As we gain altitude, panoramic views unfold — Mount Teide, volcanic landscapes, and the rugged ridges of Teno. Following a scenic trail along the high ridge above Masca, you'll enjoy stunning views of the Masca valley, Los Gigantes cliffs, and, on clear days, the islands of La Gomera and La Palma. Right from the pick up, our guide was super positive and her enthusiasm was contagious. As we were a small group, we got a lot of personal attention. The hike is exactly as described, with different climates as you walk through the mountains. It’s quite moving. We loved the day and our guide. Thanks so much Elena.

Fab trip. Pick up clearly communicated, not too long a drive to the starting point of the hike. Air conditioned mini bus. Mass our guide was friendly and encouraging and clearly passionate about his work environment. He did an incredible job communicating with the whole group. The hike was about 8km, some steep parts but not too challenging. We went at a fairly gentle pace. So much stunning scenery! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it
Excellent tour and HIGHLY recommend 10X TENerife EXperience. We originally had booked the Anaga hike with them, but they had to cancel that due to a rock slide in the area. Great customer service with that as Alex contacted us quickly, and offered the Masca hike as a replacement. which was also amazing! If you want a small group, more-personalized experience, they are wonderful. There was 5 of us in our group, including my wife and I. Elena picked us up at our resort, and gave us a little bit of an island tour on the way to the trailhead. Masca is a beautiful area. Elena was a great guide and provided a good mix of active hiking and informative stops. We like to hike at a good pace, and she kept it moving. She also took a lot of photos she shared later online. Our only regret was not being able to tour Anaga with them. If we return to the island we'll definitely book with them again.

An amazing journey around the mountain and through the enchanted forest, we were blessed with perfect weather, a fabulous group and Massimo, who was such a knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide. Collected from my hotel in an air conditioned van, small group tour. A short ride to our parking stop, a couple of hours hiking, a small lunch and a couple of hours return. It’s requires decent footwear and a small amount of stamina or determination, choose your own! Great for seeing nature and exploring trees as opposed to beaches. Highly recommended.

We had an exceptional experience! Not only were the sights breathtaking and our guide -Massimo very knowledgeable and helpful, but the weather could not have been better - clear and sunny throughout with just the right amount of mist in the.forest. The trail was challenging for us (mid-late sixties) but completely doable with Massimo’s guidance.
We had a fantastic day with Mass. His great demeanour and impressive knowledge made the hike one of the highlights of our trip to Tenerife. Our kids (aged 9 and 11) who are “tough” customers really enjoyed bantering with Mass who was a great sport and above all a great guide. The enchanted forest was breathtaking along with the hiking route. Mass took great pictures of the group as well and shared them later that evening. I would recommend this hike without hesitation.

Fantastic hike with the most personable and enthusiastic guide - Massimo. We were in mist for almost the whole walk so there were no views to enjoy, but Massimo was so knowledgeable about the local area that it didn’t matter.

This tour to Tena Rural Park and Enchanted Forest above Masca left me breathless! The views were stunning and Mass created a positive atmosphere and knew so much about Tenerife and the ecosystems through which we hiked. I recommend this tour wholeheartedly. I am in moderate physical condition and was winded going up the elevations, but Mass gave me time to rest and catch my breath. Layers of clothing and outerwear are key and a small backpack is very useful. We stopped and had a picnic with juice, nuts, dried figs, granola bars, and a small waffle pastry. That recharged all of us and we enjoyed the break. The tour is limited to eight people and our group was fantastic. We represented the United States, England, Ireland, Germany and the Netherlands. Mass speaks several languages, but ours was in English. Book before you arrive as this tour fills up fast.
This was a truly memorable hike through various terrains;You will not be disappointed at the enchanted Forrest. Massimo our guide was patient, attentive passionate and made the trip so interesting. He regularly stopped to give snippets of his never ending knowledge. Thank you a superb time. A lot is uphill but paced with this in mind.
A wonderful experience even in rain and wind! Unlucky with the weather but Massimo made it special and great fun. He was so knowledgable about fungi and flora and kept a very cold and wet group of hikers going with his upbeat personality. Highly recommend!

