Loved the hotel, the design, rooms are huge, service is very nice 👍🏼 amazing cafe with the view on the beach, sea is in one minute from your room if you stays on the first flour and have direct entrance to hotels garden and swimming pool. You literally live like in museum or on castle there! Building is kinda vintage but they are doing renovation. A lot of masterpieces everywhere. Every room has unique design, would recommend to switch rooms during your trip so you see and enjoy more details about the hotel. Also felt safe with the strict security there 👍🏼 A must-stay hotel if you want something special, spacious, calm, peaceful and definitely unique

We unfortunately did not have a good experience here. The only lights that worked in our room were the ones in the bathroom. And the sliding door to our room that leads outside did not lock; therefore, I did not feel safe leaving my things there because our room was on the first floor, leading straight to the pool. There are other things we did not enjoy in this hotel, so I would not recommend this place.
The hotel is an older hotel. The rooms could use a couple of upgrades such as the sink in the bathrooms need to be updated and the beds as they are super hard however the art gallery within the hotel is beautiful and the lady who gave us the tour Laura was amazing!!! The front staff and guards were always so kind. The restaurant in the hotel serves good food and the servers are very attentive especially Eduardo and the older gentleman!!! Would definitely be back due to the staff!!!
I can understand the one star reviews and the 5 star reviews as I had mixed feelings between both. The hotel is in bad conditions but it is also huge. If you are picky and like modern and newer hotels this may not be for you but if you like to enjoy the art the pool and the beach view then this is the place. Security guards are very rude though.
The place is fairly outdated, beds are like sleeping on wrinkled concrete and the restaurant/bar is lacking. There is a water station downstairs in the lobby (which staff was drinking from so I assume it’s good) The staff were all great! We stayed for 10 days. We were supposed to go to Hawaii but there were storms and flight cancellations so we last minute decided to go to Cancun and Casa Turquesa’s price point was appealing. The restaurant I believe is only open from 8-5. There is a pool bar that opens around noon for a while. This place definitely looks like it was the 💩 40+ years ago. All in all we had a great time! When we travel we don’t typically spend a lot of time in our rooms anyways. We did get to spend some time lounging around the pool and went down to the beach also to swim and just relax! EDIT: I did forget to mention that while we were there they were doing some concrete repairs and painting. The repair work did not impact our stay at all! During the course of our 10 day stay there were quite a few noticeable improvements! ALSO PLEASE NOTE! You can rent the lock for the safe in your room. There is a sign at check in.
