The overall trip was very professional and organised, we was picked up exactly where told and exactly on time with our guide (Craig) even planning the seating so family’s etc could be all together. The communications through WhatsApp made the trip so much easier. We drove up to Mount Teide whilst Craig gave us an in depth and enjoyable experience learning a lot of information not just on Mount Teide but Tenerife too, we arrived at the Sunset spot and then onto Dinner which was well presented and tasty. Fortunately me and my son went outside whilst waiting on the meal and took a few photos of the sky and stars before having our meal because by the time the meal was over heavy clouds started to roll in, the team managed to show us two items one being the Capella ( I think can’t exactly remember because I was so concerned about tripping over the tripod of these impressive telescopes) and the second being Saturn which was unreal. Like I said the whole experience was amazing and the team battled to try and save the night which was totally against us unfortunately, we tried to wait it out with hot chocolate and puffa jackets before they made the decision to abandon the rest of the night which I totally agreed with and understood for then Kieran to announce that we would be getting 50% refund or reschedule plus a voucher for 50% for next time we come back, which I couldn’t fault at all credit to all the team, me and my son will be back hopefully again in the future and mother nature won’t spoil it for us.

An amazing evening, we all thoroughly enjoyed it, the guide on the bus was great the way he loaded the bus was brilliant keeping everyone together in their groups, plus he had loads of great information I've been coming for years and some it I didn't know, the food was really tasty, don't underestimate how cold it will get, got down to 5 degrees at one point, so dress accordingly, the sunset with cava was lovely, but the highlight was seeing Saturn it was amazing!!
We had a brilliant time. Kieran and Craig were very helpful and knowlegdeable. I loved the star gazing. The scenery was spectacular.best trip i was on since i started gojng to tenerife 20 yrs ago
Trip was easy to book. The whole set up was very well organised from start to finish. Guides were very knowledgeable and happy to answer questions. The journey was so picturesque, stopping to see the sunset was a wow factor also having the guides ecplain and illustrate all the star consolation was very informative. Loved the hot which was needed as it was pretty cold up there. The last wow factor was seeing a planet so clear from the telescope. Thanks guys and girls for a memorable evening
Amazing experience with Craig, the views are worth it and the cold is now forgotten - but please go well dressed to the night at the mountain!
we absolutely loved it !! 100% recommend booking this trip. You get to see the sunset and the beautiful sky at night with the naked eye and looking at the night sky through telescopes with an informative talk. You get a meal with your trip and lots of mementos, ie photos and a timelapse of the sunset all as part of the price. If they feel you’re not going to get the best of the night sky they will also cancel the tour and book you in for another night or refund you. You really can’t ask for more than that. Brilliant. Thank you Kieran and thank you Craig for a fabulous evening that will be hard to forget. Please thank everyone else who were involved to make this such a memorable trip.
We had a thrilling time on the Night Skies in Tenerife sunset and stargazing tour on Oct 29th. We were picked up punctually from outside our hotel in Adeje and dropped back at the same spot, everything else was meticulously organised and went very smoothly. Craig was with us from the start and shared plenty of interesting information during the journey about Tenerife in general, about Mount Teide and later on about the stargazing. He stayed with the group through dinner and the stargazing, and then gave us even more fascinating astronomy information on the way back to our hotels. We were very impressed by the knowledge and enthusiasm of Kieran and his astronomy team. The sunset from Mount Teide was beautiful, but the stargazing was the main highlight and provided some wow moments. We were thrilled to look through the telescopes, which were set up for the group. We saw some amazing images of the night sky and stars. The guides explained everything clearly and made the whole experience enjoyable, even for those of us who are not astronomy fans, like us. My wife and I felt quite cold at that height of the mountain but Night Skies even provided jackets to the whole group to wear so that we could all carry on with our stargazing without feeling cold. We left a small tip to thank the team, including Giovanni, our skilful and confident driver. It was also a lovely touch that the organisers provided free links to the photographs they took of everyone during the tour, on the next day. We would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Tenerife. It was a truly memorable evening and it exceeded our expectations.
