This is a small old resort in à great location. Beach is fantastic. Rooms are clean and have ccomfortable beds. As far as food goes, you get what you pay for. I believe it’s a very good value for the price. Ileana at Azul restaurant is an awesome food server. And Jorge, Yeseli and the chef are genuinely interested in making our experience memorable and so is Luis at Almar restaurant. We’ll stay here again for a budget all inclusive.

Do not recommend. Completely ruined vacation. Seaweed was supposedly removed every day, but only at 9:00 a.m. (why not before the beach opens?). Worse, on the day when an enormous amount of seaweed washed ashore, they didn’t clean it at all. The neighboring hotels had their beaches cleaned, but Oleo did not. The food was poor, the beds had plastic mattress protectors that made sleeping uncomfortable. The rooms were dirty, and housekeeping was provided only once every two days. The pool staff do not even think about helping guests open or move umbrellas, yet they start closing and putting everything away at 5:00 p.m., even though the pool area is officially open until 7:00 p.m. And if you decide to swim in the pool at 9:00 a.m., be prepared to share it with the pool cleaner. Apparently, they cannot do this before guests arrive—they have to do it while everyone is using the pool. There are also only four outdoor tables belonging to the restaurant. The bar itself has no tables at all, which means there is essentially nowhere to sit and enjoy a glass of wine while looking out at the ocean. Overall, this hotel shows very little attention to guest comfort and provides a disappointing experience that falls far below expectations.
I stayed here for my birthday january of last year & my stay was absolutely EVERYTHING !!! i’m so happy i decided to stay here. the staff are very friendly & they actually like their jobs. the omelettes are good i had one every morning for breakfast. the fruit is good & fresh & i love the fact the resort is so close to everything, literally just a short bus ride away. the pool is nice they have a dj by the pool, the resort is connected directly to the beach as well. they welcome you with champagne & gave me one along with some macaroons for my birthday. thank you!! i miss this resort everyday, & i’d recommend them to anyone. it’s very safe & you can also see the sunset & sunrise as pictured right from your balcony. thank you oleo for such a memorable birthday experience 💋🏝️
Not a fan at all of this place. Very outdated hotel. Everything needed updating. Cracked tiles, dirty room windows, all the furniture looked hand me down. Either chips on the furniture or lop-sided furniture. Very disappointed on the food as well. This place shouldn't be a representation of mexico at all. We stayed at other resorts and the food was amazing. This place out of 5 stars is a 2.3. Nothing Mexican about it. The alcohol was not top or middle shelf. It was all bottom shelf liquor. You can tell this place makes sure they pinch every way they can. There is not entertainment at night at all!! Thank god we didn't bring our son. Its not a kid friendly resort. No activities and really there isnt anything to do but eat food that I wouldn't feed anyone I knew and to drink bottom shelf liquor. Upon checking out at 12pm, we handed in our bracelets and were told if we wanted to enjoy the hotel till the bus came we would have to pay an additional $11 per person. That made us laugh 😃.. and literally told them your food and drinks is not worth the $11 each. Hopefully we would enjoy one last meal at the airport and hopefully it'll be more Mexican that this place.
This hotel is so bad 😭 I wish I’d listened to the reviews, but I hoped for the price it’d be fine. The location is fine and it smells great when you enter. The beach is nice and all of the waiters were really lovely. Apart from that is was so bad haha. There are random really bad smells throughout the hotel, I think there’s issues with the plumbing as the sinks kept blocking too. The rooms need a deep clean, they were really quite dirty around the edges. The shower pressure is terrible. Generally the food was really bad. We had fries at the pool bar and they were cold and floppy. The buffet is quite small for such a big hotel, with very few vegetarian options. I wanted an omelette but they were frying bacon on the same surface. Also all of the drinks weren’t very nice, weak and we were served warm bottles of water. Lots of the food was cold and just not good quality. The room was too hot and the AC didn’t really work. We asked for late check out when we checked in as we had a late flight, and they told us to call in the morning. We called at 8am and were told it wasn’t possible (our flight wasn’t until 8pm…). I questioned it and all of a sudden it was possible, but the lady was really rude about it. It cost us $60 for 4 extra hours! We were also rudely told ‘you need to come down and pay for it urgently’ as if we weren’t going to pay… We tried to go back to the room at 1pm after we paid at 9am and we were locked out anyway and had to go back to the desk AGAIN to get our wristbands extended. Overall the place needs new management and a big refresh.
