Private Catamaran Charter With Transfer, Buffet And Snorkeling

Our experience with Monte Cristo Catamaran was deeply disappointing and fell well below the basic standards expected from a recreational tour service. During the trip, due to what appeared to be poor safety conditions and inadequate management of the environment, I suffered a fall. While incidents can happen anywhere, what made this situation unacceptable was the way it was handled afterward. The individual responsible for operating the vessel failed to demonstrate basic professionalism or responsibility in managing the situation. Instead of addressing the issue appropriately, his behavior added to the discomfort and concern. Additionally, a woman present at the location, who one would expect to act in a supportive and calming manner in such circumstances, responded in a way that was inappropriate and escalated the situation—particularly in front of my wife and child. This created an unnecessarily stressful and unpleasant environment for my family. Rather than offering a simple apology or taking responsibility, the response we received was dismissive and, at times, accusatory in tone, which significantly worsened the overall experience. From our perspective, this raises serious concerns regarding: Safety standards Staff training and conduct Ability to handle incidents professionally Given the nature of what occurred and the way it was handled, we are currently reviewing this matter through appropriate legal channels and considering further action to protect our rights. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this service—especially for families expecting a safe and professionally managed outing.

We celebrated a 50th birthday and it was an absolutely amazing day. Everything was very well organised, we were picked up on time, and the crew were so friendly and welcoming. There were loads of drinks, the food was excellent, and we were lucky enough to see lots of dolphins too. A truly special experience from start to finish.

Our boat trip (9:30 AM) was cancelled at 9:00 AM due to “unexpected waves,” after we had already taken the bus to the harbor. The boat wasn’t even at Playa de las Américas harbor, which suggests this cancellation was known in advance. We’ve done this trip three times before, so the way we were treated was surprising. When we said we were disappointed, the woman in charge started shouting at us on the phone. Completely unprofessional.

Staff were very friendly and constantly asking if we needed a top up of drinks (alcoholic or non-alcoholic). They knew exactly where to find a large amount of whales, although no dolphins. The water was warm to swim in and very clear. I chose not to use the snorkelling equipment provided but I imagine the people who did were able to see a lot. The group size was very ideal as it wasn’t very big and there was a lot of room. The transfer from the hotel was also very efficient. I was hungover and perhaps didn’t get the full benefit but would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a more chilled out boat trip.

Was absolutely amazing the team was great from pick up to drop off. Was kept updated from the day before with collection time, the team on board made sure the entire party was well looked after as a few felt sea sick. Couldn’t ask for a better team would do it all over again.

What an amazing trip. From pickup to drop off we had a wonderful time. Saw pilot whales jumping which was an absolute highlight. The buffet and snorkeling was great we could not recommend this more. Family friendly, my 7 year old was ecstatic. Enough room on the catamaran and the staff were so friendly.

The staff were extremely polite from the beginning. Got picked up by Laura who was promptly on time and was very nice. Michelle led the tour on the boat and was very welcoming, explaining and showing us all the pilot whales and turtles. I wouldn’t worry about sea sickness as I had it for a little while and the cove where you go swimming really freshens you up, there’s seasickness-friendly snacks provided and everyone was very caring, checking on everyone and providing refreshments. The catamaran was very safe and we were given plenty of time to look and take photos. Laura dropped us back at our hotel and we were back perfectly on time. It is such a well organised trip, would definitely recommend and the length of time is ideal too.

Best catamaran trip in Tenerife, highly recommended. If you have a chance to book a trip with these lads,just no consideration go 100% ahead Brilliant 3 hours spend on the boat with loads of whale's and dolphin's spotted,great snacks and loads of beverages, and that's everything included in the price. 5 🌟 rating for the crew, Definitely we are coming back next time todo sunset trip. If you have a chance to change booking from other trips with other providers,I'll say choose Monte Christo.

Excellent crew that was friendly and knowledgeable, managed to get us very close to whales. Provided a good variety of drinks and food onboard, safety equipment for kids and snorkeling equipment for the snorkeling portion Great all around trip

The boat trip was amazing, the service was outstanding, very lovely personnel with plenty of good humor and always ensuring you have the best experience. We managed to see pilot whales and dolphins, so many of them and it was just truly breathtaking. We saw a mother and her baby pilot whale, would have never imagined we would get to experience that. They took us to this beach called the small harbor in English, where we could snorkel and be in the water - they had everything you need, you could go with a life vest or a pool noodle if you don't feel as confident to be in the water. The food was more than plenty - some tapas salamis, cheese, with potato tarte and quiche, some biscuits, fruits and it was enough for everyone. Plenty of drinks too, the transport to the catamaran was also great, very easy for us as they picked us up directly from the hotel and back to it. Honestly, would highly recommend it for everyone. Bear in mind though that some people feel sea sick, and the deeper we go the bigger the waves. I personally didnt get sick but some were feeling a bit unwell. However, the personnel tackled it very well and helped everyone was feeling good.

Great experience, we saw whales and then stopped for 45 minutes to swim in the sea. The staff were really knowledgeable about the wildlife and the service couldn’t have been better! We are only here for a week but we are going to do it twice, I would highly recommend this experience!

