Fantastic island. Great tour guides. Tyler was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend

Very good tour, we had the chance to see Dolphins and a Shark. The island is beautiful and Terry, our guide, was amazing. Thanks a lot.
Great day out unfortunately no dolphins but wasn’t for the lack of looking by the crew 😎😎 very easy to book collected on time the crew on the boat were brilliant very friendly and fun. We chose to go to the beech on lobos and chill with the picnic provided while others walked and explored lobos Highly recommend the trip to all 😎😎😎😎
Great experience. Especially loved seeing the Dolphins. The island is so picturesque and the information provided is sufficient to enable you plan how to best use the limited time. Staff were great and very helpful. Would have given 5 stars but the trip did not return to the Rubicón Marina as advertised on Tripadviser and we were informed of this so had two bus transfers.
Well where do I start forget the Dolphin watching. Going to Lobos Island it was quite windy and the wave weres quite high, but from leaving Lanzarote harbour the boat was flat out and bouncing about a lot. But unfortunately the return journey was horrendous, the crew knew that the wind had increased because they pulled the side covers down on one side and when we set off my wife who is not good on boats and a lot of other people on board were very frightened. I love boat and sailing I have been deep sea fishing all over and I have never experienced anything so bad from a safety point of view. The boat ( still flat out) was bouncing all over so much so a couple sat opposite their seats broke off with the severe bouncing, we were all soaking wet. Yes if we were going on an adrenaline junky speed boat ride fare enough but we had no chance of seeing any Dolphins or Whales. So if you are slightly anxious about boats this is definitely one to miss.
The boat trip was amazing words aren’t enough to explain how beautiful it was to see dolphins and flyfish then to swim in the natural pool was a dream come true. The only down side was the coach trip back it was horrendous the driver was rude ignoring us won’t explained anything then he eventually told us to get off the coach as we weren’t getting taken back to the hotel by him he was rude turned around and we didn’t listen and that we could walk or get a taxi it wasn’t his problem. After having such an amazing experience to then have this at the end we were disappointed as in the end we had to get a taxi back to our hotel that cost us €70
This trip was amazing, I would recommend. Lobos island is beautiful - the staff on the boat were so lovely, the main man (I think his name was Teddy?) he was such a lovely guy and really looked after everyone! Made sure everyone had what they needed etc. big shout out to him for making the trip so enjoyable! Lunch was good to they provided packed lunch for everyone. The boat journey there was fine it took about an hour or so - coming home though, it was so choppy (which isn’t the company’s fault) but there were some big waves coming back! We didn’t see any dolphins or whales but we see lots of flying fish which were cool!
The tour was really nice, even that we was unfortunate to see any dolphins. Flying fishes was nice! Definitely worth to go, staff is really nice, Lobos is small but has really nice beaches. The only thing what caused a little issue that we only found one toilet and it was closed due water issue.
Overall a great experience! Had a good day and lots of time to explore the island. The packed lunch included was good, included 2 sandwiches, a beer, water and a yoghurt. The tour hosts were great and fun, made the trip more enjoyable and us all laugh. Didn’t see any dolphins, but still a nice trip. Although, 4/5 since we originally were booked for Friday- the organisers gave us the wrong pickup location meaning we missed the transfer bus, so had to reschedule for Saturday. Got a phone call 20 minutes after our expected pickup with a very angry lady asking where we were, after we’d already phoned the booking company since no bus had arrived to pick us up. Could’ve been better customer service and communication overall.
Lobos is lovely (particularly the lagoon beach overlooking Fuerteventura) but the boat journey out to the island wasn't great for us. It seemed to take forever (90 minutes) in a strong cold wind that constantly blew spray into the boat. The boat was advertised as being a 'speedboat', but you were left feeling you could swim there faster (and got equally wet). I couldn't understand much of what the commentary guy said, ceither. His English was excellent, but he gabbled and the sound system was poor. The 2 hours on the island were heaven and the (much faster) return boat trip in glorious sunshine was very pleasant, but the journey out was not easy to erase from the memory. Overall enjoyable, but not as good as the other boat trips we've been on in The Canaries. Take plenty of sun cream, your swimming costume and a towel. Sent from my Galaxy
On time and although we were in walking distance of the embarkation had several contacts offering pickup. The trip was good from start to finish. Although on the dolphin route, dolphins did not want to play on the day we went. The lunch provided was good. Highlight was the carpaccio soup and even a beer in there. The sun did not appear until we were about to leave the island so the sea colours were inhibited by the clouds. Worth the price and recommended.
