We booked with Handmade Tours and visited Bodega Los Lirios with our guide Masaquera. A fantastic and enjoyably fascinating experience. Carlota took us on a tour of her bodega, from vineyard to production area and then to the terrace, where she led a tasting of some of her scrumptious wines. Her knowledge and enthusiasm shone through as she described her family history with the vineyard. We found her connection to the landscape and passion for her work truly infectious and inspiring. She talked us through the history of her beloved vines, the process of making wine and topped it off with a fabulous selection for us to try, paired with some very tasty nibbles. We purchased some bottles of (very reasonably priced) wine to take home and enjoy. We bought more than we intended: it’s genuinely that good! Listening to Carlota describe her plans for the future was so enjoyable and we wish her every success. We’ll be back!

We had a great time doing this experience the lady ( the owner ) gave a great tour with lots of interesting information she is very proud & passionate of the vineyard, definitely visit if you get chance, oh & the wine was delicious 🍷🍷🍷
Very interesting and highly recommended
The host was truly passionate about her family winery. We got a Canarian history lesson, oenology lesson, and lovely wine pairing with family recipes. It was a joyful day!
What a great thing to do when visiting Gran Canaria. Our host was so knowledgeable and engaged with the whole tour. We got to understand how wine was produced, walk around the vineyard, visit the cellar where the grapes do their magic and become wine and finally we were back at reception where we tasted the wine and had nibbles. Really well worth a visit. Highly recommend going to anyone.
Excellent tour! Highlight of my trip to GC. The tour guide was very friendly and interesting… as a 30 yr drinker of wine, who knew I had more to learn about it 😁
Familiar friendly atmosphere. Interessting education and tasting. Well spent time. Ingemar Falk Ljungskile Sweden
Did this experience twice, Carlota is such a great guide, wines are very tasty and one of a kind, great tour, not too long, amazing snacks, just incredible area to visit as well! You’re free to walk around the winery and explore.
A great tour with interesting facts not seen in other wine tours. Host was passionate about the winery, it's production and produce. Tasting was great and the cheese platter was tasty! Lots of new and old technology. Worth every penny.
We visited the Bodega Los Lirios winery and were definitely very pleased with our choice. Carlota is a wonderful person and explained the winemaking process to us in a clear and pleasant way. At the end, they offered their excellent wines accompanied by a generous selection of delicious local delicacies! A very beautiful and welcoming environment where we learned about wine and enjoyed amazing flavors! A wonderful experience!
Spectacular scenery. A wonderful host. Very informative. The wines were delicious. The local accompanying food was excellent. Definitely worth a trip to the base of the volcano for a great experience.
The guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable, showing us and explaining everything from the growing of the grapes to the bottling process. The wine tasting was an excellent experience would definitely recommend this when visiting Gran canaria
We had an amazing time at Los Lirios. Our tour guide Eduardo was really nice and passionate, and the tour was interesting. It was cool to see how they operate as a family company, and we loved the wine and homemade food served with it! Definetely recommended!
Very informative and it was obvious our guide is very knowledgeable about her vineyard, willing to answer questions and we enjoyed our glass of wine and local nibbles at end of tour
We really enjoyed the tour: it was very informative and a nice stroll along the vineyards. The wine and food in the end were splendid.
When you think you know so many things about wines, there comes another new and spectacular protagonist to the scenery. We were presented the "Listan Negro" as the characteristic red wine from Canary Islands. Carlotta was so enthusiastic when at presenting her family's farm where they keep their fabulous vineyard. She explained us the origins and all the hard work her family went through in order to consolidate a beautiful product. This dark skinned red grape's wine was gentle at the palate with some notes of cherry and spice also very well paired with some nibbles made locally. I decided to purchase one of this magnificent bottles of red to indulge myself and surprise some friends this next Christmas with an exotic wine. Thanks to Carlotta we had an interesting overview of the Canary Islands wines.
I really recommend this tour, the vineyard is beautiful and set in amazing countryside. The guide was informative and friendly and I liked the wine they make.
