South Fuerteventura Jeep Tour: Jandia Natural Park & Cofete

very bumpy ride! be prepared for a bruised bottom the next day. but otherwise a very fun trip! great way to see the south of the island if you don't want to drive yourself. amazing mountains views and beautiful beaches. We stopped at Cofete and another spot for swimming, and we went to the most southern point of the island. short stop at a cafe where you could have some food if you like - we just had ice creams

Nice trip, stunning views, very good guide. However we did not have the opportunity to take a lunch (although this was promised on the site). The last visit to a beach was no real succes: swimming was impossible due to the strong current; this could easily have been replaced by lunch in a nice village.

Advertised as 4x4 jeep tour, but they put you into a small van/suv (with tinted windows in the back). When asked about jeeps and upon explaining that we paid for jeep without roof, the “tour guide” started yelling at us “if you do not like this, take taxi and go back”. Never had such a bad experience with a tour before, if you want to enjoy your day, please, do not book this scam tour. I am especially saddened by horribly rude drivers.

We set off in the worst vehicle we have ever been in, uncomfortable, rust bucket, the seats were as thin as paper and there was nothing to stop you smashing your head against the massive `Role Bars`. Our first stop was in the Volcano a couple of miles away and after 30 minutes of chatter about how it was formed we then went on a bumpy road to a lighthouse where we were left to look around it ourselves, then we were off again this time over a much much much worse road where all 4 of us were thrown from one side of the jeep to the other for about an hour, then were were dropped off at a beach cafe and told we were to be there an hour, after this we drove for no more 5 minutes to a small sea side town and we were told that we were now on our dinner break of 1 and a half hours after this we drove for another hour over a much worse road where I thought I was going to throw up over the driver it was that bad, eventually we came off the mountain road to some sand dunes which were 500 yards from our hotel, we stopped there for about 10 minutes and then we were dropped off at our hotel. WHAT AN ABSOLUTE WASTED DAY, that cost us over £100.00,......NEVER NEVER AGAIN.

Was OK but our tour guide was not very informative unless we asked questions He seemed more interested in moving from place to place to get home. Also we were not in a jeep as advertised which also spoilt the experience. No water was provided. We were told when we stopped for lunch to only have a light snack as it was clear he wanted to move on again. Toilet stops were also limited/nonexistant. The last one was only because he wanted to stop to wash his car! Would NOT recommend it. On the plus side the scenery and beaches were fabulous!

Hello , We had made a reservation for Sunday August 15th for a jeep tour of Cofete beach. Saturday evening at 10:09 pm we had been informed by the tour operator that the excursion was canceled due to a technical problem with the pick ups. We therefore agreed by conversation on viator to re-schedule the excursion for this Wednesday, August 18 at 8 am in front of our hotel. But no one has come forward !! We had called the number we had several times and even message in the viator conversation and no response !!! We had to pay 140 € !!! To have nothing in the end. I am waiting for a refund to be made to me as soon as possible !! I am really unhappy with your service !! This is the first and last time I book on your site. I look forward to hearing from you and especially the refund. Samantha

I really enjoyed seeing the spectacular part of the island, on its rough roads, in a classic sturdy Land Rover Defender. We stopped by a little goat farm to feed the friendly animals and feel the lovely fleece of a few friendly sheep amid the flock. Then is was over the saddle of hills to get a spectacular view of the Barlovento coast, before stopping by the splendid, golden but dangerous Cofete beach. After that a 45 minute stop was made at a safe, pretty white sand beach, giving the opportunity to swim. It is accessed down a cliff path, and having a bad leg I decided not to venture but enjoy the view from the top. Walking poles, had I brought them, would have helped. Further along to the low point of headland we stopped by a lighthouse, seeing waves merge in a cross. Finally the lunch stop was made in an authentic little “cube” fishing village, whose simple shapes and colours made for some nice pictures.

We really enjoyed our trip, the journey was mainly off tarmac but cars on that as well. We only went off road the once to get to a nice little beach. The driver was nice, very helpful and always opened the rear door for my wife and daughter. His driving was also excellent. The not so great bit was that we had enough english speaking tourists to fill a jeep but we were all in different jeeps and ours didn’t speak any English, only another 1 driver spoke english, so our journeys were very quiet. We also were not so keen on the lunch, paella wasn’t to our taste and we didn’t understand what if any alternative food there was, our daughter didn’t eat it at all. Overall a nice day out, as friendly as they could be without english, helped by great driving and very courteous. Very worth it

I bought this trip with my boyfriend. On the travel brochure was that this trip is full day with lunch. Unfortunately this trip took only 4 and half an hour including all stops. Meal was basic. The trip wasn't very bad but 59 euro per person is too expensive. I was on few similar trips before where I paid 55 euro per person and those trips were really full day and meals had 3 courses. They shouldn't write "full day" if is in fact half a day.

<p>A good way to visit this part of the island especially as hire car insurance doesn't cover off-road driving and the west coast is stunning.Well-organised and informative. Paco was a very good guide.</p>

Very interesting excursion with very good scenery that is not done at all heavy and with the peace of mind of touring the slopes with an off-road vehicle

I found this excursion very nice. Michele, the Italian driver, is very nice and professional. He told us many tidbits about the south of Fuerteventura and was very kind in taking photos of us. We had fun in the jeep and had a nice swim in Punta Jandia. I didn't give a 5 only because I would have liked to stay longer on Cofete beach, the main attraction of the excursion, and also have the opportunity to swim there.

