This excellent whole day tour took us to some beautiful small towns on the island of Tenerife. Our guide, Angel, gave us lots of information before we arrived at each location and then gave us time to explore at our own pace. Angel had a good sense of humour and very detailed knowledge of the island where he was born. The transport was good and Angel drove with great care on some very winding roads! A great way to see the island and to learn about its history, culture and food. Many thanks to Angel for an excellent and memorable day.

La Laguna was the first capital in the island. UNESCO named it World heritage in 1999.
We will visit La Orotava and its curious stately homes of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.
In this village, we´ll see the oldest tree in Tenerife, somepeole say it´s older than 3000 years old. It´s an endemic kind of tree what you only can find in Canary Islands
Very nice town, where you can understand how one volcano can change the life and history of one village. Garachico is our "little Pompey"
Very nice viewpoint where you can enjoy the views of one of the tallest cliff in Europe ...almost 1000 ms high
This isn´t a religious tour, but we must stop in this place, for visit the biggest church in the island.

My wife and I signed up for the two “round the island” tours hosted by Raphael, who is a very pleasant and enthusiastic host. As we were staying in Son Bou and had decided not to hire a rental car ( good decision) we joined these two tours which currently run on a Wednesday and a Sunday but with different itineraries. Menorca is blessed with an efficient public transport system so trips using the local bus to Ciutadella and Mahon augmented the very enjoyable “round the island” tours. Collectively the tours cover most of what you would want to see whilst on the island visiting a range of different beach resorts, inland towns and both Ciutadella and Mahon. Both coffee stops and lunch enroute are factored into the itinerary (at an additional cost) but proved very good value for money ( a three course meal with wine and water was €18 per person. Raphael is a very enthusiastic host and very much enjoys playing you his Julio Iglesias CD’s during the bus journey, someone he met many years ago in Hong Kong. During the tours visits are made to the gin distillery in Mahon and the cheese factory in Alaior but just for sampling with the opportunity to buy but with no hard sell. We thoroughly enjoyed our two tours with Raphael which represent fantastic value for money with a full day trip costing €32 per person and we would highly recommend it to anyone who prefers not to hire a car during their stay.
Tenerife has more to offer than cheap beer and sunshine. Angel introduced us to the Beautiful scenery in the mountains, pretty little coastal and inland towns and some great suggestions for places to eat and drink.
Had very nice weather. The guide talked very interesting and brought me to different places. Had free time, got a good look at the island and its people.
Angel is a great guide and an excellent driver. Although there were only 2 of us, we went around in his minivan. He even changed the itinerary according to our wishes. I think we saw all the main sights on the island. We had just the right amount of time everywhere and we could have stayed longer if we had wanted. Angel was very informative and funny. I highly recommend this tour if you want to see what Tenerife has to offer.
A most enjoyable day trip right round the island. Our guide Angel was most informative and friendly and by the end of the day we felt we had seen all the most important and beautiful sights of Tenerife.
Had a great day out in the mini bus visiting the beautiful places in Tenerife. First stop was Santiago to view the cliffs for 15 minutes. After that we drove up to a viewing point where we stopped for coffee and beautiful views. We tried the local coffee which was quite sweet but tasted good. In the shop next door there was free tastings of the local dips, honey and wines and spirits. Went on to visit the little town where the dragon tree was. So peaceful there. After that we went to Puerta de la Cruz which was lovely, with lots of shops, restaurants and quiet squares. Our final stop was in a little town to visit an old church. We enjoyed our day and the guide was very informative.
Fantastic tour with an excellent guide, it’s hard to know where to start! Every stop is well explained with the perfect amount of time planned to enjoy it. As Angel says, you own your time, so if you want more or less at any particular point, that is an option as well. You will not be disappointed!
Great to get an overall of the island and history. So much to see, if I get back I now can decide where next to stay.
It was a real pleasure listening to Angel’s descriptions and explanations of the places we were visiting. I have experienced many tour guides through my life, and I can confidently rate him as the very best. His knowledge of history, social matters, etc. is way up there. It was a pleasure to listen to him. And his courtesy, open mindness , and attention are impeccable. If you really want to have a fun day and learn a lot about Tenerife, hire him! He is worth every euro.