Beautiful location, very friendly staff and informative wine tour. Fruity red wine paired well with the tapas portion served. Bought white and redwine bottle to bring home.
Carlotta is a competent and engaging host. The wine was excellent and the home made Canadian nibbles were delicious. Carlotta’s brother helped with wine selection and sourcing speedy taxis back to Las Palmas. The five of us loved it x
Great tour, Carlotta was very knowledgable and brought the experience to live. Would definitely recommend to those interested in wine
Fantastic trip well worth a visit and great value for money Grandma’s food and a wonderful glass of wine included. We got a taxi from Las Palmas and the guide was more than happy to arrange a taxi back if needs be
Lovely visit to this tiny family-owned vineyard. Carlotta is an amazing guide, being both informative and entertaining.
The history! The host!! She knows what she is talking about. Nice ambiance. Good wine and good food. It was a great experience. Thank you!
Great example of how young generations can build up from what left from their ancestors with passion, innovation and hard work! We could easily see the love the owners put in what they do. Two small observations: as it is a wine tasting experience, it might be good to let guests taste more types of wine and provide an explanation of it; also, recommend the owner to be more commercial, at least ask guests if they want to buy some wine!
Little family owned vineyard with very good craftmanship and personal guida centrum by family member
The trip out here was perfect, and I would come back, but without a car or tour bus, it might be tough to get to. I am not sure if you can take the bus up here as this vineyard, Bodega Los Lirios is located at the Bandama Volcano just south of Las Palmas and coming from Maspalomas it was a trip worth it. This is a family-owned vineyard and it has been there for generations that does tapas and they produce white wine and red wine. Lucky us as on our tour we were told that the vineyard only produces 300 bottles of white wine a year. And we were lucky enough to have one. I did end up loving the variety of red wines they had for quite cheap too for a glass (worth the price for a bottle as well). We had probably every dish they offer there as it was part of a tour deal we had. A few of their dishes were tasty, the ones that I did not like was cold fish, wish in general I am not a fan of. I did try it, was worth the experience and am happy to try. But would probably stick to their stews, potatoes mojo sauce. Not only lots of food and tasty local wine but also, we were so lucky to have these great artists playing which created a fantastic atmosphere. They made the afternoon great as they sang great, took a few song requests and just in general were so positive and fun. It did help that the lead singer was half Welsh, so she was able to sing in both Spanish and English which was nice. However, the vineyard venue has a different artist there each week, I think. Moving on to the venue is an open space venue that serves great foods and lots of tasty red wines. If you drink the wine there you must have the “abecado” or Llantén Tinto Crianza 2018 and have to order a few of their delicious tapas. Most of their meals are meat-based so it might not be the best place to eat for vegans. Even without going on a tour, you can go and look at the vineyard but of course, don’t go picking up grapes if they are in season. The staff here were kind and friendly. There is also a parking space there if you want to drive up. Also, other local businesses are outside so you can buy more than just wine there. Check out their website for more things you can do at their venue such as a photoshoot, picnic, meal and wine dining experience
Our guide told us very interestingly about the whole wine production process, we had a great time! We tested a great natural wine!
Nice family winery. Carlotta made a good excursion and told a lot of interesting stuff about grapes and wine.
They decided to put someone in our time instead of us. No apologies, or offer alternative. They lost not only us but we could bring many people to them.
Bodega Los Lirios is a small and unique family winery in a beautiful valley. Our host Carlota was great - she is very knowledgeable and gave us a detailed overview of the wineyards and the winemaking process. Our tour ended tasting delicious wine and tapas which were all locally made. One of the best winery tours I've been to, highly recommend!
A real characteristic Canarian bodega, very good wine. I recommend this visit if you want to have a relaxing and real experience in a curated environment and professional owners.
Cosy small wine farm with excellent servuce. Ms Carlotta was a professional guide. Only 12 e/person incl. guided tour and tasting with snacks. Taxi from Las Palmas (Playa Las Canteras) for six persons only 35e/one way.
Our tour guide was great. A very personalized tour, and she was very patient with all our questions! As a bonus, the light meal served with our wine tasting was great!
