Tenerife Snorkeling Tour In Turtle Habitat

Guide and staff were all friendly but the trip is a con: there are very few turtles - we saw one at a distance from the boat. Saw a few dolphins and a shark from the boat on the way there. There aren’t any where you snorkel - no flora, no coral: a few small fish but that is all. When I asked where all the turtles were, she just shrugged and said we were unlucky. The fact that she got super excited at seeing a sting ray briefly, was a bit telling. We then had to hang around in the same place to wait for the divers on the same boat. They always say after: ‘you can never guarantee …you were unlucky etc etc ‘ etc etc but they know your chances of swimming anywhere near turtles is slim at best.

Amazing, wonderful experience from such a friendly experienced team. Instructor Elena looked after myself and daughter so well. Dolphins and a turtle made my day. Great value for money.....do it. Yes, we will try diving next time 😘xx

People were lovely, but the title is very misleading. You will not be snorkelling with turtles. You’ll get to see some for 5 minutes and only snorkel with fish. The title should be “snorkelling with fishes with a possibility of seeing turtles”

My daughter and I had an amazing experience on our snorkelling trip today with this centre. We saw turtles on the surface and many dolphins. The guides were very informative and respectful to the marine life. I would highly recommend

I had an incredible experience snorkeling with Travel Sub The crew was friendly, professional, and made everyone feel safe and relaxed from the start. The snorkeling spot was breathtaking — crystal-clear water, lots of fish, and we were lucky enough to see aturtles up close, which was truly magical. The guides took the time to explain everything and pointed out marine life we might have missed on our own. The equipment was in great condition and the whole trip was well-organized I highly recommend Travel Sub if you want a fun, safe, and unforgettable snorkeling adventure.

This is was the best snorkeling that we did with our Family. The kids 5 and 13 years old were under private control of guide without any extra charge. Very good equipment, you can choose long or short wet suits. Life jackets are available.the center is located in the very comfortable place with 2 big parkings. After the excursion you can walk in the area where a lot of restaurants, bars,good beaches. Very recomended.

Saw sting rays, a turtle, dolphins and lots of fish! Ruben is very supportive and easygoing, the vibe on the boat and in the water was lovely, I absolutely recommend the experience!

The snorkeling place was a little hard to find, but once we found it, everything was great. Max and the captain were amazing. They brought us out on a little speedboat and took us to the cove where we saw many fish, dolphins with babies and one turtle.! Max was such a pleasure!! The whole staff was amazing! Would definitely do it again!!

They are very quick to take your money but then when you have a complaint you get ignored! We paid €30 for photographs, when we received the link there was 2!!!!! Photos of myself and my partner only. Nothing in the water at all. The whole link was full of the scuba group but nothing of the snorkelling. I reached out for a refund but was ignored. Do not recommend for snorkelling.

Exceptional guides with a real passion for what they do. Nothing is too much trouble and although this time we didn’t manage to see turtles we was lucky enough to see dolphins. A great experience led by good qualified staff. Thanks very much

So much fun. You are in a small group which makes such a difference. Max, Maxi and David were brilliant, so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be coming back again. There was a turtle but we sadly missed. All the kayaker screamed and jumped in at once to see it and frightened it away. We did see lots of fish. We also saw dolphins on the way back, including a baby one. What a laugh we all had together on the way back, bobbing up and down whilst holding on. I wanted to get back in the dingy and do it all again. Definitely a trip for all ages. My sister and I are 54 and 57. Been on quite a few trips over the years. This was definitely the most fun. So much fun zooming and bouncing along on the dingy. Max, Maxi and David were absolutely amazing. Sadly didn’t see any turtles but saw the dolphins and some beautiful fish. Would definitely do it again.

