I think the stops and length of time at these locations need to be reconsidered. The jewelry store and the little souvenir stops with the restaurant were not the best. The museum wasn't bad...just self-guided.

I definitely enjoyed the tour guides! Fermin and Enrique...they were great! My complaint is the places they take you. I don't know if they have contracts with the spots they take you but they need to do better! Its not thr guides fault its the company! We'd rather go to the local flea market with a variety of shops...not a jewelry store! Cancun photo opt was the only highlight of the tour!
My tour guide was very professional and knowledgeable. The only bad thing was traffic and you have to look out for certain drivers
I spent $75 on taxi to take me to and from my pick up spot at 11am that never happened. The tour was rescheduled for 12:30 that afternoon and I should've canceled because the tour was a waste of my money. Nothing exciting, boring a complete waste of time and money.
The pick up time was 11:45. The driver did not show up until 1:20. Poor planning. And then the trip seemed rushed
The tour was good but I would liked to go to other places to shop. The shops we went to were limited on their souvenirs
Thie Tour guide seemed to be handling two groups at the same time, which became confusing. There are also bigger places in cancun that we could have been taken to shop. We also never received the jewelry piece that we were told would come with the tour.
This experience was 3 hours of visiting high end and mediocre shops trying to sell you anything they could. There was one hour of visiting the Maya Museum which was good. You virtually saw nothing of Cancun beyond a mile from the beach hotel and there was no narration or sightseeing tour.
Per usual I booked a private tour and chose the most expensive one I could find. 2,500 pesos for a tasting, shopping and lunch. The vehicle was nice, comfortable there were two drivers which was cool. It that is the end of my positive comments. The selection for the tour was it worth the time or any valued experience. This tour was nothing more than an uber ride. In our next to last destination we were actually LEFT at the venue! No tour guide, all of the exhibits were in Spanish and of course that’s fine but damn!!!!! I don’t speak nor read Spanish. So when we were finished I was prepared to board my private vehicle which was no where to be found. I called the number and got a message and disconnected. When the driver contacted me, they said they had to get gas and would be there soon. Tf!!!!! We were waiting for 35 minutes and we did not even have time remaining to have our lunch. So not even a full tour. Lesson learned. I’ll be asking for a refund. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this company or good luck!
Driver was very punctual and friendly. The trip is a tour around Cancun in a mini bus with a stop at the Cancun sign for photographs and then a stop at a jewellery store and a gift shop/restaurant. A little bit of hard selling going on in the stores and the food stop was pricey despite having a credit of $200MXN. We had 1 dish each (as a couple) 1 beer and a coke and it cost $58 USD
They gave us only 5 Minutes to take our pictures at CANCUN sign. I wish they take us shopping for where we want to go not choice of driver. Thanks.
The driver was nice. However, the tour was a waste of time. We only went to the Cancun sign, wine tasting, then to a restaurant. We had to wait over an hour for a couple who was shopping. Not worth the money or time.
Our case special since only ones in van was our family. No issues adjusting or waiting for others. Just happened that way!
It was a nice experience, our tour guides were very polite and explained everything well. It was a beautiful experience I recommend this as a nice relax day adventure type vibe!
Honestly was one of the worst tours I ever experienced! Would not recommend, they don’t do half of the activities listed in the itinerary nor do they give you the food voucher and the places they do take you It’s all a Shark Tank to get you to buy their products and if you don’t buy, they get an attitude..
Unfortunately, I can not comment on the Musuem because we did not make it. I did purchase some jewelry from the International Jewelry.
There's no Tour guide, just dropped off at a place and left to figure it out. Our driver did take pictures but it lacked diversity, over priced suvineyor
Tour was good, would've been better without the jewelry factory. That should be substituted for somthing else. Your guide was friendly.
I had a good time, going to the jewelry store was unnecessary because it really didn't show any Mexican heritage besides the tequila tasting. But once we went to the restaurant Mexican Magic I definitely felt the culture at its finest. The food was ridiculously good and the store offered the authenticity of Mexico. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.
