We had an awesome time with G, it was only my partner and I and it was fantastic, the first stop for Carnitas was the best, i would def recommend ask for an additional was so good. All the stops were amazing and G was a fantastic guide. They picked us up on time and tour ended on times

We had a fantastic time exploring the local side of Cancun on this street food tour! The food was absolutely delicious, with plenty of authentic local flavors and a chance to experience how the locals eat. Our tour guide made the experience even more special with great knowledge, interesting stories, and a friendly personality.

Come hungry! We went to a number of different spots which were all tasty but gave us a number of options. It was a small tour with only 3 of us. It was great to stop at the market to give us an opportunity to walk off some of the food & explore. Gee was a great guide & Alex drove us everywhere safe & sound. Highly recommend!!

This is the perfect tour if you love food and culture. Our guide G was so incredibly patient and kind! Also, very small groups which made it easy to do what you wanted when you wanted! Highly recommend if you’re a foodie!

We had such a great experience on our Cancún food tour! Jorge was our guide, and Alex was our driver. We were picked up directly from our resort, and my partner and I ended up being the only two people on the tour, which made the experience feel very personal. Before we even got started, Jorge asked if we had any dietary restrictions or foods we didn’t eat. He really took the time to make sure the food stops were catered to our needs. We were open to trying just about anything, but I can’t eat spicy foods, and Jorge was fantastic about explaining exactly what I could and couldn’t eat at each stop. We visited three different restaurants and got to try a variety of local foods. We also toured Mercado 23, where locals shop, which gave us a really nice glimpse into everyday life in Cancún. One of my favorite parts was stopping at a local school and getting to see the students’ artwork; it was absolutely lovely to see what these students created. We finished the tour with a delicious homemade fruit popsicle, which was the perfect ending! Jorge was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and attentive throughout the entire tour, and Alex was a great driver. We really enjoyed our experience and would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for great food and a more authentic look at Cancún beyond the resorts.

Sasha and Angel were wonderful. Food was INCREDIBLE. Would love to get Sasha's venmo because I accidentally undertipped by switching a $20 for a $1. They definitely deserved more. Would also like to get back in touch so we can get the name and address to a couple of the places we went to.

This was an AMAZING experience! Alex and G were great. We went to three spots to have tacos. G made sure we understood what we would experience before we arrived at each location. We stopped by the mural which was a nice quick opportunity to see the art. We went to the market to do a little shopping. This was a really nice opportunity to support the local community. The shop owners were very nice and not pushy. We ended with a cool refreshing dessert. We returned to our hotel satisfied and needing a nap. What we noticed - G is an exceptional host. He gave us history, personal stories and guidance. We also noticed his generosity toward others that were not on our trip. We highly recommend this experience. We felt safe at every stop. The restaurants were 10/10.

Our guide and chef, Sasha, was awesome! I took my 76-year-old parents on the tour, and they had such a great time. Everything was well organized, and the communication and transportation were easy and clear. And the tacos, so many delicious tacos! 🌮 We were completely stuffed by the end. The three-hour tour was the perfect length and such a fun and enjoyable experience. Highly recommend!

What an incredible experience! Our guide, Sasha, was absolutely fantastic — so friendly, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. He made the entire tour fun, interesting, and completely comfortable from beginning to end. And the food! We ate far more than we probably should have, but every single thing was wonderful and absolutely worth it. It was such a great way to experience authentic local food and learn more about Cancún beyond the resorts. Shopping at Mercado 23 was another highlight. We loved wandering through the market, seeing the local shops and vendors, and experiencing a part of Cancún that many visitors probably never get to see. I would wholeheartedly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Cancún. It was one of those experiences that makes you feel like you actually got to know the destination rather than simply vacation there. I would also encourage people not to be afraid to explore downtown Cancún on their own. We felt completely safe, the people we met were friendly and welcoming, and many of the places we visited on the tour are places you could easily return to and enjoy independently. If you're looking for great food, local culture, shopping, and a genuinely wonderful guide, book this tour. You will not regret it! We had an absolutely fantastic time and would do it again in a heartbeat.

Awesome time, come hungry and leave full. All the food stalls/restaurants were delicious. Enjoyed learning about the different salsas - don't judge a salsa's heat by its color!

It was a good experience for me and my friends. The Carnitas was the star of the show for the whole food tour! We loved the market many cute trinkets ,souvenirs, and shirts for great prices. Gee was a great guide and explained everything very well. I do recommend this if you are a foodie and want to be a local for a day.

Sasha’s knowledge of Cancún and its food culture gave us more insight into the city’s diverse population. Sasha was informative and made us feel confident in our food choices. He explained our options and didn’t pressure us to choose one thing specifically, only try. Sasha made my daughter and I feel comfortable and kept us engaged throughout the tour. We visited five food vendors. Portions were very adequate and some were quite large. All food was local and delicious. Vendors were welcoming and courteous, surroundings were either street food or sit down restaurants. Drinks included soda, flavored water, and a Tequila sampler.

I was a return to Cancún but had stay at Sister property Laguna. Did the upgrade snd it was great, spa room with hot tub.

