Best Stargazing in Fuerteventura: Los Molinos Stone Circle. Experience an authentic journey through the cosmos. Our West Coast stargazing tour takes you to a unique stone circle in Los Molinos, offering absolute darkness with the lowest light pollution on the island for a direct, ancient connection to the stars. Led by a certified IAC Starlight Guide, we provide a complete deep space observation experience using professional telescopes & laser-guided star navigation. We’ll identify constellations, planets, Milky Way (seasonal), and distant galaxies. Listen to the sound of the ocean from our sheltered stone circle, which provides a natural amphitheater against the elements. We provide rugs and blankets so you can relax in total comfort as your eyes adjust to the pure dark sky. Whether you are staying in Lajares or seeking things to do in El Cotillo at night, this is the island’s most dramatic coastal experience. We offer collections from Corralejo, or we are an easy driving distance from the South (Costa Calma and Caleta de Fuste). Observations run every Thursday (excluding Full Moon). Secure your spot to witness the cosmos and enjoy the best stargazing in Fuerteventura.

An amazing evening with Karen from Stars by Night. We were originally booked in for Los Molinos but due to the weather this was not possible. Marisa was great at getting in touch with us to reschedule. We then went on the Corralejo Dunes tour. The experience is everything we could ask for and more. We love looking at the stars and we saw more than we had ever seen in our life! Karen was so knowledgeable and taught us so much about the constellations. We were able to observe several stars and even Saturn which was very cool to see. At first the weather was windy and it was uncertain if we would be able to use the telescope but Karen's infectious positivity and determination meant we were successful. We were provided with rugs and blankets so don't let the fear of it being cold put you off. Highly recommend when in Fuerteventura. Keep looking up!🌟
We booked the stargazing experience + transport as I looove looking at the stars! ✨ Karen is so lovely! She explained everything so well, and looking at the night sky was just such a beautiful experience. I even saw a couple of shooting stars! 💫 This was definitely a highlight during our trip to beautiful Fuerteventura! Thank you!
Hello! 🙂 Together with my wife, we spend our holiday in Fuerteventura 🏖️ by the end of September 2025 and during this period we wanted to take part on a stargazing experience since I found out that Fuerteventura is a starlight reserve 🌠. After checking what possibilities we have in the island we found the company Stars by Night Fuerteventura 🔭 and it was the best decision to join them in a wonderful night under the stars. Mrs. Karen who was our star guide, took us on a remote place with very dark skies called Los Molinos where we made the observation inside an ancient stone circle. The knowledge and the wonderful greek mythology stories provided by Karen were trully the asset of this experience, she was very well prepared in therms of cosmology, a nice and powerful SkyWatcher newtonian telescope 🔭 was bring to the location, binoculars and also we get carpets and blankets to sit down and warm up if was needed. We saw the most beautiful night sky till now, Milky Way 🌌 was very visibe all night, Saturn 🪐, Andromeda Galaxy, The Great Globular Cluster in Hercules, Pleiades 🌠 and many more celestial objects. We highly recommend to everyone who is spending their holiday in Fuerteventura to take part on such a wonderful experience with Stars by Night 🔭, astronomy can make you dream like no other sience. Many thanks once again for showing us a tiny part of the Univers and definitely we'll see us again next time. I will end with a beautiful phrase written by Karen: "Keep looking up and see you under the stars!" 🔭🌌🌠 Deborah and Bogdan from Romania. 🇷🇴
Absolutely loved it. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the night sky and her enthusiasm really shone through. This was a great spot for stargazing with minimal light pollution, and the sound of the ocean in the background. Unforgettable experience - would highly recommend.
Something neither of us have done before and as my wife finds astronomy fascinating we thought we would book on. Very glad we did. It was a great evening! Karen and Dee (hope that’s the way to spell it) were both brilliant. Really knowledgeable and gave great insight into beginners astrology! Well worth going to, but be aware that depending on the cycle of the moon you may have slightly worse light pollution so might not see as many stars, but this is countered by being able to see the moon in great depth which was the highlight for us!
