Rosa was a fantastic tour guide. Very energetic and knowledgeable. Wanted to share with us the wonders of Tenerife.

We will spend about 30 minutes in the Teide National Park to admire the impressive volcanic landscapes of El Teide, the highest peak in Spain and the world's third highest bolcano from the oceanic base.
Here we will have time to stroll around the town and explore the iconic Drago Milenario, a tree believed to be over 800 years old.
In Garachico we will stroll through the old town and visit the famous natural pools of El Caletón, formed by volcanic lava, or the Castle of San Miguel.
We will enter the Teno Rural Park until we reach the hamlet of Masca. An incredible place between valleys and ravines, surrounded by impressive nature and where the traditional Canarian architecture stands out.

Good tour not enough Tue spent at Teide only brought to viewing site but got some nice photos - Icod was super felt a little pressurised into lunch in garachico restaurant food only ok there - Masca spectacular abd the drive back 1 well you need to hold your nerves!!! Overall very enjoyable but the trip off and changes of buses because we were in golf Del sur should have been explained to us. Solid 4/5 thanks
Excellent value for money. Get to see a lot of the island in a short space of time. Picked up from the hotel and dropped back. Tour guide(Fonzie) was very good, parted lots of knowledge and kept the group together well. Would definitely recommend this tour.
This was an amazing tour from start to finish. The locations were stunningly beautiful ,the time at each stop was perfect and well paced and our tour guide offered amazing detailed information about the history, geology, and sites of the island giving us great insight into Tenerife. This information was actually one of the highlights of our excursion. He was also very careful to balance the two languages so that nobody missed anything so we thank him immensely for his time and effort. We chose this tour because it was my husband‘s birthday and we could not have asked for a nicer birthday present! It was just a perfect day! A highlight of course, for everyone ,is the amazing skills of the driver on the extremely windy roads of the mountains. Bravo to him for keeping us safe and thank you to your entire TEAM for a wonderful day.
Absolutely loved our day and the whole trip, from pick up to drop off. Excellent bus on time for pick up and drop off. Excellent Spanish and English speaking tour guide such a lovely lady, who knew everything about the Island, with alot of knowledge. And what can I say the driver of the bus was, The Best Driver and Navigater, around them mountain roads. Must admit I was a little scared at the edge and passing of other vehicles. Totally recommend this excursion if you want to see and be part of the Spanish Culture. Be warned its HIGH... Thank you to the company and people involved, you will be recommend.
We booked the tour not really knowing what to expect. We thought we would drive around, see a few things, and then come back. The reality was so much better than we expected. The first stop was a lovely little coffee shop halfway up the mountain. The coffee was good, and the views above the clouds were lovely. Next was Tiede. The mountain was stunning, and Laura, our guide, gave superb information. We genuinely loved visiting the park. The giant Dragon tree was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. The natural pools on the coast were inviting. I would have loved to swim. Then the best bit of the trip was the road to Masca, the views from the village, and the drive over the mountain to get back to the south. The driver, Pedro, was incredibly skilled and patient with the idiots coming the other way. It was a wonderful trip, and I’m so glad we went—time well spent. I love Tenerife more today than I did yesterday. That's saying a lot, because this is my fourth trip in 3 years.
Advantages: - well organized - bus was at pick up location beforehand and dropped off at the same location - stops were timed well, no problems accessing the toilets - most of the spots were quite nice (some small cities, Masca village, Teide national park) - Enough time for lunch Disadvantages: - The guide information was mostly about what we are passing and will pass on the route, almost no information about why locations are special - Some of the stops felt more like a lure to spend more money on things (eg coffee shops, souvenir shop, etc) - Drop off experience is super lengthy - Bus is pretty dated - The entire tour felt like a bit much - most of the stops were rushed with not enough time to actually explore the location and enjoy Overall, it’s fine for getting familiar with the island but not super interesting or suitable for people who like to explore or prefer more active options
The Grand Tour excursion in Tenerife was amazing and very well planned. Everything was organised perfectly, and we got to see and experience so much of the island. Our guide, Laura, was absolutely fantastic — friendly, knowledgeable and helpful throughout the whole day. She made the excursion even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this tour and would happily do it again!
Fantastic sightseeing with a great tour guide and a very professional driver (especially through the serpentines). I don't want to miss this day. I enjoyed it so much. Highly recommend it to all Tenerife visitors.
A fantastic tour with a great guide. Pick-up at hotel and entire organisation absolutely punctual. Safe and professional driver (especially in the serpentines). Every € worth. I had great fun. I highly recommend it for everyone visiting Tenerife.
Laura and Louis made our day special. Best tour guide and driver ever!
