Pack good shoes! This is an all day trip and well worth the price! I had a great time going to both sites. Thank you!
Excellent day our guide Rodriguez was excellent so informative and friendly, our driver Jesus was fantastic, thank you for such a wonderful trip
Very long day to squeeze in all the activities but all totally worth it. Admissions & taxes were all covered in our initial payment so no hidden extras to surprise us. The day as a whole was a fantastic experience and one I would advise to anyone who wants a mix of adventure and sightseeing. The small group meant for a personal & enjoyable experience with Juam & Jose as our guide & driver. Juam was very knowledgeable on our visit to both Viba & Chichen Itza and made sure we knew where to be at any given time. We would definitely recommend this trip. Thank you.
It’s a lot for one day but for me it was worth the early start , our guide Tomas was fantastic at explaining the Mayan culture. Coba for me was amazing , being able to climb the temple. Take a bike to get round they aren’t expensive and add to the experience. My kids are 14 and 12 and although the day wiped them out they really enjoyed it. Food was excellent. Swimming in the Cenote is a must . And Chichen Itza speaks for itself. Amazing day that will stay with me forever.
All inclusive - Coba, Cenote, Chichen Itza and Valladolid tour. Thank you to Manuel, our guide, and Jesus, our driver, yesterday 4 August 2026. Manuel’s knowledge and pride in his heritage shone through. Jesus completed the 500km round trip like the true professional he is. The day started early but you reap the rewards, we arrived at Coba before the crowds and queues. Make sure you hire the bikes or rickshaw, worth every penny, our children were still half sleeping but the second they hit the bikes they came alive. Cenote, again arrived early and it was quiet and we practically had the lagoon to ourselves. Free foot spa from the fish and jumping off the jetty a must. Lunch here was a buffet and good, children went for second helping. There’s a free drink included, we chose lemon, all good. The afternoon was at Chichen Itza, it was busy but Manuel guided us expertly around the site and his knowledge provided the added extras (no spoilers) which highlighted the magnificence of the structure and why it’s a must on any visit here. Then onto Valladolid, listen to Manuel take the advice, we got photos of the church, coffee and then a quick look inside the church and a walk round the plaza in the short time there. Everyone power napped on the bus at various different times but this trip covered everything. We had considered separating out the sites into 2 day trips but doing it in one day made more sense and more cost effective. Make no mistake it’s a long day but well worth it. There are a lot of market stalls at Chicken Itza and at various points Manuel explains exactly what is happening and you can choose to be involved or not, your choice, no pressure, all part of the trip. Once again, thank you to Manuel and Jesus
We are on honeymoon and choose an all round trip. Even though it was an early start and lasted over 12 hours it was worth it. The tour guide Paul was extremely knowledgeable and paid attention to detail. Our driver Jesus was polite and helpful. There was so much to see and take pictures of. Our highlights were being riden around on a taxi tricycle. Also climbing the temple, swimming in the waterfall and the tequila tasting! Lunch was amazing too. Great value for money. Highly recommend to do this trip. Mr and Mrs Francis
The trip was superb from start to finish. It was a long day but worth it to see so many places and have such great experiences. Jesus was our driver and the trip was smooth and comfortable. Paul was our tour guide and he was incredibly knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. Although the excursion information says bikes are optional at Coba, we were encouraged to use them because of time which is an additional charge but worth it.
My girls and myself had an amazing adventure.. our guid Beto was very informative, full of very interesting information with an excellent sense of humour and he took care of us very well. Never felt rushed. Everything was explained clearly. We felt safe in our group as Beto was clear with meeting points and pick up times when we where giving time to take photos after the tour. Very enjoyable experience. Looking forward to book further experiences.
Carlos and Ricardo are solid, dependable, professional guides. Carlos is an excellent driver and former biochemist. Ricardo the guide is well educated in Maya lore and history. He loves his job and is passionate about authenticity. The tour is long, he can customize your experience if you want to go deeper into history or be left on your own, or a mix of both. I've been to 35+ countries and tours, and this was hands down the best. I feel so lucky.
Juan 139 gave us a great day. Friendly and knowledgeable throughout with a clear passion for Mayan culture. It was a long tour and hot day but he and our driver did everything they could to keep us comfortable. Great day in a beautiful place
Victor and Jorge was a dream team. Very good. And the trip was long, but it had exciting content!