It was great experience, core memory for sure 🤗 i like that we were small group of 8 people… everything was great explained. ✨
We booked this trip about a month before our holiday and so glad we did,we have no experience in stargazing but Karen is so knowledgeable that it didn't matter, its such an amazing few hours I'd have no hesitation to book again when on the island!. A big thanks to Dee the trainee star guide his driving skills let us see parts of the island we didn't think existed 😂.
A fantastic evening out in a darkest corner of Fuerteventura viewing the stars and planets in the universe with Karen and her team for those who do not get a chance to view the sky with a telescope. This is time well spent. Happy to recommend. Had an amazing time.
A memorable and inspiring experience with a lovely driver who picked us up from our door and a very knowledgeable star guide whose passion for the stars was truly contagious. We would definitely recommend booking a tour!
We was here last night and this was one of the most spectacular things we have done on the trip. Your greeted by Karen who gives you the talk about the stars and planets your given a rug and a blanket to lie on once at the site from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave your wanting more Karen is absolutely amazing and her knowledge about the solar system and different stars and planets is second to none I would absolutely 100% recommend you do this I have come away with this wanting to buy a telescope and start Star gazing my self I promise you won't be disappointed and when we return again I will be definitely be going again ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
If you are reading this reveiw to decide whether to book this is trip stop reading now and just book it! We went as a family with our 6 year old daughter and we were blown away by the magic in the night sky. Karen is incredibly knowledgeable and the things we were able to see were literally out of this world. The clarity of Jupiter and some of its moons, Saturn and its rings and sooo much more were breathtaking. You do not want to miss out in this when you visit fuerteventura. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did! ** side note; really do make sure you wrap up warm in the beautiful open space it does get chilly.
Learnt a lot. Our lead guide quickly and frequently adapted her presentation to allow for unpredicted cloud cover. The telescopes were frequently moved to allow attendees to view multiple planets and constellations. Stars were clear and bright and the backdrop of the sea added to the charm. Not suitable for people with mobility issues. Group a little too big but having 2 telescopes enabled everyone to see each focus at least once. Maybe provide a hot drink at the end before everyone departed.
This was the most magical trip I have taken - from the remote location in an old goat farm stone circle to the beautiful night sky without light pollution and our super experienced guide, Karen, this was a truly memorable and moving trip. Karen’s knowledge and passion of the island, working and acting sustainably and ethically, and her knowledge of the night sky was second to none. On our observation we observed planets, constellations and learnt about the different phases of a stars ‘life’, each time with Karen pointing out notable features and patiently explaining the sky in full. This experience was worth every penny and I will be doing it all again when I visit the island later this year.
What an amazing night. Karen our guide was lovely and very knowledgeable about the area, conservation and activities in the sky. Due to the moon’s light the stars weren’t as visible but we still got an amazing view in the telescope of Venus, Saturn, Jupiter and Mars. The Moon was mind blowing and took my breath away. We also saw shooting stars and an enormous bright fire ball. Would highly recommend and would definitely do again.
This excursion is so special. I haven't done anything like that before. The organization is so well done. Due to the weather my original tour had to be postponed and the location changed (Los Molinos instead of the dunes of Corralejo). Now I would love to do Los Molinos again at a different time of the year and the dunes also still :) Karen is a gift as host and guide. She can really switch a light on if you want this. Thus, I cannot rate this tour high enough as it really comforted me in a very special way. Tip: plan it at the beginning of your holiday, so if the weather plays tricks, there is plenty of time for you to get re-scheduled. You wouldn't want to miss it!
Karen you are a gem 💎 thank you so much for the fantastic evening ✨,I haven't stopped thinking about the evening.I have told my family about the trip and are all looking forward to going when they return xx
An excellent evening with Karen (and Peter). Both really knowledgable, very friendly, informative, well organised. The location is perfect - sheltered from any wind & hearing the sound of the sea as you stargaze - in our case, seeing the Milky Way, spotting the Comet, North Star, Pluto + rings and moon, Cassiopeia, Seven Sisters and some shooting stars. The sky is great with no light pollution. The telescope is really powerful and access is shared well within the group. We drove to the rendevouz spot independently and this worked really well. And the photos sent to you afterwards are an excellent added bonus. It was well worth the money. Great value. We would highly recommend and we will probably do it all again next time we visit.
