Great tour. Sadly, we weren’t able to visit Valladolid bcz according to the tour guide the entry to the city wasn’t allowed during the New Year’s Eve. The Tour guide, Ivan, was very nice and welcoming however, he barely spoke English during his explanations. You’d understand the gist of everything but I would’ve just preferred to hear all the things he said about the Mayan history in English too. Cenote at the end was awesome, had lots of fun! All in all a good experience and I’d recommend it, although a bit expensive.

The tour said ENGLISH guides, but neither spoke English fluently and this meant we (the English speakers) got less than half the information and never knew where to meet or what was happening next. Very frustrating. The one lady guide was very friendly and tried her best to speak English to us and interpret what the other guide and locals were saying, but it fell short. Spanish talking for 30 minutes then we get 2 minutes of English. The trip made multiple stops for "opportunities" to spend more money on souvenirs. I would have preferred more historical time and less selling us to the local vendors. The tour was low cost and very good for what I wanted to see, Chichen Itza. Overall it was a very good experience, but more English would have helped. I would recommend it for Spanish speakers.
Wonderful Tour except the guide spoke more Spanish then English..some English was spoken by the 2nd guide..The highlight was the myan ruins..Tour guide that spoke English was very thorough and knowledgeable.. I would definitely book this Tour again maybe more in English lol.
Experience was a disaster, ruined our vacation. We didn't get pick up from the hotel as the package described. A message via the viator web page didn’t responded. Most importantly, they threaten us to pay another 60 or they will leave us in the middle of no where. We refused, they even not giving us the ticket to chichen-itza. We feel life is in danger during the trip. Experience was a disaster, ruined our vacation. We didn't get pick up from the hotel as the package described. I did it with my teenager daughters and 4 of her friends from USA and they had an amazing time . The guide was very knowledgeable. It is a full day tour however very well organized. They stayed on schedule . The food was amazing. I will totally recommend this tour .
We had a good time but everything felt rushed and scammy. There wasn’t enough time to shop. But if you are after obsidian, buy it at the first place they stop for snacks. I had wanted to buy some obsidian there for $10 usd but Caesar, our guide said I should wait til we got to the ruins and it would be cheaper there. At the ruins, they tried to charge me $90 usd for the same rock! I had already missed my $10usd (u.s. dollars) rock, so ended up negotiating them down to $30 usd. I was bummed and felt misled by Caesar and his sellers that he had directed us to as being fair. They were anything but and really aggressive. The last stop to Valladolid was only about 15 minutes to shop after the Tequila taste testing. The trip has you believing it’s going to be a good deal for $44 but then you have to pay $30 cash for entrance to the event and then another $3 to rent an umbrella and then another few dollars for locker rentals and drinks are extra for the meal. It all adds up. I was more impressed with the 3 in 1 trip that had everything included in the price up front and included umbrellas. I also didn’t have to be worried about being left behind with that group. Nobody was left behind but because of the dishonesty with everything else it made me feel like it was a possibility, which he had warned could happen. They also try to get you to buy a Mayan calendar that they claim will give you detailed information about you and that is hand painted. Don’t do it. The detailed info isn’t translated well and it’s two sentences long. I was not impressed.
On the pricey side, but worth it! I had a pleasant day! I am all for budget traveling, but if I did it on my own, I don’t think I would’ve seen so much in one day. I also met some very nice people on my trip. I really have nothing bad to say- only the price I guess- but you get what you pay for (and this would’ve cost way more in the US)! It can get annoying when Mayans haggle you when you show a little interest in a souvenir, but if you let then know they’ll back off. They’re just trying to give security to their families. I wish I brought swimming shorts for when we visited that water whole. It was nice
My sister and I had SUCH an amazing time on this trip. It was an early morning but the tour did a great job of breaking up each excursion with an air conditioned bus ride to refresh. The cenote was charming, the ruins were incredible, and the old city gave us a taste of the culture. The whole day was an adventure to remember that I would absolutely recommend to friends and family. HUGE shout out to our tour guide Ruth, who was extremely personable, knowledgeable, and helpful in leading us throughout the day. We were very lucky to have her as our guide :) ¡Muchas gracias Ruth y Xcaret y hasta luego!
This was a great experience, we really enjoyed the day visiting Tulum, Coba, the Cenote and Playa, all the team were fabulous and they were very helpful, the food was delicious and the cenote was an unforgettable experience, 100% recommended, the staff worked very hard to follow all the hygiene protocols to take care of us. Thanks for everything! Andrea S.
