We met at a meet spot and began our tour. Our guide John was amazing. We’re not only had some amazing tacos but we learned a lot of history of the playa del Carmen area. John was personable, knowledgeable, and overall an amazing guide. My hubby and I had a great time.
My family and I had a wonderful time with John, our guide, on this Cancún taco tour in mid-December! We really appreciated that City Art Tours was able to accommodate our last-minute booking. All of the tacos we tried were delicious and John was fun to spend a few hours with. John was really knowledgeable about not only tacos but also Cancún and Mexico more broadly. We learned a bunch from him, and we left stuffed and happy. The evening was one of the highlights of our trip!
We were the only couple so we had a private tour! We were glad that the ran the tour anyway. Michelle was a great tour guide and answered all our questions. The food was great also. We especially liked the street tacos!

tacos and 2 drinks. that's really it. no history lesson about mexico or cancun. just walking to different restaurants, eating a taco and leaving. ate one street taco which was so yummy and got SOME background on that family. the tour guide was kind and spoke english well.
This tour is great for sampling a variety of local ingredients. We ate 5 different tacos, had two drinks, and ended the night with freshly made and delicious churros. Our guide was Oscar, who was awesome and passionate about Mexican cuisine. He explained what everything was and what sauces pair best with what. We had a great time trying tacos from restaurants and taco trucks. Make sure to come hungry. We were stuffed by the end of the night. Oscar also showed us where to buy souvenirs for less than they’d cost in the hotel zone and helped arrange a taxi for us after. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking to get out of the hotel zone for a night. Thank you, Oscar!
Our guide John was very knowledgeable about the area. He described the preparation of each meat and our options for garnish. Each place was unique and off the beaten path.

This was a great experience ! If your thing is waking and trying local food spots this tour is for you. Oscar (our host) was very knowledgeable and humble. He knows his way around Cancún and definitely has a great personality. The tour was exciting, my Wife and I really had a great time. The food was outstanding, we had tripa tacos for our first time and it was 😋. We encountered some rain but over all we had fun and made new friends. I highly recommend this tour to get a feel of the local area.
This was a great experience! We were able to eat 5 tacos from 4 restaurants with two drinks and a dessert. My friend and I were so full! We were able to adjust based on dietary restrictions and see the local area as we went from restaurant to restaurant. My favorite was the black pastor and fish tacos! Yum!
What an awesome authentic experience! Had the best tacos and had the opportunity to go off the beaten path and eat at some truly local spots. We were the only ones there with our guide Oscar bug it was fun and felt personal. We got to try lots of tacos n we were afraid we would be full after but it was more than filing. We tried local places and we tried places that seem to be catered more towards tourists but they were all delicious. The experience was something that I would recommend to everyone visiting Mexico.
This tour was amazing! We got a chance to taste a variety of tacos and they were all great and even got a chance to taste some churros. It started pouring down raining and our tour guide Oscar still managed to entertain us while we waited for it to pass. Great tour with Giovanni who brought us to several restaurants to enjoy one of our favourite foods, tacos! We got to see how fresh tortillas are made and even got a chance to help make some. It wasn't just a taco tour, but also a downtown city tour. Highly recommend this tour if you're looking to get out of the hotel zone and learn more about Cancun and see where the locals eat and enjoy their evenings. We came out of the tour feeling so full and barely had enough room for dessert! Highly recommend Giovanni. We were fortunate enough to get a private tour as one of the participants didn't show up. We chose an English tour but ended up having a French tour once we realized Giovanni spoke perfectly fluent French. We really appreciated that he helped us flag a bus back to the hotel zone at the end of the tour.
Oscar was so friendly and informational ! I love that they kept us Informed the entire time. We had so many good tacos and drinks !! A great way to experience the city!
It’s our first time in Cancun, I had the most amazing tacos, I ate 6 tacos in one night I think I broke my personal record, thanks to our guide Oscar showing us where to go and what to eat. He’s very friendly and personable, like eating out with an old friend. Our bellies are full with happiness. Definitely want to go back to 1-2 of the restaurants to try more on their menus.
Oscar lead us on a tour where we sampled different tacos but also learned about the neighborhood, met people in our group from around the world, ended at a neighborhood fair. Authentic tour well worth the cost. Spent about 45 mins before tour walking around garden, had taxi drop us and pick up at same spot. Worked out perfectly for your and to visit the fair and local market. Great evening
Completely worth every cent! My friend Evaristo has the best tacos in Colorado ( TACOS VIEJONES )but the pastor negro is by far the best I have ever tasted. Not only delicious food, but our guide Oscar is better than GOLD! It was fun and informative. We definitely recommend this tour. You should come hungry as there is plenty of food! We will recommend this tour to all our friends who travel to Cancun.
Anastasiya was great at getting all the right info to us. Meeting up with our guide Oscar was super easy. He was great! Really felt like walking around and talking with a local friend. Ate soooo many tacos! Churros at the end was a good touch to end the night. Overall, worth it

Great taco tour with Axel. We got a chance to eat locally as well as tour downtown Cancun. Food was delicious and plentiful. Don’t eat before tour ! Please do this one and come hungry
I booked this taco tour for a bach party for myself and 5 other girls and we loved it! I paid extra to have a shuttle pick us up and drop us off, which I recommend. All of the tacos were super delicious and I loved that we got to walk through the town. The tour guide was great and super patient and accommodating for all of us!
Awesome experience. Get to see downtown with an expert tour guide (Oscar). Food was awesome and the beer was cold. Did not get to try then churros, because of time. Great tacos. Always finish a taco in one go :)
Our tour guide Cisne shared great history and humor, with information about the kinds of tacos, the way to eat them, and we got to explore the park at night afterwards which was vibrant! This was an absolutely must-do in Cancun, really authentic delicious tacos I wouldn’t have tried without this tour. Luis was an awesome guide and I’d highly recommend! Also a great deal for the money!! I was stuffed by the end of the day evening, even went back to one place the next day. Highly recommend!!
Amazing experience with Luis! Felt like I was with a long time friend eating delicious tacos in many exciting spots I wouldn't find on my own. Luis was accommodating to everyone in our small group and made me feel very welcome. It was more than just a tour it felt like we were out and about with the great friend. Luis was amazing and showed my friend and I all the great spots on Cancun. I loved how at each spot we would get to know more about the food, the history and the culture of Cancun. Towards the end of our tour we made a new friend and found the best restaurants/street vendors in the city. I can’t wait to come back and do this tour again!! Book now everyone
Luis was our host for the evening. When this tour says to come hungry, PLEASE LISTEN TO THEM! We really had an awesome time! We ate so much food, by the time we were done with the 3rd place, we were stuffed. Learning about the different foods, preparations, and music was a total blast. We even got to see street performers around the tour and stayed awhile afterwards to buy some souvenirs. My daughter and I truly felt like we were simply hanging out with a friend that's introducing us to their town. Definitely would do this again and remember to tip new bestie Luis well!
Luis led me to four different taco stops, each one introducing me to not only a different taco variety but each time a different atmosphere too. Luis was a great guide, but also great company from start to finish.
Very cool experience to get to know the city of Cancun and the best Tacos. It is best to do this tour at the start, so you can recognize the best dishes and restaurants. Was a private tour (just for the two of us) with super friendly Mexican guide Michelle. Tasty, fun & relaxing.
