We had a wonderful day, visiting a mountain village Masca first. Then there was a stop in a local shop with a lot of free tasting options (liquors, jams...) - the stop should be added to the itinerary on Viator since it was a plus, but we didn't know about it. Then moved towards the main attraction - Teide National Park. Definitely choose a good weather day and book a cable car. It is expensive, but the view is worth it. Just be careful: you have just an hour long you’ll have to look, and the routes on the top are not short, so you should hurry once you get there. Contact the company about the cable car in advance; everything went smoothly and we paid on the bus. Then there were two short stops next to a huge tree and in a café where we bought local biscuits and coffee. There was no advertised stop in Villaflor old town, which is my only small reservation: the itinerary did not match exactly. Overall, we liked the cabrio bus a lot, and our guide Juan spoke good English with a lot of information. I wish there were more cabrio bus tours like that since it is perfect for taking pictures and being more in touch with nature. One last recommendation: choose seats carefully, as the ones in the very front and back remain in the covered part for the whole time, even after the roof comes off.

The is one tour we will never forget. Traveling down to the village in Masca was fantastic with unimaginable views traveling down the winding road. Riding in the panoramic bus made it all the better. The ride up to Mt. Teide was great such wonderful rock formations and picturesque views. Our guide was terrific and had a great sense of humor. I would definitely recommend this tour. It is a must see.
Great way to experience the drive to Mt. Teide in the Cabrio bus . If you want to do the cable car ride make sure you book that as an extra . Our guide Juan was excellent and made the trip fun and answered any other questions we had . Our driver Manuel skilfully negotiated the narrow winding roads which can be busy with traffic , especially tourists in hire cars ! Would definitely recommend this tour , such beautiful scenery and fantastic views from the bus .
Our tour was rescheduled to 14 July as 13 July was already sold out. The bus was comfortable, and the locations we visited were undeniably beautiful. However, the overall experience could have been much better, especially in terms of how the tour was conducted. Unfortunately, our guide appeared quite disengaged throughout the day. While he was clearly fluent in multiple languages, his commentary was delivered in a continuous, flat monotone. It was difficult to follow along, especially waiting to catch the English portions. Surprisingly, it was the driver who provided more engaging and informative explanations at the various stopover points. Whenever we had questions, it was the driver who took the time to offer detailed answers and background information—something we expected from the guide. At one point, we were taken to a shop where various local liqueurs, breads, and sauces were laid out for tasting. However, there was no effort made to explain what we were sampling. The guide simply wandered off to chat with the shop assistant, missing a good opportunity to educate and engage with the group. A particularly frustrating part of the day was at El Teide. While some members of our group had cable car tickets and went ahead with that, the rest of us were given a pick-up time and waited in the sun as instructed. The bus, however, arrived over 30 minutes late. What was most disappointing wasn’t the delay itself, but the lack of communication. When we asked the guide about the delay, he became defensive and dismissive, saying the cable car timings weren't his responsibility and we should contact the company if we had complaints. A simple heads-up beforehand that delays are possible due to the nature of the cable car schedule would have gone a long way in managing expectations and avoiding frustration. These things do happen sometimes and all of us understand that and this is where some professionalism goes a long way in managing situations. If not for the driver’s helpfulness and guidance, I would have rated the tour just one star.
Great full day touring Teide national park and surrounding area in cabrio bus Only downside was we had to reschedule due to vehicle being out of service on booked day but once rebooked later on our stay the trip was great
I chose this tour for the smaller bus, open-top, and itinerary to include Masca and Teide, potentially including the volcano cable car. So product design is good! And the guide was certainly knowledgeable, and the price more accessible than many. My excursion day followed a bad wind storm so the cable car wasn't running - disappointing but saftey first, understandabelle. I'm not sure if this was the reason the roof wasn't open as I didn't hear an explanation. The real downside was the organisation. My tour was cancelled by the company the day before, I don't know why. Perhaps mistake, they asked me to rebook, but I wasn't able to rebook that day, nor the date they then suggested, but only a date 2 weeks later. I was assured on pick up place and time. But the next morning after waiting 5 mins past my pickup time with no bus in sight, I wasn't feeling confident so messaged the company. They told me I wasn't there at the pickup time given - I was, but it turned out they had given me the wrong time. As a result, they sent the boss out in his car to pick me up, & catch up with the bus at a motorway slip road abd making me look the dunce that missed the bus when i got on . That said, I'm glad I called when I did because leaving it longer could have been more of a problem, and of course I was satisfied with the solution to have the excursion day as planned. But I imagine it could have been a total write off for me otherwise, on the only day I could do it, seemingly because the company cancelled my place, & asked me to rebook a later date. Final thing, I personally dislike guides/drivers smoking by the bus door, albeit outside. It looks so ugly to the company.
