Mount Teide Stargazing With Dinner

Pick was a nightmare for us as were were on golf Del sur which this company do not cater for pick up so an extra 30 euro each way. Hard to hear guide on bus as sound system was poor. Sunset experience was good but then we were informed the bus had broken down and we had to wait another 45 mins for new bus. This meant the dinner was waiting that extra time. This is where the real problem is….. the food is DISGUSTING . Greasy tasteless soup hard bread rolls rude staff - chicken that was actually turkey leg meat only no breast of chicken in oily clear ‘gravy’ 2 tiny potatoes fired at us by rude waitress. Toilets were filthy flush not working dirt on floor - it’s 2026 it’s just not acceptable we paid 90 euro each for this. Stargazing itself was good but Craig needed amplification as it was hard to hear sometimes. Very late return 1.30 am just wasn’t expecting it to be so late. If I was to do again - no dinner inc for sure. Overall 3/5

Small group star gazing trip with Active Tenerife Wow! The experience was something I’ll remember for life. The knowledge and passion Ben has for his work just transported us to a different world up in the stars. From the social experience of canarian food delights to the technical telescope that could just man on the moon!

Brilliant - 2nd time we've done this trip, this time as part of a much larger group of 11 of us. Food was good and scenary going up Teide was awesome. The stars were incredible to see and Kierans knowledge and telling stories was funny and compelling; and Craig was brilliant as well. You really won't be disappointed folks, well worth the money and a hell of an incredible experience seeing the stars, satellites and cosmos all around. Thanks Guys, will be seeing you again next time we're back in Tenerife. Don Graham

Brilliant experience. Our bus picked us up right outside our hotel Best Tenerife in Las Americas. Trev around the corner from our hotel hooked the whole experience up. Jet skis ect. Fantastic from trev. Explained the whole process down the the final detail. The tour guide i cannot remember his name but he was fantastic (maguel*) i think was his name. Knowledgeable on everything from the volcano history, to the tress and plant life of tenerefe and the history of the island. Very interesting. 1000% reccomend

Night Skies Tenerife provided an excellent excursion starting late afternoon and ending back at our hotel before midnight. The coach stopped at several convenient pick-up points in South West Tenerife and took us up the hills to watch the sun setting into the sea beyond the three Western Canary Islands. Plenty of time for photos with a glass of cold cava each. Then further up into the old crater of Mount Tiede and a reasonable dinner at Restaurant Bambi. After dinner, the two experienced and knowledgeable English-speaking guides and their two assistants had set up four proper telescopes in the car park for amazing star gazing in crystal clear skies with no light pollution. Great to be with guides keen to share their extensive knowledge.

Couldn’t fault it from start to finish, everything ran seamlessly, sun set spot was great and guide and astronomical expert so knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend

Would just like to give a big shout out to Claire at First excursions in Las Americas. She was absolutely brilliant with us when we booked several excursions, shows and trips. This is our first time in Tenerife so she even gave us recommendations on restaurants and different things around our hotel. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the area.

We have been going to Tenerife for over 20yrs twice/ three times a year never been up Mount Tiede this was the year went to First Tenerife after following Matt . We met Richie lovley lad but rather misled us told him I wanted visit Tiede he talked us into the stargazing tour we were led to believe mini bus small numbers but actually 52 seater coach turned up the whole experiance was dreadful!!! Already reviewed on this, we went back i to First Tenerife next day to a lovley lady who I sincerly apologise name evades me (awful cos she was so lovley) it was day of yr xmas night out! she sorted a €50 refund from first tenerife ( Keiran night skies no chance) thank you cant describe how disappointed we were with this trip, we are back in May with our 2 grandaughters (16/ 18) who want to jet ski, paraglide and sail the seas we will defo be back to First Tenerife Excursions but Richie no disrespect maybe listen to what your custmers really want date of travel 12th - 19th Dec

Dreadful experience. We spent two and a half hours on the coach only to be told that the opportunity to take sunset pictures had been cancelled due to adverse weather. We travelled on to the restaurant. I can only assume the restaurant opened specifically for our party. It was cold, and we sat eating without removing jackets - it was too cold. The food was of “school dinner” quality. When we finally arrived at the site to observe the stars, we would see that the temperature outside was 3 degrees. Factoring in the wind chill (it was windy!) meant the actual temperature felt like minus 10. We didn’t even have the option to get warm on the bus, since the driver switched off the engine & there was no heat until we started our return journey. Overall? If you want to spend hours on a coach with short breaks for a very average dinner and some star-gazing in the freezing cold? You might enjoy this. Otherwise? Avoid like the plague!

