World Class Fishing Charter Trip In Tenerife

I have used Gavin Glen Fishing Tenerife times over the years, going out with my two younger boys and my dad, and we honestly couldn’t recommend Gavin enough! Both of my boys absolutely loved going out fishing with Gavin and it’s something they’ve always looked forward to. He is so friendly, patient and welcoming, and really made the trips enjoyable for everyone. It’s been lovely seeing the boys’ excitement and creating such great memories together as a family. Gavin is brilliant at what he does and makes you feel comfortable from the moment you step aboard. Whether you’re experienced or completely new to fishing, he makes sure everyone has a fantastic time. We’ve had some amazing days out over the years and wouldn’t hesitate to go with Gavin again. I would highly recommend Gavin to anyone visiting Tenerife. My kids can’t wait to come back again next year and they go fishing again.

He was an AWFUL host, absolutely NO social skills, takes you out without saying a word for 2 hours then once we still had no fish after 2 hours just sat watching him do it, I politely asked what’s the next steps to be met with attitude and told to be patient making all 6 people on board uncomfortable the rest of the journey. All he did was talk about his bad reviews and how he does all the work then go on to slag off hard working people in a factory saying he works harder but he’s glad he’s not one of those people. Awful experience and to think he charged me 88 euros. Please, please, please if you do this find someone that still has passion and knows how to entertain guests that are paying hard earns money! And he likes to shove tubes up the fished bum, he says it helps them deflate but once they reterned back into the sea, they were lifeless and chat GpT said there wasn’t even a need to do this.

This fishing trip was great. The person on the boat was very friendly and speaks English and Spanish very well. He was very experienced in fishing and has a very neat and tidy boat. Would definitely recommend if you are in Tenerife 👍

Arranged a fishing trip with pickup and drop off. With furia based in Las gallettas Tenerife.Using the get your guide app, pick up location, timings were sent via the app which was a 3 minute walk from my accommodation. Arrived 15 minute's early for a 1200 hrs pick up with details of vehicle make and colour. No sign of vehicle at 1200 hrs, waited an extra 30 minutes still no vehicle, returned to my accommodation. Contacted get your guide app explained the problem. £95 pounds out of pocket,recent reply 20% voucher on my next trip valid for two years. Not impressed

What an incredible experience! The whole trip was amazing from start to finish. The atmosphere was full of good vibes, and Gavin is an incredibly experienced fisherman who made the day both fun and unforgettable. I even caught a 20kg stingray, which was honestly one of the best experiences of my life! I learned a lot, had a fantastic time, and would definitely do this trip again. Highly recommended! 🎣🙌

I went out with my brother and a friend and a price was negotiated for a small party of 3.. I really enjoyed it even though we caught very little, We told Gavin we liked to catch things like red snapper and wahoo and were not really interested in big game fish. We met Gavin and his son Gavin Glen at the marina and set off at 0900. We went north up bthe coast to a reef just offshore where we were planning to catch the baitfish for the amberjack/red snapper wahoo we would have liked to catch. Gavin had just set up a tank and pump for this livebait but we only caught one and it died. However we did catch some lovely fish on the reef. They were some sort of wrasse and beautiful colours. One was blue and gold and another was jet black. They were not livebait. We also caught some parrot/puffer fish that were very small and not bait fish. For our final hour we went bottom fishin g for ray and dogfish. We did catch an eagle ray but pulling something up from 70 metres is not exciting. It is a nice boat and the new engine ws being run in so we did not go anywhere at high speed. We are all in our seventies and the other two in our party are very fit but I am the oldest at 75 nd getting unsteady on my feet. I was very impressed the way Gavin and his son made sure I boarded and disembarked safely. There was a nice toilet on board and beer if you wanted it. Gavin said it was unfortunate that the baitfish had not turned up and the species we fancied catching might have been caught on frozen squid. We still had a really good day. and Gavin and his son looked after us.

Awesome charter! My husband took our 10 year old son and he has so much fun. Captain Gavin was very courteous. They caught so many different fish. Highly recommend.

I took my 26 year old son on February 12 th for his birthday. I thought the trip was well over priced for what we received. When we arrived we were with another lady and her 3 young children. I felt that a trip such as this should have a minimum age of at least 12 for children, particularly as no life jackets were worn or even offered. The children on board were only 7 and twins of 9 , with a mother who admitted she couldn’t swim, so not exactly the people I wanted to be sharing a deep sea fishing trip boat with!! We caught just a few small fish, certainly not a “deep sea “ fishing experience that I was expecting. Glen , the skipper/owner, was not very helpful in giving us fishing tuition. As a beginner some advice and a brief tuition to start would have been nice, rather than having to keep asking for help when we had a problem or didn’t know what to do . He didn’t seem very interested during the whole trip, spending most of his time sat below deck on his phone. The weather got worse and waves quite choppy and all on board were starting to feel really unwell, not his fault but I think he should have maybe asked us if we were ok and did we want to cut the trip short and get back to land. I definitely would not recommend this trip.