Beautiful trip. The team on board is very professional. No noise on board and very animal friendly. We had dolphins and whales very close to the boat. Food and drinks were delicious. We enjoyed the excursion very much and can highly recommend it. Thank you for this experience :-)

Had an amazing time - Boat was beautiful, staff were very nice and can't fault anything - We came across a pod of 60 pilot whales - Was amazing to see - The crewe were all very respectful of the whales. Enjoyed food and drink and really enjoyed our day.

We were picked up promptly at 9:50 and was at the dockside by 10am. We departed the port by 10:15 and with half hour we came across our first pod of dolphins. The captain slowed the catamaran down to a crawl and we was able to see the dolphins quite happily going about their business. We managed to get within 10 foot without causing any distressed and they appeared to be happy with us watching/taking snaps etc. We spent around 10 mins before we left them go about their day and we carried on our trip out to the deeps where the pilot whales were again very visible and happy for us to ride along side them as they made their way to their destination. Again the captain was able to slow the engines right so we able to enjoy the experience. Once done we made our way into a quiet cove where we were fed (taps) and also had a chance to have a swim and do snorkelling. Great day.

We have gone on many boats, my husbands family owns a boat back home. He however got sea sick but the crew on board was very accommodating (and prepared!) with him and other passengers who were sea sick. The waters were some of the roughest waters we had ever been on, so if you are prone to motion sickness, this tour or the rough Atlantic waters probably are not for you. Despite the sea sickness, we enjoyed seeing the pod of whales hanging around our boat, seeing the coast, and swimming in the cove (it was chilly though!) The tapas they provided were very tasty. The boat is large so there was plenty of room to spread out. The crew was very friendly.

The most magical trip! We were lucky enough to see whales and dolphins, but we were really blown away by the service! Edmund (our guide) was fabulous, so helpful and welcoming. Delicious tapas lunch and wine too. Such a gorgeous day!

We were called the day before our trip to arrange our transfer and in the day they arrived promptly at the specified time. On arrival at the boat the crew were very friendly and settled us on board before setting off. The trip was beyond expectations we saw both whales and dolphins and a turtle for good measure. The bay for snorkelling was lovely and the tapas lunch was beautiful . Drinks flowed freely on board and the trip finished off with a toffee vodka shot. A memorable day and very good value.

We had an amazing tour. The staff is very friendly. The boat is super clean and amazing. The first day of our tour was cancelled due to bad weather, but this was promptly informed to us and we were given the option to do the tour next day or get a refund. We took the next day tour, no hassles. The pickup was spot on time as mentioned. We saw dolphins, whales and also turtle during the tour. Lots of time was given to the ample photographs. The staff was very knowledgeable and provided good information. Some people became aware sick during the tour, the staff took care of them very well. The food served on the tour was amazing and there was a great selection of drinks ranging from sparkling wine to apple juice. Highly highly recommend them.

Great experience with a small group of people, the crew were friendly and informative. We seen some dolphins that swam and played along the boat for about 20 mins. Had some great tapas lunch and a great selection of drinks throughout the 3 hours. This is a great high class experience as you are not packed in on a booze cruise style boat, like some others. The front of the boat is quite and relaxing and has great views of any animals you encounter. The back of the boat is close to the bar and is a bit more lively with good music throughout. We went on the 1pm option that I would highly recommend.

Wow, what a difference. Not all boats are the same I learned. So many boats are overcrowded. No room to walk or move. But thank God for monto Christo!! Great guide on board, great food. Never overcrowded... And everyone can enjoy the whales and dolphins. It makes the experience so much more memorable.. Highly recommend!

We have just returned from an amazing morning aboard the Monte Cristo catamaran. The staff are lovely, make you feel so welcome and are very knowledgeable too. We saw pilot whales and also anchored in a small bay where we were able to snorkel and enjoy great tapas and drinks. We would highly recommend this experience.

We had a great experience with this cruise. Spotted 2 different wales and 2 different dolphin’s. The crew was very friendly and the food was good and the drinks were cold. Meanwhile you could snorkeling in the bay were we stopped for a while. And at the end the captain surprised us with stopping the boat while the sun was lowering into the sea. Thanks for the extra service😊👍

This is a once in a life time experience, the staff are extremely attentive, providing knowledge, catering and an experience second to none. Highly recommended. Best money I’ve spent in Tenerife by far in our many visits to the island Top job Edmond and the captain

WOW what an experience! If I could do this all over again, I would in a heartbeat. Simply superb! All of the staff were amazing, they kept up topped up with drinks, and also topped up with so much information about the area and the marine life. We saw so so many whales it was amazing, I cannot recommend this company and this tour enough. Make sure you do it!

Super grat. Friendly staff, professional. Really one of the best experiences. Also very professional manager. I would definetly recommend taking this tour if you are considering whale watching. They tend do smaller groups which is great, they have variety of food and drunk on board. All very delicious. And once again very very friendly and professional staff.

I went this afternoon with my family. we had the best time. we saw whales and dolphins, which was amazing. the whales had babies that were feeding and so adorable. the tour guides could answer all our questions about the animals. Dani was super friendly and really went the extra mile to make the trip great. it was good being in a small group too. tapas and drinks were great. Nice to get in the water too. thanks so much.

