To be fair, ALL staff serving guests at this resort were fantastic. (Not including the member sales guy who we dealt with - wouldn't give us a bottom line price unless we said we wanted to purchase a membership. Another sales member finally did). But mgmt of the overall restaurants was poor. The specialty restaurants were closed except for a random one most nights, and we were told when checking in that we could only dine at a specialty restaurant 3 nights out of 6 nights we stayed. We only were able to get a reservation to dine at 2 of them, and only by asking the front desk multiple times in person to help get a reservation. Again, the front desk staff were excellent. Not the mgmt behind the scenes. And the online reservation system for specialty dining didn't work. Plus honestly the food is not great at any venue except breakfasts were okay. Thumbs up on evening entertainment team dancers!!! Only wish they performed longer than 20-30 minutes! The resort has potential to be better, hope the mgmt team takes note.

Place was nice. Food is okay could be better. What I didn't like was that the receptionist told us to tip the room service people everytime we called them. Then when we were checking out, they told us we had a charge and that we were suppose to pay downstairs!! Unbelievable... it was a guy, didn't get his name you'll know when u see him. so when you're checking in and mention room SERVICE DO NOT tip the people and don't let him convince you, pay downstairs ( you can though if u like ) But besides that the hotel is pretty. Nice activities.
I think the only thing I like here is the food. The food is very good. But except that, almost nothing was good. - After you checked in, they will ask whether you’d like to join a sales presentation. It took a while for them to explain it to you. We did because they gave us some gift of a tour. But they never mentioned the tour has two shopping stops which cost 1.5h-2h. Ask for more details on what you will get. Also some sales guy was very rude. ( ours is good ). But this experience is very bad to me. - The air conditioner was extremely noisy. It’s not just loud but like turn on and off very frequently with big sound. - Our room also got broken in the middle of night. This is very scary. They did give us some limited compensation, but I’d rather not experiencing it. - One guy from the front desk was rude and talking like a cold machine. I lost a 100$ charger in the room and they told me they found it. And I was kept in the lobby for 15min and I still haven’t got it. And I end up giving it up because if you ask he will tell you to wait. No apologies. I highly regret come here for my vocation. It’s kind of ruined it. Suggestions: if you are sensitive to noise, maybe come here on the day when air conditioner is not need.
We had a great overall stay at GR Solaris Caribe and would recommend it for a relaxing getaway, rating it around a 4/5 overall. One of the biggest highlights was our room—we had a private plunge pool right outside our door overlooking the ocean, which was honestly a game changer. The main pool felt pretty crowded for the number of guests (and people “reserving” chairs at 6am and not coming back until 10am… just rude lol), so having our own space made the experience so much more enjoyable. Even better, bartenders Lupita and Marya would come around to the plunge pools to check on us and serve drinks—they were absolutely LOVELY and truly elevated our stay. The only downside to the plunge pool setup is that there aren’t partitions between pools, so privacy can be limited if you have neighbors right next to you. Outside of that, the rooms themselves were excellent—clean, comfortable, and well-maintained (5/5). The staff overall were friendly and attentive, and we felt safe the entire time, with transportation around Cancun being easy to navigate. Food and drinks were decent but a bit inconsistent (around 3–3.5/5), and the check-in process could definitely be improved—it wasn’t clear what to do between arrival and official check-in time. The resort app was helpful but could use updates, especially with adding a map, amenity locations, and hours of operation. It would also be helpful to receive a map at check-in, especially with the layout and adjoining resorts, and for bars to offer a signature cocktail menu. Overall, it’s a solid resort with a lot going for it, and with a few small improvements, it could easily be an even better experience.
Nice hotel. Check in was very easy, you get a nice bracelet that has a chip in it. The resort is kept very clean and we always saw someone sweeping or tending to something. They were even keeping up with the painting on the building. The Caribe was recently updated and the rooms were very nice, clean, and everything was great except for the wifi in the room was really bad. The fridge was always stocked with water and beers. The cleaning staff were always great handing out extra water bottles. Pool: There is only one pool on the Caribe side and it's complimented by two large hot tubs. I believe the pool/hot tubs are closed after 6pm, not sure if that's normal or not... They were always clean, and quiet during the day. Unfortunately there is some strange system where you have to get down to claim your lounge chairs early in the morning or they will literally all be taken up. There were even chairs that were claimed that no one ever used which the resort should really do something about. Beach: The beach is great, we never didnt have an option for a lounge chair. It was all red flagged on our side of the beach but most of the beach was during our visit. There is a tractor in the morning that comes to adjust the washed up sea weed. Water was nice and warm. Food: This is where the resort falls short, and I'll include the Royal Solaris as you have access to both with the Caribe, and the Caribe doesn't have many options. The best we had was Bogavante, and this you can also have an A la Carte lunch at too. We ate also at the Italian and French restaurant ( Marco Polo) they were very underwhelming. I wont say the food was bad, but it certainly looked better than it tasted. They were very skimpy on ingredients. For instance a seafood bisque had like four muscles and two shrimp... A shrimp cocktail had like two cut up shrimp in it. Don't expect fine dining. Breakfast at Cafe Solaris was however very good and they put out a large assortment of local and western fare complimented by a large cheese and cold cuts board. We could never get into the Asian restaurant Bars: They're good! We never had to wait too long for a drink, they were always fresh made. Caribe had a speak easy kind of bar called MVP, and another one that's not on their site yet close to that that's open some nights, and even had live music at. Would consider going back if the price were better than we paid.