Great all round experience! Rodrigo was an amazing Mayan tour guide with a huge knowledge of the area, in particular Cichen Itza where he grew up! It was a long hot day with pick up at 7am. The only downside for us was that pickup was in the main federal road which meant we had to walk 10 minutes from our hotel and wait by the side of the road. Coba was a real gem of a place. We had the opportunity to climb a Mayan temple - great idea into you’re halfway up and have no strength left! The surrounding area is filled with ruins. Hire the tricycle with a guide for 180 mxn pesos. Great fun and the guide has great knowledge of the site. The lunch at the cenote was good with a choice of hot food. The highlight was the cenote swim - a real pinch-me moment! Chichen Itza was like a film set - everything was perfect. Hard to believe it’s thousands of years old and made by hand! Highly recommend this tour!
Lets start with our tour guide Tomas he was brilliant, couldn't ask for any better! The day wasnt in the order as described on the Operators website or what was sent through by Amigo Tours. We didn't get to Chichen Itza until 1.30, right at the peak of the heat, after being picked up at 5.35am! This was described as the 2nd stop of the day after Coba. Instead after Coba, we were taken to Chichikan which felt like a hard sell in the shop and a too long stop at the Cenote. We were then taken for a stop for Ice Cream straight after lunch at the Cenote? We loved Chichen Itza but for a 14 hour long day, this was only 2 hours worth in peak heat and was the final stop in very humid weather, followed by a 4 hour drive back to our hotel. Wish this had been in the order as sold. A very long, hot tiring day for 2 hours of what we wanted to actually see early in the day!
It was a very interesting trip, a lot of amazing Mayan ruins and history and amazing swim in a canote. I think the stop in valladolid was a bit unnecessary because it was such a short stop and with the Chichén Itzá as the last stop it just added to the feeling of being overheated. Chichén Itzá wa amazing, and the guide Beto was really good at explaining the history of the place.
Juan and Jesus from amigo tours were fantastic as tour guide. Rather than provide just a simplistic and regurgitated knowledge Juan took an interest in providing a background of Mayan culture, archeology and history. He is clearly both very knowledgeable and passionate. The tour included visit of coba, Valladolid Cenote and Chichén Itzá. Chichén Itzá is breathtaking and no doubt deserves a place as one of the wonders of our world. On practical side do note that this is a full day excursion and for us staying in Playa del Carmen was nearly 16hours - 5am start and 9pm finish (not that we would complain). But often families with very children may want to know this beforehand.
The pickup in the morning was a bit brutal and long, but our guide was fantastic. Wish we had more time at Coba. Loved the cenote and buffet was great. Chichen Itza was amazing. It was a long day, but worth it. We greatly appreciate them dividing us up into 2 groups for drop off so it didn’t take as long. Juan R. was kind and funny and very knowledgeable. One of our kids was sick the whole time and he was very kind and accommodating.
We arrived at Coba nice and early so beat the crowds and the Cenote but by the time we fot ro Chichen Itza it was 1300 so in the full sun which made it difficult to fully appreciate the large site. I would suggest stopping the cenote and chichen itza order but then maybe the cenote would be overcrowded. Its a very long day so by the time get to Valladolid we were tired. So in hind sight we should've done a half day tour and skipped that bit . If you have the stamina its an excellent day. Our tour guide Juam was very knowledgeable and entertaining. The bus was lovely cool and comfy. The sites were stunning and worth the effort
We did the tour among Chichen Itza with Ramiro, a fully dedicated and smart guide. The pick up and departure was also great. A special thanks to Ramiro!
Very good guide - friendly and knowledgeable (Paul). Driver was excellent (can’t remember his name sorry - Rasiel?). Good variety of stops. Beautiful locations. Take sturdy footwear. Cenotes was stunning. Long day though. Could have done with dropping the last stop. Would highly recommend.