Absolutely brilliant day trip. I was wary booking a trip with a company I'd previously never heard about but the amazing reviews sold it to me. They certainly were not lying!!! Picked up from hotel close to our own on time and welcomed aboard by Enrico our tour guide for the day. He was amazing. Funny and so knowledgeable about everything not just the places we visited. Engaged with all guests and remembered names and details. Visited the Dragon tree, beautiful town and breathtaking views at Masca begore venturing on the mountain roads to Teide National Park- beautiful. Luis our coach driver was fantastic- funny, engaging and incredibly skillful on some of the most brutal roads I've ever been on (an amazing part of the trip) All the while with commentary and hilarious antics with Enrico. Such fun. Final stop at the restaurant where you are encouraged to dine but we went to the cafe underneath which was very reasonably priced. All in all the best day out. My children are 12 and 18 and loved every minute. As did we. Couldnt recommend this tour more. Worth every penny. Thank you so much to our guide and driver.
It was a nice trip to see the beautiful places on the island. The trip was at a reasonable pace and there was enough time to take pictures at each stop. When I saw the narrow and winding roads in the mountains with a lot of tourist traffic that we were driving on, I was glad that I didn't have to drive a car individually and was taking the bus.
Coach trip was good, seeing Teide was amazing even if it was from a distance. The Rock formations at the National Park were amazing. Be prepared to walk a lot. Our bus was parked far from where we were dropped off. The visitor centre was ok, most of it was written in Spanish, and the cafe wasn't open. It was very windy and cold, so dress appropriately. The second part of our excursion took us to a beautiful resort area. We had lunch in a hotel that was mediocre at best, and a buffet so big deal but better than nothing. Our trip to the Botanical Gardens was cancelled due to the high winds, and we spent another hour milling around the resort area. Waste of time would have been happier going back to the ship since this was a long day already. The driver and tour guide did a good job. Would I take this tour again? Yes, but be prepared.
It is a long trip with many places to see, few short walks at the stops. Very pleased with out knowledgeable guide and driver Edu and Juan
Pick up point is accessible from the hotel.Overall tour, the place, bus and tourist guide and driver are excellent. We love the Masca scenery. Our driver is superb!
Great tour. Laura the Galician guide was fantastic and Osvaldo ( the Cuban) the safest driver I have ever met. Really impressive and caring people and an outstanding experience.
Well worth the money to see this unique volcanic place and Masca is simply amazing just for the coach drivers skill at manoeuvring the bus around the narrow and steep winding road. The views are stunning running commentry on everywhere visited with a stopover for lunch in Tiede national park well worth doing !!
Amazing trip, we had a wonderful day. Pick up on time, friendly driver and guide. Mt Tedie is so worth the trip seeing the amazing landscape on the way up and the rock formations. We stopped at a lovely Spanish restaurant for lunch, €12 for a very tasty main and pudding and a glass of house red, great value for money. ( or 3 course €20) The grand finale of the day was winding through the mountain roads to Masca, the driver was very skilled and we felt very safe in his hands. We met some nice people on the trip to top it off. Don't hesitate to book well worth the money. Highlight of our holiday.
We had a wonderful trip out. Bus pick up was efficient. Laura, our guide was really knowledgeable & personable. Our driver was Bernardo, who needs a medal for navigating those windy roads. Would highly recommend, we booked through Atlantico Excursions.
This was an excellent tour, itinery, coach and guide. It lasted 8 hours and included visits to all the really interesting places around Tiede and the north west of the island. The guide coped well with the demands of some 8 different nationalities on the tour and certainly knew his stuff. Having driven the route personally, in a standard car, I admire the skill, safety and patience of the coach driver. Real value for money.
It was really a great experience, i was scared first that the 9h duration would be tiring and long but it was really amazing. Both tour guide and the driver were really a pro, definitely recommend
This was an excellent tour of Tenerife from the volcano to the sea. Our driver was very good. Alexis, our guide, taught me quite a bit about geology and the history of the island.
Be wary of pickup points. We had to make a mad dash because the details in the app were not correct. The app said we would be collected at our hotel but the bus didn’t come. Eventually I contacted a local number & the bus did not have our hotel listed as a stop. The stop was about 500m away. Thankfully the guide waited for us!
