Tenerife Red Cactus Farm Experience: Farm Tour, Tasting & Animals

We had a good time. Interesting story about the fruit, products and the family behind the company. You even get to taste the good stuff. Our guide did a great job and was very enthusiastic.

It was an interesting visit and the guide was lovely. But we spent more time learning about / watching videos of the products made with the prickly pear than exploring the farm. For a family visit I think my children would have enjoyed more time walking around the farm and less of the sales pitch.

A wonderful hour and a half spent on this family farm. A wonderful location and interesting concept. Our guide Alicia was great and as we booked the first slot we ended up with a private tour.

Solid. Need to book ahead of time (a day or 2). It’s basically an advertisement for their products, but it was informative and interesting and something to fill 90 minutes of time. It was a good stop for us between hotel check-out and going to the airport.

The first third of the tour was interesting. I loved the information on the cacti and the history on how Tuno Canarias came to be. The tour guide was very friendly and did a great job. I also liked the taste testing of the fruit and different products. However, all in all I wouldn't recommend this activity, as the other two thirds were mainly a repetition of what was already said beforehand and I felt aggressively advertised at. It also feels like the owners glorify themselves too much. Some parts that had heavy focus in the advertizing for the tour felt like they were missing. For example, I would have expected more information on the goats and an area set up for taking photos after trying the fruit. As a farm that prides itself in sustainability, I wish they would have refrained from using AI in the creation of their stickers. I also can't help but wonder if the script for the video was AI generated - it had good starting points, but did not explain much in a level of detail I would have expected. Overall, the tour price is too high for the value it offers. I would have recommended this if the entire tour was more like the first third.

Difficult to find but well worth it. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, polite and with a sense of humour. The interactive part was interesting and fun and tasty. Recommend this to everyone

We spent wonderful time there - very interesting with incredible “business” story of the owner family. Red cactus and its products are delicious. We also met owners personally. Our children would like to named baby goat with the name Marshmallow :) Thank you!!

Great visit, we are originally from London, but have been living in Valencia for 20 years and we are aware that Customer Services can be somewhat more relaxed in our sunny retreat. It was therefore a pleasant surprise to encounter a guide who was truly professional, helpful and was prepared to answer our barrage of questions . Thank you for your detailed explanation about the cactus plant. Even if you’re not a horticulturist, you will find this tour informative and educational, and you probably didn´t realise that they produce numerous products from the fruit which have a wide range of accredited health benefits . Big hugs to you, the goats and also the chickens from Donna & Mike.

Lovely tour, we learnt some very interesting facts and got to try some products made from the plant. Our tour guide was very friendly and spoke perfect English, so that it was easy to understand everything. Can totally recommend.

I really enjoyed this experience. I found the information the guide gave us extremely insightful and the fact you get to taste everything is wonderful. I wouldn't necessarily recommend for children, however if you love learning about new things and health then this is the place to visit. The staff were super friendly too.

Please, remove the ads 10 mins video in the middle of excursion, it is terrible and spoiled whole feeling about the visit. You had enough ads during excursion and that video just killed us. The guide was good but slow because she had to talk in 3 languages one by one. The tasting part was also good.

What an absolutely interesting and informative tour Ellicia/Allicia our guide was extremely knowledgeable and the history of the farm and its owners was superb, I have been coming to the island for 33 years and have done many tours but this one beats them all. If anyone reading this is interested in the history of the Island this tour is not to be missed. Thank you all so much. I will return next year.

Highly recommended visit to the prickly pears farm.

Geinig tourtje over kleine cactusvruchten farm waar je half uurtje over doet. De rest van de tijd wordt besteed aan 1 grote commerciele presentatie over hoe geweldig de eigenaren de boel wel niet bedacht en opgezet hebben, waarbij je een vruchtje en alle superfood poedertjes een keer mag proeven met wat joghurt. En natuurlijk een foto met je roze tong kunt maken. Vroeg aan het einde of ik 1 van de duizenden vruchten vers van de plant mocht plukken, maar dat was niet de bedoeling, doe dat maar bij een plant die buiten de farm groeit. Het viel ons tegen

I have been using some Tuno Canarias products daily for eight months and wanted to visit the farm; it was an unforgettable experience and I will continue using their products because of the benefits they provide to my health.

Multisensory experience at a great family's estate

I went with the family, and even though we were already very interested, the visit exceeded all possible expectations. The treatment was wonderful, and our guide, Eliana, made us enjoy the experience, learning, tasting, and getting to know the history of this superfood. She is a star! And the facilities, and the whole farm are beautiful. Totally recommended, for families, couples, and anyone who wishes to know more about this wonder of the Canary Islands.

We were warmly welcomed and did the tour with 6 people. Our guide was a nice young lady who gave the tour with enthusiasm and joy. We received a clear explanation from her and via a video clip, and we were allowed to taste the fruit and then also taste yogurt with different flavors made from the cactus fruit. We enjoyed it. It was interesting and the stay was very pleasant and varied.

I thought it was a BEAUTIFUL visit and so enriching that I already want to repeat it. I have been a resident of the south of Tenerife my whole life, so I have always been surrounded by tourist attractions and experiences aimed at tourists that only focus on having a good time. The visit I made to Tuno Canarias is for all types of people and nationalities: for us, the Canary Islanders, who have lived with the cactus and can now learn about it and obtain its benefits, but also for people who are unfamiliar with what the island is, and this brings them closer to our history, culture, and reality. I went alone, but it is a very fun activity that goes by very quickly. From children to adults, everyone can enjoy and learn about the history of the Prickly Pear equally, so I think it is also suitable for any age if you are thinking of going as a family. Special mention to Ileana, the guide, who was wonderful and super fun, and to Javier, the maintenance guy who was very nice and very attentive to our group. Just to add, beyond how wonderful the experience was, how delicious the products are and all the benefits they have… incredible. I tried 4 types of Prickly Pear powder and some chocolates, each one tastier than the last. I opted for the original powder because the flavor is exactly like the fruit, but I recommend the Family Max if not, which is also very good and the flavor is a bit milder. Thanks to Tuno Canarias for creating something like this; it is a source of pride as a fellow countrywoman. Congratulations! I am already looking forward to returning.

A very beautiful discovery! 🌵 An interesting and enriching tour, where we learned a lot of things about cacti, their varieties and their many benefits. And a special mention to our adorable guide, passionate, smiling and really too cute 🥰! We had an excellent time!

Very kind and attentive staff. The estate is large and has a lot of history behind it. We were able to taste the red fig and enjoy the landscape that surrounded us, all accompanied by interesting explanations. A very pleasant and recommended visit.