We reserved for a pick up at 9h40, at 8h20 we received a call that we would be picked up in ten minutes. We rushed then to be there to be then waiting for 40 minutes and in the end a taxi pick us up. Once on the boat we relatively quick spotted two dolphins right after leaving, as soon as they were spotted we had the feeling not much effort was done anymore for spotting other dolphins. And then the worst: crew starts smoking on the boat and guests follow. Cigarettes are thrown in the sea!!!! Lunch are some dry sandwiches
Many Thanks to Carlos and the rest of the Crew for a great Day, was prewarned Lobos was barren and open with not much shade, wee visitors centre, a village with a restaurante, we had Coffee, They sold more, Sea was a bit choppy, to be expected, never seen and Dolphins, even though the crew were looking out or them, I saw 3 flying Fish, would recommend this trip, great picnic bag, better than We expected. Brilliant Day
Went on this same trip in April last year with friends, this time with partner. Saw lots of dolphins on the way out and the way back last time. This time we saw lots on the way out. The island is interesting but the only one public toilet wasn’t working. The only other one is in the restaurant. So toilet facilities are severely lacking. There was around 200 people on the island. On the return trip, the staff hardly put any effort into looking for the dolphins and more time helping people stand up at the front of the boat as it was quite choppy. The boat just powered back all the way without slowing down. It felt that the staff just wanted to get back and were not interested in looking around for the dolphins. Don’t expect to sit in the same seat you did on the way out. Someone had already decided to sit in the seat we had occupied on the way out. Was quite pleasing to see them getting splashed by the sea most of the way back.
Went on the Lobos Island Dolphin trip yesterday. No dolphins spotted on the way out there alrhough the crew were actively searching. The crew was great, Captain spoke all different languages. Didn't think too much of Lobos not a lot there, 2 toilets, one in the restaurant which you had to pre-book. 2.5 hours I felt was a bit long as a lot of people were waiting to get back on the boat. Definitely glad we read the reviews and wore trainers rather than flip flops. BUT on the way back we spotted Dolphins and a Hammerhead shark. As soon as these were spotted the Captain slowed the boat and we all managed to see them, he even made sure a little girl got up the front and saw them. Overall a lovely day out and seeing the wildlife up close in their natural environment was magical x
Brilliant day trip for young and old. Luckily got to see numerous dolphin sightings which the kids loved. The staff, in particular, Carlos really look after all the guests. Top class.
We really enjoyed the trip. We didn't get to see whales on this occasion but we saw lots of dolphins. The crew was very attentive making sure that everyone was comfortable and having a good time. The time allocated on Los Lobos (2 ½ hours) could be a bit longer but we managed to spend some time on the beach and visit the small village. The picnic provided (included in the price) is adequate with sandwiches, cold soup, yogurt and drinks. On the way back they are speeding up and it can get a bit cold so a light jacket is recommended. Overall a positive experience and we would recommend it to anyone visiting Lanzarote.
Great day, didn't see any dolphins but enjoyed the boat ride and spending time on Lobos. My two kids fell asleep on the way back and the crew brought them blankets to cover up and make a pillow :) We booked through our tour operator, so were unaware there was a packed lunch and drink included - wouldn't have brought our own if we'd known!
Amazing experience! The crew was very funny and cool. Saw 5 sperm whales on our way to lobos island!!
We were picked up in playa blanca on the coach at 08.30 and were sailing by 10.00. We were on the english/French language boat and the guide was excellent as well as the crew. We saw dolphins on the way which was great and the island of Los lobos was great. My family all enjoyed the day out.
First the sign in process. This should be done on the bus while driving to the port. As it is we all stand in a long line up in the heat. It took a very long time, that the pep became frustrated and insisted the last people run to the boat following him as he was smoking a cigarette.