An unbeatable experience în Tenerife! It delivers more than it promises: a lot of information about the island în general and about the nightsky in special. We got also professional pictures and videos from our trip.
Great experience, pick up was slick and the information we were given on the day was brilliant. We didnt have a meal but were offered a drink instead. It was a lovely sunset and fantastic to learn so much about the solar system and see them with the fabulous telescopes. would recommend. no extra costs or selling!
Brilliant from start to finish. Can't think of anything they could improve on.
We weren't sure what to expect but the tour was great from start to finish. Our son loved the fun facts about Teide on the coach journey, lots of extra little touches like cava and juice for the sunset, hot chocolate & puffer jackets for the star watching and loads of photos included (although we didnt know they were taking sunset photos so missed out there), dinner was better than expected and very well organised so minimal waiting around. Even the clouds didnt spoil the telescopes. Would thoroughly recommend
From the moment on the coach, infomation was given about the history the purpose and how the volcano became what it is now. The journey was safe and very comfortable, the descriptions of the stars were very precise and also entertaining. More than worth the time and money
We really enjoyed our sunset and stargazing experience. Some lovely touches such as cava at sunset and photos by the guides made available free of charge. Great to do something away from the beaches.
Excellent communication, excellent guide, a fantastic excursion with excellent food
Excellent in every respect from hotel pickup to return. Very professional and well organised event. Not only do you see the most beautiful and unique part of Tenerife but you learn lots on the way. Staff endlessly patient in ensuring everyone of all ages had time to see everything without feeling rushed. Friendly but always professional. Free photos made it value for money. Highly recommend - book well ahead.
Craig was very knowledgable and funny too. The best bits were sunset with Prosecco and driving above the clouds to see perfectly clear skies with 1000s of stars. Great experience and the free photos, especially of the moon were amazing
Wow, seeing all these stars from the world's 3rs best place (!) to see them is an unforgettable experience. Guides were great, very knowledgeable with a good dose of humour. We had a great time.
Very enjoyable trip. The team were extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. Highlights for us were all the extras - provision of warm jackets, complimentary drinks, photos and getting to take a photo of the moon through the telescope - something I will treasure! And also seeing Saturn through the telescope!! Enjoyed looking at the photos afterwards of the sunset and starry night sky taken by Craig, making memories last for life! I would thoroughly recommend this trip and we both felt well looked after by all the team. Thank you for all you do.
The tour was lovely, the sites and views where amazing. Craig and the tour guides were cracking people! Me and my mates had a lovely time, the night sky looked amazing and got to see a few things through telescope and a few shooting stars
We went last night to the sky gazing experience what an amazing experience, from start to finish, everyone involved from the sky gazing team, driver etc were fab,but the sky gazing and keirons knowledge blew us away,it will have me looking at the night sky every night such an eye opener, many thanks Dave and Deb.
Amazing people and very knowledgable. Night was spaced out really well as. The stars were amazing
A lot of valuable information presented in an accessible way. Despite the large number of participants, everyone had a chance to look through the telescope. In bad weather they didn’t try to take us up the mountain anyway, but instead rescheduled the trip to another day - a big plus. Thanks to that, we were able to enjoy the beautiful night sky under Teide!
Very good organized. We havent seen stars on that evening, but its outdoor so there will be always a risk. They tried their best to make the evening nethereless a good evening and it was beautiful. They offered a new date to watch the stars without a new booking
A once in a lifetime trip. Our guide Craig was very interesting with his commentary and facts along the way. Really nice touches with Prosecco handed out at sunset and free photos at the end of the trip. Sooo glad I brought my winter coat even though it made me melt carrying it to the collection point. Brilliant experience.
