Teide National Park And North Tenerife Private Tour

We booked two private full-day tours with Felix: one to Mount Teide and another around the northern part of Tenerife. Both days were absolutely wonderful. Felix was extremely knowledgeable and planned everything perfectly, making sure we could see the highlights efficiently while still enjoying the beautiful scenery at a relaxed pace. He was also very flexible and kindly accommodated our requests on the spot, which made the tours feel very personal and comfortable. Although we are not native English speakers, his explanations were very clear and easy to understand. We learned a lot about the history, nature, culture, and local life of Tenerife. We would highly recommend his private tours to anyone visiting the island.

Felix was a wonderful guide to the state and national parks. He shared information with us the whole time. He knew about the different types of soils coming from the volcanos and plants. We got to walk in a huge caldera of a volcano. He was very friendly and accommodating. His van is new and very nice.

Felix was a wonderful tour guide. He met us promptly and gave us perfect directions on where to meet him. The weather was terrible, but he was able to put together an itinerary that avoided bad weather and showed us a good deal of the island. We chose the La Laguna option, which was wonderful. He then brought us to a local restaurant for a very authentic lunch at a very reasonable price. The food was delicious and way too much to eat for all of us. He barely paused to breathe while describing various locations on the island. I would highly recommend him.

I was talking to the Viator, told me that company would take me from the cruise ship to the airport and do a tour as we had four hours. But the driver said no he cannot take us to the airport because he wasn’t a taxi. He was a tour guild and he would get into trouble. And he didn’t have enough time to take us to the airport anyways as he had another booking. Viator will not give me a refund so it cost me $313 for nothing totally upset with Viator..

We recently took a trip to Teide Mount in Tenerife, and it was an amazing experience! Our guide, Felix, was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and provided fascinating insights throughout the journey. He knew exactly where to stop along the way. He was friendly and made us feel welcome. The vehicle was clean and comfortable, which added to the overall experience. Felix communicated clearly and ensured we had all the information we needed. The planned tour to Garachico had to be cancelled due to the weather. Our lovely guide, Felix, was able to offer a wonderful alternative tour without any problems. We started in the morning with a fascinating hike in the mountains with a view of Mount Teide. Felix showed us some of the vegetation and the volcano. On the way back, we visited charming little villages and enjoyed a baraquito. Overall, Felix provided perfect and exemplary service.

Felix was an excellent guide, very well informed and interesting. Teide National Park is amazing and everything went perfectly. If you are worried about the windy mountain roads making you queasy on a big bus I highly recommend this private tour. Felix is a very good driver and it was not a problem at all.

Our tour to Teide was good in general. We were picked up close to our apartment in Santa Cruz and had a private tour with a great guide that drove us to various locations in the mountain regions close to Teide national park and then to Teide itself. We enjoyed several short stops and learned a lot along the way. All in all it was a good experience with a high value of quality but it was ultimately a bit too short for the price it costs.

Felix was very knowledgeable and professional . We had a great tour. He took us to very interesting and beautiful places. This is a must do. Scenery was spectacular.

Felix was an excellent guide. We were able to see all the key parts of Teide and a liitleb bit of Laguna on the way home.

We really enjoyed our tour with Felix! He is a treasure trove of knowledge and we learned a lot about climate of the area, geology and volcano activity. We had amazing lunch in local restaurant. He showed us some really cool places, took pictures and sent them to us later. We didn’t go to the cable car to the top because tickets were sold out long in advance, but from what I understood going up might be an option if it’s arranged ahead of time. It was only 4 people in our group so that was a plus. All in all great experience.

This was a nice tour. We were picked up near the our cruise ship and saw every site promised. Our guide knew the best times to be at the nice sites and allowed time to see some additional sites.

We arrived by cruise ship and we were met by Felix. Felix was an excellent guide. His knowledge is expansive and he has an amazing gift of teaching. The van was comfortable and Teide Natural Park was spectacular. We were able to leave the port before most of the tour buses so when we arrived at the Nature Park there were fewer people. Highly recommend the tour. Incredible views.

We were in Tenerife for a day on a cruise and had a great tour of Teide National Park. Felix picked us up from the port, everything was so comfortable and relaxed. We saw amazing landscapes and learned many things from Felix vast knowledge of the island. He knew how to beat the crowds so on every stop we had the view for ourselves. Felix took pictures in the national park and sent it to us after the tour - such a lovely gesture! We had a great time, highly recommended, thank you!