Our recent hiking trip in Tenerife was absolutely fantastic. The views were breathtaking, especially looking out by the sea from Masca, and the weather couldn’t have been better — warm temperatures and perfect conditions for walking. Massimo, our guide, truly made the experience exceptional. He was incredibly engaging, sharing his knowledge of nature and the environment with real passion. His explanations about the landscape and plant life were fascinating. He timed the stops perfectly, giving us time to take in the scenery without ever feeling rushed. We learned far more about the area, the nature, and the history than we ever would have if we’d explored on our own. The beautiful scenery, the insights, and the overall experience made the hike both interesting and enriching. The company was also excellent in the lead-up to the trip, providing clear updates via WhatsApp about pickup times and logistics, which gave us real peace of mind. We would definitely use this hiking company again when we’re back in Tenerife. Do not hesitate to book with them — they are very good, professional, and clearly care about their guests. The trek through the enchanted forest is a lovely nature experience. The views of the valleys below and Mt Teide are incredible. Our guide, Elena was so accommodating, extremely passionate about her work and very knowledgeable. She was patient and caring and so helpful, she made the experience so enjoyable! We had treats and laughs along the way. We would definitely recommend doing this adventure whilst in Tenerife with Elena ❤️

Although a little steep in areas this was a fantastic experience. Massimo was a superb guide, so passionate about everything. From the views of Teide to the mist in the enchanted forest the scenery was a delight.
Wonderful morning hike with Massimo. He is extremely passionate and knowledgeable about the geology, wildlife, plant life and fungi on the island. We got to learn a lot of new things as well as having a great hike. We were picked up from our hotel in Adeje and out into the countryside in no time at all. As per their information do make sure you have warm clothing, waterproofs and good walking shoes. If you are active and are planning a break from the main beach resorts we would definitely recommend you book this trip.
The tour was absolutely charming! Everything was incredibly well organised and communication was brilliant throughout - including beforehand with pick up & information about the hike itself. Now onto our host - Elena! She is so knowledgeable about the nature and history of the island, and brings her sense of adventure and wonder to the entire experience. It was really uplifting to hear someone so passionate about the island and the landscape, you couldn’t help but feel inspired. The hike itself was great, at a moderate level for anyone and has a lot of variation. We saw a snow capped Teide and the village of Masca from above which was also very pretty. Highly recommend. Mass was a great tour guide! Despite our conditions being less than ideal, he made it fun! Thankfully, he provided us with rain coats as it was very windy and rainy. We were unable to see views due to the conditions. The enchanted forest was beautiful. Overall 5 mile hike and can be challenging in some spots.
I had a fantastic experience hiking in the hills near Masca. Massimo the guide was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna; I learned a great deal. Particularly enjoyed the views of the coast, and walk through the enchanted forest, several micro climates all in just a few hours!
The hike was supposed to take 4 hrs but we were done after 3. It was very rushed and fast. I didn’t get picked up due to the location I stayed so made my own way with a rental car but no fee was deducted to reflect this. The guide was good but instead of bringing sugary treats like waffles which have no nutritional value, we could just bring our own lunch so the guide didn’t have to carry nuts and bars in her backpack so I wouldn’t say “lunch included” as it was a 10 minute snack stop. I brought my own lunch. It was very rushed. For me, it wasn’t value for money.