Never was it said we would have to ride a coach for an extra two hours when picking us up at hotel. Some people met at restaurant which than they did not have to endure wasted vacation time on a bus. If told in advance we could have taken the 15 minute taxi and saved 2-2 1/2 hour on a bus. I could go on however it’s done and mother can do about it. History 👎🏻😠

I highly recommend this excellent experience, everything was great, the coach trip humour, the meal, the watching sunset from above the clouds and of course the stargazing! The guide was incredibly informative, used high end telescopes, helped our phones track stars, great personality shone through his humour. All I can say is take some warm clothes for when you’re at the top of Teidi. Get ready for what you’re about to see! It’s amazing!

Couldn't recommend more. Went in to chat with Lorena in Las Americas. She was beyond helpful not only with booking excursions but with recommendations locally. She explained everything so well giving us so many options and even gave us a number to ring if we needed any help after we left. She was super and I'd highly recommend going in for a chat before booking anything

Great experience! Customer services at point of contact and at event site are very responsive. Can feel that everyone is doing their best so customers would have a memorable time. And we saw some cool celestial objects ! Highly recommend to do your tour with Night Skies while in Tenerife!

Patti was incredible, she was friendly, knowledgeable on all the excursions we booked (3 in total - stargazing, Siam Park and a boat trip to see dolphins and whales) and we were so happy with the trips we booked. It was stress free and we were reassured through the whole process. Thanks for making our holiday to Tenerife so special. We would definitely use Tenerife First Excursions again!!

Well thought-out tour and lots to learn and see. The sunset views were incredible. And wow the night sky, seeing the Milkyway and then Saturn was absolutely amazing. The food provided at the restaurant was traditional and delicious. Tour guides were so lovely and really looked after us. Highly recommended this tour.

Superb company to communicate and book with. Friendly staff that are attentive, polite and knowledgeable. Would recommend to anyone traveling looking to book excursions to get in touch with them.

We were disappointed by the dinner which was not at all good (packed picnic). The guide for the sunset was very nice and knowledgeable as was the one for the star gazing

Review for Tenerife First – Fantastic Company! Kim was absolutely AMAZING – so friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We originally wanted to do the Tenerife stargazing tour at Mount Teide, but there was no availability on the coach. Kim kindly offered for us to join her and her family instead, which was such a thoughtful gesture. Nothing was too much trouble for her, and she truly is an amazing lady. What stood out most is that we never felt pressured or hounded to book anything – it all started from a genuine, friendly conversation. The stargazing tour itself was incredible: the guide leading the excursion was not only very knowledgeable but also had a brilliant sense of humor, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Overall, a solid 10/10 for both Kim and the excursion company. Highly recommend!

A truly breathtaking experience with loads of wow moments. Our Tour Guide Kieran was very knowledgeable and experienced. He answered all our questions in detail and also answered our children’s questions with full explanations which was very much appreciated. The complete end to end experience was very smooth and very well executed. Theory downside for a specifically was the food given that we are vegetarians and do not eat eggs, fish meat or mushrooms so our your choice was a bit limited, but we expected it so we had actually eaten a heavy lunch in the town before going on the excursion. They don’t lie when they say it does get nippy up there the good thing is those puffer jackets are actually very warm. A good thing is that this company does not charge extra for any pictures that they take at sunset point and with the stars in the evening. They also take a timelapse video of the sunset and a picture of all the stars that they showed us that evening and send those to us for free as well via a Dropbox link through WhatsApp. Definitely an experience worth doing and worth every penny. Oh, you also get a hot chocolate halfway through when you’re up there because it is cold. I would advise do not travel with little children (babies or toddlers) because they will get tired. My kids were nine and five at the time of this excursion and by the time we got back to the hotel they were quite cranky and tired but regardless I would still give this a five star rating for this amazing stargazing experience!

Brilliant afternoon trip with a meal included. I went with my boyfriend and we enjoyed every minute. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the local area and this story telling was fabulous. The sunset was gorgeous! Would recommend

The experience was excellent, well organised by Kieran and hosted by Sonja. It is a six hour trip so expect to be back after midnight, we were aware of this before we set off. The meal was tasty with wine and soft drinks We were taken to a viewpoint to witness the sunset which was spectacular, the onwards up the mountain to the star gazing site just as the ambient light was fading, watching the stars appear as the light went was magical! We were then given a tour of the heavens by Kieran, whose knowledge knows no bounds, with the opportunity to view various stars, nebula, and galaxies through telescopes which were set up for us. Overall, an evening well spent. Highly recommended.

The sunset viewing was amazing but, unfortunately, the stargazing was somewhat underwhelming because of the bright moon and scattered clouds. However, it was very well organised and the staff were enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The star pointer wasn’t always easy to follow. The telescopes were much smaller I expected- only 8” - so the images were quite small. My husband’s SkyView app was more impressive!