As a family we were all looking forward to this trip! Pick up went well and straight forward. We then stopped for the sunset - again picture perfect. But then it went down from there. The bus broke down (nobodys fault and just one of those unlucky things) but with 2 children getting hungry and sitting in the dark for 50 minutes wasn't ideal. The guide was trying his best to keep us informed on what as happening. Again the bus breaking down wasnt anybodys fault and we were told the restaurant were waiting for us all for dinner. We arrived at the restaurant between 10 and 11pm. All sat at the table and service began. The soup was being served and the staff were going so fast because we were so late and they wanted to finish, that the burning hot soup was spilled all over my 8 year old son as the staff member was trying to pour it into the bowl. Thankfully my son had on his thick jumper by this point and this saved him from being badly burnt. The staff member just said sorry and handed me a dirty cloth. And then continued what he was doing. Between the bus breaking down and then the hot soup being spilled over my child this compleyely ruined the experience for us which was such ashame as the guides and the stargazing were so good but we just could not enjoy it as it should have been. The stargazing itself was really good! And if you were wanting to do it, my only advice would be do the self drive one and do not eat at the restaurant.
Absolutely amazing experience. Your guide Craig was very entertaining, knowledgeable and funny. The information provided during the stargazing was very professional and interesting, but also humorous and lively! Got wonderful photos on the bus ride up and during the stargazing! Highly recommend!
Absolutely brilliant. Superb tour guide night skies awesome. Saw lots of shooting stars &great views of stars &moon through telescopes.
Despite a glitch with our coach, we had an amazing experience. The guides were very knowledgeable and helpful.
Disappointing as bus broke down at sunset stop we were an hour delayed to dinner at restaurant. The food is dreadful there - chicken tasteless oily sauce and two miserable potatoes nothing like real Canarian food at all - would not recommend the dinner element. The toilets (ladies) were a disgrace! No toilet roll no flush worked and filthy - in 2026 no excuse. We paid 90 euro total per person not worth it I’m sorry to say. To add then told three days later the photos taken were not available which is very poor on the tour companies behalf. Sorry to say I personally would not recommend
The guide Craig was great very informative about the island and funny with it . Stopped to watch sunset unfortunately we could not have the glass of cava as the police were present and would not allow it on the national park . The scenery was beautiful . Went to restaurant meal was average soup chicken and carrot cake didn’t eat much of it . Then we were informed that it was too cloudy and could not do the star gazing with the telescopes this was really disappointing!! The company offered us 50% refund . Overall the trip was very disappointing and wasted the last night of our holiday mainly stuck in a coach in the dark going up a winding mountain road
It was really an amazing tour, one for the books. The staff are all wonderful and lovely.Dinner was great and the star gazing experience was really memorable.Seeing the constellation in a dark sky is an indescribable feeling.
This was not only a night sky tour it was excellent as an all round learning about mount Teide and the Canary islands in general. Craig has an excellent knowledge of Teide and the canary islands, our journey up was made enjoyable by Craig's narrative, a memorable end of the tour was seeing Saturn through a telescope and clearly seeing the rings.
Booked through first excursions.. great communication all way through. A once in a lifetime experience would recommend 100% Definitely some wow moments
One of our favorite experiences for our first trip to Tenerife. The views of the stars were humbling and so beautiful. The guide was very knowledgeable about the park and Tenerife history and geography. The staff was helpful and anticipated every need. Will refer all my friends.
Wonderful experience , Craig the guide was extremely informative and witty. It’s a special place seeing the night sky in all its glory. Unique. Thank you for such a great tour. Would highly recommend . The stars and weather weee extremely kind.
Amazing evening. What a fantastic experience with such a great team. Craig was so knowledgeable and threw in a few witty one liners. Highly recommend this trip. So many stars to see and to finish it off with an unbelievable look at Saturn.
