The room was very clean. I had a great housekeeper named Reyna she is amazing and so sweet. The staff was helpful when asked questions. The beach view was great from the balcony. I DO NOT RECOMMEND the upgrade from Krystal Grand and Altitude there is not much difference. In the 5 days that I stayed there I was not able to get a reservation for the French restaurant that only altitude has access to and the altitude only pool was not enforced as only altitude. I saw people with other color bands in there. The bar in the altitude building didn't have a bartender at all times. We had to wait for them to call him. Bar was open from 11-9pm. If we wanted to go to another bar we had to wait a while to get a drink and when you did majority were watered down or lacked flavor. The altitude bar had the best drinks when you were able to get one. Altitude had access to only the Buffet and 3 restaurants. 4 with the one we were never able to get a reservation in. I thought we would have priority at bars and dinner reservations since we reserved with altitude but that was not the case. There is also no night life at all. Dj for only 2 hours or Karaoke. You would have to leave resort if you wanted night life. The food at the restaurants were good for the most part, but very limited menus at all locations. A lot of the food was just repeat food.

Me and my mum came here for a little 10 day getaway and it was a much needed time away. Super lovely staff here and rooms were spacious and clean. Key part was dining at the Risotto restaurant, where we were served by the amazing and lovely Cesar, he was so attentive and could Not do enough for us with a massive smile on his face which put a big one on ours. He made us want to come back more and more. ams the food was absolutely lovely (forgot to get pictures of our mains)
My friends and I recently stayed at Krystal Grand Cancun to celebrate one of my closest friend's bachelorette trip, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. As self-proclaimed workaholics who are used to packed schedules and fast-paced travel, this trip was exactly the reset we needed. It gave us the chance to slow down, relax, and be fully present, and Krystal Grand Cancun was the perfect place to do that. The resort's situated in an ideal, safe, prime location. It's just a short walk from Cancun's entertainment district, including Coco Bongo, restaurants, bars, shopping, and local markets. La Isla Shopping Village is also nearby. That said, the resort offers so much that there's hardly a reason to ever leave. The property is beautiful, with multiple pools, private beach access, and stunning turquoise water. The dining options were impressive, offering everything from authentic Mexican cuisine to sushi, hibachi, Italian dishes, and classic Western favorites. Whether lounging by the pool, walking the beach, or enjoying a meal, it was easy to unwind and recharge. What truly made our stay exceptional, however, was the staff. Every employee we encountered was warm, professional, attentive, and genuinely committed to creating memorable experiences for guests. At the snack bar, Osvaldo and Jose quickly became favorites. They remembered our orders, checked in on us regularly, and consistently went above and beyond. Osvaldo was especially attentive, often anticipating our needs before we asked, while always bringing positive energy, a smile, and a sense of fun to the pool area. At the buffet, Alex, Luis, Jeovany, and Brandon provided excellent service. We were also wonderfully taken care of by Diana and Aaron at The Grill, Alejandro at Ayami, and Miguel at Risotto. No matter where we dined, the service was consistently outstanding. Because we were celebrating a bachelorette trip, the staff frequently surprised our friend with thoughtful touches, including celebratory drinks, desserts, cakes, and moments that made the trip feel even more special. We also enjoyed massages at the Beach House Spa with Jacqueline, Amber, and Consuelo. The spa was beautiful, relaxing, and professionally run, and the treatments left us feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. A special shoutout goes to the entertainment team, Sahay and Sebastian, who brought incredible energy to the resort every day. Their aqua aerobics and Zumba classes became a highlight of our trip. Their enthusiasm was contagious, and they created a fun, welcoming atmosphere that encouraged everyone to participate. Sahay went above and beyond by helping arrange a surprise celebration for our friend on our final day. Along with her manager, she organized drinks, a cake by the pool, and even a bouquet toss, which easily became one of the most memorable moments of the entire trip and meant so much to our group. What stood out most throughout our stay was the culture among the staff. Everywhere we looked, employees were smiling, laughing, dancing to the music, and genuinely enjoying what they do. Their positivity felt authentic and created an atmosphere that was welcoming, uplifting, and memorable. Overall, Krystal Grand Cancun exceeded every expectation. Between the beautiful property, excellent food, outstanding service, and unforgettable experiences, it was a trip my friends and I will never forget. I would happily recommend this resort to anyone visiting Cancun and would return without hesitation. Thank you to the entire Krystal Grand Cancun team for making my friend's bachelorette celebration so special.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ 6/10 — Honest Review of Krystal Grand Cancún I want to give an honest review of my stay at Krystal Grand Cancún. This is based on my personal experience, and compared with other all-inclusive resorts I’ve stayed at. 👍 THE GOOD Staff — 10/10 ❤️ No questions about this. The staff were friendly, approachable and generally very nice. Many employees genuinely tried to make our stay enjoyable. Beach — 10/10 🏖️ Beautiful beach and very close to the hotel. One of the best parts of the property. Drinks — 🍹 No complaints The liquor and drinks were good, and there was no issue there. 