On-road Guided Buggy Volcano Ride In Lanzarote

We had a blast. Most of the driving is done on paved roads so you do have to navigate cars and bicyclists. The leader did his best to keep us all together but at one point the back of the line got separated from the front and they didn’t know where to go. Some time was wasted as we had to turn around and find them. It was unavoidable due to the number of cars. We stopped a couple of times to look at sights around the island. It was a delightful day overall and the guide clearly loves where he lives. He gave us a lot of good information.

We had a fantastic time on the On Road Guided Buggy Experience and would definitely recommend it. It was a brilliant way to explore Lanzarote and we got to see some amazing sights and places that we probably would never have seen otherwise. Communication was excellent throughout, especially via WhatsApp, which made everything really easy to organise. They also offered a transfer for only €5 per person, which was really convenient and great value. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and gave us lots of interesting information about the island and the places we visited along the way. One thing worth knowing before you go is that there is around a 15-minute walk to the first sightseeing volcano, which involves walking along fairly deep gravel paths. This may be difficult for anyone with mobility issues, and trainers or other sturdy footwear are definitely a must. A really enjoyable experience and a great way to see more of Lanzarote than just the usual tourist spots.

Great price & optional pick-up drop-off at a great price of 5€ per person. The experience lasted from 9am - 12:30pm visiting a volcano and a natural canyon. My group of 2 adults & 2 preteens had a great time. The instructor was friendly and made us feel comfortable as the only all female group. He spoke a range of languages to converse with different tourists. Winderbreaker & goggles were provided and there was an optional purchase for bandana which I recommend due to high wind when driving the buggy! Amazing experience!!

The best experience we have had in lanzarote, we would definitely do it again. Thankyou to our guide for being amazing. Honestly if your debating on booking just do it, the tour will not disappoint.

It's an excursion that "must" be done. Really unique way of seeing part of the island.

Very enjoyable few hours out and about in the buggies. Volcano visit was really good, lots of information given from our guide, Angel, who was very easy to talk to and get along with. Don't forget to wear the goggles provided and take your own face covering, you don't get up to race car speeds but obviously the front of the buggy is open so it can be blustery and dusty at times. Very enjoyable reasonably priced, experience, would recommend to anyone of any age 😊

It was fast, noisy, with a little bit of danger - just what we'd hoped for. We had three generations of our family and everyone enjoyed it. Our guide was very nice and ensured everyone's safety, plus he was really knowledgeable and we learnt a lot too. Would definitely recommend.

Booked on line and had some timing issues for a pick up. Eventually resolved but some what apps needed. Arrived to a long line of other paying and checking in. Had to pay €10 for transfers which we were not aware of. Buggy great and tour guide just led in front. It was a hike to a volcano and about 4 mins of off roading. Weather was poor which dampened the tour. Read the offer and make sure you know what your signing up for.

We arrived as part of a large group (Pick up from port was well communicated.) but one party was late to arrive. Two groups left in buggies while we waited 40 minutes for the late party to arrive, and then finally took off. At conclusion, we returned BEFORE the first groups. Felt we didn’t get the full adventure; we should have ALL left at designated time and the late party required to miss out and catch up. This wasn’t handled well at all.

Fantastic experience, despite the fact we got caught in terrible wind and rain every single one of us loved it! 2 adults 2 children aged 9 and 6 all had a brilliant time!! Guide was excellent and we intend to go again on the off road experience. 100% recommend to anyone! For the price and experience you get it is a must!!

Despite a small delay and a long transfer from our hotel to the pickup point (not their fault where we chose to stay lol) the trip was fantastic! It was NOT clear on trip advisor that you need your driving licence for the guided tour so beware. The tour guides were very helpful in explaining everything and kept in touch via WhatsApp. The transfer cost was just €5 per head round trip so excellent price. The guide, Angel, was such a funny kind man and very knowledgeable about the area and it's history. He showed equal interest in us and our travels. The volcano was spectacular and a real treat. It's a hard slog on the legs so if you have mobility issues this may not be the trip for you. All in all a brilliant experience in a spectacular set of scenery. Thank you!!