Guide tomas and driver racael were great. Tomas explained to us about the mayan culture and what to look out for when we were in the various locations. Early morning start (05:40am) and taken to coba to climb the temple there before all the crowds and sun set in. Quite a steep climb with large steps but the view is worth it at the top. We then made our way to ChiChi Kan cenote which has a waterfall going into it. Small group size about 8 people so we had the place to ourselves. Before that we had a blessing from a mayan sharman before being lead to the gift shop but they aren't pushy to make you buy something. Then there was an optional tequila testing. After the swim was a food buffet with lots of different options, plenty of veggie options and tasted quite nice. Then to chichen itza where tomas told us about renting umbrellas for the sun instead of buying one and showed us to the main attraction, performing the clapping noise and showed us the other buildings nearby explaining the history and significance of the place. There are alot of vendors trying to sell their goods but you can just walk by but if you do want to buy something always haggle or walk away if its still too much, another stall will have the same items. After about 2hours there we went to Valladolid where we only had about 30 mins to explore the church, park square and grab and ice cream. It was then time to depart and got back about 7pm. Quite a long day with plenty to see and do but tomas makes it very Interesting and fun
Great tour guide Manuel from Amigo Tours and the driver Erik was very good too. The tour was well organised and worth while.
Great tour! Guide was wonderful. Our bus broke down mid tour, guide quickly solved the issue and kept things flowing.
Really amazing tour, especially if you have limited time and want to see as much as possible in a day. Juan (139) was a fantastic guide, so knowledgeable and passionate. Our driver Eric was also awesome. It is a long day, but it's very worth it. We arrived at Coba and the cenote early and basically had the places to ourselves to start which was wonderful. Highly recommend!
* Our guide, Juam was excellent knowledgeable, passionate and enthusiastic about the history of the places we visited. * Everything had been planned extremely well and Juam was very punctual. * My wife and I felt so safe and comfortable. * Juam created such a friendly and fun atmosphere with humour. * We should also want to say thank you to the driver Emanuel. * Thanks to our guide Juam my wife and I enjoyed the tour very much.
This trip was amazing, from going to Coba early morning before the crowds to Chichikan for the cenote and lunch. It was then on to Chichén Itzá where Juan 139 was fantastic! He was very friendly, funny and informative and even though I have visited before , he told me things I didn’t know. Last stop in Valladolid a lovely little market town. Thank you Santos and Juan for making my birthday very special!
Amazing tour with the guide JUAN adn the driver LUIS (From the white Bus number 139). The guide is so passionated by Chichen Itza and shared with us so interesting information and great explanations. The bus was comfortable, the timing and the organization were just perfect! I recommend it highly and Thank you for this lifetime experience! ✨️🙏💕
Had a great time with Beto as our guide. Enjoyed the experience, comfortable transportation, clear communication, and funny too!
Victor, the tour guide, was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The bus was comfortable. We had a fantastic day.
Everything about this tour was fantastic. Our tour guides were amazing, we had Arturo and Marcela. They spoke in both Spanish and English the whole time and were super informed and told us a lot about the Mayan culture. Everything was great, Chichen Itza was amazing to see, as well as the Ball Game court and other pyramids. The other temples were in Coba and we even got to climb the pyramid for an excellent view. The tequila tastings were fantastic and we couldn’t have asked for better sopes in the lunch buffet. Definitely recommend Arturo and Marcela but I don’t know how to request specific guides. ¡Gracias!
