We visited the place with 15 month old baby and 22 month old toddler. And… I would love to visit this place on my own to focus and admire the collection of dolls and teddies. Otherwise, my attention was divided between running toddler and exhibition as I was worried about toddler damaging one of the stunning dolls. It’s worth to mention that the place is accessible with double buggy (both buildings). I found the owners story about how the porcelain dolls being made really interesting and would love to learn more about it. So yes - I recommend to visit the place as a family but with older kids.

Located midway up the mountains, in beautiful surroundings of palm trees, lizards and cacti was the perfect setting for this wonderful museum. On arrival, the owner- Georg - was friendly and welcoming and showed us the way to an amazing vast collection of rare dolls and teddy bears. My expectation was that these would be a random mix of toys from across the world when in fact they were all rare collectors toys some of which original works of art with stories attached to them. It felt like we had an exclusive access to a personal collection of unique dolls. Georg’s passion and knowledge was evident as he described the process of making porcelain dolls allowing us a hands on demonstration of the process. We left the museum feeling that we had experienced something unique and found a new appreciation for the art of doll making and the value in the collection. Will we go away and purchase our own limited edition dolls made from a specialist artist? Probably not but it has certainly been a highlight of our holiday so far, away from the hustle bustle of the South in a beautifully tranquil part of the island. Georg was also a glass artist and we couldn’t resist purchasing a few glass angels as presents to put out at Christmas as a nice reminder of a hidden part of Tenerife. If you have a hire car we highly recommend you make the beautiful journey through the mountains to Icod de los Vinos to visit the tiny doll museum and enjoy some of the other picturesque attractions such as the 800 year old dragon tree that this mountainous town has to offer.
I recently visited the ARTlandya and had an absolutely delightful experience. This museum is a hidden gem, showcasing a stunning collection of unique and beautiful dolls and teddies. The owner of the museum was exceptionally nice and friendly, adding a personal touch to the visit. They were more than willing to share fascinating stories and information about the collection, making the experience even more enriching. The variety and beauty of the dolls and teddies on display are truly impressive. I highly recommend visiting the ARTlandya. It’s a wonderful place to spend an afternoon, whether you’re a doll enthusiast or just looking for something unique to see. Definitely worth the visit.
Amazing museum. I would recommend to visit it to everyone when you go to Tenerife. Awesome collection of dolls and teddy bears. The owner told about how dolls made showing us parts of the works. He speaks fluent English, Spanish and German. Not sure about other languages as it was English and Spanish people at that time. There is a shop where you can buy some dolls or teddy bears, some of them limited edition, along with glass works made by the owner.
Amazing experience! Definitely worth to visit. The masterpieces are so beautiful that you will want to have them all in your collection. I found out how the dolls are made. It's a hard work, and I'm impressed by results I saw in this museum. The shop offers great choice of even limited edition of teddy bears. If you like something or would like to get something particular in the future just ask for business card with details. They send the works abroad. Make sure you rent the car or be prepared to walk for about half an hour up to mountain to get there. Apart from wonderful visit you'll get amazing view to the ocean and Teide.
A very enjoyable visit, would recommend it. Goerg, the owner was friendly, interesting & very informative. The dolls and teddies were well presented. Another bonus is, that the museum is in a beautiful location with a gorgeous garden. We will visit again some time.
Artlandya - this is a real house for dolls. The dolls that are here are carefully preserved by George and Ingrid for your acquaintance with them. Handmade dolls. Papier-mache dolls. Porcelain and vinyl dolls. Unique dolls!!! One of a kind. We have seen many museums but this museum is special, unique, unrepeatable, amazing. I really recommend this wonderful place.
Interesting museum placed in a nice garden, and to top it off, amazing insight into the making of these dolls by a very passionate owner. Thanks Georg for our lovely visit!
An incredible unique museum. I have discovered a lot regarding doll collecting and how one is made from clay to beautifully curled eyelashes. The owners are more than happy to describe each doll and tell the story behind it. Many of the exponents are unicate and have an interesting history behind them. Additionally, the museum has a nice garden to enjoy and to admire the view.
Great experience, with enthusiastic owner giving us all details of making dolls. His story makes the dolls alive
Two buildings full of teddy bears and porcelain dolls. Every piece is hand crafted and unique. The visit includes educational program, presenting the making process of the porcelain dolls. Really worth a visit!
It was a very nice experience, even for people not interested in dolls and art. The owner is very nice and he does his best to make your visit great. Nice option when you want to leave the beach and search for interesting places.