Amazing day out even if we didnt see dolphins (we understand nature so disappointed but thats fine).
It was a great trip to the island, the staff were great and engaged with all. The island itself was incredible, clear blue water and beautiful. We managed to see the dolphins as well which topped it all off!
After been told boarding would be at 9.50am.crew didn’t arrive until 10.20am.The guide had no interaction with the passengers going out or coming back. This is the first trip of this kind that we didn’t see any dolphins. If you have an alternative take it and avoid this excursion not worth the money.
Had a dolphin cruise from puerta del carmen harbour to the island of Los Lobos. 1 and half hour cruise in search of dolphins (which we saw) to the island and then 2 and half hours on beach to explore /sunbathe. Such a beautiful place and the weather was exceptional. Food and a drink included for £60 pp and worth every penny imo . Thank you Lanzarote sea Tours.
Even though lobos was a nice place the trip was not worth the €60 , it was a boat ride to a beach. The lunch and drinks included was a cheese and ham dry boccadillo some cold soup and water and a beer. We got about 3 hours free time on lobos even though the host pointed out it would take 4 hours minimum to visit the lighthouse on the island and the trip is advertised as a full day! We didn't have enough time to explore the island so just stayed in the beach. On the return to the boat I was rushed on and told to use the boats toilet which I did not want to do. Unfortunately there were no dolphins that day . There are plenty of other boat and land excursions available at less euros .Unfortunately I fail to see what it was we paid so much for ?!
From getting dropped off at the island and getting told there was a toilet and a restaurant we got there to both been shut. The only toilet on the island was out of order and locked. The restaurant was closed. The food and drink they supplied well a dog would turn there nose up at it. Then when we got back to the harbour with 3 children busting for the toilet we was turned away and then when I tried to complain the man that took us started shouting and screaming at me. I wouldn't even give it 1 star but had to to leave a review. We tried to get our money bk to be told we had to speak to who we booked it with but that was another lie if you want to get your money back you have to get it there at the harbour where you paid the final balance. The place is nothing like the photos. Over 200 euro and a day of our holiday wasted. Definitely do not recommend. They had 2 young boys driving who had no idea what they was doing. Absolutely horrible experience
Pickup and return from the hotel (beatriz costa and spa) was well managed and on time. Transfer on the boat as well. Crew was looking for wildlife both on the way to and from Lobos, but unfortunatelly we saw no dolphins. Ofcourse they can't guarantee wildlife, so it's okay. Drop off on the island was relatively smooth and the island itself was really pretty! Where Lanzarote and Fuertaventura are mostly Lava rock islands, here there is an intertidal zone on the eastside of the island with very different vegetation. Wish i could spend a little more time on the island to explore it tough. We got a packed lunch which was very sweet, although the 2 sandwhiches were with ham and i am a vegetarian. I didnt told them beforehand, so that's not a complaint. I gave them away to 2 kind germans i met on Lobos :)
Unfortunately I can only give this company a very poor rating as we never got picked up !!! We booked via an excursion kiosk in Puerto Calero and paid our deposit etc and ,the guy made a call to book us on the trip………we got all the relevant paperwork … so everything seemed fine ……however after waiting an hour for transport and no one turning up we then went back to the marina in Puerto Calero to explain to the lovely guy who had booked the trip for us …..He made a call to the company who had never booked us on in the first place………so please please be aware of this ….I suggest booking direct with the company ………nothing against the chap in the marina though its what does/ doesn’t happen in between that’s the problem !!! The only it got 1 star is I had no option to give 0 !!!!
A great couple trip to the lobos island. This included a detailed tour on the boat, a well packed lunch including sandwiches, baguettes, soup, yogurt, water and beer (per person) we was lucky enough to see a whale on the way back from our trip!
Incredible trip, we saw two large pods of dolphins and the crew were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The boat is comfortable and it was good to be ablle to move around and stand at the front and back as well as sit down. Fantastic picnic lunch provided with all packaging recyclable, the gazpacho was particularly good! We have been visiting Lanzarote for nearly 40 years but this was our 1st trip to Lobos and it was worth the wait! Highly recommend this trip and excellent value for money.