We did this trip today but would say give snorkeling a miss here. It was very dull. When we got to the supposed good snorkel area it was full of over 20-30 kayakers & we had to snorkel around them & the boat. When it was clear there was very little to see in this spot today (barely a handful of fish) I thought we might try elsewhere but they just kept us there circling the same small spot dodging the kayakers for 45 mins. The current was rough some were sick from just bobbing up & down with nothing to see. I know turtles not guaranteed fair enough but he person who sold us the trip said we'd go into caves and see plenty sea life whatever. Our guide & the company itself nice to deal with & equipment was good but I don't recommend south Tenerife for snorkeling after this!

We were very impressed with this experience, there were 4 groups of 2 on the boat 2 of which were ours, our 2 teenage boys got the hang of it straightaway, my wife and I struggled with getting used to the masks and snorkels, still enjoyed it just swallowed more water than we would have liked. photos and videos were awesome too! highly recommended 👌

Fabulous trip. The whole team at the dive shop and out with us were brilliant, you can tell they have a passion for diving. Great for all the family. We didn't see turtles but did see lots of fish and some dolphins. A special thanks to Dan, our 'dive master'.

An incredible experience. Although we didn’t see any turtles, it felt like we were in an aquarium surrounded by fish and the bluest waters. Everyone in the crew was very very nice and we will definitely be coming back! A special thanks to Ale, Óscar and Rúben.

We enjoyed a great dive experience today with Julia who managed to introduce our Girl of 10 years to suba dive for the first time. Julia and the whlole team shared good material and experience and we really enjoyed a lovely afternoon diving. The Dive Center is just at the corner of the Puerto Colon and easy to find if you use google map. Pick the Travel Sub Dive Center team - very fair price for a professional team and equipment. Thank you again Julia for the great 1st long dive of our girl - she loved it very much.

Brilliant excursion with the staff being very warm, welcoming and funny - no sign of any turtles but plenty fish etc - highly recommended.

We had a wonderful time with an amazing and patient crew and instructor Matteo. We didnt see any turtles but did see other amazing fish.

3 of us, my husband, son and I booked a snorkelling session to see the turtles- we didn’t see any turtles lol but that’s just the luck of the draw. The staff were amazing , really friendly and knowledgeable- lots of great advice and super friendly. Fell in love with their super calm dogs. I actually got list finding the place but the lady on the phone guided me and they waited whilst I hunted for parking. Lots of sizes in wet suits, life jackets and a variety of snorkelling masks. The boat ride out was really refreshing. It was a fairly windy day so maybe not the best for my hubby who was snorkelling for the first time but the staff were great, very supportive and gave him extra buoyancy aids. They took photos which were sent to us for free. There were also free drinks on board. Thumbs up all round and we’d definitely recommend and use them again. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is that whilst waiting for other to join the boat the diesel fumes were really strong and made all 3 of us nauseous, I don’t know if there was any way of avoiding that.

Great people, so friendly and very knowledgeable. We saw dolphins, a barracuda and a turtle! Equipment was great too, good masks and the jackets for the boat ride back are genius.

This was a really family friendly trip. They were very good at communicating (we had to delay twice due to weather) and also explaining about everything before we got on the boat. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because we were told not to take bags (small boat!) on the boat and so we got cold on our way back…

Great Excursion, With diving pro's at work, and great happy people with a smile on their faces that you can see that they enjoy this too. Felt wery relaxed and at ease and could free dive deep. Only Sea Turtles were missing, but it is hard order them to come ;). Thanks again "Muscles from Brussels" as we said on the boat. Was free diving 5 days in row in Tenerife, this was the best excursion.

Great snorkeling experience. Julia was an amazing guide. Saw 4 or 5 sting rays. It was a great time on the water.

Sadly we didn't see the resident sea turtle but we did see plenty of other fish! My partner isn't the strongest swimmer but he felt very well looked after by our guide, who's name I've totally forgot! We did this back in May, admittedly it wasn't the warmest weather and the sea was quite chippy... wouldn't suggest doing this sort of activity in any of the earlier months of the year for this reason!

This experience is amazing! The staff were extremely tentative and friendly. Although we saw no turtles, the underwater sights, fish and speedboat ride makes this experience really good value for money. Photos were also gifted for free!! Highly reccomend to anyone!

