Tenerife Submarine Tour

Very unique and awesome experience. A true underwater adventure. It’s fairly cramped as expected, especially if you skew taller.

My son loved this experience, pretty cool being up close and personal with lots of sea life. Plenty of sting rays and the audio description of things was a nice touch

We had a great experience at the submarine safari at Tenerife - it was really exciting for my son and me to be able to see the fishes at the bottom of the ocean. The whole tour was well organised and audio guides were brilliant. Highly recommend it if you are in Tenerife and looking for a family activity!

An unusual annd enjoyable experience. You get around 45 minutes in the submarine. You can see the submarine submerge into the ocean via a camera in front of you. The divers have a real rapport with the stingray, it’s lovely to see that. We had a great experience.

Lived up to expectations. Plenty of room in submarine with great view of underwater. Saw a lot of fish and the sting rays were awe inspring..

The whole experience was fantastic. We arrived a little early so took advantage of the little coffee cart outside, which was really reasonable. Initially we thought the price was a lot, but the service and the tour made it feel we got our money's worth and more. The people who booked us in were great and friendly.. boarding the submarine was a little tight but once on there it was surprisingly spacious. Everyone had a clear view of the ocean floor. We got to see loads of different types of marine life, and the scuba divers were great at bringing all the marine life to us. The whole trip lasted just under an hour, however, this felt the perfect length of time. If I'm back in Tenerife, I'm definitely doing it again

Wow. Amazing. What an experience. The fish are at the windows before you've even left the berth. We saw stingrays interacting with the divers. Shoals of different fish. Ship wrecks. The island rising up from the sea floor. Just do it. The guide was a recorded message, ear phones provided and you picked your language. Was quite interesting. Staff were on hand but not needed. My one tiny criticism, legroom. There's hardly any. Im 6ft. It was a tight squeeze sitting down.

A thrilling experience!!! I highly recommend it to everyone! It lasted almost an hour and it was breathtaking!

Me and the family thought this was an incredible experience and worth every penny. We saw lots of rays and fish as well as the sunken ships.

Firstly the cost , £53 for 45 minutes in a submarine. Personally when you consider people's wages , running costs etc , I thought it was well worth it. The whole experience was brilliant from start to finish . The divers playing with the stingrays is obviously the highlight for most but the audio accompaniment is also very good . Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone.

This was our second time in the yellow submarine and the children loved it. To see all the different fish and life beneath the ocean was amazing. Each passenger gets a seat and headset with an audio guide in your preferred language. Can not fault it, the staff were equally amazing too.

Great experience to be on the board of submarine. Lots of different fishes swim around the boat all the time including a very big sting ray, about 2 meters long. Staff are friendly and useful, boat is cosy. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience, we were lucky to see lots of different, colourful fish 🐠 it was extremely peaceful and calming watching the stingrays too!

It was one off experience, really enjoyed it, though expensive.

Great experience. Got to see plenty marine life with an excellent audio guide. It was also no issue having my pregnant wife and 3 year old as there were no health risks due to the pressurized submarine.

Had a great time today doing this submarine safari. Drove to the marina ourselves and there is plenty of free parking within a 5 minute walk of the departure point. Sub was far more spacious than I imagined and the unobstructed vies from each window was great. Headset commentary in all different languages made for a totally enjoyable experience

Its a bit expensive for a 1hr journey.im not satisfied for what i have seen.only few fish and stingray thats all...and 1 sunken boat..

Very good crew and they even say to you when fish are here i liked it prices are very good i recomend for family it dosent saje you dont feel the puling up un down i was very happy

The excursion by Submarine Safaris, was an amazing experience, from watching the submarine come into the marina. The charge, although may seem high, when you see the submarine, & find out details, you appreciate the charge, & it is then worth every euro! The tour is just the right amount of time, & there is never a dull moment. The whole time on board & during the boarding & return was very professional, & during the time on the submarine with the headphones, it was a great experience. Due to the size of the submarine, you do not feel crowded, as there is plenty of space between the seats, & the viewing windows are large enough to see everything. The staff are helpful & it feels as though they enjoy what they do. This tour also helps the environment by being part of the Ocean Project Sustainability, helping to preserve & protect for future generations. As someone who can feel claustrophobic, I didn’t feel any discomfort during the tour. Will hopefully do this trip again, as so enjoyable. There is a cafe & toilets at the quay. This is a very unique experience the person at the desk was nice saw some lovely fish and the commentary in all different languages was very informative we stopped on the sea floor and a diver was there to show us unique fish I waved and he waved back 😀 Would recommend but if your not very mobile getting in and out of submarine it's not for you

If I could give this minus 100 I would. I booked this for my sons 16th birthday. We arrived 8 minutes early by taxi to the stop outside best tenerife the driver was rude would not let us get in the bus then proceeded to argue with the taxi driver who to his credit defended me and slapped the coach drives hand away from me. we then had to pay 29euro to the port only to be told the trip was cancelled due to air-conditioning issue. When I asked how I was going to get back to las Americas they simply said walk to the bus (1h) or get bk in the taxi they gave me 30euro for compensation the taxi cost 60euro!!!! Never ever again will I book this If you book this arrive extra early as 8 minutes was ovis a bit late in their opinion!

Great fun for all family. Wear a red top to see the colour vanish. Very interesting fish to see. We saw giant stingrays and large trumpet fish.

