Definitely worth it for the price point. I had such a great time. The rooms were spacious and gorgeous! The service was above and beyond. I have to give a shoutout to Omar in the diamond beach club. He made sure we had our beach chairs, umbrellas, and towels ready for us every single morning! He was phenomenal! My girl Ana made sure we always had food and drinks on deck the entire day on the beach! They were the dream team! Housekeeping was TOP TEIR! I will absolutely be back again! My only critique is how long it takes to catch an elevator. And the elevators are small and don't have A/C. So they get really hot.

Our stay at Royalton CHIC Cancun from June 27 through July 4 was absolutely wonderful and exceeded our expectations for our first trip to Cancun. The resort itself is stunning, situated on a gorgeous stretch of powdery white sand and crystal-clear turquoise water. The entire property was impeccably clean and well maintained. Aside from the occasionally slow elevators, everything was in excellent condition. The pools were incredible, and we especially loved the comfortable beach loungers and umbrellas that made it easy to spend entire days relaxing by the ocean. While the resort is beautiful, what truly made our vacation unforgettable was the staff. Every interaction left us feeling genuinely welcomed and appreciated. Our butlers, Gil and Luis, were simply exceptional. They were professional, attentive, knowledgeable, and seemingly everywhere at just the right moment. As first-time visitors to Cancun, we relied on their recommendations and advice throughout our stay, and they never steered us wrong. They worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure every detail of our vacation was perfect, and their kindness and dedication elevated our entire experience. The outstanding service didn't stop there. Alexander from the Vibe Team brought so much energy and enthusiasm to every activity, making each day more fun than the last. Carlos and Eduin at the Diamond Club pool provided outstanding service and somehow managed to keep everyone smiling, even during the hottest afternoons. At the buffet, Abraham and Christopher greeted us like old friends every morning and made every meal feel special through their warmth and genuine hospitality. The food was perhaps the only aspect that didn't completely wow us. It was good, but not quite at the same level as the rest of the experience. Fortunately, the extraordinary service, beautiful resort, endless activities, and incredible atmosphere more than made up for it. This was a magical mother-daughter vacation that we'll remember for years. The people at Royalton CHIC Cancun transformed a beautiful resort into an unforgettable experience. We left with wonderful memories, new friends, and every intention of returning. Thank you to everyone at Royalton CHIC Cancun for making our first visit to Mexico so special. We can't wait to come back!
I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Royalton CHIC Cancun, especially considering this trip was to celebrate my husband and my first wedding anniversary. What should have been a memorable and special occasion turned into one of the most disappointing resort experiences I’ve ever had. My frustration actually began before we even arrived. On June 20, I reached out to the hotel regarding anniversary amenities. After multiple attempts to get assistance, Front Office Manager Daniel Mendez finally responded on July 2, assuring me that Guest Services Agent Damian Gomora would send me a catalog of options available to help make our anniversary special. That never happened. No one followed up, no one reached out, and the promise was simply forgotten. We specifically booked the Diamond Club experience because it advertised personalized concierge and butler service. Unfortunately, that was another promise that went unfulfilled. During our entire stay, no concierge or butler ever proactively reached out to introduce themselves, check on us, assist with reservations, or offer any of the personalized services that are advertised as part of the Diamond Club experience. It left us wondering what exactly we paid the premium for. After traveling all morning, we finally arrived only to have our check-in experience start off poorly. We were given the wrong room number, forcing us to haul our luggage back downstairs to correct a mistake that should never have happened. Despite the hotel knowing we were celebrating our anniversary well in advance, it was never acknowledged. There wasn’t a handwritten note, a balloon, a banner, or even a simple “Happy Anniversary.” The complete lack of effort was incredibly disappointing after weeks of communication leading up to our stay. The rest of the trip only got worse. The food throughout the resort was consistently overcooked, bland, and lacked flavor. Our room’s garment steamer was broken, and housekeeping made little effort to create a welcoming atmosphere even something as basic as greeting guests while passing in the hallways seemed nonexistent. As Diamond Club guests, we also expected a premium experience, yet the Diamond Club pool bar was repeatedly out of premium liquor. To make matters worse, nearly every time we stepped onto the main floor, someone was trying to sell us upgrades, vacation club memberships, spa packages, or excursions. Instead of feeling like valued guests on vacation, we felt like we were constantly being targeted for another sales pitch. This was, without question, the worst resort experience I’ve had in Cancún. The lack of communication, broken promises, poor service, mediocre food, repeated inconveniences, and complete failure to acknowledge such an important milestone left us feeling overlooked and unappreciated. Royalton had every opportunity to make our first anniversary memorable. Instead, it became an experience we’ll remember for all the wrong reasons. I am deeply disappointed and will not be returning to any Royalton property. I also cannot recommend this resort to anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion. For a resort that markets itself as a luxury, all-inclusive experience, it failed on nearly every level.
This hotel was a huge disappointment from the moment I arrived. I checked in at the advertised check-in time, only to be told my room wasn’t ready. Nothing starts a vacation off worse than sitting in a hot lobby waiting for a room that should have already been available when the place isn’t even busy. The food was well below average, and the elevators are painfully slow—it regularly takes 5–10 minutes just to get one. They’re also not air-conditioned, making the wait even more uncomfortable in Cancun’s heat. I have Marriott elite status and paid extra for the Diamond package, but several of the amenities I paid for weren’t even available. The rooftop pool was closed, there were no events, and many of the benefits I paid extra for couldn’t be used. Even the in-room toiletries, like the shower gel, felt cheap. Overall, the hotel feels warm, as a sticky sauna. Due to the lack of air conditioning in common areas makes the experience dreadful. The one bright spot during my stay was the butler service. The butler assigned to my room was excellent—professional, attentive, and genuinely helpful. They provided the level of service I expected from a premium resort and were easily the highlight of my stay. Unfortunately, one exceptional employee couldn’t make up for the overall experience. There are many outstanding hotels in Cancun, and based on my stay, I would choose one of those instead. Your vacation shouldn’t begin by waiting in a hot lobby for a room that wasn’t ready, only to discover that several of the amenities you paid extra for aren’t even available.
