The food is surprisingly good, very tasty and in keeping with the shows atmosphere. The show is very good and the actors are engaging. All the staff are friendly.

We went to the show last night as a family of 4. Children aged 6 & 9. It was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. We were greated by two of the shows knights and horses at the entrance and could take pictures. When entering the castle there was a little bit of a queue as you take photos with the king which you can buy if you want. Then you can go to the bar/gift shop. Yes, the gift shop is a bit pricey for what it is (swords/crowns/helmets etc) but they are everywhere so either buy it or don’t. Bar was reasonable, but if you just want wine/water/fizzy pop then just wait until you get in as that’s included. You’re then split between black & yellow teams and go through to the seats. No seat has a bad view! It’s rows of 6. There is a bottle of red & white wine, soft drinks & water available. Dinner was soup, chicken leg and ice cream cake. It was actually not bad. Kids were served chicken nuggets & chips. The show was so much fun, knight games, fire breathing, bird of prey show. There’s a lot of cheating for your team, you have to participate otherwise what’s the point, it’s a lot of fun & the kids were so invested in who would win. Yes, some of the knights are a little rude with finger gestures, so if you’re easily offended it might not be the place for you. We thought it was absolutely hilarious though. 100% an enjoyable fun evening & worth the money.
Such a fabulous evening. The show was great fun. The ‘knights’ put all their energy into the show and it was very entertaining. The food however was another story. It was dreadful and the wine was even worse but the night wasn’t about the food so we just didn’t worry about that. The show itself was worth the cost.
Such a fun night ! Definitely recommend if you want some entertainment, the food was good but the soup was delicious ! Everybody at our table loved the soup, if anybody know what vegetables were used I love to know, well worth the money great show
Super Show! Unforgetful experience for big&smal! Recommend 100%!
Driver helpful he helped my mum in the minibus as she disable in the venue the were things to buy also you had a photo took (10 euros)the food and drinks were enjoyable (drinks were wine and soft drinks and water if you wanted beer you have to pay) the show was amazing would definitely recommend they also serve gluten free food
Great fun, Great food and drinks, and a really great experience! Transportation was provided. Beautiful horses and well thought out show.
We booked this just a giggle, but it turned out to be a really fun night. Fire-eaters, jousting, swordfights and stunts, all performed with great energy and skill by the cast. The meal provided was surprisingly good, as was the complimentary wine. The atmosphere reminded me of a wrestling show, complete with a kayfabe storyline running through the performance. Genuinely recommended
Absolutely fantastic show and entertainment. Apart from the bus having no air con. No complaints from us. The drinks flowed, the food was yummy and the medieval show was amazing. Well done for putting on a fantastic show.
Brilliant show. Pick up was on time with a lovely guide who explained everything very well. The queue when getting off the bus was hectic and lengthy but passed by quickly enough as you went through the castle. We attended with 2 children aged 6 & 8 and they both loved it. The show was interactive and very entertaining and well thought out. There was bottles of water, fizzy orange and red and white wine on the table. You could buy a bucket of beer that had 5 bottles in for £10 euros so very reasonable prices if you wanted something different to drink other than the free drinks included in banquet. The only negative to this trip was the food. It was cold and potatoes undercooked. You got a bread roll and pea and potato soup to start with. It was nice enough but bland. But was hot. Then they served children chicken nuggets and chips. The adults got a chicken leg and some sliced potatoes that were luke warm and not cooked enough. They served it with some slices of tomatoes. Desert was vienetta ice cream. Would I do it again- yes definitely but don't expect much from the food. Its all about the amazing atmosphere and show.
The show itself was great - food / drinks were ok …. But the queue to get in was ridiculous and it was so hot waiting around, they make you have a picture which should be optional but obviously a money maker , I had my mum who struggles with standing and heat so it spoilt it for us - the transfer from Adeje was 2 hours!!! Ridiculous as it’s 25 mins from resort Book it direct and make your own way it’s worth a visit but just ok and be prepared to wait around
Food was awful, show as good but as let down by the food.
This is a lovely night out the highlight of our holiday the exterior is a large castle and on the interior you meet the king and queen then you are brought in to the arena to teams yellow and black and there was not only a tornament but a naritive to. You are served soup for starters, chicken for main and ice cream for dessert! The actors are great and make you feel like you really are in medieval times. If you are in tenerife and looking for some thing to do, this is your answer
Very entertaining, Good value for money.
