trip, most of the older kids, teens and adults said their favorite part of the whole Cancun trip was going to tour Tulum and listening to Lemuel. We will all remember the tour, how we felt and what we learned for a long time! He was so patient and great with all of our young kids who are sometimes not the most attentive audience. Aside from our tour, he also helped us get transportation to and from the airport to our hotel. We highly recommend booking with Lemuel! You will not be disappointed!

The Steins from Idaho (Family of 5) had an awesome time with Lemuel! We were treated like royalty and saw Chichen-itza, Tulum and went on a snorkling dinner cruise! The best part was the water grotto! Swimming in fresh water in a massive cave like sink hole. Lemual was very kind and informative! If you are going to cancun (viper pit) make sure and give Lemuel a call. You wont be dissapointed!

This tour was definitely the highlight of our weeklong trip! Lemuel was a phenomenal guide! His knowledge and passion were evident right away. We especially appreciated his organization and attention to every detail. On the way there, he had pictures and videos organized for us to look at on his iPad. He would tell us which picture to look at and then would explain what we were looking at. This was super nice because it not only made the car ride go by quick, but we had a good understanding of things before we even saw them. He even had this amazing eucalyptus spray for us to use so we wouldn’t get carsick! We appreciated that he got us to Chichen Itza before a lot of the crowds and he knew all the best spots to take pictures! We loved that he shared facts with us and also tied in scriptures. He has a wonderful spirit about him, and we will definitely be going back for more tours in the future!

We went on three excursions with Lemuel and Lemuel Jr. each excursion was an amazing experience. We had a great time exploring Cancun. We enjoyed Chichén Itzá and Tulum and a private yacht tour with snorkeling. It was great to have such private one on one experience with just our family.

We especially appreciated Lemuel’s insight from the LDS perspectives that we asked him to share. This was our second time with this amazing company. Our first was in 2010, and we loved it so much that we wanted to take our now 16-year-old son. We spent a day with Lemuel Jr. visiting Koba, Tulum, and a cenote, then a second day with Lemuel Sr. visiting Ek Balam and Chichen Itza. Absolutely incredible experience once again! We learned so many amazing things and felt closer to our Savior because of the experience. Both Lemuel the elder and the younger were wonderful to be with and very knowledgeable. We spent New Year’s Eve day touring Tulum with Lemuel. Can’t think of a better experience. He is such a wonderful guide. So knowledgeable, kind and thoughtful. We also went to a beautiful cenote. Cliff jumped, did back flips, and had a delicious Mexican buffet with some of the best agua fresca I’ve ever had. It was the perfect day!

We just spent an amazing day with Lemuel in Chichen Itza. Our tour included an early morning drive from Cancun area to Chichen Itza and then a visit to a Cenote. We had so much fun with Lemuel, he brought the ancient world to life. He helped to paint a picture of a civilization that lived with a faith and understanding of their Savior. Truly an amazing day bringing The Book of Mormon to life, and swimming in the Cenote is a must. Can’t imagine seeing these ruins without Lemual by our side.

Delightful and insightful tour from playa del Carmen to Chichen itzá and Ek Balam. Lemuel salts the tour in the van with interpretation of ancient symbols and history that is fascinating. Not pushy about meaning but suggests possibilities. Third tour with this group and loved it.

My husband and I first took a tour with Lemuel 10 years ago during our honeymoon. At that time, we visited Chichen Itza, Ek Balam, and a ceynote. We recently returned to Cancun for our 10 year wedding anniversary, and one of the main things we looked forward to on our trip was to take another tour with Lemuel. This time we visited the ruins of Tulum and Coba, swam in a ceynote, and even fed bananas to monkeys! Each tour is a private tour in an air conditioned vehicle, which makes the tour very comfortable and personal. During the tour we were given cold water and fed a delicious lunch. A tour with Lemuel is the absolute best way to visit the Mayan temples and cenotes and see things from an LDS viewpoint! Lemuel is incredibly knowledgeable and will share historical facts along with scriptures, video and photos. We not only learned the history, but also strengthened our testimonies of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon, including that Christ visited the people in the ancient Americas. You should take a tour with Cancun LDS Tours, it will be the highlight of your vacation!

Took this tour with our family and enjoyed it very much! Vanessa and her husband were very friendly and patient with our large group. Vanessa did a great job with the tour & helped us see how scriptures and Mayan history work together. Everything we learned was fascinating! This was one of the greatest tours my husband and I ever taken. Lemuel was so informative and kept us entertained as we drove back and forth. I would highly recommend him and if we are ever in Cancun area again, we will for sure go through him.