The reason for the 3 stars is our guide Maria who was fantastic, otherwise would have given a 2 star to this trip. The bus was very poorly maintained -the windows were not clean and hence not ideal for photos; the bus was stuffy and some of the air conditioning vents were not working. The brakes made alarming squealing noise every time they were being used and it was not reassuring in steep mountain roads. The driver drove very fast on winding mountain roads and many were feeling sick (one of the guests started vomiting, and had to be brought forward and Maria kindly gave up her seat for this guest). The total length of the trip was 8 hours - actual time spent at the spots were 30mins at Roque de Garcia, 1.5hr at Icod de los Vinos where some time was spent at a souvenir shop and rest for lunch which was substandard. There is not much to see here anyway other than the tree. Some guests returned late from lunch, so our next stop at Garachico was cut short to 5mins. Next stop was at Masca Valley which can be accessed through winding narrow mountain roads and was actually very nice place and spent 30mins there before returning back to base. This felt like a rushed tick-box exercise and Maria mentioned at the beginning that this was three trips squashed into one! So in my opinion, the itinerary does not do justice to any of the places visited. The best place to visit is the Teide national park and having done a cable-car trip the day before, we realised what the tourists missed by just seeing the Rocque de Garcia. There was a toilet break at Villaflor where almost five buses stopped and there were only two toilets each for gents and ladies, which was absolutely not right with long queues outside the toilets - if that is the preferred stop by all tour companies then need to have the right infrastructure to support that especially when tourists are charged 1 euro for the toilet.
Pick up point (Sol Arona) was quite chaotic with lots of tour busses turning up. Also, bus was 1 hour late. But guide was fun, helpful & enjoyed the trip)
If you want to see the side of Tenerife that isn't dominated by "tat" shops and bars, this is the trip for you. It’s a fascinating contrast to the south—which we learned was largely built for tourism in the 1960s—offering a much greener, more historic perspective of the island. The Highlights: The Route: A well-paced journey through Mount Teide, Masca, Icod, and Garachico. The Vibe: The North is lush and steeped in history, providing a much-needed break from the typical holiday-goer hotspots. The Value: A full day of exploration that definitely feels like money well spent. What to Expect: The itinerary is packed. With four stops, the first three felt a bit like "taster sessions"—short visits that give you just enough flavor to know where you’d like to return independently. Our guide was exceptional, providing deep context and stories that made the landscapes come alive. A Word of Warning: The Road to Masca Masca is stunning, but the journey there is an adrenaline rush! The road is incredibly narrow and winding. Watching our coach driver navigate oncoming traffic on those hairpin turns was a feat of engineering and nerves. The coach drivers deserve a huge bonus for their navigation skills alone—definitely not a drive for the faint-hearted! The Verdict: A lovely, informative, and authentic day out. It’s the perfect way to scout the island's hidden gems while enjoying some world-class scenery.
I would highly recommend this tour if you’re looking for a day out. The tour guide Fernando was very knowledgeable and pleasant and the driver navigated the narrow and windy roads like a pro! I was worried it was going to be rushed at the stops but I felt there was just enough time at each stop especially as it was very cold in these mountainous areas. Unlike many tours I’ve been on there were no unnecessary tourist trap stops and the tour delivered exactly what it said on the tin.
We booked this trip to be able to see some of the sights in a convenient way. We truly cannot recommend this trip enough. Both our Tour guide Rosa and the bus driver Kiko made the trip even more memorable. And even the trip to Masca alone for us was so worth it. The trip down to Masca is very stressful, but Kiko did an amazing job navigating narrow corners and upcoming vehicles while being on a bus. Truly nervewrecking in itself and I genuinely recommend the whole package.
Wonderful tour, fantastic driver Bernardo, and excellent guide, who spoke English, Hungarian and German. The guide gave us just perfect amount of information, and everything I was wondering about got covered on this tour. He had really good sense of humour and was very knowledgable. The pick-up was punctual, and nice clean bus with airconditioning and safety belts. So worth every penny! Just loved the experience!
The company did not provide the exact meeting time to us and the guide was not very polite about it, though it was not our fault.
Tenerife suffered its first and worst "storm" (more like a cyclone) in a generation whilst we were on holiday. We could not visit the Teide National Park. This is not the fault of the tour operator, Atlantico, however we were not given the option of a cancellation beforehand or advised of the alternative places we visited instead. If we had been informed of the substitution stops, my husband and I would not have gone on the trip. The guide was very good, the driver was excellent, but we do not want to support restaurants with captive animals. The lunch stop at the Camello Center, I understand, was not preplanned (or so I was told); the food was plain and overpriced, the "petting animals" (I hear these are caged) and the elderly camels masked, saddled and tethered in a small, fenced off "park" area. Basically hanging about waiting for a tourist to ride one for a selfie and/or a laugh. But hey, we're all different. Even if you do not care about animal welfare, their exploitation or working conditions, a consumer has the right to be informed of what they will receive with a pre-bought ticket, which they have every right to be refunded on if the itinerary changes. As it was, despite being hungry I personally refused to buy lunch for myself at Camello Center. The stop, and my hunger, and the assumption that captive animals in a restaurant is okay for tourists, and that all tourists are okay with such an outdated "attraction", absolutely impacted on the enjoyment of this Atlantico trip. Of course, there is a business relationship between tour operators and the places they stop their buses at, fair enough, however, do try to take this review - and I'm sure the feelings of many other tourists regarding animal welfare - into consideration.