Truthfully I have very mixed feelings on this that lean towards the negative, mostly in terms of animal welfare The good - We were picked up promptly & the guide was lovely. The performers are clearly very talented. The animals physically LOOK well looked after. The negative - Once you are in, there is no guidance on what to do and where to go. A good amount of people ( us included) went and sat in the room straight ahead the contained a bunch of tables. It was only after a little while we realised ( as other people went to leave the room) that we were meant to be queuing for another room. The food was bang average, not good but not terrible. We bought a bucket of beers in advance that took a solid 30 minutes into the show to get the attention of someone to be provided with. The storyline was a bit weird and very disjointed and hard to follow at points esp when it was repeated in English and Spanish (appreciate this is necessary though) The worst part for me - The animals welfare. 2 of the horses were stood outside in the roasting heat at the start whilst people took photos with them ( hopefully they are rotated so they aren't outside for too long) As I said before, physically they look like they are taken care of but my god their body language you can tell they are heavily uncomfortable and are being forced to participate (as soon as I saw someone with a whip, I was out). This goes for the bird of prey used too who also seemed reluctant to do what they wanted. The final straw for me was the incredibly loud fireworks outside at the end. I can only hope the horses are well shielded from the noise as if they aren't, they would be terrified. Overall - Performers are talented but in terms of animal welfare it's a hard miss.
A great night's family entertainment.
I have been coming to this show regularly since I was a child, so around 20 years! It has been a staple for me, and I have watched it through the years (my last time was in 2019!) I booked direct through the website and feel the ticket cost is reasonable for the entertainment, food and transfers. The coach was very simple, and we had contact from the event to confirm our attendance prior to the show. The coach trip was very quick and streamlined, stopping only at confirmed pick ups. This makes a difference as I remember in previous years you’d spent a long time stopping off at various pick-up points. Upon arriving, I noticed there was no knights on horses ‘guarding’ the moat as there has been previously. Not an issue, but I always used to find this helped set the tone and bring excitement. Entering into the castle, the bar area is quite small and I wonder if this could possibly be extended to enable more bar staff to get through queues. There is now an expanded merchandise shop, with prices being a bit all over the place (€30 for a mug!). Upon sitting, it was the same as many previous years where you sit on a bench with drinks. It is difficult to ask for any extra drinks or bottles if you need them, but a lady will come round eventually to offer 4 beers for €9. I see people complain about the food, and I would say it is pretty standard. You can’t expect five star dining or a large menu, it has to be something relatively plain and simple which is in theme and can be served to a mass amount of people. Sure, it wasn’t the nicest meal I’ve ever had, but it was completely fine. After years of going, we always have something to eat prior to going to the event and I’d suggest this to anyone thinking of going if you want to make sure you are full! In regards to the show, I have noticed it has been significantly thinned out over the years. A few years ago, there would be segments of a bird of prey being shown off, a trained dog showing skills, excellent dressage from the horses. It really felt bulked out with constant entertainment that built to the ‘joust’ and ‘fighting’. This has been scrapped, and now they show a projection of a video which was hard to understand. A ‘crone’ also entered the arena and spoke, but I don’t really know why or what it was related to… it felt out of place in honesty and took you out of the vibe! The jousting and ‘fighting’ felt quite short, and it didnt feel as exciting and immersive as before. I also remember - this is many many years ago!! - there would be entertainment after the show itself which was good fun. It’s a shame to see such a large stage and seating area go to waste. The end of the show seemed to come quickly, and then it was time to leave. I recall there being more interaction with the crowd from the performers too. The ‘knights’ would come into the stalls, goad the opposing team, shake hands with their supporters, even give roses out to girls! This was always good fun, but this time it felt they rushed off and didn’t take the time to get the crowd buzzed up. It was still a very good atmosphere, however I think my tradition of visiting no matter my age every time I come to Tenerife may have come to an end. It feels as though the show has aged, as have I, with the jam-packed entertainment from the moment you enter to leaving being slowly faded out. Regardless, I will always recommend this show to anyone visiting. It is such a fun evening, and it is something very different and unique. If you are considering attending, remember to bring high energy. I saw lots of people sitting quietly and observing, this show is to be loud and make noise and have fun! It definitely adds to the performance and experience. Thank you for many years of brilliant evenings, you have been a staple in my childhood and adulthood! I hope that in time the show will gather back all of the dropped segments, or even add new exciting pieces, and then I will be back in that bib ready to cheer! Until then, wishing you the very best and I’m excited for all the people who will get to experience the excitement for the first time.