This tour with Lemuel as our guide was outstanding and truly was the highlight of our trip. If I could give more stars and an even higher rating I would. His knowledge of the ruins, people, traditions was outstanding and his helping us reference it all with LDS beliefs and scriptures and the Bible made it all the more relatable. The 2+ hour ride to Chichen Itzá flew by as we learned, referenced and saw many pictures that went along with what we were going to see. Lemuel was also attentive to making it all pleasant for us physically even in the 90 degree heat. Lunch and the Cenote were also great. You won’t be disappointed and will want to do future tours with Lemuel again. Our 1st one with Lemuel was last August to Coba. All 8 people that went said the tour was the best and the highlight!

LDS tours was fantastic! Lemuel was our guide, he was so knowledgeable and gave us a wonderful tour at Chitzen Itzá. He showed up many places we would never have seen without him as a guide. He explained many symbols and pointed out coincidences, letting us draw our own conclusions. He also brought umbrellas for shade which was fantastic! The Cenote was a perfect finish to the tour. I would recommend the tour everyone while they stay in Cancun!

Lemuel was a wonderful tour guide. My husband and I saw the Book of Mormon come alive, through stories, scriptures and ruins. We will definetly use this company again for another tour. We had time to enjoy the Ruins, do a little shopping and enjoy some time in a Cenote.

This is our second trip with LDS Tours Cancun. While booking privately with tour is quite pricey, we felt it worth it because of the great knowledge and insight of Lemuel and his daughter Vanessa. They picked us up from our resort and arranged all the details. We spent two days as a family (me, my wife and kids and my mother). They did a good job including our kids and trying to keep them engaged in all the ruins (which is hard with 16, 13,10 and 7 year old). We spent day 1 visiting Tulum and the Akumal Dolphin Discovery along with a tasty lunch. Day 2 we hit up Coba, Chichen Itza and the Ik Kil cenote. I appreciated their knowledge of the area and the scriptures.

The tour was amazing!!! Lemuel, our guide was so friendly, easy to talk with and knew so much about the site and how our personal beliefs tied into the history of the area and all of America actually. The trip from Cancun to chichen Itza was long but he kept things very entertaining and used the time to educate in the way there. The van was comfortable, the environment safe. 💯 would Recommend this tour to our LDS friends. I’m excited to go home and share everything we learned. It was amazing

The tour guides, Vanessa and Yovany, for our tour from Akumal to the Chichen Itza Ruins were fabulous! They had great information, were very knowledgeable, and conveyed the information very thoroughly. They were a delight to be with! They were so helpful and caring, especially since our group were all senior citizens! The tour of Chichen Itza was so informative and Vanessa had so many great facts and details! We had a fun travel break on the way down, great lunch on the way back, and fun at a great, non-crowded, Cenote on the way back to the Condo.

This was by far the best tour and tour guide my wife and I have ever experienced! Lemuel was absolutely amazing! By the end of the tour it felt like he was your best friend. He is an amazing man and he taught using the scriptures and you could feel the spirit as he spoke with conviction. He took us to Chichén Itzá and Ek Balam as well as a cenote to cool off at the end of the day. These Mayan temples were amazing and he showed how they had many of the same similarities and rituals to that of Solomon’s temple and the tabernacle of old. He told us of the Mayan history of the white bearded mystery man named Kukulcán that visited these people and promised to return. I would highly recommend this tour. It will be an experience you will never forget!

This was the highlight of our family’s trip to Mexico and a day we will remember for the rest of our lives. Lemuel picked us up at our condo and used the driving time to teach us and prepare us for all the things we were going to see that day. First stop was Chichen Itza which was made so much richer by the connections Lemuel drew to the Book of Mormon. He knew just how to navigate our group of 10 efficiently through the crowds, pointing out all the best areas of interest and keeping all ages engaged. Next we stopped at a wonderful local Mayan/Mexican restaurant. It was clean and delicious and also had traditional Mexican and Mayan dancers. It was a nice place to rest and refuel. After lunch Lemuel drove us to Ek Balam where we climbed the 106 steps to the top to enjoy the incredible view and also saw the many beautifully preserved carvings in the ruins. Here again he pointed out many special figures and symbols in the carvings and discussed with us their possible meanings. Last stop of the day was to an amazing cenote where we were able to swim in the cool refreshing waters deep underground. It was unforgettable and the kids loved it! Lemuel drove us back to our condo and he passed the time with many more stories and experiences that were so personal and special. I am so grateful we were recommended this tour with Lemuel by our very good friend. We wish we could take Lemuel back home with us, he is so wonderful! We could not recommend this tour highly enough. Thank you brother! We hope we will see you again someday!