Excellent guide (Carsten) who spoke English German Spanish and probably a few other languages too. Very knowledgeable about the island Great driver too Pedro was super.
This coach tour was organised very well. We managed to visit lots of locations. Our trip started from the South in Costa Adeje and travelled up North. We got to see the majestic Mt Teide,The El Drago,Icod de Los Vinos,Garachico and Masca. Essentially we got to see everything we were promised. This trip consists of short and sweet stops in locations where we even got to walk around for some time. Phons the guide was excellent-he was very knowledgable and engaging. Kiko-our driver did an excellent job, especially on the roads to Masca! The fee for the trip was so reasonable and affordable. We had a great group of 30 of us travelling which made the trip super engaging.
this tour overall was great. but the meeting time said 8am at our chosen spot. at 8:35am we received a text that our pick up spot was being changed, the bus didn’t come till 8:50am. we were waiting hopelessly. other than that maria our tour guide was great and it is a great day trip to see the whole island.
Picked up from Adeje, arrived on time. The bus was delayed at Vila Flor for a time. The guide Samuel was very knowledgeable and provided excellent commentaries. Had a good lunch with vegetarian option in Garachico. Enjoyed exploring Masca although time somewhat limited. A good tour overall.
I would not recommend booking with this company. I reserved a four-stop tour, as reviews indicated that the longer tour with additional stops did not provide sufficient time at each location. Despite booking only the day before, when the bus arrived—15 minutes late—the guide informed us that we had been placed on a different bus due to availability issues. I assumed this was the same tour we had booked, but it quickly became apparent that it was not. At the first stop, I noticed discrepancies, as our itinerary was not supposed to include Vilaflor. At the following stop, it became clear that we were on the wrong tour: we were given only 10–25 minutes at Teide National Park instead of the scheduled one hour, and the same issue occurred in Garachico. As a result, we were unable to properly explore, swim in the natural pools, or enjoy the locations as planned. I contacted the company regarding this issue but have not received any response. Overall, I am extremely disappointed. The tour we specifically booked was not the tour we received, and we did not have the time we expected at the destinations we had chosen.
The trip got off to a very bad start. We received a message early in the morning saying the bus was delayed, followed by another message informing us that we would not be picked up at our hotel, even though this was clearly stated both in the booking and on our ticket. I tried calling the operator for clarification, but they never answered. It later turned out that we were expected at a completely different pickup point, which we had never been told about. We ended up rescheduling the trip, but the situation was stressful and forced us to reorganize our day last-minute. The Trip Itself: 1. First Stop: Villaflores A very strange choice for a stop. There was almost nothing to see. No viewpoints, just an old water supply with an information sign. The café there felt like a typical tourist trap, and they even charge €1 to use the bathroom. 2. Second Stop: Teide This was incredibly rushed. We had only 30 minutes, which made no sense because there is so much to see and many beautiful paths to explore. It was stressful, and I would much rather have skipped Villaflores entirely to spend the extra time at Teide. 3. Third Stop: Dragon Tree We had 1.5 hours here, including lunchtime. The group was taken to a prearranged restaurant with a set menu, but thankfully the guide didn’t pressure anyone to join, and the town had several alternatives. We brought our own lunch because we’ve experienced other tours where you’re taken to remote restaurants with no other options. This stop turned out great, since we visited the botanical garden (€5), which was lovely, peaceful, and perfect for lunch. Highly recommended! There is also Casa Del Drago restaurant that looked amazing, I'd love to come back to that. 4. Fourth Stop: Garachico Pools This was the biggest disappointment. The tour description promised one hour at the natural pools, and we even brought bathing suits. Instead, we were forced to walk slowly behind the guide like a herd of sheep, and the entire stop lasted only 30 minutes - just enough time to take photos before getting back on the bus. We weren’t allowed any time to swim, even though we could easily have taken a quick dip and rejoined the group. A major letdown. 5. Last Stop: Masca A beautiful little village in the mountains. We had 45 minutes here, which was more than enough and actually quite enjoyable. Summary Positives: - The guide was knowledgeable and interesting - The driver, Pedro, was incredible. Skilled, calm, and very safe in mountain roads - You get to see a lot in one day - Freedom to choose your own lunch option Negatives: - The guide was inflexible at key moments - Far too little time at Teide, which is he highlight of the trip - Promised time at the Garachico pools was cut in half - Not allowed even a quick dip in the pools - Long hours on the bus - Hotel pickup was not honored, despite being clearly stated on the ticket, no compensation was offered for the organiser mess up Overall, this tour had potential, but poor organization, broken promises, and rushed stops made it an overall disappointing experience.