What an experience! We chose the snorkelling activity and it was absolutely brilliant. The guides were amazing, someone was always in the water with you and checking you were okay, they gave a full briefing before we went to ensure we felt confident, the boat was also always nearby and stocked with cold water if you needed a break. Snorkels, fins and wetsuits were provided and good quality, just needed to bring swimsuit, towel and suncream + shoes to walk to the boat. We saw an array of different fish whilst snorkelling and even saw a turtle and some dolphins whilst on the boat on the way there. Would 100% use the team again and recommend to others!

Had such a great experience, especially as it was my first time snorkelling. The staff were all super friendly and welcoming, and whilst out in the sea our guide (Max) was especially helpful when it came to technique and reassuring. I ended up needing his help quite a bit and really appreciated it! Also Max was very knowledgable on the marine life, and we saw lots of interesting fish that came close to us (just wish we had seen turtles). The speed boat ride was a lot of fun aswell- highly recommend! :)

Having never snorkelled or been on a speedboat before my daughter and I were a little nervous however Max was amazing and made us feel calm throughout. The waters were a bit choppier than expected (I believe we came back slightly earlier) but again Max was calm and patient with us and a few others in the group. Not only did we see turtles we also got to see a pair of dolphins who put on a little show for us on the way back. Highly recommend these guys. Very welcoming, friendly and funny.

There aren’t enough words to describe how amazing this experience was, and that’s 100% down to the staff at the dive center. It’s clear that it’s like a little family and for the short time I got to spend with them I felt a part of the family too. They were caring, informative and funny and if it weren’t for the fact my holiday ended, I’d 100% have gone back. I was very anxious to go out in to the sea and had a panic attack when I got off the boat, but the staff helped me through it and supported me so I could conquer my tears, get pictures, and even see stingrays! At no point did I feel a burden or like I was being judged and I actually really enjoyed myself despite the anxiety I had. Would 100% recommend to anyone, but especially those who are worried or anxious. Thank you so much to the whole team - you’re amazing!!

Let me start with something nice: this tour is very proper in a way that equipment is very well provided. They have nice fins, goggles and wetsuit. Now the down side: this tour is about snorkelling in an attempt to find sea turtles. After getting dressed up, we boarded a powerboat, which isn’t very nice as there weren’t any seats, and we have to sit on the floatations on the sides of the boat. We arrived in a random place near the shore which we started snorkelling. The area of snorkelling which we are allowed is extremely small and limited. The waves are big in that area and there were no more than a couple of fish in the sea. For most of the time we were looking at rocks at the bottom of the sea. The tour guides seems weren’t surprised at all for not spotting any sea turtles. I feel like this tour is a complete scam and I am going to ask for a refund or dispute the charge of the tour when I’m home.

It was my first time and tried the snorkeling. The kind and enthusiastic professionals turned this trip to a unique experience. Before we started, the crew explained in every detail how to use the equipment (for scuba as well). We took some awesome pictures on the boat with the crew and from the bottom of the sea.

This is the best our tour that we took in Tenerife. Very friendly home atmosphere, professional attitude, very good quality of equipment. We saw a lot of different Atlantic fishes, sting Ray's, turtle. In the way back we did a stop to see dolphins. Recommended

Great trip. The ocean was a bit rough but still had a great time. The guides were very attentive and willing to assist when needed. Will definitely book again.

Had an amazing snorkelling trip with these guys - 5 star. Easy to book, professional, attentive and entertaining team! Divers and snorkel peeps can go on the same trip if the group has different interests/levels. Pictures/videos will be sent within hours from coming back. If the ocean provides any extras - like dolphins in our case - they'll make sure you see all that can be enjoyed! Excellent trip - thank you guys!!! The staff are very helpful and the equipment is good. The location that the activity takes place in is very crowded with divers, canoeists and boats all around. There was limited fish to see and no turtles (although I know that this is not guaranteed) even though the activity advertised as a “turtle area”. Would I book this again? Probably not.