The experience itself was great, but our tour guide really made it better. The group was small and everyone else spoke Spanish and I speak English. The guide would translate for me so that I didn’t feel left out. He seemed to enjoy taking us on the tour.

Come hungry and ready for a one of a kind food experience. Angel was our driver and was great about getting us in and out of all the places safely. G was our guide and was fantastic at describing the food so we knew what we were getting along with sharing the local customs that went along with it. He is a wonderful story teller and was happy to answer all our questions. A great tour and I'd highly recommend it.

Our experience on this tour was absolutely amazing! Not one complaint, not one issue. Our tour guide was "G". He was great! The information he gave us was excellent, fair and honest. We went to numerous spots to eat. The first was excellent and we had a meat filled taco with a bottle of coke (there were other options). G explained exactly what we were eating, the cultural significance, and why it was so large at this time of the day. He made sure we understood the sauces that were available and how to test them before putting them on our meal. In fact, all of the stops were unique and none of the food was repetitive. G was such a pleasure, we went to so many places where G explained different cultural and historical facts. The information was not overwhelming but it was a perfect mix of food, fun, history and culture. G also took us to Market 23 which was not at all a tourist market. The shopkeepers were so nice and pleasant. There was no pressure or pushy sales at all. Just down to earth people. There was nothing about this tour and our time together that I did not enjoy. One of the best tours I've ever been on. I highly recommend this tour.

Amazing tour! Great way to learn about the history of Cancun, culture, and food! No stress trying to figure out logistics of where and what to eat when you have the experts like G and Alex as guides. All the food was delicious. I followed the advice of previous reviews and skipped breakfast to ensure that I had enough space for all the food that we were about to consume. We took breaks between eateries —walking through the park, mural, and Mercado 23. So glad we stopped at Mercado 23. I was able to browse and select a few beautiful woven bags and hand painted souvenirs in a no pressure environment.

G was an amazing guide on our local food tour! We thoroughly enjoyed learning about the local culture and how Cancun came to be what it is today. The food was delicious - highly recommend anyone on this experience listen to the recommendations of G (from what to order to what level of heat for the salsas). He won't steer you wrong and will make the experience that much better. We also enjoyed exploring a market outside of the hotel zone. The vendors were very nice and we were able to purchase a few souvenirs. Make sure you come hungry - the first stop is no joke with a large carnitas taco and bottle of coke! Alex was a fabulous driver and kept us safe and cool in the van. Do yourself a favor - leave the resort and book this tour!

Rather confused and very disappointed. I got an email this morning saying the tour was canceled. It didn't say why. I emailed for a conversation and never heard back. Then I got emails confirming the tour, and now I've got an email asking me how the tour was? Still waiting for someone to contact me to confirm that it was canceled and I'm getting my money back. One of the most confusing transactions I've ever had on Viator.

This was a GREAT experience with a very personable and knowledgeable guide, "G". He was a lot of fun, full of interesting information about the tour, including not only about the food and restaurants we visited, but also about the areas we walked through. Visited 2 breakfast places and sampled the foods - all very authentic and delicious. Then went to Mercado 23, which was a great experience of shopping with NO high pressure of buying as we strolled through the shopping stalls. Had a great lunch to follow that then homemade local fruit popsicles to wind up the day. Transportation from/to our hotel was included (but also option for no transportation needed), and the price was very fair for the 5 hour door to door event. "G" and Alec the driver, made the day a relaxing and very enjoyable trip. We would highly recommend this tour if you are looking for a great experience with food and friendship. Alex and Sacha provided us an excellent experience. They picked us up and toured a market with many stalls...Sacha talked about his favorite foods and how to pick out good produce. We then went to a local restaurant to prepare our food under Sacha's advice and instruction (guacamole. Enchilada with salsa, sopas, and more). Everything was delicious. A great thing to do on your visit to Cancun!!

Other than starting the day by waiting for fifteen minutes for people to never show up for our tour despite the continued efforts of our tour guide, the rest of this tour was absolutely amazing. Each of the food stops was delicious as we tried new dishes, drank new drinks, and enjoyed the history and context of different spots in Cancun. Whether it be the amazing murals that the local high school paints, the story about the trees farmed for rubber, or the personal stories about living and growing up in Cancun that our guide shared, this trip was a great time to experience some local culture and food. As someone who loves Mexican food and getting to better understand a place when visiting, I highly recommend it. However, if you can't be in your lobby at the designated time, don't respond to efforts for the tour guide to contact you, then come to Trip Advisor to leave negative reviews when you were the one in error, and never expect others on the trip to call you out, this may not be the best for you.

Our tour guide Adrian was amazing! He was so knowledgeable about all of the food, people, and the city. All of the food was amazing! He showed us around the Mercado and the wall of murals. Our driver Alex was a good driver. Definitely recommend this tour!!

This was a wonderful way to experience the culinary blend of Cancun. We got to try foods from all over Mexico and experience it the same way locals do. Angel and Sasha were fantastic guides. Sasha’s explanation of how certain foods are prepared and what they mean to him personally really gives you an appreciation for the amazing culture and food you get to try. My wife and I love food tours. We feel it’s the best way to immerse ourselves in a city/country, and this tour provided that and then some.