We would rate it Excellent were it not for the dreadful "music" that bombarded us all the way to and from the Isla, as well as on the bus to and from the port. Does anyone apart from the guide and staff really enjoy such noise? It is anything but pleasant and it is damaging to the wildlife too. If you insist on having music, then choose something that invokes nature, not disco music. We were lucky enough to see dolphins on the way to and from the island - lucky also because the music is turned off when dolphins are spotted! The island is beautiful. It would be nice to have more time to explore it. It is a small island but either you are a professional runner and sprint around it, or you do not care to look around and are there just for the instagram moment, you will probably see and enjoy properly 1/3 of the island. Take earplugs - and warm clothes as advised. The picnic should include a vegetarian option. We threw everything away except the bottles of water and 1 yogurt. Gaspacho is very nice but not from a package.
I would give a zero star if possible. Despite being at the prearranged pick up point on time, the bus driver of an unmarked bus (amongst many) did not identify himself and so drove off without us. Disappointed that we could not make the trip, the communication with the staff was poor, and I don’t believe much will change. Imagine my surprise when I received an email thanking us for being their guests and they hoped we enjoyed the trip!!
Sorry no photos to show but I’m sure some of the other on board will share. Had a lovely day out in Isla Los Lobos with some snorkelling done. The tide was low so not ideal but still nice. Obviously the highlight was the sighting of the beaked whale and cub. It was the tour operator classifying the species so I’m just reporting. They mentioned it was the first sighting so close to the boat in 4 years and it was from the good energy on board....I’ll take it. The operator also supplied a nice picnic bag for lunch. Coming in and out of the boat in the island is a bit sketchy so be mindful of imparted mobility. Overall a 5/5 from me on the day.
Very good activity to do if you have time. The Lobos island is walkable and this is exactly what I did for most of my time on it:) the picnic lunch provided was nice the staff were professionals. Raquel speaks all the languages and I think everyone felt safe and welcomed !
Good trip. Pick up and drop off good. People on the boat were very friendly. Couple of hours on the island was about right - time to sit on the beach and eat the provided picnic (which was very generous) and a slow paced walk around. Or you could do an energetic looking walk up a big hill. Luckily we had glimpses of dolphins on the way back which was obviously fabulous; wildlife is not guaranteed and should never be expected, but should be seen as a bonus.
Trip led by Marco who was very good. We saw numerous Dolphins on our way to Lobos. There was an excellent “packed lunch” though vegans or vegetarians would need to advise this in advance. Once on the island the tour was not guided - we were able to navigate around the volcanic island individually with the small “treasure island” maps that were distributed. Clearly it was important not to miss the return boat. There were a few fantastic views but much was volcanic mountains/rocks/ash. I may not have chosen this tour if I had done more research in advance.
Lovely relaxing place to visit, the lagoon by the small village is beautiful and peaceful, we only had 2 1/2 hours on the island, but which we could of stayed longer, suitable for all ages, safe swimming areas for the young ones, the water is crystal clear so is perfect for snorkelling,
On arriving on the boat, there were no seats left for myself and my 8 year old to sit together. Only a lady and her daughter moved , we would not be sitting together. The whole idea for going on the trip is that I thought from the reviews is that we would see dolphins .. the only wildlife we did see was a few seagulls. We have plenty of seagulls in Ireland! Lobos is lovely but there were no toilets on the island and the resaurant was closed on the 16th and 17th July. We both don't swim and we were stuck on the island for 2.5 hours. I paid €93 for one adult and one child. My son enjoyed the trip home and I left sorry for staff and did tip.I think people need to be advised that they are not guaranteed to see wild life. Lunch was grand... but after the huge fly sat on my sandwich... I figured I better throw it away.