The tour was absolutely worth the money! Our guide Enrico made the tour a fun experience. Mogul slopes, wonderful views and a few stories about the sights - what more could you want?! Pack a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen just in case and book this tour!

Die Tour (Punta de Jandia, Mirador de Cofete, Playa de Cofete, Restaurant Cofete, Playa Juan Gomez) dauerte knapp 4 Stunden von Abfahrt bis Ankunft am Hafen. Davon wurde ca. 15 Minuten von dem Guide was erklärt. Da ich nicht mit dem deutschsprachigen Guide im Jeep gefahren bin, habe ich mögliche weitere Infos nicht mitbekommen. Die Villa Winter wurde nicht angefahren, obwohl dies in der Beschreibung steht und am Playa de Cofete auch vom Guide noch angekündigt wurde. Der vorausfahrende Guide hat aber anders entschieden und wir sind stattdessen für eine halbe Stunde an einen anderen abgelegenen Strand gefahren. Schade. Das in der Beschreibung genannte Mittagessen ist die mögliche Einkehr in einer Bar in Cofete für 30 Minuten.

La villa Winter on la voit de très loin, le déjeuner n'est pas compris et on a que 25min pour manger Sinon de très beaux paysages à découvrir

The service is incredible, a team of passionate professionals , who take us to discover the most beautiful places on the island , by roads that we can not imagine passing with a classic vehicle . We were given time to take pictures of the island's various viewpoints several times, and even to swim on a breathtaking golden sandy beach. They picked us up in our respective hotels and dropped us off after the excursion , very helpful and courteous. I recommend anyone who wants to make beautiful discoveries to make this excursion to discover the corners of the island in half a day. Thank you for this trip more than perfect.

Super expérience que nous avons vécu un guide qui parle français au top et d’une gentillesse qui a su nous faire profiter pleinement de cette journée. Le trajet en 4x4 pour faire le circuit a fait le bonheur des grands et des enfants. Je recommande vivement vous vivrez une journée inoubliable.

Había quedado con un guía en el punto de recogida, para iniciar la excursión. La excursión se canceló y nadie me avisó, por lo que estuve una hora esperando en el punto, sin que nadie me llamara. Todavía estoy esperando una disculpa o una explicación. No volveré a contratar nada con Viator.

Mi nota es debida a la organización por parte de Viator y la diferencia entre lo que ofrecían y al final se realizó. Nos llegó correo que nos recogían a las 8 y luego, contactó con nosotros el tour operador indicando que vendrían a las 7.05 (hubo retraso y llegó a las 7.20, tampoco fue problema). En el anuncio de Viator indicaba visita a la casa Winter, algo que no ocurrió. En Cofete nos llevaron a la playa y desde allí nos dijeron que la casa hacía tiempo no se visitaba (algo que podrían indicar). Por el resto, la gente de Tara Fuerteventura, muy amable y divertida, de hecho nos invitaron a comer. Tras la mala experiencia del día anterior con Viator, que nos dejaron tirados con la excursión, recomiendo no contratar con ellos.

Esta excursión ha sido satisfactoria en todos los sentidos. Hemos visto cada uno de los sitios que el guía había comentado. Asimismo, el guía hablaba español y tenía un humor excelente que lo acompañaba de un buen trato junto con el compañero que nos llevaba en el coche. Ha sido maravilloso. Sin duda alguna, la recomiendo 100%

La oferta incluía villa Winter,y almuerzo... pues ni una cosa ni La otra. El guía hablaba un español justito y no sé si fue por ese motivo... pero mucha explicación no dió casi se limitó a contestar a nuestras preguntas. Mi sorpresa cuando la pareja con la que compartí l tour me dicen que han pagado bastante menos que yo... una cosa es que sean malos tiempos... y otra cosa aprovecharse

Excursión muy divertida y entretenida con playas y vistas espectaculares, y los guías muy divertidos y amables. Mikele es un experto y se conoce la isla perfectamente.

Nous avons passés une excellente journée, des vues paradisiaques, notre guide Vincent au top! Le repas servi était bon. Nous recommandons vivement cette excursion.

We had a very good day with 4 other vehicles. The places visited are at or absolutely but not essential in 4x4 because many "normal" cars followed the same paths (with admittedly more precautions). We were able to appreciate the organization of the day even if the stops seemed too short at times. Lunch was simple but we ate very well. The team was nice and the experience in 4x4 too.

When I made my reservation, it was confirmed to me that the FRENCH guide would pick us up from the hotel. Fortunately for us, the Welcoming Hostesses at our hotel were very friendly and called TOURS 2B for confirmation of the appointment. The interviewer did not explain the reason for this absence of the guide and offered us a postponement of the date, which we accepted, but 3 days later, a Spanish guide came to us without explanation because he did not speak a word of French. We had no explanation during our excursion since he didn't get a word all the way we were in the 4x4 with English who didn't know anything either. during the trip we met people who were doing the same tour and who paid much less than us either 59.00 € per person instead of 63.00 € for us. I am very disappointed in the seriousness of this agency and I will never book again on this site

The idea of taking a 4x4 excursion to a nature reserve was very exciting. Unfortunately, it wasn't in an SUV but an all-terrain van in which we were 8. Big disappointment. The convoy contained about 10 cars and the wild side disappeared in favor of a good timed tour-catcher. The driver Moussa was super friendly and smiling and gave us a lot of information on the scene. The paella of the lunch was little hearty but good nonetheless. This is not THE outing we would advise our friends if they are around.

Boring but at least you saw an interesting part of fuerte, the buggie was slow and run down as soon as you accelerated a little more immediately a reproach.