My husband and I visited Los Lirios in May and had a lovely tour of the property and the winemaking facility. We were also served a snack of mojo picon (made by the owners grandmother), almogrote, cheese and bread with some Los Lirios wine.
It was lovely a family run business very informative but the guide was wonderful in fact all we met were kind and friendly. We loved that the wine is natural and land has no chemicals a hard working family business producing good quality wine. We will spread the good news to everyone and drink to that plus the tapas with wine after were grand many thanks to you all best wishes Terry and Veronica
We had the good fortune to vist this family run winery. We were taken on a tour of the vineyard by Yurena, who gave us an insight into the history of wine making on Gran Canaria, as well as showing us round the current process. To finish we were given a tasting of their most popular red wine. It was very obvious in her delivery of the tour that Yurena is very passionate about this family run winery and her role in it. We would highly recommend this very informative tour. Not to be missed as this excellent wine can only be bought from the winery.
What a lovely afternoon myself & my finance had... we were took on an informative interesting tour of the vineyard.. we loved listening to the history... the food & vino we had were lovely perfect hosts thank you... it’s mad that this is only 12km away from the hustle And bustle of Las Palmas.. Thank you so much x
very interesting tour with some of the most unusual vines that I have seen on 3 continents. producing complex and tasty wine. The local produce was exceptionally savoury. If you are interested in wine I recommend this tour
A very good and plesant visit to this family wineyard. Good tour with a guide who explaned winemaking in the Canarian Islands and gave a fine tour of the estate and the cellar. Thank you very much for a great experince. The visit can be done as a family, we had children alone for this visit, the were not offered wine, but a soda, they also enjoyed the visit.
We had a great tour and wine tasting at Los Lirios bodega. Yurena showed us around the vineyard and walked through the whole wine making process. Their speciality is young wines, red is especially good. Food they offer to the tasting goes perfect with wine, some of it is made at their home, you can also buy it at their shop. The place is very cozy, makes you want to stay there longer and enjoy the wines.
Everything was great! Wonderful Carlita met us, showed and explained a lot of enteresting facts related to the vine and to GC in general. The food was amazing, vine just wonderful and we bought two bottles to take home in order to prolong this experience and wonderful moments.
We had a fantastic tour and experience! It was great to learn about wine, and how the process works in Gran Canaria, with its its seasons and volcanic soil. The food and wine after was plenty for us and delicious! It's the type of place we'd love to take our friends and family when they visit
We had an amazing time. The tour was wonderful as well as the guide. The food that was served with the wine was also great and the passion fruit was so good.
Compared to 2 other bodegas with wine tasting (and something to chew on), GC was the best tour, explanation, and dedication. Carlotta can handle her affairs and makes very good wines. We were lucky and got to say hello to an uncle who had done pole vaulting. We are normally not fond of rosé wine, but Los Lirio's was good. We ended up with 2 white, 3 red, and 2 pink in the taxi back to the hotel. Thank you very much!
Beautiful, family-run winery. The grape harvest began at the beginning of the week, so we were also able to see grapes and juice in the fermentation vats. The owner is very friendly and gave us a detailed and informative tour through her vineyard and wine cellar. The tasting was well organized. Cheese, olives, a type of applesauce, mojo sauce, and cheese cream were served with crackers along with the wine. Thank you very much for the hospitality.
Very pleasant experience. The guide was incredible and made this an exciting and interesting experience.
The guide, who is the owner, is super helpful, smiling, and knowledgeable Wines accompanied by excellent local food I recommend tasting the 3 suggested wines and not just the one included in the experience
A very enthusiastic and really skilled narrator and wine expert. Carlota, who runs Bodega Los Lirios is incredibly dedicated to the development of wine production. We had a wonderful experience and can easily recommend taking a guided tour to Bodega Los Lirios.
Incredibly nice and cozy experience! A nice and well maintained vineyard! Carlota, who runs the farm, held the tour of the vineyard and the wine tasting thereafter, which created a very cosy atmosphere. The snacks to the wine were incredibly good! Highly recommended!
Clear explanation of a super passionate female. Fine wines and tapas. Definitely worth it.
