Las Palmas City Tour And Surroundings

Picked up on time and great tour around the old town, Santa Catalina. Interesting visit to the volcanic crater and the botanical gardens too.

If you look for bus drive to overpay about 30 euros you found a right place. Yesterday we participate excursion. The guide and company didn't get nessesary information so when we came to Botanical Garden we found closed parking for buses (but pedestrian entrance open to sightseeing) still they have decided to skip this point of the trip(the only reason why we booked this trip and payed 70 euro) instead of that we had more time in capitol to wander alone without any guide or interesting historical facts. I recommend to find local bus to Las Palmas, to get same experience cost about 2.5 euro. In Vulcano area you get 10 min not 1 hour as stated. Unfortunately company didn't feel like compensate a bit of cost for destroyed trip and not fulfilled program. Poor handling of customers. Big no.

Would recommend the trip. Good guide who alternated between English, Spanish, (another language, sorry cannot remember) to accomodate all parties that were there. We had plenty of time at each location. Would actually do the tour again, next time i go to GC.

Don't book this tour. The tour operator cancelled our booking the night before our tour, saying they could not accommodate due to capacity issues. We had booked this trip a month before and for them to say this the night before indicates they either didn't bother doing the tour or took a different group that booked last minute instead. Absolute time wasters AVOID. Those looking for a similar tour can find a good one we found that has more than a handful of reviews like this one does, that other tour was great, and they laughed about us booking this tour originally as the tour guide here is known for being useless.

Too much time spent on bus, content and sites were not interesting or impressive. It was confusing with 4 different languages to cover. Botanical Garden was disappointing with most of plants and flowers can be seen through out the island. This was not really a guided tour since we were dropped off and to roam around without much suggestion or info. We do not recommend this tour.

Very informative and detailed tour. You’re given a specific time in each location. Tour guide worked extremely hard to give out information about areas in five languages! Was super friendly also. Would recommend to see a different part of the island

Well set up but the final stop at the beach area is too short. Good driver and brilliant guide who pointed a lot out

A good way to see Las Palmas and surroundings, finding places you would not find on your own. Pick up at your hotel, with everything organised very well. Be warned that an hour into the trip we were still circling Playa des Ingles picking up people. Driver was Fran & our guide was Julia. She has a huge amount of information, delivered very ably in English, German & Spanish. Sufficient to say she never stopped talking from we had completed the pick ups until it was time to leave everyone home again. (Perhaps a little too much) Very impressed that when the coach developed a fault approaching the botanic gardens, by the time we had done the visit, a replacement coach had arrived for us - very slick. Too be critical, by the time we had done the walking tour(with commentary) at Vegueta, there was little time to see around on your own. Bandama & Botanic Gardens are what they say on the tin. Free time around Las Arenas shopping centre / Las Canteras beach didn’t really work for us. Shopping Centre is a sprawling area, just like any other centre, and the beach is small, rough & rocky. A bit of guidance on lunch spots in the area would be useful - we had a terrible experience in shopping centre restaurant

Fantastic guide Sebastian and Jose driver. The speaker system was little lacking especially at the back of the bus. Sebastian was a wonderful guide. Very knowledgeable and fun to be around. Recommend this trip but if you have a fear of heights sit in an aisle seat, as the road to the top of the volcano is a little scary to say the least. Thanks guys for a fantastic day x

The old town in Las Palmas was definitely worth a visit. Interesting and quaint streets with the church/ cathedral and Christopher Columbus museum. Then grab a coffee and watch the world go by.

Pick-up on time. Knowledgeable and funny tour guide. Great day trip for our family. Would recommend this trip :)

We've been coming to Gran Canaria for over 20 years. Always stay in Puerto Rico due to the weather. In all that time, we've never visited Las Palmas. So we decided this time to book a trip. It is a really good excursion. 4 stops. The Cathedral area, the Botanic gardens, the volcano and the beach. They arranged a pick up in Puerto Rico and for the price it's an excellent tour. Each of the stops includes free time to do your own exploring. Highly recommend

This was a great trip! It wasn't as much of a tour as I thought it would be, in terms of getting information about the history or historical figures, but the guide was still great! They took us to several parts of the capital, places that I wouldn't have gone by myself, and it was nice to have time to explore on my own. Definitely worth your while, especially if you're not staying in Las Palmas. Would recommend!