Never made the trip my plane was delayed then canceled attempted to cancel trip but was unable to as TripAdvisor on my profile could not find the reservation and required I log in after I logged in very confusing so I guess I ate 125$ for a trip I didn’t take
We booked this trip via tripadvisor before we went, along with another trip. Just a word of advice, make sure you call the operator and confirm pick ups and times etc, as in both cases not all of the information seems to have been passed on by tripadvisor to the operator. That aside we were picked up from a nearby bus stop (when booking via this site it states hotel pickup). However, the transport was on time, clean and tidy and the staff were good. They took us to the port where we boarded and then set sail. They had plenty of blankets as the spray from the water was coming in a little bit. We managed to see a few dolphins and even some whales on route which was lovely. We even saw a large turtle on the way back. The Island itself was lovely and very quiet so we spent a good couple of hours here on the beach and in the cafe before returning back. The staff were very good and the whole experience was lovely.
If you love dolphins then this was amazing, to see them in their natural beauty, wild and free, totally worth it. Fab views and the excitement of looking for and seeing the dolphins is fabulous. Lovely captain and crew, Raquel was lovely and gave commentary on the info of the dolphins and as we passed other islands. Glorious sunshine, gorgeous dolphins, fab packed lunch , fun boat ride. My kids are 4 and 5 and they loved it (sea sickness was brief) . I was so happy with the trip.
Excellent trip! Seen 3 different species of dolphins such a treat to see them in the wild. Stayed for a couple of hours at Lobos island did a little snorkeling! Well worth doing! Lovely people.
Brilliant!! Crew were all lovely & made it their mission for us to see dolphins, which we did 💙 absolutely incredible
Boat - the boat is new and well maintained. Crew - the crew and the captain were very friendly, they did their best to provide not only historical information regarding the island but also some interesting facts about the region and the sea life. The information was provided in Spanish, English and French. Dolphins - we did have the chance to see dolphins and quite a lot of them, at least 20 or 30. The crew took the time to provide some facts about the species and also allowed us more then enough time to take photos. Lunch - the lunch bag that was provided was very well stocked and more then enough for a snack on the beach. We had 4 different drinks as well as two different sandwiches. Lobos Island - is a very beautiful place, really a must see ! The beaches have golden sand and the lava formations offer a perfect wind shade. We had a great time and would recommend this trip.
Beautiful scenic island and a lovely boat trip also. We had a brief view of a dolphin which was great. Also a nice packed lunch was provided too. The only reason I'm rating this as 4 stars rather than 5 stars, was the coach pick-up from our hotel. The bus had no signage to say where it was going to. And the coach driver was grumpy, couldn't speak English and wasn't able to confirm if we were on the right coach! Luckily our gamble proved correct, we did catch the right coach!
Saw a lot dolphins, Lobos is a nice isle where you can easily do snorkeling. The ride back to Lanzarote had much more waves and was so a bit more jumpy. Real fun!!
We had a lovely trip it was very well organised It was amazing we where very lucky to see lots of dolphins. A very enjoyable day
This trip is definitely worth the money, do not expect a Rocket Ship experience on the Jet Boat, it is a fairly leisurely ride out to the island of Lobos. The guides are very friendly, and talk you through the journey a little on the way, telling you about the Island and it's history. Sadly we saw no Dolphins, but really that is no big deal as the Island is beautiful, I could have easily spent another 2 or 3 hours there. The beaches are perfection, and you can happily walk around just exploring the views. The journey back to Lanzarote was decidedly more choppy, and a lot more fun !!! The crew supply a picnic bag for each person, Sandwich, a Roll, a couple of drinks including a can of Lager !! The pick up and drop off from our hotel in Costa Teguise was punctual and quick. I would go on this trip again for sure.
The crew are wonderful and the boat clean and well kept. Unfortunately we had booked on a day that was windy as a result we were unable to land on Lobos and were taken instead onto nearby Fuerta Ventura where we meandered aimlessly for 2 hours. We had booked specifically for Lobos to go bird watching as it is a nature reserve. We also didn't see any dolphins, and previous reviews had suggested it was likely that we wouldn't. I appreciate that safety considerations were uppermost, but I subsequently learned that boats had been unable to land for a few days due to the windy conditions, so perhaps it would have been better to cancel and offer a refund. On the plus side, the picnic lunch was good, and as it was cool because of the wind we were offered blankets to keep warm. Those who were staying for another week had the option of a return visit, but we were leaving the following day. For me this was a fairly expensive wasted day.