Wonderful place, beautiful trip. Very nice Mr. owner. To detail the explanation of the production and tradition of dolls. Highly recommended. Especially with children. The sticks were very excited. Thank you
We just finished our visit to the dollart museum. What a delight. This beautiful property invites you through their doors with a lovely entrance of foliage, gardens and flowers. Once through you are greeted by the owner who take you to the doll house and does a bit of explanation through the first few exhibits. Then he takes you over to the small workshop to explain and show you the intricate process needed to make these beautiful creations. You are then on your own to discover the dolls and their artists. Truly beautiful and a bit awe inspiring when you see the artistic and creative works. Following this you make your way through the lovely trees and gardens and babbling creek to the teddy bear house. Again, so fun and amazing. Finally you can stop at the little outside bar for a coffee and cake or a canaria wine. This was one of the highlights of our month long visit. Highly recommended for everyone young and old.
Great opportunity to see a huge variety of dolls from all over the World. Dolls - made by true artists who dedicated their lives to master this direction of art. Its spectacular to see how much work is dedicated to create a doll and dress it up. Moreover, it's breathtaking, how much creativity was required to genuinely reflect authentic elements from various nations, show ethnical groups characters and present all of that in faces and dress codes. You will see toys of boys and girls between age 5-9 and ageing from 30 yeas back to nowadays. The collection was gathered and maintained by two people (George and his wife) who have decided to share their passion for childhood with others. This will be a small journey into your young days with your family
All the teddy bears and dolls are beautiful, we haven't seen such a great selection anywhere. The tour around the excibition, with information about dolls and the process of making one was really great.
Truly outstanding experience. The dolls are so gorgeous, it seems unreal. The teddy bears are beyond cute. The owners are so attentive and welcoming. It's rear to see someone so passionate and knowledgeable about what they do and also so eager to share it with others. We went there without any particular expectations and left totally overwhelmed. None of us ever expressed any interest to dolls but after visiting the museum we all agreed that we will attend masterclasses as soon as they become available. We would definitely recommend Artlyandya to all, regardless of their age and how much they know about the art of doll making. Massive thanks to the owners for making our day. Dmitry, Valery, Marina and Anna.
We were there on 20.03.26 when it was stormy but sunny. And to amaze, we were the only visitors. Guys, where have you been? You just have to look at the doll museum. So many great dolls and teddy bears made by artists and staged by a wonderful decoration. We were blown away. And since we were the only visitors we could enjoy a small guided tour from the owner where we learned a lot about the production of the dolls. Afterwards we had a cup of coffee. The facility is beautifully designed and there is a shop where you can purchase great things. Among others. Dolls and glass handicrafts of the owner, who is originally from Austria. All in all a really highly recommended place
it is definitely worth it!! I came to this special place via a recommendation from the guide. Even (or especially) if you haven't had much to do with dolls yet, you should pay a visit to this unique museum. The owner gives a private guided tour including explanation of the doll making, there is a museum shop and a cafe to stop. I was a bit skeptical about the topic at first but was taught one much better! Thank you again.
The Doll Museum is literally a show. The high-quality collection of so many and diverse dolls is indescribable. In the annex you can also visit a teddy bear exhibition, which would be impressive enough on its own. The finca, which is a bit secluded on a mountain and where you can find the unique exhibitions, is the dream of every German. As in the doll and bear exhibition, there is a lot of love and passion in this refuge. The buildings, the garden, the view simply unique and recommended to every guest in Tenerife to visit. We were then given a personal tour of the many different types of doll art, its manufacture and shapes. No waiting times. The price-performance ratio cannot be better. You should take 1-2h time for the many small puppy details. The exhibitions are not open all week . Therefore read the current visit times.
Wonderful experience. All very nice and an explanation of how the porcelain doll is made is very educational. We went with an eight year old girl and she loved it. Totally recommended.
La explicación de cómo se hacen los moldes y porque son tan exclusivas. Recomiendo para persona que les guste el arte.
Very nice visit, Special Mood with a small side cabinet of curiosities. And above all a beautiful meeting in the person of George, the owner of the museum, who loves to share his passion. The dolls are very beautiful, do not hesitate to take a look at the shop, there are handmade souvenirs.