Today I went snorkelling for the second time with this company. The first time was 6 years ago. I cannot recommend the experience enough. For me, it was about the turtles more than anything else because they're my favourite animal. You're not always guaranteed to see a turtle but both times I have. What makes this company so special is that they really know about the animals and they really genuinely care about their welfare. This is a real wildlife experience where everything you see take its natural course. The staff are so friendly and encouraging and are really there to make the experience the best it can be for you. None of the experiences are expensive and although I haven't yet braved the diving, it is pretty obvious that all the experiences are so much fun and worth every penny! Well Done guys!

Avoid avoid at all cost! We’d booked a snorkeling trip with Travel Sub for 2 adults and 2 children. The trip was supposed to be a guided excursion. At the safety intro, the guide said he would be with us all the time in the water. Spent nearly EUR 200 for the 2 hrs excursion. We ended up separated from the rest of the snorkeling group who had 3 guides. This was because there were more snorkelers than expected at the time slot. We were put together with the diving group. After the boat driver dropped off the divers, he then turned to us and told us we can dive off the boat. We were offered no guides and no life jackets for the children as well as ended up in deeper waters than was expected for a snorkeling excursion. There was nothing to see in these deep waters for snorkelers. We made a complaint and were told that they could not do anything for us. Avoid avoid avoid at all cost!

We had a great time! We swam around with a turtle 🐢 We chose the morning slot as when we checked reviews, people did tend to see them in the morning so I know it might be an early start, but it is worth it. We saw a couple of other turtles too on our journey 🐢🐢 My only negative was when it said it was a boat, I expected a proper boat, not a blow up looking thing - I'm not great with things like that so on the way back I did struggle with sea sickness but I was OK. The last time I went snorkeling was in Egypt and it was a glass bottom boat so in my head I was expecting at least a normal boat 🤣 Our guide was wonderful! We stood up and towered above her as we range from 5ft9" to 6ft3" 🤣 she managed to work out our wetsuits straight away, despite the additional height challenge! She was so helpful and confident! She is only young and training to be a doctor, so we wish her all the best with her career! She is very caring so she will be fantastic! We had a great time on our trip so I would highly recommend it to all! Thank you! ❤️

Snorkeling was good. Good instructor and snacks and water for free on board. We stayed 1hour and 15min in the water snorkeling. Thumbs up!

It was OK, we joined then for the turtles sightseeing. they put all of us with 2 groups of scuba diver together on 1 boat, really feeling thar they are saving the money and cutting the cost. And from what i saw their equipments are very old. the wetsuit we got was so wore out that there were holes everywhere, we got cold very fast because of that. the spot we went was full of people! Full!! we saw 2 turtles, but there were like 30 humans or so.

We were meant to be snorkelling on Wednesday at 14:30, so we made our way down to the sea front and had some lunch. We received a phone call shortly after from Travel Sub Dive saying we could no longer swim that day and that we had to choose a different day (no explanation given). So, we chose to go Friday instead. The experience was alright, nothing amazing. The boat dropped us off in the sea next to a big cliff, so you can imagine as the waves are rolling in and hitting the cliff wall, the water gets really choppy. the water wasn’t very in some places either. We also didn’t see any turtles at all. Swam around the 2 boats and seen the same school of fish for about 30-45 mins then got back on the boat. Was promised snacks and drinks were included in the price to which we discovered it was a bag of mini dry muffins and a litre bottle of water to share amongst the group. They only had 2 plastic cups to share between our group of 9 (not including the boat driver and 2 diving instructors) so me and my partner didn’t even get a drink of water…. Despite all that, I noticed there was a man in our group who was a wheelchair user, he was helped onto the boat and allowed to watch us swim which made me happy, really liked that they were inclusive! But I have to admit it was a very underwhelming experience if I’m honest, wish I had just asked for a refund instead of using this as my last day on the island.
