Willy “Wonka” and his crew were so much fun. The live saxophone- especially as the sun set- was amazing. The biggest surprise was that Isla Mujeres is a vibrant, fun community on the evenings. We had a great time. Highly recommend!

This excursion was terrible. It left late and was supposed to go to Isla Mujeres for shopping and then to Playa Norte for the sunset. The boat headed all the way to the south end of the island and then made a stop in the choppy ocean water way off shore for anyone who wanted to swim. As we were sitting there waiting to leave the sun was setting. By the time we got to town we had barely any time to shop and even some of the shops were closing. I did not like being there after dark. After that we headed back to the pick up location. Never made it to Playa Norte. On the boat there was a very loud saxophone player. You couldn't even talk to the person sitting next to you. Our snack was homemade sandwiches which we did not eat. Basically we had a boat ride. What a waste of time and money. Not as advertised at all.
Fun experience, but description was not clear on what to expect. Recommended if you enjoy a party cruise atmosphere. Isla Mujeres is a great little island and cannot wait to visit in more depth on our next visit.
Such a great trip, live saxophonist- great crew, we were lucky with an amazing sunset. Stop for swim was nice
Small group but we’ll organized The saxophone was awesome Sunset was beautiful even with clouds Thanks
Willy Wonka is a GREAT host. Roberto playing his instruments adds an element beyond description; what a treat. The sights and blue water are breathtaking, and the nighttime ambiance is serenity at its finest.
Beautiful trip! Amazing pictures! Staff was so nice and engaging! And the sax music was fun! It was a perfect short trip vs the all day trips!
Booking online was a breeze. We were picked up in the front of our hotel promptly. The crew handed everyone a drink as soon as we boarded. Music played, drinks flowed. Scenery was beautiful. We booked a golf cart and tooled around the island … walked the beach … then headed back to the boat for drinks, swimming and a gorgeous sunset.
Fun time, the crew was awesome and very friendly. Plenty of drinks and interaction with the group. The view from the boat was spectacular, although we had a storm the sunset was amazing.
The staff were amazing. The cruise to and from the island was beautiful. Definitely recommend 10/10.
The cruise offered stunning views of the Caribbean Sea, with vibrant turquoise waters and a picturesque sunset as a backdrop. Enjoying the smooth sail on a spacious catamaran added a sense of relaxation and adventure. The gentle sea breeze and the sound of waves enhanced the overall experience. We also explored Isla Mujeres, a charming island known for its laid-back atmosphere, quaint shops, and beautiful beaches. Live music, dancing, and a lively crew made the journey entertaining. The tour also included an open bar with a selection of cocktails and soft drinks, adding to the festive mood. These elements collectively made the Catamaran Sunset Cruise to Isla Mujeres a memorable experience for us.
We had a great time. Shuttle was provided in the hotel zone to the marina. Once onboard drinks were available and we set sail. The island was fun.
Excellent short getaway to Isla Mujeres with a ride from hotel zone, welcoming crew members, good music and an awesome sunset. I was little hesitant to go on this ride with an infant but ultimately it’s worth it. Highly recommend it
The sunset catamaran cruise is a wonderful experience with a vibrant and lively crew. The journey to Isla Mujeres offers stunning views, with an option to jump into the sea (with life jackets) at a later point. The island of Isla Mujeres is quite lively at night and I just wish we had more time to explore the downtown. Otherwise we had a great time thanks to the hospitality of the captain and his crew.
The staff were absolutely Amazing! I was quite unsteady and not surefooted on the catamaran at all, but I always had a hand available to me wherever I went! When we reached Isla Mujeres, Willy and the staff made sure to prepare us for....less honest merchants, and to give us directions on the best places to see. On the way back we stopped to swim in the ocean. I am a plus-sized woman and was really uncertain about getting off the catamaran to swim, not wanting the "fat girl experience" of trying to get back on. I didn't have to worry at all! They treated me Exactly the same as every other person getting back on. Willy was so much fun, so entertaining and engaging. We had a smaller group as there was a storm a couple of hours before, so he was able to give us a more personal experience. 10/10 would recommend again!
Great staff and boat ride! Would’ve preferred to have more time on the island rather than a long ride back. The onboard entertainment was good but had some over served patrons on the way back. The photographer that took photos never gave us an option to access/purchase them.
Best vibes and great crew with Roberto on the saxophone!!! We thoroughly enjoyed it Definitely recommend
Don’t book this excursion. We booked this and read the details and the first thing that we saw is that there would be an additional fee if the hotel was not in the hotel zone or within their pickup area. As we were booking we typed in our hotel and there it was so we were happy and thought that we were within their pickup area. Well to our surprise we were not and were charged an additional $30 per person at the port (but I will get to that later). In addition, after booking make sure you reconfirm. This means call the local number to see what time you will be picked up. When we called we were told we’d be picked up 2.5 hours before the cruise departed. More false advertising based on what’s in the description when you book. We were picked up on time and made it to the port early. When we got there I was told I’d have to pay an additional $90 from our booking. $60 for traveling and $15 each for the port fee. I asked the guy at the pay area what forms of payment he took he said cash only. I thought that’s odd. How many people would come with $90 cash for an unexpected fee like this. So I paid him anyway and waited to get on the catamaran. As I waited more people showed up from different busses and I watched them pay. I saw them pay with credit cards. I asked one of the patrons and they told me they were going on our same excursion. So I went back up and asked for my cash back and asked to pay with my credit card. The shady guy tried to charge me a 16% credit card fee when he hadn’t charged anyone else a fee. Nevertheless we boarded the ship. The ride started off immediately bumpy as the sea was a bit wavy and it was overcast. As I looked to the West I saw a huge storm rolling in and I thought to myself we probably shouldn’t be out in this. I was right. 5 minutes later the storm was on us. I don’t think I’ve ever been as nervous in a boat before. The crew thought it was hilarious and even decided to play the Titanic song. A few minutes later they were scrambling to keep the boat upright as wind caused things from the bar to fly everywhere and hit customers with debris. 10 minutes later after seeing my life flash before my eyes the captain says we are not clear for any water activity and we have to turn around. You don’t say! They refunded the dubious travel and port fee when we returned and the company refunded the excursion cost.