Magical place you don’t expect it to be like this: everything clean and tidy with exquisite taste and detail, plus the quality of the dolls, where you can get lost for hours to observe each and every one of their expressions and analyze the manifestation of emotions and feelings
What a magical place! The location of the finca alone - with a view of the sea, beautiful garden, cozy little cafe - is a wonderful oasis! Inside the finca, however, there is only one thing: immerse yourself in the fascinating world of dolls! They are really works of art that are on display here, not toys. There is a very informative guide of the dedicated hosts on the history, production and background of the exhibits. Congratulations on this great project! Tip for hikers: from Icod de los Vinos up the mountain to Santa Barbara, visit ARTlandya and down again - a great afternoon program with constantly beautiful views of the sea...
Georg and his wife Ingrid have created a real gem here in the middle of the Icod de los Vinos hills, a small paradise not only for dolls and teddy bears, but for all visitors from big to small. Even for my two little boys, who aren’t usually interested in dolls and stuffed animals and belong to the “Auto&Technik” group, the visit was a real highlight. And also for us parents: Georg welcomed us warmly and introduced us to the world of porcelain dolls with so much enthusiasm that we were not only smarter afterwards, but also equipped with more eye for the “doll detail”. And you can also see the eye for detail: Every corner of the finca is a feast for the eyes, in the smallest details from the floor on the terrace to the sink in the guest toilets you notice the artistic vein of the landlords and the love of craftsmanship. And on top of that we had delicious Canarian almond tart and the best coffee, (we Austrians know our way around coffee!) It was a pleasure to visit ARTlandya, we would love to come back and can fully recommend a visit to this special place, created by special people, all families and children of all ages!
It is more than a museum, we will repeat without a doubt. I went with my partner to discover the doll museum as it caught our attention and it was a lovely place surrounded by nature with a very special charm. George his owner, we found very nice, close and explained us very well the museum and taught us how to make a doll.
Very nice museum, top landscaped garden. Worth seeing even if you are not interested in dolls. In the garden you can relax and unwind, drink coffee and enjoy the place.
Impressionnante collection de poupée. L’atelier fabrication de poupée est très intéressant. Très bien pour des enfants ou de grands enfants
On this trip we decided to give this most peculiar place we have heard about a chance. And the truth is that it has been one of the most amazing museum visits we have ever experienced. The affection and care of everything in this museum is impeccable and the best thing was to be able to see up close how these dolls are created as a pure work of art. If you’re looking for a different experience, this is certainly a must-see place.
Luckily my wife persuaded me to come with her to this beautiful museum: This finca is more than just any place - it's fairytale and magical. You can admire beautifully staged dolls of incomprehensible value. Almost all of them are handmade and only produced in low quantities. It is particularly nice that the owner takes a lot of time and leads through the exhibition, because behind each doll there is a story or special feature. The production of handmade dolls is also explained in detail. There is a small workshop for this purpose and together with the owner the entire production technology is explained here in a practical way. The small bar and museum shop also have their own charm. Be sure to try it out! So it is worth bringing a lot of time and letting this beautiful place take effect. From today on, I look at the craftsmanship shown here with completely different eyes. Thanks for the great day!
100% recommended. A magical and wonderful place that managed to surprise us very pleasantly. The lovely owners gave us an instructive talk about the doll building process. My daughter is still excited about the experience and keeps talking about that museum where the dolls seem to have a life of their own.
The house is beautiful, has a charming rustic style. The very good reception, very friendly, and taught by the different authors of the dolls, explain some story and are amazing dolls. There is a workshop where they teach you how to make a doll and explain everything very well. There is also a small barbecue to snack on. Very nice Mood. My family and I have to go back, very good assessment.
An all-round successful and lovingly designed museum. Well signposted, parking in front of the door, beautiful, green grounds and a huge doll collection. Many dolls were located in niches, not behind glass, allowing a direct view. The very nice owner from Austria gave us a lot of interesting information and then showed us how to make a doll. Finally we ordered a drink at the bar and were happy two great hours. Highly recommended!
Very interesting explanation of how the dolls are made . For that reason I congratulate those who have organized this work and that we can see these creations so laborious and wonderful and I encourage everyone who likes to go to see them because the truth comes out delighted.
I really liked the explanation of the creation of the dolls from scratch. We are waiting for learning courses to be held to make a porcelain doll.
We loved the visit. The explanation of the dolls, their history and their elaboration .The deal and especially knowing that it is a museum that fights for themselves to follow because it has no subsidy when it is art and thanks to those people we can enjoy and know a pleasure.
The Doll (and Bear) Museum in Icod in Tenerife is an experience. There are so many artistic dolls to admire that we were overwhelmed the first time and went again five weeks later. The finca itself is a blossoming dream, the coffee in the green tastes delicious and the glass art of Ingrid Taupe is also worth a visit. We could spend another stimulating hour in this place - a gem.