Felix gave us an amazing tour of the National Park and its varying landscapes. He is extremely knowledgeable and conveys information in an interesting and memorable way. He knows exactly where and when to stop, so we missed all the crowds and we got some amazing photos to remind us of a great day. We also asked him to take us somewhere local for lunch. It was a lovely authentic meal and extremely good value too! Felix speaks impeccable English and his minivan was immaculate. We always felt very safe in his hands. Felix, thank you for some amazing memories!

We were a very complicated group with 11 adults + 11 children (3 of whom little babies) but Felix customized a fantastic day tour around our needs. We missed Los Gigantes the previous day as a few kids were car sick so Felix surprised us adding this amazing attraction to the Teide day tour with 1 extra hour for free. He is a smiling and caring person who loves his job and he tried to make us enjoy every minute of the tour. We felt very lucky to have found him, he made everything so smooth and easy and I will definitely reccomend him to all our friends visiting Tenerife! We have no words to thank him for such a wonderful experience!

The spectacular environment of Tadei needs perfect conditions for this visit. This is what is offered here, in particular with a perfect early schedule to avoid full rush. The knowledge and interest of Felix for this unique place is clear and communicative.

Our guide knew everything there was to know about these sites, Tenerife and the Canary Islands. If you want a knowledgeable professional, this is the tour for you.

Our family had a great tour of Teide National Park, surrounding forest, and Los Gigantes. Our driver/guide Felix was excellent, he knew a lot of special stops for viewing and away from large tourist gatherings, and was very helpful. This experience was exactly what we were looking for to explore Tiede and the surrounding volcanic features. I appreciate the pictures he took of us which he shared after the tour.

Nice guide, fun experience, beautiful island, however we were surprised when we paid $70.00 per couple for a simple lunch. We were not expecting a $140.00 bill for shared plates of soup, chicken, croquettes steak tips and wine.

Driving through the clouds and seeing the vegetation and temperature change was interesting. Felix was a capable driver and was able to accommodate our late arrival into port

Hands down, Felix was the best tour guide we have ever had/met. We learned so much about the history of the island; the geology of the island; and even the microclimates. It was crazy to see the clouds rushing over the volcanoes from the north side of the island. Too much to list here. You will not be disappointed. Take the tour. We did the Tenerife North & Teide Tour today and is was just amazing! I did a tour with a different company & guide years ago but this tour was in all aspects outstanding: guide was in time, super clean car, perfect route and spots he stopped, skilled explanation of all details and (since I get easily sick driving in a bus or car) super soft ride overall. The guide also helped us out on our plans for the upcoming days and with the restaurant recommendations since the food in our hotel has been neither tasty nor appropriate for a health/wellness place. Additionally he took some beautiful pics of us which he kindly shared later via email. Thank you so much for such a lovely and enjoyable morning up in the Tide area!

This was our second time using Felix during our visit to Tenerife. We met him a few years ago and when we learned we'd be heading back to Tenerife, I reached out to him via email. He responded immediately and set up a day's tour, making sure that we didn't duplicate anything we did during our last visit. He's completely reliable and trustworthy. Do not hesitate to book him. We will absolutely use him again when we return next time.

We were looking for a private tour that would combine a visit to Mount Teide as well as a stop in La Laguna. We selected One Day in Tenerife because Felix would customize our tour at a reasonable cost. We were delighted with our tour and the pictures Felix took of us during the day. We were picked up at the cruise ship port in a comfortable and clean van and swiftly transported up to the peak. In transit, Felix gave us detailed information about Tenerife and the surrounding islands' history, geography, geology and so much more. He let us experience La Laguna at our leisure. Overall, he was a wonderful informative guide and it was an amazing experience that we would very highly recommend.

At our guide’s recommendation, we began our tour with a 7:30 pickup which was a brilliant suggestion. Felix, our guide, provided an informative commentary on the fauna, geomorphology and geology as each changed with increased elevation or location. On what would later be a very busy Sunday, we nearly had the Park to ourselves. It was wonderful.

Felix was a great guide - informative, easy to relate to and communicate with, answered all our questions, took our interests into account during the tour, and gave us unique experiences on the two half days that we spent with him. We felt like we experienced the very best of Tenerife.

After 3 days in Tenerife we were not sure there was much more to see… Felix proved us wrong with a great day out to the Teide National Park. He was great to talk to during the trip and had good knowledge of the area. The views along the way were breath taking and the amount of volcanoes seen during the day was brilliant. I would highly recommend this tour.

