Great experience, sunset and astronomy from a mountain top. Food and company good also. Be aware food is first stop and early, also no toilets after that. A coach with a toilet would be ideal.

The meal at Reveron winery was wonderful; star gazing itself, although informative was mediocre ( we should have realised that it wasn’t such a good idea given there was a super moon)
It was a great experience, we loved it a lot. The team were professional, helpful, and friendly. I would personally recommend to dine elsewhere beforehand as we did, because the restaurant was too crowded for us and the choice seemed limited. We did not hear anyone in our group complaining about the food though, so this is only an observation.
Dinner was awful, did complain to the server, but he just took the plates away. The Stargazing Experience was okay. Took ages to get a look through the telescopes as over 50 people on the tour. Probably better just to have eater before you go.
Such a remarkable experience, not to be missed . Staff very knowledgeable. The personal touches on this trip such as drinks given to watch the sunset and hot chocolate at the end of your stargazing experience.
The guide was brilliant. The food was basic but tasty. The Cava whilst watching the sunset was amazing. The astronomer was so enthusiastic. Loved every bit of this trip. Highly recommended.
Organisation and experience literally out of this world. Knowledgable talk through the night sky and views through the telescopes outstanding and amazing. Food was a bit basic. The free professional photos made sure the memories of the sights are preserved.
Fabulous night. Very engaging team. Witty banter. Very friendly staff. All of them experienced astronomers and stargazers. Bus was on time. no hidden charges. The food at the restaurant wouldn't suit every though. But I new that from other people that went on the trip before me and I certainly wouldn't let that put me off. I throughly recommend this trip.
Was a lovely experience from start to finish. Hans the tour guide was fantastic. The view was stunning and the star gazing was amazing.
Poor trip, please avoid. Food was really poor, chicken leg boiled with gravy and a small plate of chips for 4 people, we were crammed next to 2 other couples literally touching and completely against covid regulations for the island. The sunset stop with cava was painful, no sunset due to clouds and haze, this was obvious leading us to the trip and no mention was made by the organisers, just ignored, I get it’s Mother Nature but at least provide a prior option to reschedule or have the decency to acknowledge. The star gazing was basic, with 30 people around two telescopes, it took around 15 minutes each time to view 4 different points of interest in the sky, the clouds hindered this massively and again claims of it being 99% clear were rubbished. The only highlight was the happy and informative tour guide on the bus, he was great but sadly not part of why we signed up to the tour. Please avoid, seek a more professional tour.
Food was awful, cheap boiled chicken leg in gravy and a small plate of chips for 2 couples. Despite plenty of room in the restaurant we were crammed next to strangers on tables, completely against social distancing. The night itself was slow, clouds all over the night sky and lots of talking to cover for the lack of star gazing. Despite claims of 99% of clouds below us. The sunset again was blanked out by the clouds and haze rendering a large part of the trip useless and again not acknowledged. The only good bit was the tour guide on the bus who was informative and funny but in no way linked to the stargazing experience we had hoped. Please avoid, seek a more professional company.
Accomodating and well spoken, witty and humourous presentation. Would definitely recommend the trip.
The guide was super knowledgeable and gave excellent explanations about the constellations. We got to see amazing stars, planets and some shooting stars.
This is a trip well worth doing as it will blow your mind!!! Our driver Craig was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly!
Awful. Food was disgusting, chicken was rubber and the waiters were miserable, one even pouring coffee on a friends phone with no remorse. Restaurant was like a dark prison cell despite having beautiful scenic views around. Saw only 2 stars at night on first attempt, second attempt we were parked in a lay by where cars were speeding past every 2 minutes (very dangerous for young kids) and lights flashing constantly so the stars were hard to see when the clouds finally passed anyway. Most of the time was on the coach where tour guide brought on lice as an interesting thing to talk about and then proceeded to kill it in front of everyone (disturbing kids on coach). Highly overrated and could not get a refund. Do not book.