Magical visit during our stay in Tenerife. Highly recommended for adults and children. Attention by Jorge exceptional at all times. It introduces you to doll collecting and manufacturing. It is great to see the enthusiasm and commitment with which the museum is created. Great views in typical Tinerfeña estate. Thanks and see you next time!!
Last Sunday we went for the first time and the truth is that it is a place that everyone should go at least once, it is art embodied in dolls, each artist has in each of them his signature, hours of dedication and a lot of work and the result are very beautiful and realistic dolls, the owner of the museum is a super friendly person and explains how they are made and you realize that it is not easy since it takes a long time to make only one. Apart from the dolls there is also a shop where they are displayed to sell glassware that the same owner makes and are very nice things to see, price of admission totally equitable since it costs a lot to maintain something so beautiful that should not be lost. I recommend seeing it because it is so worth it.
I didn’t know the world of doll collecting and found it very interesting. The museum is presented with exquisite taste, the content is very interesting and the best of all the kindness and explanations we have been given. Also the visit is very comfortable because they let you visit it quietly on your own. The best thing we have done in Tenerife
I recommend this visit, amazing experience for us I was a little skeptical and did not believe much in this style of art. It has satisfied me and I have learned from this beautiful experience together with my partner. The host is a great person, human and nice. Explaining and guiding your visitors, we will return without a doubt, grace.
The visit to Artlandya was a birthday present from us for an old lady. She was enthusiastic and also we (male, 42 & 48 years) were very surprised about the variety of different dolls / teddies.. it was worth it and the owner was very friendly and accommodating. Also the talk in the doll workshop about the production was very educational.we will come back to take a closer look at the great garden. On our visitor day was not so nice weather and quite cool.. Definitely unique and recommended..! Also the signage was great and we found it equally good
Super nice beautiful location friendly people and professional explanation.Good explanation about the different artists.
Never thought that a doll museum could captivate me so much. The welcome alone was super and what we saw afterwards was much better. Really beautiful and also the explanation we got afterwards was fascinating and educational and brought with passion by the Austrian owner.
Unforgettable is, in a word. We went to this museum specially from the south of the island. The museum owner is an excellent storyteller. Though in English, he explained it with soul. Showed the whole process of making dolls. We also looked at some of the dolls that are in the world in one copy. Plus there's a separate case with dolls and bears. No regrets at all. It's a great museum, it's just the entrance to it - through the slums.
Visited the kuol museum in Tenerife with family and friends twice, in May and October, and both had exceptional aesthetic pleasure. In addition to a rich and unique collection of diverse dolls, the museum has a small but beautiful area with tropical greenery and a variety of fruit trees, a doll shop and a cafeteria. The museum's owners - Ingrid and Georg Taupe - are collectors of Austria and very hospitable and intelligent people. As they inspect the collection, they talk in great interest and detail about how and from what materials these works are made. After visiting this place, you feel like the day has not been wasted!
We met this place by chance when we went to visit Icod in 2016 and now in 2019 we have returned, of course, we wanted to visit it again. It is a bit hidden but very worth going as it is a beautiful place. The houses, gardens, flowers and, of course, its impressive collection of dolls of all kinds handmade by the best doll craftsmen in the world. All perfectly cared for and ordered with pampering and passion. We have already been twice and when we return again to Tenerife we will return without hesitation to visit this magical and fantastic place. As I said, a wonder of place and a joy to listen to the guide as is the process of manufacturing such works of art. A true phenomenon man, polite, cultured, super kind and a lover of doll art. It is not difficult to find the location but if you are going with GPS the coordinates are (N 28o22'04"-W16o41'37"). 100% recommended.
It was a coincidence that a few weeks ago I saw the sign of this place. After searching the internet we decided to visit it and I can assure you that my expectations did not reach the hundredth of what we saw; it is a unique collection for its magnitude, exclusivity and above all quality in an exquisite presentation. With a final demonstration of the art of doll making. I can only RECOMMEND this visit with capital letters for children and adults who know how to appreciate it
We were fascinated and in love with the museum. George was fabulous in dealing with us, very close and detailed as he explains everything in detail. The setting is very nice and worth 100 X 100 visit. We recommend it to everyone of any age and if you like dolls it can be MAGICAL. The most amazing thing is that my daughter is 19, she has never liked dolls and I hallucinate with the experience.
