Super informative and fascinating. We went almost 600 meters into the cave and saw lots of cool formations.

Itinerary
• Get into an exciting caving tour of natural interest by UNESCO in La Palma. • You will learn the secrets that Cueva de las Palomas hides. • You will be leaded by an expert guide. Declared as a place of natural interest by UNESCO, and as a natural monument by the Government of the Canary Islands, making it part of the Canary Network of Protected Natural Spaces. The Cueva de Las Palomas cave was formed as a result of the volcanic eruption of San Juan Volcano in 1949. It has more than 10 openings that provide natural light at different points of the route, being some of these former fumaroles through which there were lava and hot sulphurous gases leaking during the formation of the tube. The tube’s dimension is around 3 meters wide per 560 meters length approximately. Its scientific interest is eminently geological and is increased by its biological importance since it hosts a peculiar fauna of invertebrates.

I visited with my parter. They booked it I had no idea what to expect. I was nervous as the start as it’s all a little overwhelming not knowing what we were doing as I thought I was just going to the visitors centre, not walking over the bridges and into the tunnel which was fantastic, the tour guide was AMAZING. She spoke to us all and was really friendly, it didn’t feel like a lesson but I learnt so much. She didn’t rush us or act like she was on a time limit it was our own experience and I really enjoyed it. You seriously do get really good value for money and a life memory. I would highly recommend. Small group as well with maximum of 12 people.
It was a really cool experience. Our guide was very friendly and super enthousiastic. The tunnel was beautiful to visit and we learned a lot!
The experience and guide were great. The volcanic tube itself lived up to expectations. Took me a bit of time to find the meeting point but followed the directoons on the app
Mario was a great interactive guide in the lava tubes. Well worth a visit if you want to learn about the the volcanic history of the area from a locals point of view.
A fascinating tour through the cave.. Our guide, Angel was excellent, explaining the processes of volcanic eruptions in a clear and, and at sometimes amusing manners. Extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his work. 👏
Our knowledgeable guide (Mario) told us practically everything about the volcanic activity in La Palma, especially the 2021 eruption. The lava tube visit was extraordinary - I strongly recommend to take this tour!
Wonderful experience with a qualified guide who provided detailed explanations. Worth the time. To be warmly recommended.
Five out of five for this tour. Angel's knowledge was amazing and his ability to give this knowledge in a relaxed and enjoyable way allowed us to learn much more than we realised. We came away knowing much more about lava tubes, volcanos, La Palma and the other Canarian islands too.
Excellent preparation keeping all safety recommendations due to COVID-19, we felt safe all the time. The tour guide excellent, very good explanations about not only the cave, but also the island that gives perfect context about what you are about to see. Very interesting material and time flew due to the kindness and fun guide . It completely exceeded our expectations. Totally recommended!
Incredible experience. We loved it. Aldara, the guide, was super professional, very kind, and conveyed her passion. Highly, highly recommended.
A good visit to a "lava tunnel," with the exceptional help of Mario, a guide born in La Palma, who explains things very well and provides a lot of (very interesting) information about the island. If you are claustrophobic, it is not your best option. But it is not an excursion where you have to crawl on the ground. You only have to duck a little from time to time, and be careful with the terrain so you don't fall.
I loved this excursion. It is amazing and for the price of the excursion, you also visit the other cave, the Glass one. And the museum which is also very interesting. We had a super fun guide and he conveyed the information very well. It was very hot that day, however, inside it was wonderful!!!
A very interesting story. Very good guide. Told a lot about the origin, what we saw during the trip. Told in a very nice way
Very interesting visit on volcanoes and more specifically on the volcanic eruption of 2021.
The tour was very interesting and our guide made it very entertaining. for the part outside the cave necessarily bring a hat, it was very hot on the lava field
Mario told us with great enthusiasm (and a banana from his own plantation) about the lava tunnels, the eruption, the geology and the special position of La Palma. Highly recommended!
Nos ha encantado la experiencia, totalmente recomendable, espectacular lo que hace la naturaleza y el guía super majo.
Super nice experience and very interesting. We had a nice guide. Been in the corridors of the lava and there was a lot to see. Tip: make sure you have good shoes because the lava stones are very sharp
We arrived at the center thinking of making a spectacular visit that was summarized in 5 minutes of projection and 10 minutes of visit to the tube where you can see practically nothing. Also the price in relation to the visit is quite high. We were charged €8 per person for being peninsulars. Very poor.
Unique experience being able to walk inside a volcanic tube . It is worth hiring this experience and make the visit. You have to book in advance and only two or three agencies do it. Chulisimo
Súper interesante El guia muy amable y didáctico Recomendable pata todas niños y mayores Lo repetiremos si volvemos
Informative, but not overflowing, and at the same time personable, easygoing and entertaining. A completely successful tour! Thank you very much:)
I find it very interesting and not too stressful, as the tour is very compact from the time. Man can still go nicely to the beach afterwards. The experience is limited it is sufficient.
It seems a lie that in that place you can find that wonderful cave and that, in addition, you can visit. I highly recommend going in to see her. It is a volcanic tube formed during the eruption of the San Juan volcano in 1949. But also the visit to the interpretation center is highly recommended.
Excellent experience...very interesting and educational visit. Very good service. Interested in stopping for a while in the cafeteria, breathtaking views and rich and economical food.
Interessante Tour, Führer sehr kompetent. Für Menschen mit Beeinträchtigungen nicht geeignet. Ansonsten sehr zu empfehlen.
Were a small group of 7 people and had a cool guide. In addition to a lot of information about the cave and volcanism in general, also a lot of news about La Palma. Always a casual saying at hand from our guide.
Very interesting guided tour, the speleological guide had particular attention towards us to break down the linguistic limit as much as possible. The hike beautiful, a little 'challenging but really beautiful
All very well, we recommend 100%, it was my partner and I and we liked it very much The guide was very didactic
Special to see a lava flow inside. The guide spoke many languages, including Dutch. Both in the lava cave and above ground got a lot of explanation about volcanic activity. Duration: 2 hours, including 45-60 minutes in the lava cave. Max. group size: 15 people. Book in high season in advance, otherwise most likely no place in the group. Not really suitable for small children, due to the duration of walking / clambering over lava stones (about 1 hour) and the little light in the lava cave.
The signage for the journey and also the directions on the ticket was unfortunately missing. Unfortunately, the satnav could not cope with the given address. When we arrived we were unfortunately not registered with the guide although all dates were booked correctly. Nevertheless, a good evaluation as the tour was informative and individual.