This was a brilliant trip and for me, the best thing we did on holiday. We were lucky to see the 80,000 year comet, the Milky Way and Saturn among other things. Karen was a very knowledgeable guide and shared the information and stories with great enthusiasm.
Just going back over some photos taken from our holiday. The @highlight was our Stargazing Tour. An Amazing evening was given to us by Karen from Stars by Night Fuerteventura . We we're taken up to a 300 year old stone circle in Los Molinos. The island has a UNESCO Starlight Reserve Status. When we got out of the minibus we we're greeted with more stars than I had ever seen. With Zero light pollution on the West Coast and a slither from the new moon the conditions were perfect to humble us into insignificance under the vast Universe. Until you have looked up in a perfectly dark sky do you really not understand the magnitude of the heavens. Thanks to Karen for pointing out the different constellations such as Cassoppeia, Andromeda and Pegasus as well as Venus and Saturn all with the naked eye. She had a vast knowledge of astronomy and how the stars were interpreted in different cultures as well as a deep passion for protecting the earth and the treasures it holds. We saw 3 shooting stars as well as something unexplainable .... maybe a ufo, who knows. Actually seeing Saturn and her rings in the telescope actually made me feel quite emotional. In the first photo we are standing beneath one of the arms of the Milky Way (we saw 3!!) With a rug and a warm blanket, we spent an evening quite out of this world, while viewing many others. If you fancy something a bit different I urge you to go along and feel the awe of this Magestic display with just the sound of the crashing waves in the distance. I will always now remember 'without the darkness, there is no light' Keep looking up!
The most amazing experience ever. Very informative. Excellent guide who explained everything. Will definately do it agan. Highly recommend
What a fantastic experience. Karen was very knowledgeable and we left with a far greater understanding and appreciation of our solar system. We would highly recommend this excursion.
Was unfortunately unable to attend due to a mix up with the pickup locations but received amazing customer service from them and the helped me get a refund in a couple of hours
This was a really fantastic experience with a great host and guide in Karen. Super accommodating and incredibly knowledgeable, Karen gave a great runthrough of the night sky and we even got lucky with a few shooting stars. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone and everyone visiting Fuerteventura, an absolute must do and one of the highlights of our trip.
We had great evening, lying on out backs in an ancient stone circle, with a guided tour of the stars and clusters above. Enjoyed looking through the telesope at the detail not available to the naked eye. Our guide was extremely knowledgable and loved her subject. I would highly recommend this experience. Thank you Karen
Fabulous stargazing trip with Karen. Highlight was looking through the telescope at the moon and Jupiter - was a unique and informative experience. Thank you.
What a night! I had such a good time from our drive to the site to the evening listening to Karen talking us through the stars, we even saw 2 shooting stars! Then the magic came looking at the stars through the telescope, we also saw Jupiter and it’s dark rings & 4 of its moons that was truly breathtaking! I can’t recommend this event enough for those star lovers out there, even if you’re not it’s a night you won’t forget
We really loved this trip. It was so wonderful to lie in an ancient stone circle and look up at the stars, and be guided through what we were seeing. The laser light that can point out individual stars is incredible. The night photography element was really special too, such a cool photo to have of us with the night sky. Rugs and blankets are provided for everyone so it's cosy, and Karen was a wonderful guide - informative and genuine. This trip was a real highlight of our holiday, I'm so glad we went. I hadn't realised we could be collected from the hotel so that was an unexpected bonus!
This experience was excellent, and exceeded my expectations and then some. The guide, Karen, is extremely knowledgeable and helpful and you can tell she wants you to get plenty from the experience. It was a nice touch to be able to view things through the telescope, and Karen was able to answer any and all questions put to her by people on the tour. I have had a dream for a long time to be able to see the Andromeda galaxy. I was able to do this with the naked eye and through the telescope, and my phone even picked it up for a photo - result! I highly recommend this trip and will be booking again next time I come back to the island.
