Itinerary: Check-in 8:00 a.m. boat departure 9:30 a.m. and you will be back around 1:00 p.m. For this activity you fill a medical questionary about your health, then you will take a basic theory lesson and pool practice in order to perform some skills to learn the basic of scuba diving, you will do this with an experienced and qualified instructor, after this you will take the boat to the dive sites and you will do two tank dives, first dive at MUSA Underwater Museum and second tank at Manchones reef, you will be returning to dock same place you departed. IMPORTANT TO KNOW: - People with asthma, heart or brain problems, high blood pressure, lung lesions, organ transplant, diabetes, epilepsy or any surgery less than 1 year, CAN NOT dive. - Keep in mind you need to rest between 18 - 24 hours after diving before take an airplane. - Bring ID, towels, swimsuit and/or any other thing for your personal care that you think you are going to use. - As the activity is from a boat, we suggest take anti-nauseas pills, 1 or 2 hours before getting on the boat for best effects. - For this activity people must know how to swim.
This was the best experience I could have asked for my first time scuba diving. Marin was so knowledgeable and made me feel very safe. He’s also an incredibly talented photographer, so I highly recommend getting the photo package. 10/10 recommend and look forward to doing it again my next time in Cancun!

It was such an amazing lifetime experience. Marin, our instructor, made everything go smoothly and was well peppered and patient. I will never forget this first dive.
We had a small group, each person had an individual equipment assigned, no waiting, no rushing, two long (20 minutes) dives at each location (a living reef and an underwater museum), where I saw the most beautiful and various sea life. We purchased amazing gopro videos and photos for extra money. Before departure we also had a training at a pool where all safety instructions were properly explained to my partner who had the first diving experience. We want to return there soonish. The small boat had no washroom though.
We arrived a bit early and was greeted by Carolina and then Marin came and explained how the scuba equipment worked. He was very thorough and we practiced in the hotel pool for approximately 30 mins before leaving on the boat to go to our first dive site. Unfortunately my husband couldn’t join us on the dive but he wasn’t left out and he snorkelled while I followed Marin and had two amazing dives where I saw sharks, puffa fish, stingrays, and the most beautiful coloured fish. He was very patient with me and explained things very well. I would 100% recommend this activity and Marin is a great teacher.

I went as a solo guy. The explanations at the beginning are fast and there’s a lot of them but they summarize the most important parts for you. They then give you ample time to prepare in the pool. Going out the water and the reef are amazing, just remember to breath slow to conserve oxygen, not because you’re gonna drown but because running low cuts the fun short! You may end up in a group with more experienced divers, as well, you’ll all be doing the same thing which is helpful to see people who know what they’re doing
Our family (2 adults and 2kids) had an absolutely incredible experience here! We did the Open Water Discovery course, which included a pool session and two ocean dives. The instructors were exceptionally patient and professional, making sure our kids felt safe and comfortable every step of the way. Exploring the Cancun reefs for the first time was magical, and the team’s passion for the ocean really rubbed off on us. We loved it so much that we’ve decided to complete our full certification back home! If you're looking for a safe, fun, and professional diving center in Cancun, look no further. This was the highlight of our trip. Highly recommended for families!
This was an amazing experience! The instructor was fantastic, super competent, kind and funny it was a pleasure spending the morning with him. This was only my second time scuba diving and he made me feel confident and safe. The pool instruction was great and then we went on a boat with other groups to two dive sights. The experience of being underwater in the most beautiful coral reef was just indescribable. If you’re at all interested, please try this experience in particular with A’ Ha’ Scuba as they were fantastic. The photos I got were also amazing and I was in a super small group, only three of us, so it was fun bonding with the others and sharing an awesome experience. My only advice would be to take some Dramamine if you get sea sick as the sea was pretty rocky. Otherwise, don’t miss out if this is something you’ve been wanting to try, this is the perfect beginner experience! Thank you so much A’ Ha’!
This is an amazing opportunity to touch the underwater world without any verification. Or Costa +30$ from the same certified divers trip, but covers initial session and skill verification in the pool. I am certified divers and I brought my 13yo daughter to dive with Marin and Carolina. Everything was 5*, including the initial training, boat, entry, tank switch, little care like mask antifog soap spray, etc. I dove with Marin in cenotes, MUSA, and will dive more in my next time in Cancun.
My second time diving with this company in Cancun and it was even better than the first which i didnt think possible. Seen a turtle on both dives. Worth every penny. You wont regret it.