I rang Gavin on what’s app and booked a trip he asked me what I wanted to fish for I said Amber Jack because I had never caught one before and i know they are in the waters around Tenerife so went on a trip with two other guys who had never fish before I have done a lot of sea fishing and we caught one. Gavin has a lot of experience and knows the waters well great guy new friend kind regards Glenn

Fantastic experience. My husband and son thoroughly enjoyed the 4 hour trip and my son was over the moon to catch a sting ray and baby shark. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend and we will be booking again for our trip in February.

We were very disappointed with this fishing trip. Our experience was similar to others who left low ratings. The captain may be experienced, but this trip was not enjoyable as a recreational fishing experience. We spent about two hours just moving around while the rods were left attached to the boat, with no visible fish on the sonar. We only had about 20 minutes of actual fishing near the shore, where we caught a few small fish. After that, we went back to deep waters with large waves, and most of the group felt sick. Our requests to return to shore were mostly ignored. The boat is quite small for a group of seven—only 3–4 people can fish at a time. The fishing equipment and life vests were in poor condition. Overall, this trip did not meet our expectations, and we would not recommend it for a fun, relaxed fishing experience.

Had a good morning session out on gavin and Glen. We didn't catch much but really enjoyed the company and got to share my experience with them as much as them sharing with me. Always good to share info amongst fellow anglers , never stop learning. I would defo go with them again but more likely a full day trip or private charter as then you have more time to target specific species, ie wahoo , tuna Amber's or bill fish . I also recognise that not every fishing trip is successful with regards to catch but always successful when meeting like minded people with shared interests that you could call a mate at the end of the day.

Lovely day out fishing 7 of us done this trip very knowledgeable captain who made us feel very welcome aswell caught some nice fish from little ones to big sting rays definitely do it again

Another great days fishing with Gavin, fishing in general around the world is challenging at the moment, buy we still catch fish with this skipper, I also noted a bad review on here saying the boat is ageing and untidy, I have to disagree with this, having been a boat owner for many years, I can honestly ( with years of boating experience) say, she is a fine and safe vessel, and is in very condition throughout. She also boasts a brand new 250hp Suzuki outboard. If you want a good days fishing, with an experienced skipper give this boat a try

Nothing special some cache. Not offered drinks but paid. It was bit uncomfortable and unfriendly experience. Anything else was ok

Gavin glen took us out we had an amazing time beers and snacks included and the experience and excellence of the guys we landed a tuna which we took home and ate. Absolute unreal experience and I’d recommend to anyone

Had 6 people on bout, 1 wasn't fishing at all and 2 others were sharing a rod most of the time. The group caught 7 fish in 4 hours, I cought 3, biggest one was like 10". Seemed like a nice guy but wasn't a productive or fun experience. I get you can have a bad day fishing but the captain basically said from the start we weren't going to catch much. Didn't have enough gear for everyone to fish, overall wasn't happy, would have rather just fished from the dock.

Gavin did everything he could to make this trip enjoyable for myself and my fiancée whole family has never been fishing before. He is a very knowledgeable bloke and gave us lots of information along with tips on where to visit on the island. Nothing was too much trouble for Gavin. He didn’t only offer one form of fishing but 3 separate types of fishing. Thank you for a great trip from Josh and Hannah.

Was a bit disappointed in this experience. We booked it for a morning trip but when we arrived no one was there. Gave Gavin a call and he didn’t have us down due to a computer error. No problem, it happens. So we arranged for the following afternoon. The trip itself was a disappointment. Gavin talked about how he keeps the cost down by not driving the boat very fast. We didn’t go very far offshore at all to do the actual fishing. The boat was overcrowded. If you are wanting an actual fishing experience this isn’t the excursion for you. If you want a nice day driving around slowly on a boat it was a nice time.

Gavin’s bout was having mechanical issues but he hooked me up with one of his friends at no additional charge. Fish were caught and good times were had. Great customer service! Thank you!

We had a fantastic afternoon fishing with Gavin. He was really friendly and provided snacks and drinks. He took us to some great fishing spots and my 16 year old son caught a small shark 🦈. Having was amazing and after a few snaps the shark was returned to the water. I would highly recommend Gavin if your in tenerife for a fishing trip.

