Value was not bad at all. The only reason I gave a 4/5 is because they have two optional charges. The first was a golf cart which was explained to us and we happily accepted so no issue there. The second was the pictures. You get five selections. It was explained to us that they were 25 a piece and the fifth one was added on free of charge. We were not given the price in USD, Pesos, Pounds, Euros, etc., so it was a bit confusing. Thought we were paying in pesos at first but it ended up being USD. Partially our fault for not clarifying but I feel like they could also alert you what currency they were expecting. I rated the experience 3/5 because while the trip was decent overall the snorkeling was a bit of a disappointment. Reef looked dead and we did not spend a lot of time snorkeling. No big deal and that probably would have warranted a 4/5 had there not been an incident. The reason it is 3/5 is because the staff casually overserved one guest on the trip. The staff even had to help the intoxicated guest walk and sit on multiple occasions. Said guest was sexually harassing another guest and it escalated. I had to call out the harasser and he got verbal and tried to get physical. It caused a whole scene but the staff was no where to be seen and seemed like they didn’t care. The situation was left to all of the guests to resolve. Luckily the other guests were a good bunch and helped the situation. I just feel like it shouldn’t have been only up to the guests to intervene and help that poor woman who was obviously very uncomfortable.

Blue bayou, Very good guide , nice and helpfull super nice. Can highly recommend
I would not recommend this tour based on our experience. First, the operator did not follow the advertised itinerary. One of the main highlights was snorkelling, but instead of arranging it at a suitable time, we were taken snorkelling around 6 PM, almost at sunset. This was extremely disappointing, as visibility and the overall experience were not ideal. There was also very little guidance or instruction regarding snorkelling. They simply provided the equipment and asked us to follow them into the water at 6 PM. For an activity like snorkelling, proper guidance, safety instructions, and suitable timing should be basic expectations. Another major concern was the constant upselling of additional services. The operator was promoting his own additional tours, including golf cart tours around Isla Mujeres, which were offered to us for $40 USD. These additional costs and sales pitches were not clearly communicated when we booked the original tour. The photo service was even more concerning. Photos were taken of us without clearly explaining the pricing upfront. Only afterwards were we told that the photos would cost $120 USD, sometimes with additional taxes. These charges should be transparently disclosed before taking photos, not presented as a surprise afterwards. My biggest issue is the lack of transparency. If additional services such as golf cart rentals, photography packages, and other activities are part of the operator’s business model, their prices and availability should be clearly mentioned on the booking page so customers can make informed decisions and plan or book these services in advance. Overall, the experience felt more focused on selling additional services than delivering the tour that customers had actually paid for. We booked this tour expecting a well-organized Isla Mujeres experience, proper snorkelling arrangements, and professional guidance. Unfortunately, the execution and transparency fell far below expectations. I would strongly recommend that future customers clarify all additional charges before participating and carefully consider whether this tour is worth booking.
Great boat. Lucky to land on the Bucket List!!! Great crew, lots of drinks and loud music.
Everything when great, only bad thing was when the driver missed my drop off at dreams riviera Cancun resort and spa, has to return back after 30 minutes. But we back to the resort save for the wonderful day we spent on the boat and Isla Mujeres. Thanks!!!
everything went well the workers are great very attentive and the experince was worth it, my only complaint is the snorkeling and if you choose to drive the golf carts on the island it feels very rushed. overall a experince worth trying, once.
The whole crew were so much fun! Service was impeccable and we never had an empty glass. The snorkel spots were lovely as was the island. Food was good too. Fernando was our guide and he was brilliant, SO much fun! Thank you for a lovely day , we will be back!
Bad booking experience. I was not contacted to let know my pick up times etc. It was a good day and with the guides but I would not do again
Amazing experience you really get your moneys worth with this excursion! Mexican chocolate was the best took such good care of us and the rest of the staff was amazing aswell. Highly recommend
The staff and the crew were amazing. Sadly the weather was poor and they didn’t tell us that snorkeling would be canceled until after we departed. They “substituted” golf carts across Isla Mujeres for a significant cost. Otherwise we would have been dropped on a beach and left there for 5 hours. Crew was great. Mitigating circumstances. Boat ride back to the dock was very fun. But it was in zero way what we signed up for and would have probably preferred not to go. Should have been given the option to bail.
