Puerto De Mogán: Boat Cruise + Dockside Wine Pairing

What a treat this was. We were entertained amazingly well by a delightful couple who obviously loved what they were doing. An hours cruise followed by delicious tapas and wine - wonderful way to spend 3 hours. So glad we booked.

This was the best experience we did in Gran Canaria. I highly recommend it. The boat ride was nice, I wish it were a little longer. The couple were amazing and so knowledgeable about all things Gran Canaria.

We really enjoyed the boat trip and wine tasting with Yellow Boat Mogan. The small group size created a relaxed and personal atmosphere throughout the experience. The selection of local wines was interesting and well presented, and the accompanying local specialties complemented them nicely. We also appreciated the complimentary photos, which turned out great and provided a wonderful souvenir of the day. Overall, a well-organized and enjoyable excursion that offers a nice combination of a boat trip, local food and wine, and a relaxed atmosphere. We would happily recommend it to others visiting Gran Canaria.

This is the second time we have been on this tour and would happily do it again next time we visit Puerto de Mogan. Rubén was a friendly and informative host and the food and wine were delicious! Highly recommended.

I have spent the last month in the Canary Islands, this is by far my favorite. The hosts were knowledgeable, relaxed, helpful, friendly and very accommodating. I can't say enough great things.

The host was absolutely brilliant. The food was exquisite. The wine was delectable. The boat was clean and comfortable. Overall - had a great experience. Would 100% reccomend it. Free beer and soft drinks.

What a delightful way to spend a sunny afternoon - cruising along the coast from Puerto do Mogan to around Playa Amadores and back. That took about an hour and then, for more than two hours, at the dock, we sampled foods and wines from the Canary Islands. Marta and Ruben were super hosts and we learned so much, not just about the food and wine, but about life here on Gran Canaria.

We really loved this experience. The hosts were warm and welcoming. It felt special. Food was thoughtfully selected and beautifully presented. Lovely WC on board which was kindly furnished with feminine products. A kind and personal touch. The wine was excellent although we could have gladly drunk more, especially the semi sweet. We thoroughly enjoyed this trip. Ruben and Marta were so friendly and have put a lot of thought and effort into this experience. The food & wine tasting, following an hours sail along the coast, made it a special trip compared to other boat trips around. Ruben was very knowledgeable about the area and the food and wine. The photos were emailed through later in the day. A lovely idea. We would highly recommend this trip to others. Fabulous!

We had a lovely few hrs. A boat trip along the coast with lots of local knowledge information. Then the wine and food tasting with wines pared with the local olive oil, cheeses, chorizo, fruits and yogurt. It was relaxed and thoughtfully presented by Ruben and his wife. This was definitely one of the highlights of our recent trip to Puerto de Mogan. Ruben and Marta were the perfect hosts , full of enthusiasm . Their passion for what they do was infectious. The boat trip was ideal as it stays close enough to the shore that there wasn't too much rocking and it was very comfortable for everyone, while Ruben imparted his abundance of knowledge about the local areas . The food and wine experience was wonderful , and we all were amazed by the way flavours change when different foods and wine were put together. It really was a 10/10 experience for us and one we would love to do again when we return. Well done to ye both on putting together that's a little bit different and very special.

Great experience with Ruben and Marta. Lovely couple who provided such a nice day out along the coast of Gran Canaria. Such a great service and made you feel welcome. We have found a new love for Chorizo de teror which we have been eating everyday since.

An absolutely fantastic trip with Marta and Ruben on The Yellow Boat. Ruben is an amazing excellent guide with his knowledge of the island and coast line and Marta the experienced skipper. The food and wine tasting was a revelation, the wines paired so well with the food, they enhanced and changed flavours. A really enjoyable trip and a marvellous introduction to wines and foods of the Canaries.

This is a great trip. An hour cruising along the coast, with lots of interesting information about the area, followed by two hours of local food and wine pairing. Ruben was really good at explaining everything and answering questions. Everything about it was excellent, from the spotless boat to the friendliness and helpfulness of our hosts, and the quality of the food and drink. Would highly recommend!

The trip was just as we expected. Marta and Ruben made us feel very welcome. The information about food wine and local area from Ruben was delivered well. Would recommend this trip as must do if visiting Gran Canaria.

Ruben and Marta are amazing guides. Ruben's explanations are very enjoyable to listen to. This tour is definitely the best way to enjoy an afternoon in Mogán.