Unbelievable experience! This whole thing exceeded every expectation I had. Marin and Carolina were outstanding—professional, patient, and really great at getting us prepped and confident before the dive. I’d never scuba‑dived before, so I was a mix of nervous and excited, but after going through the training in the pool, I knew I was in good hands. Marin captured some incredible footage of our dive, and it was worth every penny. I still have people telling me how amazing it looked. If you’re on the fence about doing this, trust your gut and go for it. It’s a total thrill and something I still can’t stop thinking about—even a month later.
Our guide went out of his way to find wildlife under rocks with a flashlight. Also a very funny presentation for the basic scuba skills. I've been diving for 40 years but haven't been for a few years so it was a great refresher. Store your stuff at the beginning of the boat trip or use a waterproof sack to keep things dry.
Marin and Carolina were amazing. I was so nervous to dive, it was my first time. Marin made it easy from the start. He made sure the instructions were clear and that I understood. Carolina watched my belongings while we went out as I was alone. Once in the water Marin made sure I was comfortable and ready to go. He pointed out all the coolest sea animals, and took pictures for me and of me! When they learned I was getting a taxi to the mall they offered to drop me off as it was on there way! Thank you so much for an amazing first experience Scuba diving. I will be back with you guys!
They were amazingly flexible when SEVERE flooding near the hotel zone delayed my transport to the site. Instruction and practice in the pool were extremely helpful and informative. As a first timer, I felt safe and amazed by the experience during the two real dives. Photo and videos were a wonderful keepsake (additional fee). Highly recommend if you're interested in trying scuba diving.
Amazing experience. I was nervous as I have a fear of the ocean/sharks but I was put at ease and received great training in the pool. It was like another world down there and saw a turtle.
Fantastic! Highly recommend as a family adventure!! Small group size was a bonus. Our family of 4 (kids are 12 & 14) decided to do a beginner scuba dive, and while 2 weren’t able to complete the dive, us other two had an amazing time! Marine and his crew were knowledgeable and ensured we were educated in the pool before heading out on the boat. My husband and daughter attempted to dive but she her ears wouldn’t cooperate. The crew onboard made sure they didn’t miss out, and supplied snorkel equipment. They managed to follow us from the surface and Marine was able to get a family photo of my son and I on the ocean floor with them snorkelling above. We saw a ton of colourful fish, a manatee and an army of lobsters! We also had a barracuda checking us out. MUSA was amazing and we loved all the different sea life that had made it home. Do take note that if you think you may get sea sick, take some anti nausea meds with you.
Marin & Carolina right from the start were super kind and knowledgeable about everything regarding scuba diving. It was my first time ever doing this and I couldn't have gone without going with A' HA. Marin knew the science behind the measurements and procedures of scuba diving. There was two dives we did and both of them were awesome! Highly recommend, wonderful team!
Our guide was absolutely amazing! It was a great experience regardless of having little scuba experience (we had none) or having much (others had lots). My wife struggled with the pressure in her ears, but the guide helped her take the descent nice and slow so she was still able to enjoy the adventure. The instructor spoke clearly and we easily learned the scuba basics. Safety was a top priority!!
Unfortunately, I had to withdraw from my dive due to stomach issues which started in the pool (at Hotel Sotavento which is behind the Hotel Calypso) as our great instructor was training us. He was very nice to me and hoped I could take the boat ride to see the view. Since the boat did not have a bathroom, I decided not to go. Good thing I did not go on the boat as I experienced minor diarrhea after walking back to my nearby hotel. Carolina was very kind and suggested a nearby pharmacy and to use the larger women's bathroom in the hotel. I will book again next year to give it another try.
Awesome experience! Stayed under water for a total of 105 minutes. I’m a nervous first timer but Marin is very patient. He’s also a professional underwater photographer. Definitely recommend their photo services. They prepared energy bar, bandaid (I had a small blister before arriving), and water. Just take some motion sickness pills, arrive on time and enjoy!
Awesome experience. Both Marin and Carolina were really kind and welcoming. Firstly we went through the basic of scuba diving and how each tool works. The explanation was extremely clear. Next we stayed for an hour or so inside the pool, praticing the basic stuff, with Marin guiding us the whole time, giving tips and observing. At last we went to the diving spots and did two +- 30-40 minutes dives. Marin accompanied us in both of them, showing hidden animals with his lantern, paying attention to details and adjusting equipment/techniques. Later on we had access to a few pictures/videos of the experience for free and, if we wanted, we could've payed 40 US dollars for a lot more picutres. Overall, strongly recommend.