So fun!! The Team were amazing , Babo was so fun and kept the party going . Drinks were weak but I can’t imagine they can have a bunch of drunks getting off the boat, lol Took a golf cart to Punta Sur , snorkeled, amazing , fun time !!
Definitely worth the price. Babo and the crew were top notch.
My experience with Caribbean Golden was so fun! It was Cowboy’s group & they were so helpful and welcoming from the moment we stepped onto the boat. Un gran placer! I Espero tenerlos de grupo la proxima vez de vamos a Isla Mujeres 🩵🐠
Great time! Guide made the boat ride so much fun! Would definitely book again!
No snorkel and no swim fins. Only ill fitting mask and ill fitting vest. Be prepared to be swimming (not floating) for 35 consecutive minutes. The guides had swim fins, and the group was expected to keep up. The beach club was a dump. Prison quality food. Old, rundown facilities. Several wrecks and sunken boats at the dock. Hard sell for add ons (pictures and island tour). On the good side, Playa Norte was beautiful and well kept. Typical Mexican tourist shops & restaurants nearby. The crew was polite, but gave less than clear directions in English. I would not do this tour again, nor can I recommend it to anyone.
Fernando was a great host and informative.
Group was fantastic and Marion and crew was fantastic and quick to help. Scuba experience was perfect
My family & I as a group of 10 had an amazing time. They took such good care of all of us, they even made sure to have a designated sitting area for our little ones especially. Juan Jose went out of his way to make my nephew feel comfortable while we were snorkeling which I found so kind of him. I definitely recommend 10/10!!
Miss Laura boat and alexis. Excellent trip!
Luis Cruz the main host was great, mr alexis boat was fantastic, non stop drinks a days and very friendly experience all round, would recommend to anyone looking to explore the Mexican islands
An amazing ride and entertainment with Luis Cruz and crew.
We were on the Miss Laura boat & our tour guide, Alexis, & the crew were fabulous…friendly, helpful & on their game! So much fun. I’d highly recommend it:)
Caribbean Golden Tours Cancun delivered one of the worst customer experiences I have ever had. I paid for an ADULTS-ONLY CATAMARAN, and what I received was completely different from what I expected and paid for. Misleading, disappointing, and handled with absolutely no regard for the customer. A full refund was refused straight up and no one helped at the dock until I reached Isla Mujeres. I booked this tour for my birthday, expecting a fun, adults-only atmosphere with entertainment and a proper catamaran experience. Instead, I ended up on a smaller boat packed with families and children. There was no real entertainment, no enjoyable atmosphere, and absolutely nothing that resembled the experience I had paid for. If I wanted a family-oriented boat trip, I would have booked one. Why advertise and sell an adults-only experience if that is not what the customer actually receives? What makes this even more frustrating is that this was my SECOND trip with this same operator. I previously booked with them in January 2026, and that experience was good enough for me to return in October 2026. Unfortunately, this time was an absolute disaster. Something has clearly changed in the quality of the service, and I will never make the mistake of trusting this company again. They eventually moved us to a different catamaran on the return journey. Seriously? What good is changing the boat after the experience has already been ruined? The entire point was to enjoy the catamaran experience I had booked in the first place, not to receive a last-minute adjustment after wasting most of the trip on an entirely different experience. And then came the worst part: the way they handled the compensation. The staff told me they would provide complimentary transportation back to my hotel to make up for the disappointing experience. I relied on what I was told. But when I arrived at the dock, suddenly I was told I hadn’t paid for transportation, and the promised ride was nowhere to be found. Let that sink in. They acknowledged the poor experience enough to offer compensation, but when it was time to honour their own promise, I was left arguing about transportation. This is absolutely unacceptable customer service. If your staff makes a promise to a customer, your company should stand behind it instead of leaving the customer to deal with the consequences. And remember, this was my BIRTHDAY. I paid my money expecting an enjoyable day, and instead I was left feeling cheated, disrespected, and completely let