Ruben and Marta have only been running this food and wine experience since January, although they've been running snorkeling trips off their boat for eight years so know the coastline and the historical and geographical facts associated with it really well. Marta skippered the boat and we were at sea for around an hour. Back in the calm of Puerto de Mogan harbour, Ruben presented a selection of delicious appetisers, cheeses and desserts, each accompanied by a perfectly selected wine. All food and wine was from the Canaries and Ruben was very passionate and knowledgeable. There were only 3 of us on the trip, but their very comfortable boat has ample room for many more. I hope this review goes some way to fill those spaces. They deserve it. A delightful experience which I thoroughly recommend. Thank you so much Ruben and Marta

I booked the boat tour with wine tasting and food online, so did not know much about this company, although I did see good reviews on here. Unfortunately I became ill and could not go on the trip. I contacted them and they kindly refunded the trip for me and my husband with absolutely no problem as there were no more available dates for us. I’m writing this review to show how trustworthy they are. I hope to do the trip next time I’m here!

Enjoyable, informative & relaxing short boat trip. Spacious boat with small numbers, just what I was looking for. We enjoyed the short boat trip highlighting some of the islands’ history and the added bonus of local food & wine tasting. Something we hadn’t done before and was a delightful experience. We wonder if having the food & wine tasting while anchored out to sea would be an option & may add to the experience? Overall we would highly recommend, Rubén & Marta were excellent hosts.

This trip was booked for us as a Christmas present & was money well spent by our son. The couple running this trip were lovely, friendly & spoke really good English. The trip involved about an hour's tour along the coast with information about the places we passed, together with more general details about Gran Canaria. We then moored up back in the harbour for some local food tasting & wine pairing. All of which was lovely. Would highly recommend this to anyone visiting this part of the Island.

We took this trip on the final day of our holiday, and what a way to finish! Superbly hosted, the boat is immaculate, spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed an explanation from Ruben during our trip about many things concerning the island and it is clear he is very passionate. Marta meanwhile navigated us smoothly and expertly during the first part of our experience. Once back in Mogan we commenced the tasting / wine pairing and what an artisanal experience it was! Everything has been careful selected from local producers to pair perfectly with the amazing wines served. It was all fantastic, but the home made yoghurt with mango jam must be tasted to be believed. We general return to Mogan every couple of years, we will make a beeline to the yellow boat next time!

The tour absolutely exceeded our expectations! A very comfortable and well appointed boat (with toilet) and excellent and informative hosts. The local tasting menu with paired wines was simply fantastic. The food was delicious and perfectly complémentéd by the matched drinks. Our host clearly new what he was talking about and all ingrédients had been chosen with great care and insight. Would highly highly recommend, if you like good quality food and wine- this is a must-do!

Great experience with friends and family to enjoy a trip across the sea in Mogán. Marta and Ruben are a wonderful couple of guides. We'll repeat for sure!!

You sail along the coast for almost an hour and learn interesting facts about the land and people. After that, there are usually local products to taste. The tasting is done by the male part and you have the pleasant feeling of tasting THE wine and cheese of Gran Canaria at the end😀

This was a thoroughly pleasant experience. I enjoyed getting out on a boat trip and then being introduced to various local food and wines. The crew, a couple, were personable and professional. The small scale was a surprise, as it was not clear from the description how big a boat or how many participants we could expect. Highly recommended!

We had a fantastic experience on the boat trip with local wine and food tasting! The atmosphere was incredibly cozy – relaxed, authentic and with the most beautiful view from the water. The food was delicious and the wines perfectly matched the dishes. Martha and her husband, who owns the small company, made the experience very special. They were so welcoming, present and passionate about what they do that it all felt very familiar. You could really feel that they are going to give guests a personal and memorable experience. All in all a super nice day – can be highly recommended to anyone who wants an authentic and cozy experience with good food, wine and top-class hospitality!

The tour is a really nice experience. You can tell that Marta and Ruben love to do their work and enjoy it. Everything was great from the welcome to the farewell. The one-hour boat trip by the sea is beautiful and different things are explained by Ruben. The subsequent tasting of local delicacies, with wine accompaniment are also top. We came across this boat tour by chance and can say at the end that it is even one of our highlights of the trip! Ruben and Marta are very friendly hosts and have created a great atmosphere on the boat. Tasting, as well as exploring the coast were a lot of fun and educational at the same time and since Ruben took pictures for us, we could fully enjoy it. A very entertaining exploration of Gran Canaria, which we would book again next time!

It's the second time we've repeated with Marta and Ruben. They are first class hosts, they do everything with lots of love, dedicated and detailed. We have done the excursion as a couple of tasting products of proximity, first we did the snorkeling that is also great. We had a great time. Excellent food, great service. The experience has been amazing, first we took a walk along the coast super nice and then, when we had already reached the port we continued with the tasting. The local products are very good and the guides very nice. 100% recommended.