Daniel was so helpful and friendly. Didnt just take your money for any old trip. Explained which were the best and which was not so good. I sent him a WhatsApp 1 night for a last minute second trip we decided we would like to do the next day and he git it all arranged for us straight away. Highly recommend

The care and service here is just fantastic. We booked a number of trips with Tenerife First Excursions: whale watching, Mount Teide Star gazing and wine tasting. We spoke to a number of members of the team, all of whom were excellent, put particular mention goes to Sarah who clearly cares about you having the best possible excursion. She is lovely. We've been in Tenerife for a month and pass the shop most days - we almost always stop for a chat and always get given good advice on things to do. What really makes a company stand out is when things don't go 100% to plan. I was unwell a couple of days ahead of our whale watching trip. My wife contacted Tenerife First Excursions to see if we could rearrange. Dan could not have been more helpful and rearranged the trip for a day later - completely hassle free. The next time I saw Sarah she asked how I was - the service really is great. If you are booking trips, use these people, you won't regret it.

Brilliant from time picked up, lots of information all the way there. Due to the weather we didn't see sunrise but no one can control the weather. The stargazing and informative talk was fantastic, so much knowledge. We were well looked after, the use of extra coats was invaluable as it was a very cold night up so high and refreshments added bonus. The stars were amazing, such a great fun tour.

We booked our tour with Lindsay who was as always friendly and knowledgeable. She explained the tour and sorted everything for us. As well as answering lots of questions about other trips and places to visit in Tenerife. The tour was brilliant. It was a late night for our 8 and 11 year old but well worth it. The tour guides were friendly and knowledgeable and made the information very accessible to all ages. Highlights of the trip were seeing the moon and Saturn through the telescopes. We would definitely recommend this trip.

What an amazing experience. This was my second time and was every bit as good as the first. The guys are so knowledgeable and informative, you learn so much. I must do a shout out to Kim from Tenerife First Excursions who organised this for us, she is soo friendly, helpful and really knows her beautiful island and surrounding areas. We have booked a number of excursions during our visits to Tenerife and can always rely on Kim and TFE to find us amazing experiences at a great price.

We booked the Teide by night trip through Lorena at the new Las Américas office. Unfortunately the trip was cancelled due to cloudy conditions but Lorena processed our refund straight away with no hassle whatsoever. Hopefully we’ll get to rebook next time we’re back in Tenerife

Full moon was amazing,catch 22 though as it was so bright it was difficult to see the night sky in all it's glory but we did get to see some amazing sights not visible to the naked eye.The guys were very informative,the sun set was incredible,if you want a quite/amazing night,reset and go on this journey you won't be disappointed.

We had an excellent evening on the Tuesday night, meal and sunset great, moon looked amazing but there were clouds so it was cancelled, however options were offered which was amazing and we went back on Friday night, the team are really knowledgeable and gave us a good insight into the stars. It was cold but they provided jackets and hot chocolate, it is extremely well run and everyone involved were great.

Initially we heard of this company through TikTok. We met with Kim who is very friendly and helped us with booking the excursion. The stargazing was amazing and would recommend it to everyone. So definitely give these guys a try when in Tenerife for your excursions.

We were one of those groups with bad luck when it came to the weather, so we basically missed out on both the sunset and the stargazing. It was sad, but the company had excellent routines to just shut the operation down and take us home before anyone got really uncomfortable (note: it’s very cold on the mountain compared to the sun trip you came for). On the bus down, the guide offered refund or rescheduling with no guilt tripping or sentiment at all if you felt that going up again was too much effort. Only thing is like to note to the organizer is that you gave two numbers for the amount refunded. On the bus you said 75%, in the communication the day after you said 66%. I think it’s still very generous, so it doesn’t affect my sentiment, but just a heads up if someone else gets hung up on that in the future. All in all, there seems to have been no issues with the refunding via TripAdvisor either, so I really can’t complain. You did the absolute best you could with weather conditions that was too unforgiving to deal with.

Absolutely great trip. Pre communication was exceptional. I didn't have great expectations for the meal but it was OK and we were lucky to have great travelling companions. The actual event was fantastic. Someone get Kieran his own astronomy TV show! It was a gamble as it was on my 60th birthday and ifbit had been a poor trip it would have been a shame. Photos included where others rip you off. Worth every penny, thank you!

Picked up on time. All guides (and driver) were great and very knowledgeable. Restaurant was basic - really this tour should not include a meal and then it could leave later in the day. Fantastic stargazing. Unbelievable what you can see with the naked eye, all enhanced with the telescopes. We had a great night. Awesome professional photos taken by Craig, included in the price - much appreciated. It is very, very cold up Lady Teide - be warned!