down. But somehow, the absurdity didn’t end there. After all this, they tried to upsell me a Jet Ski experience with a 50% discount! Are you kidding me? Your original service has disappointed the customer, your promised compensation has not been delivered, and your solution is to try to SELL ME SOMETHING ELSE? That is an astonishing lack of judgment and customer care. A discount on another activity is not compensation for a bad experience. It certainly doesn’t fix a broken promise or make a customer feel valued. I cannot speak to what has changed within this company since my last visit, but I can speak to what happened to me in October 2026: the experience did not match what I booked, the boat was not what I expected, the atmosphere was completely wrong for an adults-only outing, and the promised transportation compensation was not honoured. My biggest regret was giving this company a second chance. Viator customers deserve to receive the experience they actually book and pay for. They should not have to settle for something different, chase promises made by staff, or be subjected to sales pitches after a disappointing experience. I would strongly advise other travellers to think twice before booking with Caribbean Golden Tours Cancun. Based on my experience, I would not trust this operator with another special occasion, and I certainly will not be booking with them again. They didn’t just disappoint me with the tour. They turned what was supposed to be a memorable birthday into an experience I will remember for all the wrong reasons. Never again.
The captain and crew were wonderful, helpful and as attentive as we could have wished. Friendly and fun, on time and informative. Would definitely recommend! Cowboy was a great team leader and so much fun on the Mydas!
We took the Mr.Alexis boat it was such an incredible time!! The staff was such a blast and Fernando was great!!! Definitely recommend coming on this excursion!!
Luis Cruz Mrs. Laura was a great guide. He helped convince me to take a dive in the middle of the ocean without knowing how to swim. He made sure I got in and out of the water safely and overall was an amazing guide.
Great experience. A great a fun experience. 100/10 recommend
Boat ride and crew were very friendly. They worked hard serving guests. Definetly the high point was the boat ride and snorkeling. The lunch stop at the buffet was very ran down. The lunch was low quality and service was asking for tips as you walked through getting food. The stage and water slides were rotted and unusable. It was a really trashed and ran down sight. The trip would be better if they just had a box lunch or it was cheaper and they just took you to the nice part of the island to eat on your own which was the second stop. The transfer was also inconvenient. We were 4 minutes from our hotel but had to wait 25 minutes for other boats and passengers to arrive. Not worth the expense. Summary: boat snorkel and crew good, 1st stop lunch terrible, second stop at nice beach good, transfer service not good.
Hidden fees tax fee. 7 hours atmosphere was scenic amazing views. Overall small crowd. Free drink on the boat. We also when yo a resort food and drinks inclusive
Was a very fun and safe boat ride.
My wife and I did not enjoy this tour. They canceled the snorkeling portion due to bad weather but never actually told anyone. Once we got to the Isla Mujeres beach club we asked about the snorkeling and then they said it was canceled. The beach club was in ruins and outdated. The food was ok but the club was very run down and did not look nice. They also convinced us to purchase the golf cart additional tour which took us to the Mayan "museum/ruins". Our golf cart was broken and went half the speed as everyone else. It was miserable putting on the road while other vehicles got mad and passed by us. By the time we arrived to the destination we were only given about 5-10 minutes to walk around. The area was just modern monuments of Mayan figures and not interesting at all. When we returned back to where we got the carts we only had about 20 minutes to explore the area since our cart was slow and lost about 20-25 minutes. When I complained to the tour guide about the broken cart he just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. No refund or partial refund was given. I do not recommend taking this tour and if you do you should not do the additional golf cart tour for $90.
Wonderful and the service was amazing. Everyone was great in the boat.
Mexican chocolate was great, very energetic
Great fun, lovely friendly and fun staff! Went for our anniversary and had a great time!! Highly recommend!