The cruise and crew were both awesome. But the transportation and communication was horrendous. I was never told beforehand what the transportation cost would be until I went to check in and then was shocked when they told me $60. They went to the wrong hotel to pick us up so they were 20 minutes late in pickup. Then it took 2 hours to get there and one and a half hours to get back. Then on top of that they jammed us in to a van and I was actually in pain because the van was so small and crowded that you couldn't even breathe. The transportation was an absolute horrendous experience. Unless you can get there on your own for the cruise I would not recommend taking their transportation.
We had such a great time, from the music, all the staff's energy, the instruments played, the views, and being able to spend time swimming at Isla Mujeres. It was the perfect end to our trip and a beautiful sunset. Make sure to have extra cash on you perhaps you want a digital copy of the pictures they take of you.
We were not informed of the additional transportation fee that is separate from the cost of the trip and the dock fee. This is the last time I book anything with Trip Advisor
The crew was so nice and friendly we all had a fun time. Super awesome experience would book again. Muy Bueno
This was a great end to our trip. The music was great, there was a man that olayed the saxaphone and the trombone and he was great. We got to swim, watched the sunset and had some free time to walk in downtown of Isla Mujeres. I would recommend this tour.
Worst tour ever! It’s a scam, please don’t book it. They are just providing transportation to Isla mujeras and charging so much. I have experienced other tours (12 hours)where they are not charging this much money and lunch is also included in it, whereas this tour only had trashy snacks.
The captain and crew made it fun. The ride was beautiful and so was the island. I absolutely recommend this trip!
Recommended! If you want an energetic activity, this is for you. The dancing and music was so mich fun. The sunset swim was awesome! Very nice crew. Thank you!
Everything was organized very well, Crew was very friendly and attentive. A small minus because alcohol was mixed with water, although we agree that drinks don't need to be strong on the boatride, pretending that it is something different is not okay. Nevertheless we had a great time and would do it again. Thank you!
The overall boat experience was pretty good. The musicians and crew on board the boat were excellent, and we had a good time on the island and swimming the in ocean. However, the company is quite dishonest when it comes to the fees. The description on the website states that there will be a $15 per person dock tax and a $15 per person transportation fee for a shuttle outside of their normal area of service. That's all fine and good, but they don't ever state what's outside of their normal service area, and they charged us double the transport fee once we already arrived at the dock. We showed them the discrepancy and they said they'd reach out after they reviewed the charges, but they never did as of this writing. So, worth it as long as you're aware that you'll be paying a lot more than you think for transportation.
Amazing vibes from the crew..caught an amazing sunset! There were people celebrating birthdays, wedding anniversaries and just general touring.
It was a very fun tour, it was beautiful to see the sunset in the middle of the sea. The water at Isla Mujeres beach is crystal clear, I totally recommend it!
The crew was AMAZING! It was really nice and I recommend it for sure. The weather was really hot but once you get in the cruise it cools down.
It was awesome! Cruise crew were amazing fun! We had a beautiful time! The music was the Best! The saxophone guy was lo maximooo! Bailamos all night long! Lol
Better than anticipated! Just enough time on the island, swimming in the sparkling waters and the trombone player who looks like a mix of Vin Diesel and Pit bull made it an awesome experience.
The most fun we have had in years. A must do experience while visiting Cancun. A party on the water that beats all othets!
Wonderful enthusiastic trip . Wanted to to spend more time on island . Great staff but limited on English.
Watching Sunset whilst swimming in warm see was just an unforgettable experience, and Isla las Mujeres was such a wonderful island, absolutely stunning. And the staff were super friendly and fun.
The boat crew were entertaining. We really enjoyed the live music and the sunset was perfect. Wish we had a little more time in the island but the free tequila shots at the first stop was nice.
I had the opportunity to do the excursion on a catamaran that crosses from Cancun to Isla Mujeres the sunsets are incredible the service of the crew is excellent entertaining and fun make a stop in the middle of the sea for those who want to swim the water is super crystal clear and the views are incredible, I want to personally thank Paloma Huerta the tour agent of Nexus Tours in charge, who with her extensive experience and knowledge in the area recommended me this tour that I loved the sunsets are incredible, just an unforgettable experience on my trip to Cancun.
Very nice, it cost me 40 USD plus 20 in taxes, with Outlet Tours MX which was the agency, with a buffet lunch, snorkeling and we bathed on the beach of Isla Mujeres, I loved the entertainment inside the catamaran too, unlimited drinks
Willy Wonka and his crew were great! We had so much fun! I recommend going when they are there, the experience is unforgettable!!
Good Sunset Experience and 1 hour catamaran view to Isla Mujeres, we loved the Mood animated by saxophonist Roberto, Good Attitude and Service of the guys who are in charge of the boat, beautiful sunset seen from Playa Norte in Isla Mujeres. Highly recommended.