Overall we had a great experience. Knowledgeable guide and fantastic scenery made for an unforgettable experience. Plenty of time to take in the stunning, volcanic landscape of Lanzarote from the convenience of the on-road buggy experience.

Make sure you take a waterproof, hat and gloves, no matter how warm it is down at sea level. We were not really adequately protected from the elements but we still had a brilliant time! Our guide, Angel, was wonderful and gave us very clear instructions. He was very attentive to everyone and had a good sense of humour. He also spoke excellent English.

Great way to experience some of the island if u don’t want to spend all day on a coach/minibus. Very easy to drive buggies taking in some fantastic scenery and views. Our guide Angelo was really nice and helpful as well. Would possibly recommend wearing a jumper as well as the windbreak they provide as it gets very windy and slightly cold buzzing around in on open buggy. All in all we had a great 3 hour trip.

Everyone says bring a jacket, do, there are no windows or windscreen in the buggy so its windy! And noisey. It is such fun. The wind and noise adds to the experience I think. You've to drive the buggies out of an underground carpark which is certainly a great way to understand your buggy. Personally as a first time driver of a buggy I found it great to drive on the roads. They are automatic which is fantastic too. Great fun driving through the town and then out into the countryside. Diageo took us to the crater. Park and walk. Its like the surface of the moon. He was so knowledgeable and fun. Amazing sight Back into the buggy and drive to the next point, Las Grietas. We went off road for a bit. Nerve wrecking but so exciting. You think you'll get stuck but you obviously dont. Nice idea for a taster of off road driving. The cracks are such a sight. I can imagine it would get busy when its high season. And the views from the top looking down at Peurto delicious Carmen are amazing. Highly recommend as a day trip with family, especially teens, so different and an interesting way to see some landscapes.

Great day. Slick operation and being inside volcano was like being in space. The reviews that mention quite a lot of walking/physicality are accurate, so do be prepared. We are very able bodied and couldn’t manage some of the ‘hiking’ at the second stop, but still a stunning trip. If you wear glasses be aware you do need to wear the visor given and if the weather’s a bit rough like it was today, then carry something to wipe it down!

Excellent trip! We really enjoyed this activity. The mix between buggy and site seeing was perfect. We had 2 children both enjoyed the trip. I was also impressed with the safety and even provided a booster seat for my 6 year old. Diageo was a brilliant tour guide.

Absolutely brilliant! Our tour guide Angel was fabulous, he spoke to our group in English and French, very informative, took us on a road trip all round the island, we parked up and walked to a volcano, lots of information from our guide. Back in the buggies for a little off roading which was great, another walk to have a look at a canyon which was a great opportunity for photos, then back to the buggies and back to starting point. We were out for hours, the kids loved it, we laughed lots, Angel took plenty of photos for everyone, lots of tips on how to operate the buggies, if we were split up the rest of the group pulled in and waited for us to regroup. Such a fun way to spend the day for all age groups. We were a family of 4, 2 kids aged 15/11. Book this trip, you will have the best time! We loved every minute of it!

Incredible Buggy Tour in Lanzarote! We had an amazing time on our buggy tour around Lanzarote! The whole experience was exciting, well-organized, and a great way to explore the island’s stunning volcanic landscape. A special shoutout to our guide, Saul, who was absolutely fantastic. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone felt safe and had fun. Would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Lanzarote—definitely one of the highlights of our trip!

This was such a fun and unique excursion!! Driving the buggy was awesome- it's easy to drive (automatic) and really exhilarating. It felt safe the whole time, as the guide was very thorough in explaining everything and led the way! Definitely wear long pants and utilize the windbreakers and goggles they provide- it gets pretty cold up there! Seeing the volcano sights and mountains were an unreal experience- literally something we have never seen before and probably won't again! Highly recommend!