This was a fun hike but make no mistake in that it is an exhausting trek. This was a 10k hike 6(+ miles) up a mountain and you need to be sure to have the proper shoes, 1.5 liters of water, and be prepared. It was beautiful and we were extreme novices to hiking and were sore for a couple of days. However Alex was very nice and it was an incredible experience of seeing some truly hidden places that we would have never done before. To be clear this was our first hike and we were not in great shape as an older couple but we were able to do it.
READ THIS FIRST IF YOU'VE NEVER HIKED BEFORE AND NEED DETAILS BECAUSE THIS WAS ME. This was my first ever real hike because I thought it would be more like an "amble" and I'm probably should have picked something easier but I really enjoyed this. Here's what you should know if you're not sure. I'm in my 50s, with arthritis and normally only walk 3k steps a day. This was over 6 miles and lots of inclines so by the end I was the most exhausted I've ever been in my life, but it was also so lovely and educational. Parts of it were really hard for me but the other people who were there and were normal hikers and most thought it was quite easy. The guide was very encouraging and patient with us and encouraged us to stop and breathe and go at our pace. He provided the sticks for hiking but make sure you wear good shoes. Also long pants or shirts are a good idea because there are some brambles you pass through. A light jacket could be helpful but I didn't need one. Also, you need to bring 1.5 liters of water with each person so be sure you have that with you and a bag to carry them in. Overall, really lovely and worthwhile but if you're out of shape like me just be aware that you might be very achey at the end.
Beautiful route and somewhat challenging. The guide was very knowledgeable both on nature and history. Very enjoyable hike and made my stay in Tenerife all the more memorable.

