Chichén Itzá Deluxe Tour

Long ride and a long day but totally worth it! Our guide, our drivers, and the staff at each stop were great! We did the early tour which started with lunch once we got to the area, then the Chichén Itzá ruins and a gorgeous cenote. Our tour guide at the ruins even helped us get a family photo together! I recommend this tour to anyone looking to learn more about Mayan culture.

This tour was NOT what I purchased! The tour operator completely changed the stops/which ceynote they were going to AFTER I purchased this tour! I purchased a tour called "Chichén Itzá de Lux Tour No extra charges". Since the purchase, the tour operator changed the name AND the stops/destinations. Do not rely on this tour operator to actually go where they say the tour will go. I chose this tour option specifically for the fact that it was SUPPOSED to only be two stops: Chichen Itza and a ceynote that is not Saamal/Selva Maya, since I had already been to that ceynote. I also did not want to go to Valladolid again, as I find it is something you only need to see once. This tour was a huge waste of time with extra driving around. Usually tours that go to Saamal ceynote have a buffet lunch there at the ceynote. In this case, the tour operator drove all the way to Chichen itza area, then went even further out of the way to go to a mayan place to shop/eat. This was a big waste of time, we could have just eaten at the ceynote. They made us shop for nearly an hour before getting to eat, wasting more time. It was so many hours of wasted time driving around and being forced to shop. They also included the time it took to park the bus in our 2 hours of Chichen Itza time, so we did not have a full 2 hours at Chichen. All I wanted to do on this tour was go to Chichen Itza, and a ceynote that I had never been to before & hopefully return in a reasonable amount of time. Instead, it was about 12 hours including driving around going to places that I had already been to. I will never purchase a tour from AXG travel again, and suggest that you do not as well.

the driver and the assistant, Ocar, were great. But the tour guide was not so professional while doing the transition. Too many shopping tours, and very bed itinerary arrangement. We left at 7 am and spent the whole morning on shopping tours. In the end, we were back to our hotel at 9:30 pm. that's really late even not many restaurants for us for dinner.

Pick up was late, and our driver never even asked to see confirmation of our tickets. He ended up taking a young couple on a long,crowded ride, for nothing. There were probably 12 people crowded into an 8 passenger van and the driver made several maneuvers through traffic that I was sure would end us in an accident. The young couple who had inadvertently gotten on the wrong trip was packed off in a taxi and sent away by themselves in a country that they didn't even know the language. We had been told it was a 2 hour bus ride to the location which actually took closer to 4,and a 12 hr tour lasted 16 hours. We left our resort shortly after 7am and didn't get dropped off until after 11pm that night. Not something I would do again.

I was extremely pleased; our bus host, drive, and bus assistants did an amazing exceptional joy. I was most impressed with host language skill. Additionally I give praise to our K guide; his knowledge of this one of the seven wonders of the world was most impressive. Great time!!

Awesome places , attention and service, Chichén Itza is a magical place and both cenote Suytun and Ik Kil are surreal.

Everything was so much fun!! The tour to Chichen itza was so beautiful to see!! It is about a 2 1/2 hour drive but totally worth it. Defintely recommend going to explore of the seven wonders of the world if you find yourself there. Be sure to take sun screen& mosquito spray, you’ll need it!! We booked our travel and stay though AXG and our travel agent was named Gerardo, he is amazing!! He responded so quickly to all of our questions and always reached out to make sure everything was going good and is very thorough with everything.

Seeing the ruins and hearing about the mayan culture was very interesting. The rain interferred with the pleasure of enjoying the full experience.

Do not trust Gerardo Gustavo Ibarra Larralde He stole $23,500 from me; everything has been a nightmare. With this character, all of us people scammed by this man should unite and sue; why is he walking around like nothing happened when he has already robbed too many people?

I made payments for approximately $85,000 pesos for a trip that was scheduled from August 30 to September 3. The trip did not take place and the hotel reservations were not finalized. The agent who appears on my quote is Gerardo Gustavo Ibarra Larralde. Currently, he no longer responds to my messages. I have the quote, payment receipts, and conversations that support what I am sharing. This is my personal experience and I do NOT recommend their services. I am sharing this information so that you are very careful and verify everything before making any payment

Within what fits, Great Service! My boyfriend and I bought the Lux package, it was $1,960 for both, it includes drinks during the tour, which is worth it, since it is all day. They picked us up very punctually, along the way they gave us information about the history of Chichen Itza, offered us a sandwich and water. Then they took us with a Shaman, right there is a place where you can buy crafts which are very expensive, because they say they are authentic, however within Chichen Itza you find the same 5 times cheaper, but it is already your decision where to buy, they argue that people from Chichen Itza bring everything from China and that at the airport they take it from you if you do not prove a purchase receipt, I bought a pair of bracelets and necklaces in Chichen and I had no problems at the airport. There we had breakfast and the food was delicious, I recommend the piglet and piglet, plus the waiters do a typical dance of the state, which is also father. Arriving in Chichen everything excellent, plus you have enough free time. In Cenote and Valladolid you leave little time to my point of view, however, it is father and nice to meet.

Excellent treatment and quality on the trip, the guide Rex did an excellent job telling us the story of the Maya and at all times was professional and attentive. The only thing I don't like is that instead of going to the cenote Saamal took us to the Xcajum without even warning us of the change.
