Four Points By Sheraton Cancun Centro

My trip was for dental work and this hotel was 15min away from my dentist. My room is great, clean, huge bed, and a spacious tub. I love the breakfast at the Eatery, there's a huge variety. If you like Sports Bars there's one next door that seems nice and they also have spa service. The staff is extremely nice. Carla at the front desk went above and beyond to make sure I was content and was just as kind to my dog. I have zero complaints.

I encountered several issues with my room upon check in. This included mould, dust, and broken furniture. When requesting a new one, I was constantly given the runaround by front desk. When I tried to get a new room the same day, they just told me what I wanted to hear. They said it would be ready in a few hours, only to make excuses when the time came. This went on for two days before it was finally true. The place overall was dated, poorly maintained, and is in serious need of an upgrade. Most of the mugs they use for breakfast are chipped. The pool is nice but has several missing tiles, and the bar looked like it hadn't been repaired since the place opened. I appreciate the conversation and apology I received from the General Manager. That being said, almost every solution came with a new problem. While the new room was definitely cleaner, there were still some issues (e.g. all the lights didn't work). I was given a complimentary late checkout, but the staff weren't told about this. So even with the DND sign and deadbolt on the door, two cleaners tried to force their way into my room when I was sleeping. This was scary to experience as a woman traveling alone. Now I better understand why most of the guests were there on a business trip for 2-3 days at most. This place is not for anyone on vacation, and is below the typical standard of Marriott hotels. The front desk communicate well enough to get the job, but poorly handle issues that arise. They overcomplicate things that should be straightforward. On top of that, the location is far from anything worth doing in the city. I would not recommend it.

Location is very good in business concept ans maybe visiting sa city area. A bit diatance to the beach area but it's ok. Transporration is easy. We used Uber most of the time. The staff are nice. I enjoyed the breakfast selection. Bed is comfy but we had problem with the clog sink. We ask assistance. They clean but next day is still clog.

We were really impressed with the staff. Very helpful and pleasant. Room was comfortable and food in the main restaurant was very good. Rooftop pool is very nice with a great view. We would stay there again.