Despite a rocky start (one buggy threw itself into reverse, hitting our buggy), we had a great time! Angel was our guide and took us around all the interesting volcanic sites. I would highly recommend this tour, but also suggest that if you are taking it as a shore excursion to make sure your shore time is sufficient for both the buggy ride and the transportation between buggy office and port!

Avoid at all costs. Booked this tour. When checking in they get you to sign an insurance cover. After having no instruction from the guide who didn’t even introduce himself we were expected to drive the buggy from an underground car park with the buggy being parked very tight against a concrete pillar. I carefully moved the buggy out but clipped the pillar removing a small portion of plaster board. The guide screamed and shouted and kept saying you will pay for this. His boss arrived and I agreed to pay the €300 euros but we did not want to proceed as we now longer felt safe with the no communitive guide and his attitude. Apparent the insurance I signed for did not cover dangerous driving which this was clearly not. Be careful. Done loads of these trips before. This just felt like they wanted our money

What a great afternoon out. We all loved it and would definitely recommend it. I only had a t-shirt so borrow a jacket off them which was essential for the faster parts because of the wind.

We had an incredible experience on our side-by-side tour of the countryside and volcanoes in the Lanzapote yesterday! Alot of walking to see an unimpressive hole in the ground. We paid extra to be picked up at the port but decided to stay in town to walk around and shop and have lunch. We had to pay a taxi another 45 euro for the ride back to the port. The ride was fun wish it would have been off-road

This was a great trip and we enjoyed this of a family of four kids aged 14 and 9 Angel our tour guide was great and very knowledgable. I would recommend this trip to explore what you don’t see and all of which is natural beauty.

It was an interesting experience, well guided and explained some facts about Lanzarote. One was able to see the landscape from different perspective.

The buggy tour was brilliant and the guide (Angel) was amazing. He was very friendly, knowledgable and made an effort to speak to everyone throughout the tour. The views were breathtaking. We would recommend this excursion to everyone including families. The walk to the volcano was approx. 20 mins there and then back. Advice would be to take lots of water! Overall amazing day!!

The best experience we had on our Canary Islands cruise. Angel - the guide was great, very knowledgeable and helpful. Will recommend it to anyone! Great way to see the volcano park and the canyon. We had a wonderful time. I never drove a buggy before but we were explained everything clearly and were provided with jackets in case it is cold or windy.

This was by far our best excursion during our vacation in the Canary Islands. The tour guide was great and buggy ride was exhilarating! Then, the walk into the volcano was breathtaking and fascinating. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is because our pick up point wasn’t clear. We were told a location, but had no idea that it was a driver picking us up and spent over 30 minutes walking around actually passing the driver three times.

Amazing experience highly recommend our guide was amazing too (his name was Angel). Well worth it. A must!!

It was a great way to see some volcanos! As a single lady I found it a bit daunting but the driving was safe and it was great fun! The guide Angel was amazing, very knowledgeable and looked after me as I was on my own. Would definitely recommend even if you’re on your own.

Excellent experience, 4 seater well maintained dune buggies. I can see the attraction for families of up to 4, as you can all ride together with just one driver. Buggies are huge amount of fun, safe and all as expected. Great value and will certainly come again if we are in Lanzarote Guide was great, and really informative re the volcano etc etc

Really good trip. The buggies were really fun and the route was well planned to let you have fun whilst being in control. Guide was great showed us the sites and had lots of knowledge. Really enjoyed and would definitely book again !

One of buggies broke before we even left, after an hour n 20mins wait to go and mechanic unable to fix it, a family of four were split , two to ride in our buggy and two in another couples. First holiday without our kids, first Lanzarote excursion and we end up with another bloke n kid in the back! Company need a plan in place if this happens in future, this will avoid delays and mediocre review. Actual guide was fab, excursion was fun, exhilarating on fast road, we would have preferred a bit more off road driving. This review relates to meet up point at Serenity.

Best fun on 4 wheels and great way to see Lanzarote and really enjoyed the volcano walk glad we took water with us
