Relaxing Horse Riding Tour In Gran Canaria

It was a really nice place and the workers were so kind . There is set times for the tours I had kne with my dad at 3:30 and you go through what seems to be like a countryside bit of the area and it is really nice . You go up and down hills and you control the horse by yourself. The guide is at the front . Before we started we got asked how much experience you have so they know which horse would suit you most . We are 3 people we went there 30 minutes late, because my daughter was attacked by bees and we had to go to the hospital. Arriving there one of the team members didn’t let us to go as its too late, she said come tomorrow same time. We went there the day after she was condescending and said we couldn’t do it. I just want my money back.£100

Lovely walk very relaxing, horses were an absolute gem

I was so looking forward to this and it did not disappoint. I was luckily enough to be the only rider in the tour , so had the whole tour to myself, to go at my pace, or maybe it was the horse’s pace, not mine. I have only ridden a few horses before, but the instructor took me through the reins again, covering the basics. The 2 hour route took us up and down sloops (slight) So could get used to leaning forward and back as needed, and even a short trot The 2 hours flew by, I’m tempted next time to try again and build my Trot skills and build up for the 3 hour to the beech. I would recommend the tour.

Having never ridden a horse before, this was a huge thing to take a horse out for two hours, solè was just wonderful in explaining everything, had a lovely old boy called Rumondo who was great, lovely experience riding in the mountains with the dogs coming with us also, would like to look into doing some work now on horse riding, thanks for the experience.. we loved it :)

My daughter and husband absolutely loved this horse riding trek , Alexia the guide was very patient and calm as were all the horses , You can see from the stable set up the horse are extremely well looked after , would recommend this experience for anyone who loves horses.

It was a very relaxing ride, perfect for new riders. We were a family of five. Andrea, who was our guide was awesome. She was good with instructions, especially when going up and down hills. Beside her, she had two other assistants , who also came with us through the whole journey. The horses looked like they were well taken care of. My kids had a great time..

Booked directly. Sole was our guide and took us for an hour's trek across the rugged terrain. Views down to the sea and over to the airport. Horses were calm which was good as we do not have a lot of riding experience. The weather was sunny and it locations is quite high up so wear sunscreen. Also quite windy, but in no way cold. Riding hats are provided and Sole took photos on her phone and then sent then to us via WhatsApp.

This was a wonderful experience for my daughter and the rest of us. The instructors were very pleasant and the the person who communicated with us via Whatsapp was great and even sent us our video and photos very quickly. The ride itself was lovely and the hour passed quickly. I would say the hour ride was sufficient for us as novices. The turn over was a bit fast and felt a little sad for a couple of the horses who didn't seem too keen on going back out again, but the people there obviously know what they are doing. My horse in particular and a friend's horse too were very lazy :) and found it difficult to keep up with the rest of the group. It was quite funny though! All the horses have distinct personalities :) I think it would be wonderful to offer the opportunity to kids to groom the horses a little and get to know them a little and to take a horse shoe home if they wish. Could be something extra and something for you to think about as an extra business opportunity :) My little girl fell in love with her horse and would have loved to have spent a bit more time in the stables and at the finca :)

Very amazing experience. I booked a 3 hours trip with trot and canter for riders with experience, but they also have shorter trips for those who don't have any experience. They are very friendly and helpful and make sure you have a good time. They take good care of the horses and the horses look healthy. I will definitely come back next time I am visiting Gran Canaria again.

Great Relaxing Horse Ride Through The Beautiful Mountains of Gran Canaria and well taught horses for beginners. Would recommend if you are in Gran Canaria.

Easy to book, friendly guides, safe tour even for people who never have ridden before. Amazing views, tour guides love their horses and treat them well. They took quite many nice pictures during the tour and sent them to us by mail.