We had a wonderful experience. The tour was great after a long night on the town. It’s very hot and humid so being in a vehicle with AC is a must. Our tour guide (Erik) was very knowledgeable and helpful. He even took the best pics of us. Our driver (Pablo) was very good and always had a smile on his face. Every spot on the tour was inside with AC. I really loved this.
It was just ok. The shopping was a jewelry store then a souvenir shop that was attached to a restaurant. Kinda wanted a more authentic shopping experience at local booths. The Museum was ok
Price was good, length of visit was good. Traffic was not good.
There was not sight seeing, just being taken to places for at least an hour to spend money. Save your money on this one. We did not even have time to go to the beach where the sign was
My trip to Cancun was uneventful to say the least. The hotel we stayed at was clean downtown Cancun. We went to Cozumel, Plays de Maria and several other places. We did a day trip to Oasis resort which was interesting. Overall Cancun was okay.
Our guide was amazing! He made us feel like we were hanging out with a cousin. He was knowledgeable, friendly and patient. He offered to take pictures of the both of us.
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS "TOUR". The only positive was the Mexican restaurant. Save 6 hours out of your day (mind you, it was only supposed to be 4) and just go get Mexican food. We were supposed to go shopping but went to a jewelry store for them to pressure us to buy costume jewelry at real jewelry prices. That's where most of the time went. The museum is more like an art gallery and we were literally there for 10 minutes, TOPS.
What a great experience. Pickup was easy and smooth. We took a private tour but the experience was nothing but spectacular. We learned a lot about tequila and the mayan culture.. The shopping was ok. Lastly the tacos were incredible. If you hesitant on booking this don't be. It is well worth the money.
Terrible. I do not recommend this wine tasting tour. Totally about spending more money. Try a different company to guide you through Cancun
The tour was nice in the sense that we were able to see Cancun. This was very much a plot to make you spend money. The food at the restaurant was amazing. Highly recommend if you’re staying on the all-inclusive resort where the food is subpar.
While the tour staff themselves were polite, the actual itinerary and safety standards of this excursion were highly disappointing. It functioned less like a tour and more like a high-pressure shopping trip and basic shuttle service. Key Issues: Safety Concerns: The transport van was completely missing seat belts. Furthermore, the driver was texting while driving and used highly unprofessional language throughout the ride. Misleading Itinerary & Hidden Sales Pitches: The "tequila and jewelry stop" is actually a single location designed entirely around high-pressure sales pitches for sunglasses, tequila, and jewelry. The complimentary pendant was provided, but it was used as a vehicle to sell necklace chains starting at $60. Additionally, the advertised $100 jewelry credit was never provided. Poor Logistics at the Mayan Museum:We were dropped off at the museum for an hour with zero guidance. The museum itself is small, completely un-airconditioned, and has strict entry rules (such as banning non-plastic water bottles). We finished the entire site quickly and were left waiting outside after the museum had already closed for the day. Lack of Value Based on previous reviews warning about the high prices at the tour's designated restaurant and souvenir shop, we requested to be returned to our hotel early. The tour essentially functioned as an expensive, glorified taxi service. Aggressive Tipping Culture: There was a strong expectation to tip, explicitly reinforced by a sign featuring a $20 bill to imply a minimum expected amount. Recommendation: You would be much better off booking a standard ride-share to visit the museum on your own, stopping by the Cancun sign during a beach day, and seeking out authentic local shops for souvenirs. This tour does not deliver the experience advertised.