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Not worth all the money we paid for our group. Beach club was trash. Snorkeling was extremely rough, couldn’t see a thing; we understood weather wasn’t 100% but the workers were extremely rude to us saying we were beginners & just talking so ugly to us about our own home equipment & swimming skills. If the weather isn’t in an ideal condition, then why risk customers in the first place with the type of currents the water had? Made no sense. Their equipment as far as life jackets also weren’t the size we needed. Too big & couldn’t swim correctly with them. Mentioned it but they ignored our concern. I’ll NEVER recommend this company. The vibe was not it. We ended up leaving back on a ferry from Isla Mujeres because of how terrible everything was. Cut our losses & moved on!
Overall, we had a fun day on the catamaran! The drinks were delicious and generously poured, and the crew had great vibes throughout the trip. The snorkeling was a bit challenging because of the strong current, but the crew did their best to make everyone feel safe and helped us see some really cool underwater statues. There was also a professional photographer on board who took some gorgeous pictures for an additional cost, which were worth checking out! On Isla Mujeres, we decided to skip the ATV and instead relax on the beautiful Playa Norte, which was absolutely stunning. One important warning: be very careful at the tequila-tasting restaurant included in the tour. The staff were friendly, but we felt pressured to purchase things at RIDICULOUSLY high prices, so definitely check prices before agreeing to anything. The buffet lunch was pretty mediocre, but it did the job of soaking up all the drinks! Also, keep in mind that no extra snacks or food were served on the boat itself, so plan accordingly. Overall, a great atmosphere and a fun way to spend the day, just come prepared for a few tourist traps and don't expect gourmet food!
Amazing day with family great service from fantastic staff thanks for making Tony’s birthday so special highly recommend for a great boat trip
We have mixed feelings about this adventure. First, know that we have been on several tours through Viator and Trip Advisor. They included guides that spoke in multiple languages. I have not left a poor review for any of them so it pains me to write this up. The Good Transportation to the marina: Excellent. On time, efficient, great job. Checkin: Fast. Organized. Crew: The crew was fantastic. They hustled the entire time to care for passengers. They provided water, juice, beer, and cocktails non-stop. They all were working hard. The vessel: The vessel was safe. Read below for more though. Value: The value for a daylong trip on a boat is there. Quality was the issue I am struggling with. The shopping stop, second stop: There were a lot of shops, albeit tourist shops, and restaurants to visit. We had ice cream, some beers and restocked our water. It was nice to relax because we were beat up from the snorkeling debacle, read on. The bad: Too many people: I stopped counting at 60. That was too many people. Seating was incredibly tight. It created chaotic snorkeling. More on the snorkeling below. Bathrooms on board: The men’s room had a filthy floor and toilet. The toilet was clogged and disgusting. The women’s room was decrepit, similar to a public toilet that is never tended to. Snorkeling: There was a really strong current the day we sailed. The operator cannot control that. Like all the touring boats, they ask passengers to hold a rope behind the boat. There were too many people on the line. It was chaotic and became unsafe. People were standing on the line so others couldn’t reach it. Those that were able to were able to reach it were really having trouble and too close to each other. Luckily the crew jumped in with life preserver floats to help people who were in distress. The captain is responsible for making the call on water conditions and safety. It was too strong of a current and the passengers were panicking in the water, swimming over other people in fear trying to get to safety. I snorkel a lot and have never been in a situation like this. I am a very strong swimmer. So is my husband, but the panicking people were pulling us under water. I am sharing so the captain knows the conditions this day, Oct. 10 on Blu Byou. The Ugly Buffet lunch and beach club: I have been on tours where food for over 40 people was part of the logistics and they were great. This was not. The food was terrible. I hate to say that. But it was. It wasn’t anything I would pay for. The quality of cooking was really poor. A lot of tasteless spaghetti, some frozen pizza, chicken legs, and boiled carrots. The beach club: It was unsafe. The wooden board walk was falling apart. Boards were rotted, soft, missing boards, unattached boards and I realized that they were so rotted a foot could go through. There is a dilapidated series of water slides with no water running through them, they are rusted and it doesn’t appear to have been in operation for some time. We walked around to discover the area because there wasn’t really much of a beach. Behind the building was garbage and debris that was just thrown in piles everywhere. As mentioned, the crew was working really hard. They were personable and tried to make the trip fun for people. The other issues, well, they are what they are. I am hoping the captain takes note of safety, that the parent company cleans up the bathrooms and evaluates the quality of the beach club.