An unbelievable experience for all ages. Really enjoyed this trip. From the start all staff were very attentive. The show itself was incredible. Would definitely recommend
A fantastic show, the food was great and a treat for the whole family.. Great entertainment.. Recommend to anyone…
Enjoyed the show but food was not edible and wine undrinkable. Too expensive for what you get
Booked the trip through Jet2 at our hotel. It was a super evening, thoroughly enjoyed it. The actors/knights were brilliant and created a great atmosphere with the audience. Would definitely recommend.
4 of us (2 adults, 2 children) visited on a Saturday night, what an excellent night's entertainment, the children (and us) absolutely loved it. Food was decent enough, the fighting was fantastic and so well choreographed. Had a photo op with the King and Queen at the start, also had a souvenir shop with VERY decently priced items. After the show the knights all came out for a meet and greet which the kids loved
The show promises far more than it delivered, the show was dull, the actors made countless mistakes, new horses that didn't want to take part hit with "training" whips to get them to obey, lack of crowd interaction, food poor, drinks overpriced, the whole thing needs overhaul, it's such a pity as 14 years ago it was so much better
So fun and interactive! Constantly interacting with the audience. The waiters were super nice and accommodating to dietary needs too! I mentioned I was vegetarian once and the waiter remembered for next time without me having to remind them again! Would definitely recommend for all types of visitors!
Amazing value for money as a night out. The whole operation is very well run and organised. We were all let in and seated within a decent amount of time considering just how many people were present. The Atmosphere is incredible and the various performers do a fantastic job. The Knight do an especially amazing job with their crowd work switching effortly between entertaining the kids and the adults.
Excellent evenings entertainment. Very well organised. We went with transport option, which was prompt on collection and return. Show production was very high quality, actors gave it their all. Serving food was very quick despite large number of people with kids served first. Agree with other poster to think of it as a show with food provided rather than your dinner. Would recommend.
Great pick up location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bus had air-conditioning and very comfy. Castle was great plenty to see. Food was great. Entertaining night. 40 years ago since I was last here. Would recommend.
We enjoyed this very special evening, you have the chance to explore the castle, then you are taken to the main hall. Your split in two teams black/yellow to champion your brave fighters, three course meal included. From the dressage horses and flying Kestrel to fire eaters are all the build up to the jousting and fighting till a winner is found don’t miss out.
What an evening! This very worth your time & money! The horses & the actors were so talented!! It's a long show but not one dual moment!! Plenty of food & drinks also. So don't skimp & not do the dinner! I totally recommend!! I only gave a 4 because I think the chicken upset my tummy.
This was the highlight of our holiday!!! Amazing experience. Super happy with the show, the service and the food! Thank you 😁
Absolutely terrible. If i could give 0 stars i would. The horses where super stressed out and the eagle was in protest. The music was way too loud and hbo will be sad to hear they used the GoT into theme without copyrights. It was straight up animal abuse. The food was tasteless and soggy. Halfway when my fiancee complained about the chicken they offered him a vegetarian meal.... There was nowhere said that was available and i would have liked one as i'm a vegan, but all i got were soggy potatos and some cold tomatos.
The wine both white and red were terrible. The food was good value but not much taste. The show and actors were great
We had a great evening at Castillo San Miguel. The show itself was genuinely entertaining — the knights really got the crowd going, and at times it became wonderfully rowdy in a way that added to the atmosphere rather than taking away from it. The skill of the riders was impressive, and the whole performance felt energetic and well put together. We opted for the dinner experience, which was simple but very well executed. The vegetable soup with a roll was surprisingly tasty, the roasted chicken with sautéed vegetables and potatoes was cooked nicely, and dessert was a straightforward ice cream. Nothing fancy, but everything was done properly and suited the theme. The horses and riders were a highlight — clearly well‑trained, and the choreography of the show kept the audience engaged throughout. It’s the kind of experience that works especially well for families, and the medieval setting makes it feel like a proper event rather than just a show. Overall, a fun, lively night out with good food, impressive horsemanship, and a great atmosphere.
Amazing show !! Great atmosphere. Good food. Absolutely loved it. They had a full bar as well as a gift shop for souvenirs.
The food was very poor even the kids meals were close to inedible. The show didn't start properly until 30-45 minutes in by which point the kids were bored and wanted to go home. Luckily it got much more entertaining at that point and the rest of the show was really fun to watch. Real shame the only female in the cast had no lines and relied on the men to save her. Maybe update your story and target the other 50% of your audience?