We were looking at not big crowded, intimate trip to see the whales and it was perfectly established from the beginning. Punctual pick-up, friendly staff and extremely nice overall experience. Definitely worth of every penny and more. The captain from Georgia was very nice person and we had memorable afternoon just before be left the Teneriffa. I'm sure, they will sell out even without any endorsment of mine but still, hardly recommended👍

It’s really worth it to spend 10-20€ more for a smaller boat. Cava free flow, Pick Up perfect, a really attentive Crew with good knowledge and a welcome attitude. Seen many whales, great food, great trip! Thank you guys!

Excellent crew and captain; fast, comfortable boat, care taken over local wildlife, and we saw both dolphins (two, bottle-nosed) and whales (LOTS, pilot!) A real bonus to our short break on Costa Adeje. Definitely worth the money - highly recommended.

Excellent Trip, full recommendation. Whales are almost guaranteed, Tapas are fine and if they say "drinks included" they really mean it :-) We had a great time on the katamaran, finished by a nice stop in a small bay to go swimming and snorkeling. Michael and Andres were really polite and had a lot to tell about the whales and their habits.

Staff were really lovely had an amazing three hour tour whereby we saw lots of whales. Was a shame we saw no dolphins! Stopped off at a lovely swim spot and the food was amazing. Would definitely recommend this tour!

Just back from the most amazing day! From the Initial pick up to the drop off, it was superb ! The guys couldn’t have been any nicer . We saw the best array of whales and dolphins , with the crew pointing them all us! Enjoyed a couple of glasses of cava and a swim in the sea when we anchored up! I want to do it all again tomorrow ❤️

Truly a trip to remember. We saw whales and took dip in the ocean. Drank Cava and enjoyed the spectacular view of the island. The staff was incredible and made sure that our family will remember this day forever. Can’t recommend this enough!

We had a really nice trip on Monte Cristo Catamaran! Super friendly and helpful crew. We saw delfines and whales, also learned more about them! Good snacks and drinks as well. I hope that one day we can do this trip again! Thank you guys and good luck!

This trip was amazing.The crew were all kind and helpful throughout offering drinks and food. Me and my partner were really hoping to see whales but obviously nothing is guaranteed in the wild. We were so lucky to see so many all around us! Truly one of the best experiences I could have wished for. We stopped off in a bay for a swim and to eat which ended the 3 hours perfectly. We couldn’t fault one thing. I would recommend this to anyone.

Take off your shoes and enjoy hours in the middle of the ocean, spotting whales and sipping champagne. Life doesn’t get better! By the way, the crew is super-nice and easy-going, and the ship is perfect for its purpose.

If you are in Tenerife and are planning to do a boat trip, THIS is THE one to do. My husband and I booked the Sunset Cruise as a joint Birthday present to each other. Booking through Eva (La Perla) was easy and she explained what to expect. Transfer from our apartment was punctual The driver Cisco was friendly and informative. Full COVID-19 protocols were explained and observed including having the food served to us individually. Captain Xavi and crew Edmund explained safety procedures and then the itinerary for our 3 hour trip. They explained that as the whales and dolphins are wild animals, that they do not necessarily appear on cue! However, we need not have worried, as after a very short period the boat became surrounded by a large family of pilot whales. They proceeded to surface right next to the boat, splashing their tails and generally showing off. They stayed with us for 30-45 mins. We then began heading to El Puertito where we would drop anchor and have our food - a small school of dolphins made an appearance and were bow riding. Food (Tapas style) and drink was excellent and plentiful Cava, beer, water and soft drinks. All in all a memorable experience Would highly recommend

Very professional, informative, helpful, friendly crew. The crew were efficient with respect to CONVID restrictions, and the whole tour was pleasantly relaxing.

From start to finish it was a fantastic trip. We were looked after so well by the two young men on the crew. The transfers were on time and we sailed on time. It was a beautiful day and we were lucky to see many dolphins and whales. The icing on the cake (pardon the pun) is when the crew came out with a cake for my mother in law. The crew and other guests sang happy birthday to her and made her day so special. I can't thank them enough. Even when we left the boat we were greeted by another member of the crew who congratulated her as well as the driver. They went beyond my expectations. I can totally recommend a trip with this company.

It was a nice trip. Lots of whales spotted and dolphins too. When snorkeling there were quite a few fish around the boat. It was a nice tour on a quiet boat. Both the captain and his crew were very welcoming. Nice food and enjoyed the drinks!

Since we had bad experiences with such trips a lot of times, we were a bit afraid that this time it would go wrong again. Luckily we gave this tour a chance! Starting with the punctual pick-up from the hotel included in the price to the drive itself, everything was top. It was constantly asked if we would like to have a drink, the tapas were very delicious and the boat not crowded. We were able to observe some whales, unfortunately no dolphins, but this is absolutely understandable and natural. During a short swim stop we got snorkeling equipment and could observe many fish underwater. All in all a top trip with top atmosphere! No customer clearance! Thanks at this point to the great captain and guide for this experience. Absolute recommendation!