👎 THE NOT-SO-GOOD Food — 4/10 🍽️ This was probably my biggest disappointment. The food had very little variety, and it felt like we were eating the same things repeatedly. The first day was okay, but by the following days, we were honestly getting tired of it. My partner and I also experienced diarrhea during our last three days of the trip. I can’t say with certainty what caused it, but we personally had concerns about the food. We even encountered chicken that appeared undercooked, and I have photos documenting what we saw. For an all-inclusive resort, I expected much better food quality and variety. Room service — disappointing There were times when we couldn’t order food through room service until 1 PM. If you’re hungry earlier, you basically have to go down to the pool area. For me, that’s the whole point of room service — you shouldn’t have to leave your room just to get food. Unexpected charge 💰 At one point, I was asked to pay a charge for room service. I questioned it because we booked an all-inclusive package. After asking about it, the situation was clarified. Still, guests shouldn’t have to question whether something is included when they’ve paid for an all-inclusive stay. Elevators — 2/10 🛗 These seriously need attention. The elevators were extremely slow, and sometimes it felt like it took forever just to get up or down. This is especially frustrating in a large hotel. This isn’t just my experience either—recent guest reviews have also mentioned slow or problematic elevators. (Tripadvisor) Room — 4/10 Our room had a strong old/musty smell, even after trying to freshen it up. There were also several items missing from the room. I had to call the front desk to request things that were supposed to be included, such as the bathrobe and slippers. The room simply didn’t feel like the level of resort I expected. Telephone — ❌ Our room telephone didn’t work for three days, even after requesting that it be fixed. Again, these are small things individually, but when several things aren’t working during a vacation, they start adding up. 🏨 OVERALL For me, this was not a 5-star vacation experience. The beautiful beach and friendly staff definitely helped, but the food, room condition, slow elevators, room-service limitations and maintenance issues affected our overall experience. I’ve stayed at other all-inclusive resorts, and honestly, I expected more from Krystal Grand Cancún. I would say this hotel is probably better suited for families and people travelling with kids who want a convenient beachfront location and plenty of activities. For a couple looking for a more relaxing, higher-end all-inclusive experience, I would personally choose another resort next time. My rating: ⭐ 6/10 Beautiful beach. Friendly staff. Good drinks. But unfortunately, the overall experience wasn’t enough for me to want to return. This is just my honest experience. Everyone’s stay can be different.
My wife and I travelled to Cancún to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary and stayed at the Krystal Grand Cancún. From the moment we entered the hotel, we were impressed by its striking open-air atrium. Looking upward from the lobby, we could see the curved balconies rising from floor to floor, decorated with hanging greenery and crowned by a beautiful geometric glass skylight that filled the space with natural light. After spending our first night in the main Krystal Grand section, and following some encouragement from the hotel staff, especially Luis, we decided to join the membership program and moved to the Altitude Tower. The tower offered a more exclusive and relaxing experience, with comfortable accommodations and upgraded amenities. The view from our room was one of the highlights of our stay. From our balcony, we could look down over the hotel’s beautiful blue swimming pools, palm trees, lounge areas, and landscaped grounds. Beyond the pools was the white sandy beach and the turquoise Caribbean Sea stretching along the Cancún coastline. It was a wonderful view to wake up to every morning. Our concierge, Jessy, was extremely helpful throughout our stay. She arranged our restaurant reservations every evening and always made sure we were well taken care of. We had the opportunity to dine at all the hotel’s restaurants and enjoyed the variety of international cuisine. from Italian food at Risotto and French cuisine at Le Délice to the specialties at The Grill. Our favourite was Ayami, with its wonderful selection of Japanese, Thai, Chinese, and Indian dishes. The food and overall dining experience there were fantastic. My only constructive feedback for Ayami concerns the overall theme. Although it is presented as a mixed-Asian restaurant, the décor and music seemed mainly inspired by traditional Chinese culture, while many of the dishes appeared to be Japanese. If the intention is to represent a variety of Asian cuisines, it might be more fitting to incorporate a balanced fusion of Asian décor and music that better reflects the restaurant’s diverse menu. Overall, the staff were friendly, attentive, and welcoming. I can usually recognize when employees are simply going through the motions. However, many of the team members at Krystal Grand appeared genuinely happy in their work and sincere in the service they provided. Elizabeth Orea at The Grill particularly stood out and made our experience there very enjoyable. We used the infinity pool nearly every day and loved its beautiful oceanfront setting. I also reserved one of the beachfront cabanas, which gave us a comfortable and relaxing place to enjoy the beach and the wonderful Cancún scenery. Krystal Grand helped make our 40th wedding anniversary a memorable and enjoyable celebration. We truly appreciated the hospitality and the efforts of everyone who made our stay so special.
