Stargazing On La Palma

Lovely evening! Andreas was excellent and rescheduled us twice due to cloud. He took some beautiful photos with us, showed us some of his photography, shared knowledge of the sky and allowed us to use his amazing telescope. Highly recommend!

Andreas is a very enthousiastic guy who took us stargazing at a beautiful lookout point near Los Llanos. With his telescope, he showed us the Moon in detail and told us all about it. Then he showed us Mars with one of its moons en using his lightsaber pointed out several interesting sky objects. It was a very nice evening on which we learned a lot and had a really good time with Andreas. He also showed us his astrophotography art which was absolutely astounding! Would like to do this again when the sky is more clear!

Andreas is a great person with huge knowledge! I really recommend stargazing with him. Sky of La Palma is beautiful. At the end we took a group photo with long exposure time which turned out great!

Andreas very friendly and knowledgable, appreciated the smaller group size (there were 5 of us) and allowed us to space to ask questions and get to know each other a little bit which was nice. Lots of fun seeing and learning about the constellations and how peoples around the world and in history have navigated the night sky. Was not expecting the night sky photography and personal photos of us to keep hold of to remember the experience!! Great location also.

Andreas was very knowledgeable and was very patient. He also sent us some great pictures afterwards. Location was well chosen and luckily we were able to see a lot, including Saturn.

We were amazed to see the Moon, Venus, Mars and other planets through the lenses of two telescopes. It was also very interesting to learn more about the planets, the distances and our galaxy :)

This great two-hour evening session on a spectacular spot done by a very nice expert in stars and celestial sea navigation. Actually, this lookout area is very close to downtown Los Llanos (approx. ten minutes by car). Some street twisting at the wheel is necessary, so we rehearsed the route all the way earlier in the day with a navigating device. That gave us the extra bonus of the truly awesome (daytime...) view straight into the Caldera de Taburiente. The last hundred meters, or so, on the way up are challenging for the driver because this upper bit of the trail is cast as two concrete tracks that you need to pay attention to keep on. Then, when driving back after stargazing, it's advised to be extra careful to avoid ruining anything on the front of the car. For the same reason and obviously in the dark at that point.

Unfortunately was cancelled due to cloudy skies but communication was excellent and refund issued immediately

Andreas has a great way to combine interesting information and creating a nice atmosphere for the group. You could witness that this is his passion and he enjoys teaching and interacting with the group. He was fluently switching between English, Spanish and German and made sure everyone was able to understand. I can fully recommend this experience, learned a lot and it was fun every single minute.

Watching stars and planets through telescope. Getting basic and advanced explanstions. We saw Saturn, mercur, jupiter, mars and the fog of orion. Explanation started basic, but had a good progression. Andreas could answer guite advanced questions too. Andreas spoke well english. The locatiom were close to Los Llanos

Amazing night sky at the viewing point, and Andreas was very knowledgeable, providing info on various stars and planets as we viewed them with a couple of telescopes. Definitely worth a visit whilst in La Palma!

Wow! An amazing experience! We learned about the milkiway, planets, constellations, other galaxies and our location in space. Andreas is knowledgeable, patient and speaks several languages (at least German, English and Spanish). We had a great time and clear skies. Fantastic!

Andreas was very knowledgeable and told us lots about the stars and the galaxy. We used two telescopes and saw Saturn, Neptune and the moon.

Andreas shared his enthusiasm for ‘stargazing’ with us, explained a lot about the solar system and the wonderful starry sky over La Palma. He brought individual objects close to us with his telescopes. Jupiter's brown streaks and stains will never be forgotten!

Erg mooie en leuke ervaring om wat meer te weten te komen over ons sterrenstelsel en wat planeten/sterrencluster wat dichterbij te zien. Je wordt meegenomen in het enthousiaste verhaal van Andreas en krijgt achteraf nog prachtige foto's als herinnering.

Het duizelingwekkende aantal lichtjaren dat wij van de sterren, planeten en andere zonnenstelsels verwijderd zijn en hoe klein de aarde in dit geheel is. Het indrukwekkende aantal hemellichamen dat wij konden zien. Wat een wonderschone wereld! Met dank aan onze enthousiaste gids Andreas!

His high-quality equipment (mirror and lens telescope) gave us a new perspective on stars and planets. A great and informative evening with Andreas. With his friendly manner and great knowledge, he explained the night sky to us in a clear way. Afterwards we took some beautiful photos!

We were unlucky that it was too cloudy that evening. Unfortunately, stargazing could not continue. Communication/contact with the organization was good and clear. Relocation or money back were the options. Apart from the bad luck due to the weather conditions, it was well organised.

A very informative tour of the starry sky on La Palma with Andreas as a super nice contact and guide. Definitely recommended! And finally there are great group pictures as a memory.

A super nice experience. We stargazed from Puntagorda together with our guide Andreas. He had come to Puntagorda especially so that it was not too far for us to drive with young children ( 7 and 10 ). Andreas is very enthusiastic and knows a lot about the stars and planets. Also interesting for the children only you have to translate it for them. Had a very nice night with a nice and knowing guide.

Well, no one came, and we had to go back to the hotel, we lost the money 130 euros and 1 hira one way and another hour back lost

Andreas is fantastic - we had a super exciting and informative evening. He switches between German, English and Spanish (we were a multilingual group) and explains in detail and interesting. It was my husband's birthday and he brought a bottle of wine. A great evening and an unforgettable experience - absolutely recommended!