Fantastic loved this group. Fernando was the beste!
Entire experience was amazing. Rene, Josue, and the rest of the crew were amazing. Recommend to everyone!!
I’m not really sure why we didn’t snorkel. We were given life vests and goggles and dropped off at a designated ocean spot while the yacht circled around. We swam quite a lot in a circle, never stopping to actually look underwater. The most embarrassing part was that there isn’t a ladder to get back on the yacht. A staff member had to physically pull us up one by one. He made sure to loudly joke about how heavy each one of us are. Including telling women to “stop eating tacos”. I was overwhelmingly embarrassed. We were severely body shamed. Overall the experience was ok because we got to meet interesting people who had also booked the excursion. But we didn’t get the full snorkeling experience. I absolutely would request a refund.
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this tour, and here’s why: 1. Poor snorkeling equipment The snorkeling equipment was uncomfortable and seemed to be very basic and low quality. I would strongly suggest investing in better masks and snorkels. Perhaps you could ask your colleagues at Ocean Tours for recommendations on more comfortable and reliable equipment. 2. Overcrowded catamaran There were simply too many people on the catamaran. For most of the trip, we had to remain seated because there was barely enough space to move around comfortably. This definitely took away from the overall experience. 3. Terrible lunch location The place where we were taken for lunch was probably one of the most disappointing parts of the tour. Everything looked old and poorly maintained, the tables were dirty, and the food was very average. The overall atmosphere was unpleasant. I would never choose to return to this place, and I certainly wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. 4. The island itself was not worth the trip Honestly, there was nothing particularly special about the island. If you’re staying at a beautiful resort in Mexico, I would recommend enjoying your resort instead of giving up an entire day for this excursion. Once you arrive on the island, you’re given some free time, but almost everything comes at an additional cost. Beach chairs are not free, using the restroom costs $1, and showers cost $2. On top of that, local vendors constantly approach you, trying to sell you something. It becomes exhausting rather than relaxing. We were hoping to experience beautiful nature and a unique island atmosphere. Instead, we found an overly commercialized tourist destination where it felt like every little thing was another opportunity to charge visitors. Now, something positive — the crew of Lady Laura! Despite our disappointment with the tour itself, I genuinely want to recognize the amazing crew of Lady Laura. They worked incredibly hard throughout the entire trip. They were always attentive, made sure everyone had drinks, helped guests safely get to the restroom, and were constantly available whenever someone needed assistance. Their kindness, professionalism, and dedication were truly appreciated. They did everything they could to make the experience enjoyable. Overall, the crew deserves five stars, but the tour itself was a disappointment. Unfortunately, I would not recommend spending your vacation time and money on this excursion.
I had a great time with the team! Lo, Alex, Paola, Julio, Michelle All took great care of me and my family
Larena was a fantastic guide, she walked us through safety instructions and made sure everything was clear.
Lorena was amazing! We had the best time!
It was a good tour overall, I appreciate Luis for helping me get to the location. Also chocolate man for the vibes.
Joseph and his crew were WONDERFUL! We had the best time and I would highly recommend. He took very good care of us and we aren’t always easy, lol.
The crew and service were top notch. Boat was older and needed better padded seating options. The beach break spot was pretty run down and not as nice as others. Small swim area, no activities. Drink service was fantastic and music was exciting! Would have liked to stop on North of island where water is clear and more swimmable. Checkin was easy and fast.
It was a great experience! The trip, the snorkel, the open bar at the Cataraman and the good vibes! I would have wish to see more animals during the snorkeling and have more time during the buffet but apart of that great!
Unforgettable trip here for the whole day, lovely visit amazing area for tourists plenty of food, saw different attractions if your going Cancun this is a must + Mexican chocolate made our trip 10x more enjoyable, he knows good spots and areas.