We've been traveling for 25 years and this was the worst tour we I've ever been on the museum is literally an outdoor jungle and no one was out there but the iguana's the liquor store was actually a high end jewelry store that's sold liquor the food and shopping was actually the resort next door bar and gift shop it was a seven minutes walk to the one we were staying at straight garbage SAVE your money and all of these places were less than a 20 min ride from our resort they kept us out there almost 4 hrs . If you look at the bad reviews they all have the same generic reply..REALLY...
we've been traveling for 25 years and this was the worst tour I've ever been on. The museum is literally an outdoor jungle, and no one was out there but the iguana's. The tequila tasting was actually a high end jewelry store that's sold liquor. The lunch, which was not included and shopping was actually the resort next door to the one we were staying at. They had a gift shop and a small Mexican restaurant It was literally a 7 minute walk back to our resort. Why would we pay to eat at a restaurant at the resort next door to ours. When we could walk 7 minutes and eat for free. This had to have been the worst tour in cancun trust me, do not use these people Save your money
Enjoyed the opportunity to take pictures by the Cancún sign. The Tequila tasting was superb! The driver and guide were very professional and accommodating. Only negative is the restaurant food cost was not included. Food was tasty but I think it should be factored into the tour cost. Overall, great experience.
Our tour guide Erik was awesome, very good experience. I would definitely use this company again on my next visit.
Very late pickup. Shopping was all a sells pitch. Tour was boring. Museum was far. Tacos made me sick.
Had the best tour guides and authentic Mexican tacos on this tour
This is such a curated experience, and nothing authentically Mexican about it. A stop at a jewelry store at the Marriott? Really?! Then to a “Mexican” store and restaurant that was so touristy. Also, I paid for four stops and was sent an itinerary and we only went to 3. Also, we were supposed to get a $50 gift certificate to this jewelry shop that we never received. And, we were told we were getting a mezcal tasting that never happened. The guide was nice and friendly but he gave us a 5-minute spiel about Cancún and that was the extent of it. When I asked for a partial refund I was denied. Save your money. Catch a taxi and tell them to take you to a mercado and you will have a better experience for less.
THIS IS THE WORST TOUR OF MY LIFE DO NOT BOOK THIS TOUR OR WITH THIS COMPANY. I honestly do not understand why this this many stars it should be a 1 star tour. I swear they are deleting reviews or something. Here is everything that sucked: 1. They pressured us in skipping the MAYAN Museum. They kept making excuses such as “its so hot to be walking outside for 1 hour” (it should be ~45 minutes as stated in the itinerary but whatever 45min is close to 1hr). “They” said they didnt want to do it (who is they? I was scared to ask and my friends didn’t want to be confrontational). So be aware if you guys are extremely easily pressured as we were (we were only 3 girls). They also made sure we signed a waiver and the tour guide was making me feel uncomfortable so I obliged. Huge mistake now I can’t even get a partial refund because this is a 70 CAD tour (ridiculous) but they didn’t even have to pay for our tickets. Not that Viator is known to have good customer service. They were trying to have many other teams after us skip the mayan museum as well. This had other teams super angry. Like they have 4 tour spots. How can they take one out on the day of? Thats like 25% of the freaking tour missing. 2. 15 minutes at the Dolphin beach is a scam. They literally loaded us off and took three/four pictures of us each and rounded us on the van again. We did not have 15 minutes to enjoy an honestly beautiful beach. 3. The “shopping” experience is not taking you to a market. Its more like sending you to that scammy “outlet” (calling it an outlet is generous, more like two floors of sunglasses, tequilas and cheap lab made stone jewelry). It was terrible like why did they name an entire tour of something so mediocre. 4. The restaurant was smelling like mildew and the waiter was SO RUDE WHEN HE REALIZED WE WERENT GONNA SPEND HUNDREDS ON OVERPRICED MID FOOD. Like even with the voucher the food is over priced. But the waiter was the worst, snatching things and not even offering water. Why he thought he was inclined to 20% tip if he was just gonna snatch things and talk rudely is beyond my guess but we still gave it but it was baddddddd service. 5. We had to wait 40 minutes outside in the heat because our driver wouldn’t come. They kept saying 5 more minutes. for about 30 of those minutes. They wouldn’t let us leave either for some reason. Also our tour guide disappeared on us in the middle and when he came back witha different team he was so rude most likely because we were keep asking them how much longer do we have to wait. The other teams left wayyy earlier and on their accord and they were the smart ones. They don’t respect your time which is super important on a vacation with limited time. This is the most disappointing and disgusting tour I’ve ever had the displeasure of being on. It was our last day so we wanted to do something chill before we head to the airport but it’s now left me with a bad taste and so much rage. I feel horrible for booking this tour for my friends and I wish everyone listens to me and not think I am being dramatic (I thought those couple other bad reviews were being dramatic and was expecting too much). But this is single handedly the most overpriced low quality thing I’ve done (and my tolerance for bad things is pretty high) and I wish I can get some sort of a refund because it’s only done like half of what it said it would accomplish on the booking page. But for those who didn’t read this long review and those who still decide to take the tour you will remember me and my review at some point.