Took my wife here on her birthday yesterday, she absolutely loved it! 40 odd minute drive to the stargazing location from our hotel in Corralejo, you get blankets (it was warm enough that you didn't even need them when we went) and a chance to stargaze through the telescope and and binoculars. You all lie down in an ancient goat stone circle. Very unique experience would highly recommend - Karen is lovely and a great guide!
During a recent trip to Corrolejo we booked a stargazing evening with Karen @ ''Stars By Night ''. We were picked up by James and taken to a remote area in Los Molinos (approx 30min drive) and along the way our group of 6 chatted and got to know each other. Upon arrival we were greeted by the wonderful Karen who provided us with blankets and mats to allow us to sit or lay down and gaze up in comfort. We then relaxed and let our eyes become accustomed to the darkness as torches were turned off. WOW what a view awaited us as we gazed skyward... it seemed as if every star in the cosmos was withing our view, every direction you looked your eyes are filled with constellations . Karen then began her talk and explained so much about the night sky and what we were looking at, her knowledge and enthusiasm are boundless. using a laser pointer she drew out the constellations and explained the history and mythology behind them all. Giving us a comprehensive appreciation of our view, then we got to use the telescope to observe the gas giants of Jupiter and Saturn, then The Pleiades star cluster (seven sisters) and so much more. All I can say is that if you want to have an amazing and memorable experience whilst on Fuerteventura I suggest you spend a couple of hours in Karen's company and open your mind. 5 Star experience in every way. Thank you Karen, it was so lovely and educational to meet you.
karen advised us it might not be to good because of the clouds , but we decided to give it a go . got to the stone circle it was cloudy , then we turned around ,we were in awe, deep dark night sky , stars glistening , the most amazing sight ive ever seen. got my camera out , but something was amiss, karen phoned her friend simon who in a minute had it sussed (pilot error.) then i clicked away. the telescope came out next and there was jupiter with her moons, then saturn in all her glory. pleiades next , like diamonds in the sky. what an amazing night thanks to an amazing guide. couple of days later karen was in touch asking if i would like to go out to get some night pics, YES PLEASE. she took me to three locations , ive never enjoyed taking pics so much ever ( started in the 70,s with a me super) . im not that good but just like taking pics. Karen advised me on exposures etc. and i was pleased at what i got. she was very approachable , a genuine lovely person. i hope to revisit fuerteventura again for the stars at night experience
Really great experience and very atmospheric location. Karen was a fantastic guide and very knowledgable. Would definitely recommend this activity to anyone visiting the island.
The experience is nice, due to the fact of being in a place watching the starry sky if you normally live in a city. But I find that the price is excessive for the service they provide and the telescope is quite old, nothing to do with other excursions we had done in other places. The guide was attentive, but nothing more.
Our booked date for stargazing was moved to another day so that it could take place under ideal circumstances. From transport to location and explanation of the constellations (with a view through binoculars and telescope) a first-class and very relaxed experience.
The excursion was the most beautiful of all on the island. The guide is a fantastic and helpful person. He explained everything perfectly, it seemed to be in a fairy tale. We lay down to observe the stars, the constellations and the milky way while the guide explained, we saw the constellations with the telescope and even Saturn 🪐 He provided us with blankets to stay warm. The location was beautiful, we were at Playa de Los Molinos, completely dark under a starry sky and the sound of the sea in the background. She was also very kind to take a lot of pictures with the professional camera where Saturn and the Milky Way intertwined. I recommend 1000% this excursion with Karen.
What an experience, in the framework of the Atalayita so incredible... the guide made us see the firmament in another way and everything super enjoyable. I'm glad I saw my island with different eyes
Leuke tour, veel sterren gezien! We kregen ook mooie foto's van de sterren achteraf. Ophaalservice was ook top!
A very special experience, we did not know how many objects from the universe are visible at night with the naked eye. Our children (10, 12, 14) also really enjoyed it. The clear sky gave us a good view of a number of planets and galaxies. The guide knew a lot about this and showed the most beautiful objects through a telescope. A 'night photo' of our family taken with the telescope is a beautiful memory of this evening.
The communication in advance was very smooth and pleasant. We were given rugs and blankets on site so we could lie down quietly. The explanation was clear and easy to follow for all ages. We see enchanted by all the beauty in the sky.