We had an absolutely fantastic experience on the Teide National Park Sunset & Stargazing Coach Tour! The sunset views were breathtaking, and seeing the beautiful night sky filled with stars was truly magical. The whole experience was well organised, and the guides were friendly, knowledgeable and passionate, making the evening even more special. The scenery was stunning, and the stargazing was an unforgettable highlight of our trip to Tenerife. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the island. A wonderful experience and definitely worth it! ⭐🌌✨
Pick up and driver good. Unfortunately bus broke down but a new one arrived within 30 minutes so no problem. The meal was disappointing and service was poor. We had advised beforehand that my wife needed gluten free food. The tour guide at the restaurant advised us that the entire meal was gluten free. On sitting down we could see that the starter was soup with pasta and a bread roll. When we enquired the waitress advised us that it wasn’t gluten free. This could have been very nasty for my wife and spoiled the rest of our holiday. The star gazing was impressive although I have previously been on a similar tour and it was more entertaining and moved quicker. It was a very long day.
Really great experience, from the trip to the vulcano itself to the return back home. The whole trip was about 8 hours total from start to end which is an amazing value for the price. The included food and drinks were very good. The guides had so many fun facts and amazing knowledge to share about the vulcano and the night sky. Would totally recommend this to any visitor.
Brilliant trip, definitely recommend. Picked up near hotel, travelled to the volcano picking up others en route (this did take a long time). Watched sunset over mountains with a glass of cava, then on to a lovely meal before the stargazing. Wonderful skies and great talk about the different stars, galaxies and planets we could see. Tip - very cold so wear warm clothing.
We had been on a similar trip many years ago, and wanted to repeat the experience. This was far better than before. My wife was doubtful about going as the last time included lots of walking and standing around, but Kieran assured us that there was very little walking involved on the trip, and so it proved. Our pickup was only 50m from our hotel and the guide, Fabien, was very good. There was lots of information about the island and in particular the formation of the forests. At the sunset stop we had a glass of a very nice Cava while we watched the sun go down behind the mountains. Everyone had their photo taken with the setting sun as a backdrop. We proceeded up to Mount Teide to a restaurant where we had a simple but excellent meal which included wine. We then went outside to the terrace where four telescopes had been set up, all trained on the same part of the sky. We were provided with warm jackets, which were very welcome, as we were outside for quite some time. There were tables and chairs so there was no standing around waiting to have a turn on the telescope. When our eyes had acclimatised to the dark the view of the stars and milky way was awe inspiring. Kieran and the other astronomers gave lots of basic astronomical information about the cosmos and the deep space objects we were seeing. The telescopes were changed to view different parts of the sky several times, and everyone had a chance to view. To round off the evening we all had photos taken again with the night sky as the backdrop. We received the photos, and a timelapse video of the sunset the next day. All in all a brilliant trip.
Kieran, Craig and all the rest of the staff were lovely and so knowledgeable about Mount Tiede, the surrounding area and the night sky. the whole experience was absolutely fascinating and I would highly recommend. As a person with limited mobility I was a little nervous about whether I would manage the evening, however, it was absolutely fine. The ground where we watched the sunset was a little slippery and uneven but you don't have to walk far to enjoy the view. The ground at the stargazing was flat and there was plenty of seating. The stargazing was so well organised that there was very little time waiting for each turn looking through the telescopes (4 in total) whilst plenty of time was given to ensure everyone had a good opportunity to see the amazing sights of the noght sky. Such an amazing experience 💖
Everything was great . The voulcano it self is extraordinary sunset spectacular and and the sky the clearest . I have’t see in my life so any stars . Amazing . The only bad part of it it’s picking up and dropping off… it’s take to much time . We were picked on the beginning so we had to go through all the way collecting all the people a the way and wait on return when everybody it’s off of the bus .
🌌✨ An unforgettable stargazing night with delicious local food! Seeing Saturn and another galaxy was absolutely mind-blowing! 🤩 The only thing colder than space was us! 🥶😂 Definitely a night worth freezing for! 🔭⭐
Mum and two teenage daughters 17 and 18. Lovely trip had by all. The staff were fab, funny, informative and helpful. The coats were a godsend as it did get very chilly up there. The night sky was absolutely beautiful and using the telescopes was an extra treat. Thank you
We were very impressed about the professional guidance and the nice flow during the tour. Very comfortable bus, friendly guides, delicious food. Recommend 100%!