Elena was so knowledgeable about the area ..flora and fauna and Tenerife in general but was also friendly and fun. We a family of 3 ranging from 56 to 15 ..loved it. Enjoyably challenging but felt safe at all times . Perfect walking pace and poles provided. . Highly recommend and will defo be booking Elena again 👌🏾💯⛰️🫶
This was truly a hiking experience, so get equipped properly! If you want to see more than the tourist areas of Tenerife, you definitely need to get to this place. We hade the perfect weather to get to know nature as it usually is in the forests of Tenerife and Elena is a wonderful guide. A lot of information to give to us on the vegetation and the surrounding, she is also very cheerful. Smashing views from up there and we learned many unique thinks about nature in Tenerife.
Fantastic experience from start to finish! Great communication prior to pick up and I was picked up outside my villa. Alex, our guide, was very friendly, informative and funny. He always made sure the group were OK and gave us loads of interesting facts along the route. The hike itself involved some steep and rocky paths but everyone was able to navigate them safely without feeling rushed and having the trekking poles helped greatly. Our simple, small lunch was enough to fuel us for the rest of the hike. Overall...fun, invigorating, stunning scenery...a definite must for people to do!
Communication was great from the outset. We got picked up near our hotel in Costa Adeje and taken to the north west of the island. Alex was a great guide. His love of the island came across right from the start. He explained the 4 micro-climates we walked through and gave us information about the local wildlife, the trees and plants, and the way geology shaped the area. In total the walk was just under 9km and did have some pretty demanding sections. Everyone was given a hiking stick to help steady us in the parts that were steep or slippery - shoes with a good grip are important. Be ready for all weathers and all temperatures, even if it's warm and sunny where you're staying. Don't underestimate how demanding the hike will be - but I'd highly recommend Alex as a guide and the area was beautiful. He's also a fantastic photographer (the photos I've attached to this review were all taken by him and shared at no extra cost)!
Elena was a fantastic guide. We had a lovely walk through multiple microclimates with wonderful views of the ocean, Tiède, and plant life with lots of interesting nature and Tenerife facts.
This trip deserves all the 5 star reviews, it was a very special experience from start to finish. I was notified in plenty of time for pick up information and even got a voice note telling me when they were 10 mins away, perfect. After collection of everyone e headed to our destination and we were given information as we drove. Upon arrival at our starting point, gear was checked and we were given equipment to be used if necessary. Then we started walking. The mixture of climates and scenery on this hike was astounding, we started in glorious sunshine then we were in the clouds, before entering the wetness of tbe forest, ending in glorious sunshine again, very bizarre and my wet/colder weather gear came in handy. Our guide, Elena, was knowledgeable, sharing snippets along the way, and her passion for the area shone through. She took pictures for everyone at variety of different spots, capturing the memories. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. When we were done and dropped back at hotels, Elena was quick to share the photos. I'll look forward to another experience with Elena next visit. Fantastic.
This trip was very well organised by Elena, which is a nice guide who answered all our curiosities with a smile on her face. She gave us many informations about Mount Teide, vegetation and many others. The trip was very funny and pleasant with Elena. What a spectacular way to spend a day! Alex enjoys finding special spots and sharing them. With a fully booked tour, he picked me up at 8:30 and dropped me off at 2:30pm. The hike itself included 3 distinctly different experiences (forest, rocky hiking, and smooth path walking). I’m in fairly good condition, and I heard others comment on how rigorous the day felt to them.. Alex provided poles which I took. I’d recommend them. He’s a fun teacher - he’d ask us to guess the answer to a question and then inform us. He’s kind, safety oriented, and full of interesting facts. He also took great pictures and videos along the way. I’d highly recommend this trip if you experiencing natural beauty and enjoy group dynamics.
We were looking for an alternative trip from the usual boat trip as we did that previously when visiting Tenerife. Alex is a great guide, friendly, funny and very informative. Unfortunately the forest was closed off due to Netflix filming, but that didn't spoil the day. The journey is on winding roads so bear that in mind if you are not a great traveller. Alex did say if you didn't feel great let him know lol. The views are amazing within the mountains, photos don't do it justice. I am not the best at desending hills, as Alex calls them rolling stones. If possible were trekking trainers or walking boots. But with the sticks that were provided made a great assistance as well as Alex on hand for support. I would say you have you have to be relatively fit for the end climb and be able to be bend down into small spaces to walk through the caves. But worth it to see the goats walk pass in their natural surroundings. If you are looking at doing something different on holiday we highly recommend this trip.
Alex was wonderful, kind, funny, and clearly does this a ton as he knew every inch of the forest and its vegetation. Felt extremely safe at all times and really got to know the group in this intimate setting. The pictures turned out wonderful, and he even edited together a little reel at the end so we have an easy memory to share with others. A must do- even if you don’t like hiking like myself- so you can really start to understand these microclimates and how Tenerife came to be ecologically. With that, it was incredible hike but not as easy as the other reviews made it seem! Perfectly doable for anyone that is able-bodied, but might get quite tired at a few points. Stopped at a good point for a little picnic of donuts, nuts, apple juice, and protein bars, which Alex provided. Would absolutely recommend, but come prepared to get some exercise in!
It was a fantastic stroll — highly recommended! Stunning views, a magical and unique forest, and all of this combined with a fairly easy, gently warming walk. I enjoyed it a lot! Alex is a great guide — very friendly and full of interesting facts and stories about the Canary Islands. He also took some lovely photos and videos of our small group. I recommend being prepared for changeable weather and dressing in layers. It’s also better to wear leggings or pants (not shorts) because of the bushes and damp conditions. I didn’t have special trekking shoes, just regular sneakers with a treaded sole, and they worked fine. Wear something comfortable and enjoy the beautiful Mother Nature!
Amazing trip! Alex is a great guide, and I can absolutely recommend this hike for anybody wanting to experience Tenerife's laurisilva forest first hand.
I had a really great time on this hike. The views were STUNNING. Alex was an amazing guide. He was funny and super knowledgeable, gave us a lot of really interesting facts about the islands and the landscape and also took some really great photos! Our group of seven had a range of physical capacity and he did a really good job managing that well. The only thing I would have liked was a little bit more guidance on what to wear and what to bring. You need to bring water and I would recommend layers of clothes including an outer layer (hoodie) that you will probably only need for about 15 minutes. Long pants likely preferred because of the thorns you walk by. Would also recommend a hat and/or sunglasses, backpack, and shoes appropriate for trail--I wore trail running sneakers and those were perfect. The picnic includes pastries and nuts and juice. I was happy I had brought a banana along. Happy hiking!

The weather was very wet and cold when we parked up so a group decision was made to go to the Teida national park instead (where it was lovely and sunny!). Alex was flexible and wanted us to have the best experience. He was also knowledgable which made for an interesting and pleasant day - really enjoyable. A shame we didn’t get to see the enchanted forest - next time!