Excellent trip - lots of driving but the convertible bus makes the travel more fun, plus you can still bask in the sun. It’s also an early start (we were picked up at 8:45am) but well worth it as you get to the amazing Masca before the crowds descend. We paid extra for the cable car (90 euros in cash on the bus) which was brilliant. We were very lucky to have a super clear day with no clouds. If you don’t do this, you have to wait at a different stop near the cable car station for a couple of hours. If the weather turns, or when driving at speed, the clear roof is pulled back so visibility is still great but it’s much warmer. Seeing the landscape around Mount Teide is a must-see, and really makes you appreciate Tenerife in a different light. There’s one stop at a shop but there’s no pressure to buy anything. The day is quite full on but good fun. If we were doing it again, I’d pack some food and a light lunch. We bought food at the cable car stop (not cheap but also not a crazy rip off) but there wasn’t much time to fit that in. Overall it was great, book it!
Masca trip open top tour . - this was a really awful trip because of our guide. Our guide was very unsettling and overfamiliar. At one of the stops he pickpocked my partners phone as he thought it was funny and she thought she had lost her phone - he then gave it her back as a joke it was not a joke!! He also kept touching her on the shoulders and stroked our skin at one point it ruined the whole trip. I also heard him making sexist remarks about blond women and called a black person bob marley. It was a bad experience and a very unprofessional tour guide
The guide was very knowledgeable and made everyone laugh. He went over and above for us to get tickets for Teide, as we didn’t book. The driver was also brilliant, especially up & down to Masca.
Our guide Laura was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic, we learned a great deal about the Canary Islands. We thoroughly enjoyed our day. Ps not forgetting Pablo our driver we felt very safe with him.
We were on the 321 bus yesterday (19th November) on the Teide, Masca, Icod, Garachico trip and we would like to thank our bus driver and tour guide who were amazing! We were collected from the rendezvous point on time and treated to a wonderful tour of this amazing island with commentary at every stage of the journey. Personally we would have liked less time at the designated lunch stop and more time in Garachico or Icod where we could have had more choice for lunch, but a small criticism for what was overall an amazing day.
Making the spectacular scenery even more spectacular. The views of Mt Teide and Masca from the Cabrio-Bus were the best we have had the opportunity to take in (we have been on numerous tours throuout Tenerife over the years) , you get to see way more of the views than on a conventional bus tour. Great driving and fun and informative commentary from the front, complimented the views at the rear. 3 tips, bring fleeces it can get a bit chilly Take water and snacks And Most importantly... Don't forget to Look Up, or you'll miss the best views.
Amazing trip. Highly recommended. Great tour guide Klaus. Wear sun cream. Ask about the cable car and you can book tickets for this too in advance.
My partner and I really enjoyed this full day tour. Excellent guide and skilled driver, learnt lots of information about the island and villages passing as well as Tiede and Masca. Take some water, a hat and suncream as it will get hot, even with the open top providing some breeze. All in all, a great value day out, definately got our monies worth.
Very informative guide and excellent driver. The views are spectacular. Well worth a day out. Good service
It was a really cool trip, and the guide had some nice stories. The trip to Masca as everyone wrote is tricky so the driver is very talented to navigate it. Depending on weather the cable car might be closed, but this is no fault of the excursion team, just be aware it might not be possible to go all the way up. The only thing I would change would be max persons to be 18, because the last row of seats can sit theoretically 4, but the seats are so small it’s ridiculous. I would leave one of the seats empty in the last row for comfort of all passengers.