Amazing experience of scuba diving with Marin & Carolina! Saw tons of different fishes and other sea creatures. Very good guide, would be nice to check more on people following inside the water though.
The guy who was bringing us down there was so patient with our group and ways to talk to. Such a great experience. So much marine life down there and he takes time to show you all of it.

This was by far our most beloved Cancún excursion for our honeymoon. Very thorough instructions & great practice time in the pool getting acclimated to the equipment. The two dives are AMAZING we saw a nurse shark, octopus, sting rays, morale eel, puffer fish, and an assortment of tropical fish. It was the most memorable activity for our whole trip. The crew is so helpful and very well organised. You feel well looked after to just enjoy your scuba time. I have recommended this excursion & A’ha scuba to everyone we meet.
Had a fabulous diving experience with Marin. He went thru all the essential info clearly and patiently answered all my questions and told me all the tricks i needed to know before my first dive!!! He knows the area well enough and showed me many beautiful hidden creatures. He ensured i’m doing okay thru out the 2 dives! 💯 recommended.

We had such a fun time doing this! Carolina and Marin were so friendly and knowledgeable! The different sites were super neat and we saw so much cool marine life! The only thing is the training session was fairly short (I understand staying on schedule due to the boat, other people, etc.) but my boyfriend had never scuba dived before so unfortunately he wasn’t comfortable doing it in the ocean so he sat in the boat while I went. Other than that, I had a great experience and some amazing photos!

We went for the beginner scuba diving experience. Our instructor and support team were friendly, funny and highly experienced. We started off with training in the swimming pool, which was very helpful and our instructor was patient. Once we were ready we went to the open water sites. The sites were beautiful and had fascinating sea life which our instructor was pointing out. Even in the open water our instructor was there with us every moment and made sure we were safe and comfortable. As a first time scuba diver I had so much fun. We did two dives, one at the museum and the other at the coral reef. My instructor (I forgot her name) was from Argentina, she was so friendly and patient. I was so scared and had so much anxiety but she was very patient with me and even in the water she triple checked on us to make sure we were good. I have the best videos and photos. I wish I could upload the video we have swimming with a turtle. It was such a great experience.
We went for the 2 tank scuba diving experience for beginners and it was amazing. Our instructor and the support staff were funny, friendly and very knowledgeable. The format of having a trial and practice in the swimming pool and then in the open water was very helpful. Our instructor was patient and took plenty of time for you to be comfortable and ready. The diving locations and the sea life there were beautiful. Once in the open water too our instructor was there with us helping every moment and was spotting the fascinating sea life for us. Because of our instructor's assistance it felt very easy and relaxing. If you have never done scuba diving and want to try it these are the people to go with for sure. Our trip diving was great. I took two boys, 18 and 20, and since they had never gone diving before we did the beginner class. Lorena was our guide was very helpful. It didn’t take long in the pool and we were out in the ocean. Lorena had a good eye for finding eels, stingrays, lobster, and of course a lot of beautiful fish. The boys loved it and want to go diving again.