What a fantastic evening. Kieran and team made it extra special from start to finish. The sunset with Mount Teide behind us and La Gomera below was stunning. We enjoyed a meal up in a restaurant in the National Park and then went out afterwards to star gaze. The team talked us through what we could see and pointed things out with lasers. We then viewed some stars, Andromeda galaxy and a highlight for us, Saturn, through the telescopes. Thank you Kieran and team for a really great and memorable night. Would highly recommend!!
This was brilliant and exceeded our expectations. The best evening of our trip, would definitely recommend to others. It’s cold up at the top at the end of the night when you’re stargazing but they give you big warm jackets so we were fine. The sunset was so picturesque and the stargazing was beautiful and the guides gave us lots of interesting info about the planets & stars. Looking through the telescopes was so cool too. Fabien the guide on the bus was very friendly and helpful too. And you get some nice drinks & lovely photos they send on the next day too. They had much better cameras than we did
It was lovely to discover a different side of Tenerife, with its volcanic mountains, forests and clear, starry skies. The staff were so friendly and really went out of their way to make it a memorable experience for everyone
TL;DR: - Just do it, if youre even slightly thinking about it. - WARM CLOTHING AND CLOSED TOE SHOES ARE A MUST - Don't have your camera flash on or a bright phone screen. - This is not a minibus trip, it is a coach trip. Expecting this will ensure your enjoyment! Waiting for the telescopes is not that bad, i promise. And every time?? 1000% worth it!! Doing a dark sky stargazing night has been top of my bucket list for a while. Holy Kachow, Night Skies Tenerife did not disappoint!! I went on 6th October 2026, my tour guide was Craig. I was picked up from my hotel on a coach at about 5:50pm and once everyone (about 50 of us) was picked up, Craig got straight into the Tenerife fact file that is his noggin. He was educational, charming and funny. His information was fantastic and all stuff I had never heard before. Firstly, you stop for cava/orange and the sunset. There were a few other groups but this didn't hinder us. As a solo traveller, I am not always one for having a chat with people so being left to my own devices and being able to go off and take photos was amazing. Nothing felt forced or like you had to join in with anything. So long as you were on the coach after the sun had set they were happy. If you are travelling alone, I highly recommend listening to your favourite song as the sun is completing its setting. There is nothing like it. Craig also took exceptional photos for us, including some candids, so if you just want to enjoy the sunset there's always that option too :) Next you head up for food, I didn't eat so I can't comment on the food, but it looked nice! I was sat alone at this point, so read a book before we went outside. I went outside on to the restaurant patio during dessert, and found a little dark spot to get a head start on taking pictures. I was a bit apprehensive, as the full patio lights were on when I went out so the sky wasnt very clear - i needn't have worried. Once all the lights went out the sight was unreal. Seeing the stars was one thing in itself... However, Kieran was up next for his talk. My goodness, what this man doesn't know about the night sky is probably not worth knowing. He was amazing. He had a lovely voice and was very captivating when telling us about the stars and constellations. We got to use the telescopes 4 different times to view different things (no spoilers just in case!) I tried to go to each telescope so I could speak to each person. All of them seemed to actually enjoy their jobs and not just be doing it for the sake of it. They are good at telling people to turn off bright lights or flashes - try and have these set before you go as it's annoying for everyone to have this repeated! It did get chilly so wrap up warm. DONT EXPECT A COAT, they will try and accommodate you but they don't always have coats for everyone - but with forward planning yo will be fine. WARM CLOTHES AND CLOSED TOE SHOES ARE A MUST. After this you have a starry night photo taken and then youre driven home. Overall, a wonderful night and I would highly recommend. If I come to Tenerife again, I shall definitely return!