Even though Sole Lenassi (the owner) will refute our review and say it‘s not true or that we‘re bad riders, we thought we share anyways to make people aware and think twice: 1. We booked the 2-hour mountain tour and ended up doing the beach tour without being asked. Wouldn’t have been a problem for us if the tour wouldn‘t be 90% of the way on fairly ugly and trashy grounds that are really not enjoyable, definitely not looks wise. 2. The tour was set to start at 16:30 (we actually left around 17:00) even though the time changed to winter time, resulting in us riding the last 30-45min in the dark. 3. We were a group of 6 tourists plus our guide, Enrique. 4 of us were fairly unexperienced, 2 (including my friend) had riding experience of 10+ years. Due to the group constellation and the path we were on, we were mostly walking and sometime trotted a little bit. Completely adequate for the level of us 4 „beginners“. However, having arrived at the beach, the horse of my friend got quite excited and wanted to really start moving. This was not possible though and my friend and to calm the horse down, taking him quite hard so he‘d walk calmy like the others. Unfortunately and to the shock of everyone, at his 4th attempt of lashing out, the horse „succeeded“. It put his head completely down, his bottom up and kicked back with both his back legs, throwing my friend off. She landed under the horse and with all the luck in the world, the horse didn‘t hit her with the back legs and thank god we were in the area with sand and not rocks. She super luckily got away with only a big shock and lots of bruises, but this could have ended up way worse. Enrique didn’t handle the situation very well in saying „oh this was the first time ever this horse did that“ and his only solution to get back was to give her his horse which in his words „is way worse“. Luckily the other experienced rider was willing to switch her horse. Back at the farm, we were sent to talk to Sole (the boss) regarding the insurance. We told her what happened and she didn‘t even say that she was sorry and didn’t ask if my friend was okay. It’s quite sad to be treated this way honestly. As stated at the beginning and having read through previous reviews where similar things happened to other people, they will refute our review and say that things happened another way, that we just don‘t know how to ride or that we‘re drama queens. Either way, 5 people witnessed what happened on October 29, 2023, and this should never happend on a tour that is „for every level“ as they state.

Yesterday I had an amazing (private) tour with Sole into the mountains. The horse I had, Alhambra, was a mare, very kind and friendly and sensible. She was a great horse and she did so well! I enjoyed the tour very much! We just walked with the horses because the paths were very steep up and down and we had to be careful for them. Sometimes the paths were very slippery. But they did so well! The views were astonishing and amazing! From up in the mountains a great view to the sea. Sole told some interesting information about the surroundings. We saw some caves and she told how they lived in the early days. After the ride I gave the horse a nice shower and took her to her paddock. We went on a 2 hours ride in the mountains and really enjoyed our trip. I had ridden a bit before and I was with my husband who hadn't ridden a horse before. It was a really fun experience riding through the countryside and up and down hills. Our guide was friendly and helpful and took some great pics of the two of us which she sent via WhatsApp afterwards! Thank you for a great trip.

First time riding a horse, the experience was good. Clear instruction, so I wasn not afraid of riding the horse. I would say... well spent money on a new adventure.

The riding tour was a complete success for my children. The guide was very experienced and knew well when to support and when the rider could do it alone (both children were beginners). Great, relaxed experience, very friendly riding stable, dear horses. The management also manages responsibly that the range of riding experience - from beginner to experienced rider - is taken into account so that everyone feels safe. There is a briefing, and it is made sure that everyone gets along well with his horse. Only the 1 and 2 hour tours are suitable for beginners, where everyone can participate. If you are already a professional rider, you can also book the 3 hours tour (for this, riding experience is necessary). Thanks, it was a very nice experience.

Really interesting hike. The structure offers different solutions, we carried out the 1h. Route in unspoilt nature. The horses could see that they were well cared for and clean, which should not be underestimated. If you are on holiday in Gran Canaria and you love horses, I think you should stop by Horse Riding Canaria. I will do it again.

Il personale è davvero gentilissimo, sono stati davvero bravi e il costo era giusto per l'esperienza fatta. I cavalli erano stupendi, si possono vedere le stalle,diciamo il contorno fantastico, il giro però così così: Il percorso non era in un bel paesaggio e il capofila era un bambino il cui cavallo era trainato a mano moooolto lentamente. È stato un peccato perché il mio cavallo doveva andare più lento di un passo d'uomo, e continuavo a fermarlo. Non mi sono goduta l'esperienza, non avrei messo un capofila così lento.

We absolutely cannot recommend this riding stable. Rarely seen such unwilling horses. The one (mamba) always walked backwards and had to be put on a leash by the guide afterwards to move forwards. The other horse (Flamenco) had to be worked with the crop to make him move at all, and that's something we don't want to do. That made us very uncomfortable. The crowning glory, however, was that flamenco and its riders suddenly lay down to roll in the sand. Fortunately, the rider jumped off in time. That could have been a bad accident. The uninterested comment from our guide "He likes to roll!" But we had asked in advance if there was anything special to know about the horses. The answer was "no"! Never again !!!