Wow! Struggling to find an appropriate description for the entire evening really apart from Wow and amazing! Picked up from the front of our hotel by a friendly driver in a minibus and expertly taken up into the mountains of the Teide National Park where we joined the rest of the excursion at the 1242 winery for the start of the experience. Don't want to spoil anything by saying what happens next, but suffice to say what you think is normal isn't! These guys really know what they are talking about! The food at the winery is fantastic with a great atmosphere, all with some very palatable accompanying wines. The pinnacle of the evening is worth the wait! Absolutely amazing is an understatement. Such a surreal experience that you may never see again. We highly reccomend this trip to everyone.
It was my husband’s birthday the day we were supposed to do the trip. It got canceled due to rain. Vikki was great with helping us reschedule the tour. My husband and I had a wonderful time at the National Park. All the guides were great and very knowledgeable. That is until my husband and I got shuffled around cars. Someone wasn’t feeling well and we switched vehicles so that they could get back to their hotel. We had no problem in helping them out. One the way back, the tour guide dropped us off at the gas station where we were assured that we could leave our cars by the tour company. The gates were locked and we couldn’t get our car out. The tour guide then pointed out that the other gates might be open and while my husband and I went to check, he went back to the van and drove off! We were locked in at the gas station in the middle of nowhere! The guide could of at least offered to take us to a hotel in the south. We called the police and they said that they could not do anything. We had to sleep in our car in the cold. I have a chronic illness and being forced to sleep in our car in the cold made me feel worse. I became light headed and got several nose bleeds due to being stuck at that altitude. I’m disappointed by the actions of the company for allowing us to be stranded there without offering any assistance. Especially when emailing had been so easy and helpful and Matthew on the way, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I had emailed the company a little over a week ago about all of this without any sort of explanation other than they are looking into it...
If you are an avid stargazer or someone who just wants to see what’s out there, I would recommend this tour for everyone- all levels of experience from beginner to advanced are catered for. The views are breathtaking and the crew explain everything so you know exactly what you are seeing and an explanation about it- the crew are all really friendly and welcoming and sitting around the table having dinner together was a really special experience too. The photograph taken at the end of the tour is one of the most amazing photos I have ever been in!! Wow! With the night sky as the backdrop, it’s truly stunning and a precious memory of my trip. If you are going during the colder months, be sure to wrap up super warm- you’ll need all the layers and warmth you can get up there!!
Had an amazing time, took the father in law for his christmas prestent Thank you to charles and tthe team for another amazing experience
Breath-taking views of sun setting and seeing sun through telescope. Then travelling further up to see the stars and planets in the night sky. The guides were extremely knowledgeable and answered many questions. Constellations stars and planets pointed out and views of Saturn and Jupiter seen through the large telescopes very clearly. Photos taken put on website so no extra costs as with most excursions. Well worth the trip. Can highly recommend.
Viator me confirmó una reserva donde no había plazas, me la cancelaron el mismo día de la excursión porque estaban sin plaza desde hacía semanas. Todo fatal, además el call center de Viator de reservas no sabían darme información y me colgaban
We had an exciting and informative evening with Hans, who told us every mende about the stars and the moon. Everything worked out great, from picking up at the hotel to the typical Canarian food in a small restaurant to stargazing with the telescope at Pico Viejo. The tour with Night Skies Tenerife is highly recommended.
Outsized value for money. Especially for the supposed picnic, which consists of a small portion of medium hot pasta and an industrial bun with coffee or tea. There is cocacola, water and 2 bottles of wine for about 15 pax. The sunset observation was not very well located. We had no perspective on the valley and there were too many trees in between. I'm sure it can be improved in such a spectacular place. The public toilet in the picnic area had no light or cleaning. It was an ugly detail for me that we separated the Spaniards from the rest at the time of dinner and the guides stayed (all 3) with the non-Spanish. Especially when we all understood English perfectly and some spoke it. Then we got up to 2,500 m for stargazing. It is certainly spectacular when you get out of the car, but it was a disappointment to see that they had underpowered, semi-professional telescopes with which you could not see much more than you had already seen in other home observations. For me it was much more the experience of seeing the starry sky than telescope observation. And you can do that with a rental car, going up to Teide at night on your own. On the other hand, they explained everything very well, resolved doubts and everything in a pleasant and fun way. They were punctual in the hotel pickup. There was no shortage of blankets. The poor score is mainly due to the poor quality of the "dinner" as well as the low quality in the observation apparatus, more amateur than professional. I recommend assuming a more reasonable price for what is offered.