The Cabrio Bus tour to Masca and Mt Teide was very enjoyable. The itinerary for the trip didn't include as many stops as some other trips, so we were able to see Masca and Teide without having to rush too much to get back to the bus. I was glad of our driver Fernando's driving skills, especially on the switchback roads in the Masca Valley; I wouldn't have wanted to be driving it in a hire car! Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly and gave a good commentary throughout our journey (In three languages). As well as Masca and Teide, the bus stops for a short period at an outlet with food, drink and souvenirs. Unlike the hard sell you sometimes experience in such places you could try food and drink samples with no pressure to buy. The items in the store were of good quality and reasonably priced and the toilets were clean. We chose to do the optional cable car trip up Teide and although this cost an additional 37 Euros per person it was well worth the trip to the top. It is colder and snowy at the top of Teide, so dress accordingly, however it still felt pleasant in the sun. My only criticism of the trip was the long hotel pickup duration. The company offer great flexibility with pickups from all resorts and hotels in the south. We were the first pickup in Golf del Sur at 8am and the last pickup in Costa Adeje was at around 9:30am. As this is our first visit to Tenerife, we viewed to pickup loop as an opportunity to see a number of different resorts and hotels, but I can imagine for some people this part of the journey would detract from the otherwise very enjoyable and well organised trip.
This was a great tour. Shame we couldn’t go up to the top of Teide ‘cos it was too windy. The road to Masca is amazing
We loved the compact open top bus which made navigating the edge of the cliffs twists and turns less traumatic. The scenery is beautiful and our tour guide who spoke German and English was very knowledgeable and charismatic.
Great! We made an organized excursion to TEIDE on Sunday, September 28th! Professionalism and a fantastic guide! Empathetic, very knowledgeable and very participatory! Highly recommended! When you work with passion! Iena and Daniela Italy
A German Guide with a group of Germans who made the effort to translate everything into the only two Spaniards of the day. Thank you very much, Klaus. Competence, professionalism and gentleness are appreciated. Bravo. The views of the tour are dizzying. Good thing for those mountain roads our driver Miguel learned to drive... 😄 Unfortunately that day too much wind up on the volcano and the cable car closed. But the excursion very nice, instructive and allowing to appreciate the local products. Long live Tenerife!
Super guide, it was in English and German but was well understood. The driver was also good. The trip was doable a lot of photo points done along the way. The bus itself is highly recommended. Convertible with Max 19 people so nice and small group. Also easy with all hairpin bends. However, a hat is recommended. It is very hot and sunburn oil.
We were initially skeptical about whether to book this trip, as very few reviews are online - but luckily we decided to do so. We were picked up by Klaus - a "former" German - tour guide and well supplied with information, could ask questions at any time and were well entertained. At this point: Best regards!;) First we drove to Masca - who has problems with winding track WARNING! A beautiful place in the mountains, absolutely worth seeing. Afterwards we went to the National Park del Teide, the Pico Viejo and the Pico des Teide - the two volcanic peaks. Sufficient and beautiful photo stops were made, then we went to the cable car. Whoever wanted could drive up. But beware, from May it is only possible to take the cable car at 3500 m if a ticket is booked in ADVANCE on the INTERNET! Brilliant experience, but beware cold (in April 16 degrees in the sun, 0 degrees in the shade) and not for the circulatory/blood pressure impaired. You breathe heavily and have to move slowly because of the altitude and the low oxygen content. If you stick to Klaus tips but no problem! Then we went through Vilaflor and a few villages back to the coast. What is not mentioned in the itinerary: as with a coffee trip, there is a stop at a souvenir and tasting shop with jams, wine etc. where you can taste everything and if you want to buy of course. But everything is casual and not for ever. 8 hours, lots of curves, lots of great experiences! Experience has shown that there are so few online reviews, as mostly older people book the tour, but was not a problem for us, although we did not meet the age average ;)
Good Mood, guided tours of the area in different languages, driver and friendly guide. Frequent stops for photos and sightings of different tourist sites.
Le bus offre une vue très agréable et découvert permettant de profiter au maximum des paysages magnifiques Guide parlant un peu vite en français et pas toujours compréhensible