This excursion is a very long day, so it’s important to go in with clear expectations. We met at 7:00 AM in Tulum and didn’t return until around 8:00 PM, making it a 13+ hour day. If you’re not staying in the area for very long or were hoping to have part of the day free afterward, keep this in mind. The day begins at Cobá, which is an expansive archaeological site that almost feels like a park, with plenty to see. Bikes are offered, but we didn’t feel they were necessary. We also didn’t have cash on hand, so even if we’d wanted to rent them, it wouldn’t have been possible. The next stop was Iglesia de San Servacio, which was a pleasant and unexpected surprise. It was nice to see something different from the ruins, and this ended up being a quick but enjoyable stop. After that, we visited Cenote Chichikan, which also serves as the lunch stop. The property itself is nice, but I’ve personally been to cenotes that were larger, prettier, and more impressive. Lunch costs $23 per person and, while it is all-you-can-eat, the food was underwhelming — I’ve had better Mexican food in the U.S. It’s also important to note that drinks are not included in the $23 lunch price, which was not clearly mentioned by the server and only came up after I specifically asked. The drinks themselves were good — I had the mango, and my boyfriend had the passion fruit — but this was yet another unexpected add-on. There is also a tequila tasting and gift shop here, with a heavy sales pitch claiming that the tequila and items are only sold at this location. That didn’t seem accurate — I saw many of the same products throughout Tulum for significantly cheaper. This stop, overall, felt like a tourist trap, and I would strongly recommend skipping purchases at the gift shop. The final stop is Chichén Itzá, which was easily the highlight of the entire day. Seeing the main pyramid in person was incredible and truly worthy of its status as a Wonder of the World. It’s an amazing experience to see something so ancient and well-preserved. That said, expect many vendors and tourist traps here as well. I do want to point out that our tour guide, Juam (with an “M”), was excellent, and the driver also did an amazing job. Juam was knowledgeable, professional, and engaging, and he did a great job keeping the group organized, informed, and on schedule during such a long day. He and the driver honestly made the experience far more enjoyable than it otherwise would have been — especially given the length of the tour and the amount of coordination involved. Overall, I felt nickel-and-dimed throughout the experience. The base ticket essentially covers transportation and entrance to the sites only. If you don’t pay for the add-ons, you don’t get lunch during a very long day, can’t swim in the cenote, and may feel rushed at certain locations like Cobá. Additional costs added up quickly: $150 for base tickets, $92 in tourist taxes, $16 for mandatory life jackets, $42 for lunch, and $100 in taxis to reach the meeting point. At the end of the day, tips are also requested. By the time everything was added up, it felt frustrating to realize we could have booked a private tour with hotel pickup and drop-off for a comparable price, without constantly being asked to pay more along the way. While there were definite highlights — especially Chichén Itzá — I would encourage travelers to carefully weigh the value and consider alternative tour options.

Frank, and Paul did great. We were on time, and Frank did a good job explaining about Chichen Itza and giving information.
My experience with Amigo Tours / Chichen Itza was amazing! The staff Frank, Juam and Francisco were very professional, resourceful, pleasant and extremely knowledgeable of historical facts! I would definitely recommend this tour to family and friends.
Frank, Juam and Francisco were great on this tour. They made the trip such a memorable experience. Would recommend to anyone wanting to visit the Chichen Itza.
Santos and Rodrigo did a great job on this tour! Santos kept us on schedule and safeguarded our stuff. Rodrigo was an excellent guide, especially at Chichen Itza. It shard so much knowledge about the pyramid and the Mayans! It was excellent.
Excellent trip - well organised, full of historical information . Loved finding out about the Mayan culture/history as well as seeing one of the seven wonders of the world. Manuel was entertaining and informative. Eric our driver was also great. Highlights were swimming in the cenote, having a Mayan blessing and seeing the Chichén Itza. Highly recommend.
Fantastic day, early pick up but so pleased we did the 4 different activities in 1 day as it broke the travelling up well but gave us enough time in each place. Started at Koba and took the tricycle around to see all the Mayan ruins for a much more relaxed experience as our hip joints are a little older now! Then visited Vallalotid colonial town where the main square was very pretty and plenty of little cafes to grab a drink. Then went to a cenote which I was a bit nervous about but it was beautiful. The buffet was ok with choices to satisfy most. Last the main event Chichen Itza where Ramiro our guide was excellent explaining the history behind the fascinating Mayan structures. Definitely remember Mossie spray, sun cream, swim gear, I would recommend some beach shoes for the walk down to the Cenote. A lovely day made better by a great driver and Ramiro our guide. Highly recommend.
Jonathon and Salvador were awesome, Jonathon gave us some great info and background on all the places in an entertaining way. Overall the trip was awesome and we did such a great range of things, great value and a must do! Although an early start it was well worth it because Coba and the cenote were very quiet which made for a great experience. The trip was a nice balance between free time and information with the right amount of time at each stop!
Manuel (Taquila) was am amazing host, guide, etc. Very knowledgeable, making the trip as fun as possible. Johnathan was a great driver, making the distances we traveled as comfortable as possible. Thanks for an amazing experience
Great day out cannot fault it at all! Really nice pace and lots of activities. The cenote and Chichen Itza were just incredible. Thanks Audi! Great tour guide and just a wonderful introduction to Mexico!!