It was a great tour but the last store on the tour didn’t have the correct exchange rate and was charging us (American customers) more money than what they should have.
Traveled with my spouse and 2 teenagers, this excursion was shared with another family that I was unaware while booking but we all became friends instantly. Took great pictures, had great tacos & tequila. My only wish is that we would have known that the museum was closed prior to booking.
This is a box standard tour. You travel to partnered locations for shopping. The staff was pleasant the food at Mexico magico was excellent the tequila tasting was decent. This is a good tour for a quick intro to the area but not any deeper than that.
The guy did not give any information or guide us through a tour of the city while driving. The museum he said it was closed so we never went there and he said the beach was too hot and crowded so we didn’t go there either.
Great trip to see downtown Mexico. The tour guide was excellent. I enjoyed seeing the beach and taking pictures and that Mexican food fron the restaurant was so good.
First as a solo traveler I was told I had to purchase two tickets. Our first stop was a hotels gift shop for tequila tasting and to explore the gift shop. Our second stop was a museum that had no AC, the third stop was another store that had a restaurant attached to it. This was not worth the $78 I spent. Do not recommend!
Tour was good, but each stop - jewelry store, & tequila tasting, felt like there was a lot of pressure to buy items from them.
The guide was nice but the tour was disappointing thought it would have had a bit more activities
Our guide was very nice but there wasn’t a lot to see on this tour. The restaurant we went to was also on the pricier side. Also, we didn’t get a lot of time at the museum.. that was my primary reason for booking this tour. The pendant was a nice touch though.
We were a bit far away from the starting point and we reached out to the tour company and they allowed us to start the tour at a closer point. That was very kind and helpful. We booked on a Monday so the museum option wasn’t available because they close on mondays. We would have appreciated more guidance and information from our guide, no information was given about the places we went to, it was more like taking a taxi from one place to another. Since we didn’t get to do the museum option, they replaced it with dropping us off at a mall and we just went about our day. Maybe it’s a personal preference but I would have liked to know more about the history of Mexico/ Cancun and the nice buildings we were passing. It wasn’t until the end of the ride that I asked a bit about the food and was given some information.
Booking: The booking process was easy and quick. The downside was the lack of communication regarding the transportation or tour guide we should be on the look our for upon arrival. This info should definitely be in our booking confirmation. Price: Price was reasonable but not really worth it since we went on a Monday & one of the main locations they visit was not available. They should make this known prior to booking. Locations: Locations really were not very exciting. Was hoping to experience more cultural stores vs being taken to very high priced touristy type stores. Food: The food at the restaurant we stopped at was great! And the service they provided was amazing Service: Our tour guide Isahi & driver Javier were the highlight of the tour. They arrived on time and were very pleasant, personable & professional. They made this tour great! Otherwise I would have given it a 5/10.
The staff is friendly and respectful. I love our trip because it was short and very convenient for us visitors to tour around Cancun. The wine tasting was unforgettable. I enjoyed it.