It was a great experience today.Enjoyed alot and totally satisfied with the guide and organizing☺️☺️
A wonderful day out, full of interesting and beautiful places. Our tour guide Julian was so knowledgeable and humorous which enhanced our experience enormously. Our driver (Arlando) was exceptional and calm under many difficult conditions.
A must do especially if you are travelling without your own vehicle. Very well organised and informative
Great tour with multiple stops for pictures. Both a great driver and tour guide with constant updates in both English & German. We knew that there was a stop for lunch, but did not know it was going to be ~2.30!!
Really great tour of Tenerife showcasing the various micro climates Tenerife has to offer. Wear comfortable shoes for this trip.
Fantastic tour - which I have been on before but on a jeep The jeep tours are mega expensive now so opted for air conditioned coach instead and im very happy I did. The company I booked through sorted out being picked up from my hotel ( very far from town). It did mean being picked up at 8am! Ulrika was super sweet and helpful. Think the kiosk was called Wow Excursions. They're based in Puerto Colon nestled between two cafes. The tour guide Laura was lovely and her and the driver Pedro were like a comedy double act The talk throughout the tour was very detailed. Slightly worrying knowing that all the volcanoes in tenerife are active, albeit small risk. We had plenty of stops along the way and saw some stunning sights. Pedro was super skilled navigating some treacherous windy and narrow mountain passes. My heart was in the throat most of the way haha. Happy I did this tour again
We booked this tour picking up from El Medano, understanding it to be an 8 hour tour. The bus then took 1.5 hours to pick up from around 5 other hotels in other resorts. At that point, the guide finally started the tour. Much of the content was great with some amazing locations. However, it tries to take in too much. We only got around 30 mins at the most spectacular places. The first stop was a cafe where the queue was too long to actually order anything. Lunch was at a predetermined restaurant and took the whole hour even with eating quickly. Then when we went to pay they said cash only! Fortunately, some of our fellow travelers were able to help. And that was that gor that town. At Teide National Park, we were given 30 minutes to have a quick look around. Really disappointing. We had a stop at a gift shop which was entirely unnecessary as we're all staying in resorts that have those. The stop at Masca was incredible but again only 30 mins. And the drive to and from Masca was utterly terrifying but that works well for many. The driver was amazing. Overall, there are some real highlights but not enough time at the important places. And if you're staying at El Medano, maybe give this a miss... We spent nearly 3 hours of what ended up being an 11.5 hour day picking up and dropping off people. Really off-putting.
Excellent! Plenty locations visited with enough time to walk around and experience the local culture and nature. Eugenia was an amazing guide and the driver was the best!
The guide was very good and looked after us making sure we were all ok and that everyone was in the bus before leaving! The driver was amazing - never even consider taking a rental car to masca by yourself! The driver never got flustered but it is a ln epic journey especially in a bus!
Just wow! What a fantastic trip, thanks to the expert knowledge of our guide Virginia? and the superb manouvering through the landscape of the coach driver it was an unforgettable experience. Spectacular views throughout.
Booked through our hotel. Our tour was in Russian and English with our guide Eugenia and driver Kiko, both of whom were friendly and helpful. Does what it says on the tin and definitely takes the stress away when trying to find parking spots, even off high season. My husband has limited mobility and walks with a stick and the tour was fine (you do need to be able to get up the steps to board the bus). Several stops were just refreshment/toilet/shop so no walking. At Teide and Masca, you could walk as much or little in the time given. The only group walk was in Icod and was just a few minutes. Another review mentioned it not being clear how long stops were or how long on the coach between stops; not the case for us - the schedule was very clearly explained and there was a suitable balance of time on and off the coach. The first toilet/coffee stop was very popular with tour groups heading to Teide but the staff were very efficient so the slightly daunting queue moved quickly and prices were very reasonable considering it's all tourists. At the lunch stop in Icod, it seems quite a few guides have an arrangement with one of the local restaurants- 17€ for 3 courses and a glass of wine. Simple choices but for 17€....!!! No obligation to go, you can do your own thing but it was an easy option. Great way to get a sense of some of the highlights if you don't have a car.
Well organized all day trip. Comfy bus. Knowledgeable and nice lady gide, tells interesting stories. Highly recomended.