The best night of our holiday when we went here . Absolutely amazing from start to finish . The staff were lovely , the show was amazing and the food was good . Very interactive show - only minor negative- its very dark while you’re eating. Veg soup and a bread roll to start , chicken leg , potatoes and tomatoes for main with Vienetta for dessert. They have a bottle of water , fizzy orange , red and white wine on the table of 6 that you share with others . We didn’t go VIP but wouldn’t recommend paying extra for it as all I could see was that they got seats at the bottom and were let in a little earlier but we got seated at the top and the view was brilliant so I don’t think it’d be worth splashing out in my opinion . Highly recommend this evening - we have two 6 year old boys who enjoyed every second- and so did we !
Nice show, decent dinner but poorly indicated what to expect, what time the show starts, where to sit, etc. The details of the show not well thought through - a wife of a count is a countess not a duchess!
Really entertaining evening all round including engaging with the characters before and after the show. The food is fairly basic so you should think of it as you're going to a show and they throw in free food rather than the other way around.
If you like renaissance festivals and middle aged markets… this is definitely for you! Get loud, yell for your champion and be apart of the show. The food and atmosphere are amazing, you feel like you are teleported back in time watching the jousting, sword fighting, and the brawl that takes place in front of your seat while drinking and eating! It is a show you do not want to miss! Buy the VIP tickets, you will no regret it!
Once the show got going it was good fun for all the family. Stood around waiting for g for a while and then as VIP sat down first for half an hour waiting for everyone else… But once it started it was an enjoyable show - especially the horse elements and a unique bit of fun for everyone. Food OK. As per every other review.
Brilliant, enjoyable evening for all ages, the method actors were good, the horses were magnificent. It was really good to see everyone joining in with the cheering, young and old.
It was a fun night out. The only complaint was the beer wasn't free.
So glad we went here with our friends. Had a great fun night and the food was excellent considering how many they have to cater for!!! A Lovely warm bread roll with soup starter. Mains was a Juicy chicken leg with sliced potatoes and Tomatoes. Dessert was ice cream which was same as the English version of a vienta roll. The show was great fun and we went a Saturday night which was 3/4 busy so had a great ambience. The actors were fabulous interacting with the crowds and the horses were brilliant, well trained, well looked after and well groomed ….all in all a very good night and only 20 min coach ride away. Well worth the money for a great night out.
An excellent night. Great fun, good food. Everyone was friendly. It was very exciting to watch and was suitable for all the family. Our ages range from 13 to 79.
It was a great experience to enjoy it with my daughter. The horses are very well cared, the actors gave all they got and the place looks pretty similar to a castle and an arena for medieval games and fights. It takes 2 hours for the show but time flies. The food is nothing special but we booked for the show not to eat fancy dinner. The only thing i would change is those finger/hand signs made by the actors. There are a lot of kids at this show and those signs are the first thing for them to remember in the end .
This was a reasonably good night's fun . Okay the wine was a watery 10%PV. My food was fair and my dietary requirements were mostly met..just tell them in advance. The show was entertaining but get involved and it becomes much more fun ,boo and shout and let it all hang out. When and where else would you do it certainly not in Bunratty ! Enjoy the craic. For fun just go.
Firstly, this is not a spectacular castle as advertised but a modern construction void of any atmosphere. When you get close, there are no posted directions if you self drive, , and you enter a dark, bleak room waiting to be seated. Firstly we entered a large room with tables, no explanation or service of any kind, then to be moved to the main hall , with teams on opposite side . The food was dreadful, bland, tasteless and just disgusting. Although the knights performed well, the supporting cast were poor and you cant help to feel upset at how the horses are asked to perform at speed in close confine with loud noise ongoing throughout, when you look closely at the horses faces and eyes they do seem distressed. Maybe fun for preteens but for anyone else no. Would definitely not recommend,
Show and dinner, good emotions, knight performances . We had a great time, I definitely recommend it. The show is with horses and birds.
The show was amazing 😍 Food was okay. We arrived at 18:30 and left at about 21:30. Very fun, the second half of the show was a little repetitive, so by the end it felt a bit long.
The show was good however the food was good awful, which is an understatement. It was just like prison food & it was dishes out with the same level of expertise, just dropped on your plate. If you do go, don't expect much, I think they keep the lights extra low so you cannot see the rubbish they are dishing out.