Fished with Gavin many times have always caught good fish and will be going back ideal boat for small groups. Good friendly skipper .

Whilst the fishing on the day could have been better (no one can control the fish) Gavin is a great skipper with lots of great stories to tell. Unlike many skipper’s I have been out fishing with he really cares about your day out on the water. We were lucky enough to see pilot whales, catch a 25kg spotted ray and I was very grateful to Gavin for allowing me to helm the boat for a period of time - great fun as an experienced sailor - thank you. I will certainly go again when back in Tenerife Ps - good luck with the new engine, auto pilot and mini refit - I am sure that will enhance the experience of your guests even further

Great trip, incredible variety of fish caught. Many smaller with some large trigger fish, bream and ray. Captain Gavin was friendly and informative

Trip out today 17 February 25 had great 4 hour trip plenty of fish Glen best skipper I’ve been with let’s you get on with your style of fishing and gives valuable advice when needed also caught my best Trigger fish

I have been fishing for over 55 years, I am what you can call a seasoned angler, I own my own boats in the UK, whenever I am in Tenerife I always have to go fishing, my boat of choice over the last 15 years has always been the Gavin Glen, we share the same views on fishing, and tackle and are both passionate about catch and release, if I can’t get a trip booked with Gavin ( he is a busy boat), I just don’t bother going with any other boat, I have now learnt to book the boat well in advance of my travel plans. Gavin is a very knowledgeable skipper and is hands on with both beginners and seasoned anglers like myself. If you want to fish around Tenerife you would be mad not to book him

Excellent trip, beautiful scenery and some wonderful fish. Gavin was very polite and patient with things you can be unsure of such as poisonous/dangerous species, very knowledgeable with his vast experience of the waters of the coast. It was so good in the morning I stayed up n for the afternoon trip. I will be coming back sometime in the near future to book another trip. Highly recommended booking a fishing trip.

Enjoyed trip although fish not biting due to conditions and lack of bait fish in the area. Glen did his best to find fish and one superb Smoothhound caught. Have found these trips to be hit and miss depending on various factors, so just enjoy the experience and if you catch it’s a bonus .

At least Gavin was nice. Fishing was terrible--which happens with fishing. Gavin cannot control the bite. But, he REALLY needed a deck hand. He drove and baited the poles, which didn't provide much "pole in the water" time. The "snacks and drinks provided" were water, beer, and pork rinds. So if all that sounds good to you, deposit your money here.

What a great day on the Boat with Gavin. We caught some beautiful fish, had a lot of sunshine. Magnificent views of the island while enjoying the beers 😉. Gavin can tell you everything there is to know about the fish, the ocean or how it is to live out here! We even had a little exciting fight with a stingray! Perfect experience with a great Fisherman, next year we're coming back for the Marlin!

Wife and myself had great experience. Caught variety of species, some over 50lbs and small group which made it better trip. Gavin could not have been any more helpful and price included all equipment, bait and chilled beers and water. would definitely book again if in Tenerife.

We booked this fishing trip as a group of 6. We met Gavin at Costa adeje Harbour and he took us out for 5 hours. We all absolutely loved every minute. By far one of the best excursions we done. None of us had ever been sea fishing before and wasn't sure what to expect. Gavin made this experience amazing from start to finish and we will definitely be back anytime we visit Tenerife. He had alot of knowledge about the sea, the wildlife, the island and sea fishing in general. So easy to get along with and was brilliant host. We have been on many boat trips over the years and this is definitely one of our top favourites. We did manage to catch a few different sea animals which he helped us do with care so they could be returned to the sea safely. Thank you again for the experience and we look forward to seeing you again when back in temerife.

Went out on a fishing trip with Gavin the experience was absolutely amazing the 4 hours that we known Gavin felt like we had known him for a life time so easy to get on with and so straight forward would definitely recommend going if your a tourist and like fishing or even if you just want to go for a ride and see some amazing fish THANK YOU AGAIN GAVIN….

Booked the 4 hour a.m. trip with Gavin. Had a really good day out on the water. We caught some unusual fish but despite Gavin’s efforts with different methods and different baits we couldn’t get amongst the big boys but I will be out with him again when we can. Gavin really knows his stuff and he made it a really good day out.

Went out with 2 other friends with Gavin would definitely recommend booking it. Visited few locations during our trip. Caught range of fish even got to see Pilot Whales. Gavin was very knowledgeable and entertaining made sure everyone was enjoying them selfs.