Absolutely breathtaking. Seeing the rays and fish swimming around and looking at the seabed was mesmerising. Great staff too

We didn’t need to go far - life teemed just off the shore. I had no idea how much was hiding so close. From the moment I stepped aboard, it was like diving into a wild aquarium. Fish swam beneath us even while docked. Once we dived, the ocean came alive - stingrays gliding past, garden eels waving like grass, more fish than stars. I took pictures, but none caught what my eyes saw. There's boat wrecks, physics lessons and divers drifting past playing with stingrays. The staff were friendly. The sub felt safe and comfortable. A word of caution for anyone with back issues - you’ll be stooped at the windows for about an hour. You could get stiff. Otherwise, a brilliant experience.

Very nice experience , was super excited , i saw the bottom of the ocean and I saw plenty fish . The sensation was very intense and the guide was very nice

So much fun and very informative! We took the morning tour so it wasn’t crowded at all and the staff were great and helpful! Lots of fish to see and the addition of the underwater divers was nice too! Would definitely do again!

It was a really fun and exciting experience to see the Marine life from under the water rather than above in a unique way. The tour was guided by friendly operators who were more than helpful for any questions you had we really enjoyed ourselves and would recommend to friends family and anyone who wishes to come out to Tenerife and explore the island.

Well organised and very professional upon arrival - make sure you walk right to the end of the pier to find the office to check in. Nice little gift shop. They take a photo when you first get onboard, which you can then buy afterward. Once onboard, you climb down into the submarine and find a free seat at one of the portholes. Headphones are at each seat with a language selection for your audio guide. This talks you through all the safety info initially and then mentions various things to look out for and facts about your journey. My headphones did not work, so I had to rely on a friend to relay the info as there didn't seem to be any staff down below with us to inform. While still docked we saw small sharks swim past and then, further out, we spotted various fish species, garden eels and an octopus. At the half-way point divers come out and all the fish and stingrays flock to them, attracted by the bubbles. Lovely chilled experience on the whole. There's also a nice food truck selling various snack and drinks at the end of the pier, again professional staff.

Great, interesting experience to go down to 30 metres depth under ocean level. Journey is safe and serviced by friendly, professional team. Surely can recommend to anyone, even families with small children.

We had a great time doing this dive. It was something new to try and being quite rare in the world we were looking forward to it. The sub was very spacious and you all get your own window in sets of 2 so theres no worries of not having a good seat. We seen sting rays and trumpet fish along with boat wrecks. The diver swimming amongst the sting rays was amazing to see from the sub. If i had one thing to criticise it would be it is advertised as an hour long dive. This is not the case you are down a max of 35-40 mins. Boarding and de boarding seems to be part of the hour long time frame. I did wish i could see more and be on longer given the price paid. Over all it is deffo a thing to try out and take advantage of the free coach transfer provided as the dock is in the middle of nowhere.

Water was quite cloudy but still managed to see a lot of fish and Rays. An hour trip but most of that is manoeuvring out of harbour

Great audio guide and good layout of the submarine meaning everyone can see. Saw lots of sealife and great for older kids and families

You gotta try this! Everything was perfect; the water was crystal clear, and we saw tons of little fish and three huge stingrays.

We had a nice submarine experience. We felt it was just a short duration tour. We saw nice stingrays , el, and more small fish.

The Underwater life was amazing , especially the stingray. Hi what's the jest having an adult only trip. A lot of the children were very disruptive while we were actually trying to learn something and appreciate the underwater life.

My 7 year old son and husband loved the trip. I get sea sick so didn't want to risk it but they had a great time. Saw lots of stingray and trumpet fish as well as the usual.

This was a great and unique experience. I definitely recommend as this is not something that you would be doing all the time.

There are only 4 of these subs in existence which makes this experience quite unique. It's well organised and not too expensive, perhaps not so much for parents with children. Our son did this in Gran Canaria over 30 years ago and says he remembers it as being really fun and exciting. Having now done it myself I agree, and I have the photo and dive certificate to prove it!

Nice experience. Beautiful views. Unfortunatelly didnt see dolphins or sharks. Times Goes very Quick. Wish to see more but we didnt go far away.

Never been in a submarine before and was pleasantly surprised by the trip as well as all the views underwater. The crew were really good at what they were doing, they were safe and very professional. Would highly recommend anybody going on this tour.

This was a treat for my husbands birthday. It was wonderful. I have always thought it was a bit expensive before and not done this. However it was worth every penny. Lots of information on individual headphones. You could also chose from several different languages to listen to. Lots of activity in the water fishes of many varieties stingrays and shipwreck. It was the highlight of our holiday.

Great adventure and experience well organised and got to see plenty of fish and also rays interacting with the diver.From pick up through to drop off all was planned well also able to purchase photos and magnets etc from the shop after the trip.

Wonderful experience, and very informative…. I would highly suggest you try this out 😊 we had to book a taxi from our hotel as the marina was quite a bit away from our hotel, taxi prices are reasonable and well worth it for the experience

Views were great, very good experience. Son loved it. Some great photos to remind us. Price isn't cheap but compared to other tours where you "might" see animals, this is guaranteed and although not all the species are guaranteed there is just so many fish to see i highly recommend for kids and fun for adults too.

Fantastic experience with clean and friendly staff. Kids loved seeing all the wildlife and the headset gently guides and educates you for thr entire length of the trip. Highly recommended!