Our guide Angel was experienced.and knowledgeable. He rearranged as needed to make the best of bad weather due to a tropical storm. Glad we got to go in spite of the rain.
Excellent day trip! Angel was an amazing guide, so knowledgeable and had many stories to tell. The day was well designed to hit all the best bits of the island without feeling too rushed. I enjoyed the free time we were given to explore, much better then the regimented big bus tours.
We had a great day. Ángel, our guide, was very friendly and explained many things we saw and we learned a lot about the culture and history of Tenerife. The first part of the trip is focused on nature, which I love. The second part is more focused on the lovely cities. Ángel is a very good driver as well, which is comforting.
From the cliffs at Los Gigantes along the northern coast with its beautiful cities to the old Capital of La Laguna, the cathedral of Candelaria and the windy beaches of the southern coast I got a little taste of everything on this wonderfully diverse island - even a taste of banana wine in Icod. Ángel, the guide is a native Canarian and it shows: He loves this island and knows a lot about it, its history, legends and modern developments. And about European Football as well.
This tour was a disaster! The tour guide arrived late. Two of the guests did not arrive so we waited 45 minutes for them so we got off late. THe tour guide spent most of her time talking to the driver rather than to us. This was because the guide and driver could not agree on where to go... at least from what we could surmise. We started off late which got us late to our last stop. But it got worse! The driver and guide miscommunicated on where to pick us up after our walk so we lost another 30 minutes. The result was that we almost missed the ship departure time. Needless to say none of us were pleasd.
It didn't start well. Four of our fourteen passengers arrived on time, but at the wrong location. We lost almost a half hour getting them on board. The group was supposed to be English, and the guide spoke marginal English. The last couple to board was German. It turns out, our guide also spoke German. Trouble was, the accent was so hard it was difficult to tell which language she was speaking. Exhausting to listen to, and I was able to follow about 70%. Our ship was scheduled to sail at 4:30, with or without us. This was made abundantly clear to the guide. In spite of this, she chose to make one or two more stops than seemed prudent; then she and the bus driver miscommunicated... We waited 10-15 precious minutes while the driver found us. A couple of our tour mates got stressed to a degree that compelled me to mentally review CPR protocol. Credit the driver for making up a few minutes on the highway and unusually quiet afternoon traffic. We made the parking lot at the terminal at 4:28, two minutes ahead of "gangplank up". A brisk jog by our band, half of whom were octagenarians, got us aboard with moments to spare, wheezing and gasping. The tour itself was okay, logistics need work.
I had booked and paid this tour ' Round the Island trip without Teide' and got the confirmation from you. But I was told this tour cancelled and suggested another tour 'Teide tour'. I accepted and I was fully satisfied with Teide tour. I booked Round the island trip at 60euro but Teide tour was at 36euro. Please refund the balance 24euro as the tour operator told.
This trip does what it says on the tin. We were picked up on time by our guide and taken on a brief walk around La Laguna where we were staying and then back to the car to start our trip. The car,a Toyota Yaris.was really the only surprise! Yes there were only two of us on this trip but the small print does say minivan. By the end of the day we were exhausted getting in and out of a small car! That aside out guide was competent and friendly and gave us plenty on local history and customs. We also felt confident with our driver. We saw a huge amount of the island and had a nice lunch at a local restaurant. Would recommend but check your vehicle type before booking!
Great tour, good choice of villages with time to visit them, take pictures and still be able to drink the local coffee. The guide shared historical, social and traditional facts. Nice intro before each stop. Great views. Free wi-fi. I strongly recommend it.
Fue una gran experiencia gracias a Angel el guía que tiene el conocimiento sobre Tenerife y nos explicó acerca de los lugares visitados y hizo el viaje muy agradable. Más de 10 puntos para Angel, gracias!
We visited several points of interest of the island and with excellent performance of the guide angel, who demonstrated great wisdom on the various themes
Es war eine tolle Rundfahrt an schöne Orte. Wir hatten eine gute persönliche Betreuung dank der kleinen Gruppe.
A charming place in candelaria, where you will find this beautiful avenue of Aboriginal kings to visit without doubt