Had a truly amazing time. Audi and his driver was brilliant! They really made the experience unforgettable. Would highly recommend!
The overall experience of this tour was amazing. We visited sites that we have made memories of a lifetime at. Our tour guide Omar was so knowledgeable and gave us insights and in depth history regarding the Coba and Chichen Itsa sites. Our driver Salvador was also amazing and gave us a safe and pleasant journey.
We arranged for a hotel pickup from Hotel Catalonia with Frank and Salvator. It was an excellent experience. Frank was a very good speaker with plenty of knowledge while Salavator was an excellent driver. This excursion was planned very well. The trip started off with a few pick ups going to Tulum. This wasn't great, but it was expected. The pickup and drop off was the longest part of the day. We then traveled an hour to Coba. This was great that it was planned first. There wasn't a crowd, and was almost an eye opening to what we would see for the day. Very neat experience. We then traveled to a town where we stopped for about 45 minutes. Frank gave a great story of the troubles that had occurred at the town. It was a good little stop. We then proceeded to visit a Cenote. Really cool experience. I definately recommend it. After the cenote we proceeded to the gem of the tour, Chichen Itza. Wow!!! We showed up at the end of the day and so there wasn't a lot of tourists. We captured some great photos. The only no so good part of the tour, was the vendors, which isn't Amigo tours fault. Frank was very willing to talk. My suggestion is that you do a little research on the internet before going and ask Frank for his interpretation. He has a very interesting viewpoint being Mayan himself. I'd definitely go again. It was a fantastic experience. Thank you Frank and Salvator!!!
We had a fantastic experience with Amigo Tours on our full-day trip to Chichen Itza, the Cenote, and Coba. The tour was well-organized, informative, and very enjoyable. A big thank you to Manuel, our guide, for his knowledge, friendliness, and passion — he made each stop meaningful with great historical and cultural insights. And to Humberto, our driver, for his professionalism and safe, smooth driving throughout the day. Swimming in the cenote was a highlight, and exploring Coba by bike was a unique and fun way to connect with the site. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a well-guided and comfortable tour of these incredible places. Thank you, Manuel and Humberto, for an unforgettable day!
A really great day out with Juam and Santiago, they were knowledgable and helpful guides for the whole day. It was particularly nice to be collected early to beat the crowds at Cobá and at the cenote. One area for improvement is that we found the cenote a little commercial, with lots of selling activity (shop, tequila tasting, photographs etc), we would have preferred more time in the cenote itself.
This experience was incredible and Audi is an excellent guide and host. It’s a full on day and incredibly well organised, you do so much in a day. It is a long day but you visit Coba and we recommend hiring the pushbikes to see the whole area in the hour. Chichen Itza is excellent and Audi’s tour and guide was very knowledgable and interesting. The Cenote jump and the Mayan community were excellent too. Do remembered to bring Mexican Pesos (120 per person) for the Coba entry, but Audi was very helpful when we realised we only had USD. 5 out of 5 and we couldn’t recommend it more
Really great experience, got to see loads in one day. Would recommend, you see both Cobá and Chichén Itzá with plenty of time to see everything at the sites.
What a day! Early start, but worth it, as you reach Coba in the early sun rays - there were barely any people there. Rent a bicycle, it helps to see everything before you have to get back. Then to the cenote - a blessing by a Mayan shaman first (impressive), some shopping, and then to the water - wow. Our first cenote and we were in awe! A lovely lunch and a (slightly plugged/touristic) tequila tasting, and then to the big one: Chichén Itzá. A world wonder indeed, so impressive. Lastly: Valladolid. A gorgeous town with the 2nd oldest church on the continent. Regrettably only 30 mins here, would’ve loved more time! Our tour guide Juam (not Juan) was amazing, funny, informative, and prompt. Driver Salvador was our Vin Diesel! We came back exhausted but happy and satisfied. Highly recommend it - be ready to sweat, and make sure to bring drinks and cash for some extra entry fees and necessary items like lifevests.
Tomas and norberto were amazing! The storical sites are quite interesting and well managed. We loved them, Very Reccomended!