Throughout the day the guide was most informative and organised we had the loveliest day and paced just right. We loved the old town of Las Palmas will definitely revisit

I had such a lovely day in Las Palms thanks to Nebil and lassandro. We went to the old. Town Las Palmas which was beautiful. It’s full of character. We then went to the botanical garden which is so peaceful. We then went to the top of a volcano abd then to Las Carachas beach. We had free time in the old town, botanical gardens and at the beach. We were given lots of interesting information on each place. I would highly recommend as a great way to see Las Palmas.

All stops were excellent planned, on time and the guide was so friendly and welcoming. Had enough time to explore Las Palmas and the beachside. Recommendable day experience!

El pueblo de Arucas me pareció muy bonito. La iglesia es preciosa. Por la calle se pasean un Gallo y 7 gallinas silvestres, muy bonitas. La gente como siempre, muy amable y se puede con ellos conversar e interactuar. El paisaje es impresionante, me encantó. La guía y el conductor, campeones!!!! Fueron especialmente conmigo muy amables pues las curvas de la carretera me hicieron sentir mareada pero me cuidaron y estuvieron pendientes de mi. Mil gracias 🤩 lo recomiendo muchísimo.

Fue una excursión muy bonita, el Jardín Botánico es precioso y la ciudad encantadora, pero lo mejor de todo la amabilidad y profesionalidad del guía Kebir y de la conductora Natalia. Gracias por todo. Rachel y Star Mafia Boy.

Tour did not take place due to low attendance. Very sad, I was really looking forward to it. 48 h before the money still debited and 24 h before tour cancelled. Didn't you already know very well that this is not going to happen?

The tour guide could have been a bit more talkative. But otherwise the trip is recommended. The time for the old town and the botanical garden is too short. A guided tour of the old town by the tour guide would have been desirable.

Im Großen und Ganzen sehr zufrieden. Würden es weiterempfehlen :-) Haben viel gesehen und erlebt. Zeit war in Las Palmas auch genug 👍

El guía fue agradable, pero hay muy poco tiempo para disfrutar de cada parada que hacemos. El jardín botánico me pareció descuidado.

Aunque olvidaron incluirme en la lista de participantes (3 mensajes de confirmación), al final todo ha sido bien. El guía (perdón, he olvidado el nombre del chico) ha explicado todo muy correcto (en 4 idiomas!), el conductor Alesandro es un krak (!). Agradezco por esta excursión.

It is worth visiting this beautiful city. The first destination is the old town with the cathedral as well as the shopping street with a one-hour stay. It then goes to the beautiful botanical garden for about 40 minutes. Then, to the highest mountain in the city, from where you can enjoy a wonderful view. Afterwards we visited for 1.5 hours the neighborhood with the beautiful beach and promenade, Everything was well organized and carried out, so the trip with the different facets was really worth it

The pickup worked great. The stop in the botanical garden was unfortunately far too short. It was a pity that the stop at the Shopping Centre was dropped.

Although we booked two weeks before, the trip was cancelled by the operating bus company on the grounds that the roads were clogged by the carnival only one day before. We then took the public bus to Las Palmas on the same day as booked and saw that although carnival celebrations were going on in a large square, all other roads were clear and the journey could still have taken place. After we requested the refund, we were reimbursed for the travel expenses.

Las Palmas and Canteras beach have become a good alternative to the south side of the island. Stylish restaurants, museums and parks, as well as sun and beach, are a perfect mix for couples and friends.

Definitely visit this capital of Gran Canaria. Just take the bus and get off at the bus station. Nice city for shopping. Just for the perfume lover, the cheapest here, Druni! Walk along the promenade also nice. Food and drink still very cheap here.

Of course, the apparently obligatory visit to an aloe vera sales station. There was then no time for visiting the old town and the interesting museums.
