Absolutely dreadful we were told to use biodegradable sunscreen which cost us 400 pesos then when we were about to get on the boat were told we could not snorkel because we were over 60 nowhere in the trip description did it mention this because obviously would not of booked it we were the only 2 English speaking people so just got totally ignored the whole trip when we got to the buffet at supposedly prime beach club there was no food left really appalling trip would not recommend and Viator were not helpful with our complaint

The trip was very disappointing, the downtown beach water was very blue and turquoise but the beach clubs we were at had brownish-blueish & seaweed. The food was good & staff was okay. The boats drink was meh. Over all experience was 1/10. Id say this trip would've been way better if we stayed at the downtown area and had lunch there because you could've rented the golf cart from the down area and visited the whole island from 12-4 but we had to waste time to go from downtown to another beach club. Mostly we all come for the blue & turquoise water, if not then i dont know.
I'd give 4.5 stars if I could.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great experience for the cost. Pros * Great group of staff on the boat, the boat was perfectly fine and safe * Snorkeling was lots of fun, all equipment was perfectly fine , and they were very careful to keep the group together and be safe. * Visits to Isle Mujeres was great , lots of shops, beautiful beaches and things to do (scooters, golf cart rentals, etc.) * Drinks and food food, buffet style, all included * Almost everyone spoke some English, making everything easy for us ! * A photographer took lots of pics, still waiting to hear what he does with them or how we get copies ? Etc..assuming they charge so review on is pending. Cons * Ticket sales woman tried to rip us off at beginning and it seemed very intentional (said 20 usd x2 is 800 pesos but it's only like 720) * Everything in the shops is over priced * Didn't stay at first stop long enough to really enjoy it fully or shop much * Didn't get to go spinnaker sailing though the weather and wind seems fine for it. It wasn't even discussed I don't think. Overall amazing experience. I'm so glad I picked this crew and company for our excursion!! Thank you
To be honest, some of the reviews had me nervous, but we went for it anyhow. I know that some people are just complainers and some a little too high and mighty. Note: we did book the upgraded package with premium drinks and the smaller group size. Well worth it to have a little more room and not be so crowded. This excursion was amazing. The ride in from Playa Del Carmen to Cancun was a little long, but it is just the distance that has to be travelled. But oh… so worth it. Our weather was very rainy for the morning, but snorkeling in the rain was very cool. And it was warm enough that we didn’t really get cold being wet and rainy. The first stop on the island is just the normal tourist shopping crap, but the prices were better than in Cancun or Playa. We just walked down the strip and went for a swim. Best way to not mind the rain. The sail around to the southern area was pouring rain, but we had a good laugh during it and still got to see the gorgeous coastline. The weather cleared as soon as we got to the 2nd stop and got to enjoy food, drinks and the beach. Lots of time to relax. Then it was time to get on the option golf carts. ***Don’t make this optional… DO IT!!! Well worth the money for getting to see the island. The rough condition of the carts are half the adventure. The cart tour gives you a great chance to see the residential part of the island and some gorgeous views of the ocean in all directions. Plus, driving golf carts through town is just fun no matter how old you are. Then back for more beach time, drinks and fun. On the way back we were fortunate to get to raise the sails and just enjoy the ride. Lots of drinks, fun and laughs. And the ride home…. Well, we slept so it passed quickly… Overall, a purely fun and relaxing day. Just as intended.
My husband and I went on this excursion for our honeymoon. We were initially told it was another $20 each for “dock fees” and when we arrived, they charged us $40 a person so we paid another $80 in total which we were not very happy about. We got to snorkel for 15 mins but did not see anything (which we understand is out of your control) The hosts and workers on the boat were fantastic and fun. Very friendly. The catamaran ride itself was very fun. The beach at the second stop on the south end of the island was not at all what we were expecting from what we saw in pictures. The water was very dirty. The food was good but the drinks on the island were not. I asked for a margarita and was given tequila and lemonade.
As soon as I got there they of course try to up sell you to another package. There was no where to park this lady jumped in the car with my husband saying she would tell him where to park and once they got to the location she charged him and stuck the money in her pocket. The excursion was very rushed too many kids the package they sold me they said would have pina colada’s and other liquor they did not have pina coladas. Total charge was about $200 I was not impressed.
What a great experience. Carlos, Moschito and the captain were on top of their game. We had such a great time on the boat, especially on the way back. Great atmosphere 💪🏻💪🏻
This was a Absolutely Amazing Experience. The Staff was very professional but yet so attentive. I had so much fun. They even let me Karaoke my favorite song. It was really worth every moment on my Vacation.
The whole experience was great. We had a tequila tasting, and it was a nice opportunity trying 25yo tequila. Many thanks to the crew.
This was a rusty, falling apart boat that had life vest that were also falling apart. There was horrible, blue Astroturf everywhere, and the beer and drinks were gross, I was brought to a horrible buffet with subpar food. And then on to a golf cart tour that had golf carts that were falling apart, resting and screws out that scratched my legs on top of this they rudely asked for tips multiple times and said it was for their family and then over the speaker announced that they were thanking everybody who gave them tips as it was for their family, and then sent the guy who had the tip box to stand Where we were putting our shoes on on the dock to make us feel guilty I guess
I enjoyed the crew and the tour. However I didn’t not like that we had to wait an hour for pickup with the transportation company.
Great crew, very attentative, took care of everyone very well. Gave Clear, concise directions and were all very cordial and professional.
Great experience! The crew was wonderful. The parking is the bad part. We were told we had to leave our car and keys with the “valet” and paid $20 to park. We left our car with the “valet” and they stole the spare tire out the rental car.
The place they took us to snorkel was not good. It had no fish or reef for colors. Also, the snorkeling was a very very short time. There is not enough time to do anything in the town of Isla Mujeres. They only give you one hour. It’s not enough time to really do anything. Too much time at the beach area with at best a mediocre buffet. My recommendation would be to cancel the snorkeling altogether. Shorten the time at the beach area and extend the period of time in the town. The staff however, was absolutely excellent. The host made the trip fun and pleasurable.
Great crew! Very helpful, friendly, made sure all had a good time. Did not have an enjoyable experience snorkeling. The water was very choppy, Alfredo was a great guy, helped me thru it. All in all was a good experience.
We had an amazing time. We did upgrade to platinum status for $44 a person. We got a larger catamaran and only 2.0 people on board. There was an open area with pillows to sit in sun or covered area. Open bar with waiter services. Photographer taking pictures all throughout the day. Scuba diving is great but you need to be a good swimmer. We made stops on 2 different parts of the island of Isla Mujeres. One stop is shopping area. The next stop was the private beach club where we had buffet lunch and any drinks you wanted. After lunch our boat guide brought us to golf cart area to take ride to the end and see the spectacular views. Our boat reserved our carts while we were traveling. It was $35 but was super fun. It was a perfect day! I strongly recommend the upgrade small amount of people over the smaller boat with lots of people.
We were told we would have a 42 foot boat, but when we got there we were told we would have to be on a 75 foot boat, BUT would upsell us$50 per person to be on the boat we originally asked for. We were told we would have appetizers on the boat. No food. We were told we could have premium drinks, ONLY if we upgraded-not what we were sold. We could not drink until after snorkeling. Drinks were terrible and they really pushed the beer and we would have to ask for a mixed drink.
Would recommend spending the extra money for the 60% capacity boat ride...more intimate, more fun, and you have plenty of seating. Our sailors and captain.were hilarious and professional...they kept the drinks flowing!!!
We had a great time on this trip, and the crew was a lot of fun and very informative. We enjoyed our tour of the island and the catamaran! Thank you!