The tour guides were amazing! We didn’t go to the cenote suytan and not sure why. This was the main reason for signing up and to have skipped that really ruined my experience. Once again our tour guide Gonzalo and crew were amazing.
It was a very well day spent. High recommended for couples or groups. From the pick and to your tour guide very informative. he speaks spanish and english. Grupo ni Celso is our tour guide is good .
Despite TripAdvisor taking my booking and money immediately, and presenting me with a status of Confirmed, the actual tour operator had no idea I booked the tour and had not confirmed anything. 10:20 pm, the day after the tour was supposed to happen, not even on the day of the tour, I get an email from them stating “Good evening, your tour wasn’t confirmed for the time you make the reservation and we would like to reschedule for tomorrow, please inform us if you are able to take the tour tomorrow.” By that time we were ready to fly out of Cancun. TripAdvisor really shouldn’t give a status of Confirmed to bookings that haven’t been confirmed by the tour operator. This is the last time I will book anything through TripAdvisor as we were only for 3 days in Cancun and the no show wasted the whole day for us.
We went to Suytun Cenote which was amazing. Had buffet lunch there which was not that good. On the way to Chichen Itza, we stopped by the town of Valladolid. The group was then divided into English & Spanish groups. It was very hot there so make sure you wear comfortable clothes and bring water. Yes, you can take your shirt off if you want. Tour guides were great. Pick-up & drop-off from hotel went smoothly.
We enjoyed this tour. It is a long day but the cenote is amazing and Chichen Itza is spectacular. I would have loved to give a 5 star review however our host, Tomas, was mediocre at best as a host. He gave a fine overview of the sites however as we were leaving he spent 10 minutes on the microphone begging for tips from the guests. Then as we disembarked the bus he hounded us again for a tip. It seemed very rude to bug guests for tips. I was going to tip anyways but felt so pressured to it left a bad taste.
Alors ATTENTION !! Arnaque !!
Everyone is going to want to sell you a tour. The ideal, if you haven't taken it before, is to go to the door and hire on the spot. Wear light clothing and use fresh liquid to hydrate yourself. A guide is essential to know the history. It was fantastic. There you can eat without problem, the values are reasonable.
In summary, it was a 12-hour coffee drive. Departure in a coach set too cold. First in a small Mayan village with lunch, of course not without being bothered extensively to buy some. Chichen Iza was very nice. Our leader Jesus has explained and shown much. But that was two hours of the trip. Afterwards a Mayan brandy offered for sale on the bus. The cenote was completely overcrowded. Timewise, it would only have been possible to stand in line, hop in and move again. Around it, of course, massive sales stands. Then, in the dark, 30 minutes in Valladolid. What do you do in the dark in 30 minutes? Nothing, of course. All in all, only Chichen Itza is worth it, but a 12-hour tour is excessive.
The tour guide was generally entertaining and could explain the things concerning Chichen itza and the maya well. However, the morning trip resembled a sales event. We were in a Mayan village and it was explained a lot about life and the products and customs but all tied to a sale by a would-be shaman. Chichen itza was well run. The disappointment came when we went to some Cenote and NOT the Suytun Cenote. We had decided especially for this offer because this chichen itza and suytun cenote had united and did not want to go to any cenote. Too bad we had been very happy to visit the suytun cenote.
If you’re interested in history, this is a wonderful day ahead. We caught our eyes with the story of the Mayans told by our team including the guide “Jorge”, very interested himself and passionate and our driver “Nestor”. This day is worth a visit, one of the 7th wonders of the world!
Departure with Easy tour from 07:00 in the morning to 19:30. First stop in a little cenote. A Mayan asks 150 pesos (7.5 euros) for the photo. First stop unnecessary. Vallaloid for second stop and visit the city very friendly. Cenote and bathing in third point. Yeah, sure. Finally after a very average meal (buffet and drinks not included) the exceptional visit of Chichrn Itza. Wonderful. No water on the minibuses, no water. Worth it for the Maya website and the This rating.
The explanations of the guide were precise and clear, his language was very adequate and all the explanations very didactic, it was noticed that he loves his people, since he is a native mestizo (Cat). Rafael the very attentive and helpful driver, we traveled inside the bus with the ideal temperature. We did not have any inconvenience on and off the bus, we felt very safe and accompanied. It is good to go something studied to ask questions and admire better the landscape and small details, all very impressive. El Cenote was great and ideal to cool off after two hours in Chichen. Buffet food with many varieties for all tastes and show during lunch.
aircraft rent a car from Cancun difficult to describe everything but go there the 3 sights to see and discover absolutely the pyramids the very pleasant city of Valladolid and the cenote near Chichen itza one of the most beautiful
