The members only part is total load of crap. Anyone gets drinks in the members part- the food is all the same for the most part- The reservations for nice places to eat is impossible to get a reservation- book excursions prior- The rooms have lots of issues. They are not handicap friendly or celiac friendly what so ever like they said. The amount of money we spent to stay here seems crazy since cancun is so cheap- staff was helpful with parents. Staff did make effort and they work hard. Front desk is not on same page as the rest of the staff- pool closes at 7! Can't walk the beach after 9. They will scream at you- and force you off due to the turtles- they were trying to push us away from the wall up on the resort to not see them.

For the price, there are better resorts that offer more activities. Half the umbrellas on the beach are broken. It Took 10 visits to the blue shirts and front desk to get reservations. Once the people in blue shirts realize they can’t sell you on the time share they ignore you when you ask for help. The app they require to view activities and make reservations sucks. Front desk guy was supposed to make reservations and call back but never did. The food is the most mediocre food I’ve ever had at a resort. Hot tub in the room look like it hadn’t been cleaned in months.
We traveled to Cancún from May 15 to May 21, and we stayed at the Royal Solaris, and we had a very good experience. The room was spacious, cozy and clean, with a good size balcony and a jacuzzi. The food is good and the hotel grounds are clean. The personnel made us feel like if we were at home, the person who did the check in was very charming and kind. I'd like to give special thanks to Manuel Flores he's a waitress at the Las Fuentes restaurant, to Edgar the person that makes the omelets always in a good mood and positive. To Antonio and Angel Chan very friendly waitresses, to Yomila the hostess always with a smile, to Sra. Tommy always ready to help out and to Esau the person that keep our room clean, thank you all. For people like this we'll come back to this hotel. In general all the employees are friendly. If you're looking for a place to stay don't look any further give Royal Solaris the chance to serve you, you won't regret.
4 out of 5 stars based on the price I paid. Normally, all-inclusive resorts in this area of Cancun can cost significantly more, so I think this place offers decent value for the money. A few things I’d recommend bringing with you: your own shampoo/conditioner, toothbrush and toothpaste, flip-flops, and a tablet or device for entertainment because the TVs are outdated and don’t support apps like Netflix or Prime Video. The hotel could definitely use some upkeep. My bathroom door wouldn’t close properly, the sink drained very slowly, and the elevator next to my room broke during my stay, which led to loud maintenance work all afternoon. There was also ongoing construction/work in the lobby area throughout all 5 days of our stay. The food is decent if you eat everything, but for vegetarians or halal eaters, it can be difficult. There’s a lot of cross contamination the same hands were used when handling beef, chicken, pork, and vegetables, and the same cooking surfaces were used for meat and non meat items like omelets. I didn't see not one paid of gloves there. There are vegetarian options available, but they are somewhat limited. That said, despite the issues, I would still recommend this hotel for a shorter stay because the views are beautiful, the property is clean overall, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Personally, I probably wouldn’t stay here for an entire trip again 2, 3 days would be ideal. After that, it can start to feel repetitive since there isn’t much to do besides the pool and food, and the entertainment options are fairly limited.
I stayed here from 29th Jan to 5th February. This is a beautiful hotel, with a luxurious feel and beautiful scenery. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Breakfast had to be my favourite meal, particularly Edgar, who makes the most amazing Omelettes. Then wait staff like Alfredo are very helpful and thoughtful, knowing what you’re drinking or need before you even ask at times. Dinner was hit and miss, mainly because I expected more authentic Mexican options but it felt catered very much to Americans. I also have to agree with someone else’s review that a lot of wait staff seemed miserable, like they didn’t want to serve you or have time and then would be delightful with others of fairer skin tone, which can be off putting, especially as I have never had that experience in Mexico before at other hotels I’ve stayed in. I found bar staff to be very friendly and engaging. The entertainment staff are great in keeping things fun during lunch as well as updating on events and activities and are just so vibrant, fun and friendly. The lady who cleaned my room was so cheerful, sweet and made the most beautiful animals and designs in my bedding and towels. There is definitely a high standard of cleanliness at this hotel. Overall I’ll give this hotel a 7.5/10 and say that the miserable staff definitely let this hotel down. However, I’d return here in the future. I also didn’t give a 10 as authentic food is important and one of the reason I love Mexico, so it was disappointing not to have access to this more abundantly.