The whole area of volcanic rock around the mountain peak, known as the Caldera, is a fantastic sight to behold. Advice- check the weather forecast before arranging the trip there because if it is in a cloud, as often occurs around the mountain peak, I imagine you will not see much. We stopped at the level of the Caldera in marked parking areas and did not venture further up towards the peak on the cable lift (which has a cost), and we were told it was not allowed to clamber up beyond the cable lift to the very top of the peak. There was no sign of current volcanic activity.

Superb tour of Teide National Park with Felix and Oditen Tours. We could not have been better attended to given the tour was a very last minute booking (entirely my fault) and we were so fortunate Felix was available. The tour of the area: started with forest on the way up to the caldera of the volcano(s), and the entire National Park was incredible. Felix is very accommodating and made us feel most welcome. My incessant questions and curiosity from being in such a varied and fascinating topography, very different from what one would expect being on an island, was met with incredible knowledge and passion for this jewel of a park (UNESCO Heritage Site). Felix is a true professional who made the trip informative and memorable. Highly recommended for experiencing this incredible island and all its varied offerings!

Wow!! This was an awesome experience. Our guide Felix de la Rosa was an amazing guide. He was knowledgeable about the island and its formations and geology. His english was very good and he had a great personality. He took all of the pictures that I posted and sent them to us. There were even better pictures but they were too big to upload. He picked us up near the port and then also dropped us off in town so we could roam around before getting back on the ship. I cannot say enough about how helpful he was. Great tour! We had bad weather coming but we were still treated to a great tour, excellent food and lots of insights of the surrounding area. Very professional! Clean car and we left and arrived on time! Highly recommend!!

This tour was just fantastic. Felix, our tour guide, took us to the national park with a stop for a local coffee, which was great and at the end of the tour, he took us to a local restaurant which provided us with great, honest food, which we liked a lot. The tour of the national park included some stops which provided views of the El Teide volcano and the surrounding scenery. What we didn't know was that the national park is surrounded by a very large forrest area which was great to see. Felix was very friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed this tour very much and can highly recommend it.

After 2014 it was the second time we did a trip with Felix. This time we visited the North. Again it was a wonderful trip. Thank you so much, Felix.

As well as being informative and educational, it was also fun. One of the highlights of our holiday. We visited the north of the island. We had the opportunity to learn about the different endemic species of plants and birds you can find on this part of the island. Wonderful landscape and delicious food. When staying in Tenerife in June 2021 we were looking for a local guide to explore the island. When we found Felix and ODITEN we did not yet know that it was the perfect match! The communication beforehand was perfect and with a few messages Felix tailored a 1 day tour individually to our wishes. He picked us up from the hotel on point and from the first moment on, we knew we made the right choice. Of course you can rent a car, but you will miss out on so much. Felix was full of knowledge and happy to answer all of our crazy questions, his English was fluent and apart from learning so much that day, we also saw the hidden gems of the island - often with no other people around. He also gave us room to just wander around by ourselves, took wonderful pictures of us, and brought us to a super local restaurant where we finally found typical Canarian Food! To top it all off, Felix has a great sense of humour which made the day even more fun. All we can say is: Book a tour with him and see for yourself. Thank you Felix!

I would highly recommend a tour with One Day in Tenerife! Felix was an amazing tour guide, was extremely responsive and helpful on recommending places to go, eat, and explore. He also took a ton of pictures for us on the trip - which ended up being some of our favorite! Felix guided our group of 8 people from 9am - 5pm in a mini-bus and on short hikes (we chose how much walking) from 9a - 5p last Tuesday. His personality, English, and knowledge are outstanding. He explained and pointed out in a pleasant interesting manner all about the island and the volcano. Highly recommend.

A great day, an experience to repeat ,climb in the cable car and ascent to the highest part of the Teide.... Then food in traditional place; Guachinche) and a vinitooooo..... totally recommended.

Delighted with the visit we made as a family. Felix is a very professional and attentive guide. At all times he informed us of the details to take into account in the excursion. The climb to the Teide was a wonderful, highly recommended excursion. In addition Felix meets very well with the children which makes it even more recommended if possible.

It all fit, the weather, the vehicle, the tour and especially our guide Felix. He picked us up close to our cruise ship on time and drove through the Eparanza forest to the volcanic fields to the foot of Mount Teide safely above Sepentine at about 2,500 m. Felix speaks excellent English and was able to explain much in detail to us. Between through we could always walk easier paths on our own, including not the usual spots. Lastly after a good 4 hours Felix took us directly to the ship.

Very interesting hike, wonderful scenery, shame there was the cable car closed and we could not go because of the wind. Competent guide and always available, great to recommend
