Lanzarote: Try Scuba Diving – 2 Dives Experience

An excellent experience all round. Easy online booking and check-in, friendly and knowledgeable staff with a great sense of humour. Really looked after me, and we did 2 incredible dives too.

We had a few days left and a couple of us wanted to try scuba diving before we left back home and after searching for an easy way to book online we came across this company and the way it was done online was seamless and the fact you fill the medical form in before you go makes it go faster when you arrive to dive etc so that’s a good idea. We got picked up in a timely manner and we had two guys both named Danny who took us 3 and another guy for our two try dives. From when we arrived they were very professional but also friendly and we felt very relaxed in their company…..we have done dives before and compared to the previous ones this was the most professional and well-explained and we actually learnt things rather than just chucking us in the water like we’ve had before. We came away from it very pleased and if we came back and wanted to actually certify or do any sort of other experience we’d pick this company and would recommend it to anyone coming out to Lanzarote!!! Thank you guys!

Amazing experience from start to finish! Big shout out to our instructors Guido and Remy with their knowledge and experience, they made us feel extremely safe and relax. Everything was explained to us in a clear and simple way, so when we went in the water it felt natural. The first dive is a good way to practice your breathing and moving underwater. The second dive is even better as you are more in control of what you are doing and can really enjoy the surroundings. It was like being in an aquarium!!!! We even got to see a little seahorse 😍 It was amazing!

Having never tried scuba diving before I was very nervous. But the instructors were very good and pretty patient. Amazing experience. My only criticism would be that the photos they take for you are not the best quality, so would be better if they had better cameras and took more photos. But still had plenty that I will treasure.

This was our first scuba diving experience. Instructors provided explicit demonstration and instruction. 1 on 1 support and guide reduce the panicking.

I booked this for my teenage son to try scuba diving. Highly recommend. The information given before by WhatsApp to answer my questions was super quick and efficient. He enjoyed the whole dive experience and in a group of 3 with an instructor was great. The information before the dive was really good and he felt safe during the dive. Definitely get the pictures (extra cost)

After completing my open water course in April I was keen to do my first recreational dive. After much research and reading of reviews I emailed Aquatis and had a very prompt reply from Sam. He explained the options, price and process. I decided to book 2 dives and a snorkelling session for my wife. This was quickly confirmed by email. On the day of the dives we were picked up from our hotel at the agreed time, taken to the dive centre and then onward to the site. The staff were friendly, approachable and extremely helpful. I would not hesitate to use Aquatis or recommend them

My 11 and 9 year old tried scuba diving for the very first time in the swimming pool of the hotel. This was organised free of charge in conjunction with Aquatis and H10 to give the kids an idea of what scuba diving is about. We booked straightaway for an ocean experience. On the day of the dive and after a basic but very good safety brief they began their introduction to the world under water. They spent approx 45/50 mins in the water with excellent and very patient instructors. Watching them from the beach I never felt they were of any danger. Both children came out of the sea delighted with what they had experienced. An added bonus was a 10% discount in association with the H10 Hotel and unexpected, about 20 photo's of the trip emailed free to us. (As you know photo's are generally an added extra). Highly recommend... great staff, great with kids and in a safe environment.

Everything was effortless, from emailing to book, undertaking the paperwork, getting sized up for gear and then getting to the dive site. The team were superb, really personable and spoke multiple languages. On the dives we saw octopus, Cuttlefish, sea horses and barracuda. Not bad for a morning dive ;-) thanks guys. My sons (18 and 10) and I did a try dive with Aquatis and they were fantastic. I have dived before, albeit a long time ago, and they took their time to ensure that I knew what I was doing. The dive took place in a local bay and was great...lots of fish, cuttlefish and octopus to see. The instructors were excellent...ensuring that we were comfortable and safe. My 10 year old enjoyed it so much that he dived again at a different location a few days later. The instructor, Maria, was happy for him to dive on his own with her and she was brilliant. Patient and encouraging. He now wants to do an open water course and I would have no hesitation doing it with Aquatis if we return to Costa Teguise. They were very good and very friendly.

Highly recommend this beginners scuba diving course. Maria and Yanick were amazing instructors and put us at ease from the moment we arrived to when we got back. We had our 12 year old daughter and 10 year old son with us and their nerves soon went during the briefing and they were excited to get in the water. They helped us with all the equipment, and went over the dive basics at the start. Then drove us around to the next bay and got us into the water. The dive was incredible and we saw shoals of fish, an octopus and many brightly coloured fish. The bay is perfect with a barrier to calm the waves (didn’t feel anything underwater) supporting the fish life there. Photos (all c40 photos!) arrived shortly after and well worth the price to remember this wonderful trip. Thank you so much to Maria and Janick for giving us such fantastic family memories, and an amazing first scuba dive experience.

Just got back from 7 days diving with Aquatis Diving centre in Costa tequise. Best dive centre on the island. The guys are super nice and the dives were amazing. So much to see under the sea and they dive all around the island. You could not be in safer hands. They really look after you and make every day the very best. Nothing is too much trouble. Top centre, top guys and top diving!

PLEASE NOTE I DID NOT DO A DISCOVER SCUBA DIVE BUT ONLY OPTION I CAN CLICK ON I have dived a few sites in Lanzarote but first time at Costa Teguise & with the Aquatis guys. Brilliant from filing in the required paperwork, giving me my dive kit and actual diving activities. The 4 shore dives were all slightly different and the dive site knowledge of our guide (Bastian) was first class - finding various sea creatures and the swim through the blue hole - excellent. Will definitely dive with them again. Thank you to Sam & the whole team

I could not recommend these guys enough. It was my first time diving in open water and I am quite nervous when it comes to the Ocean but Bastian took all these nerves away. He made me feel incredibly safe and still made it fun too! I was so sad when it was open, I’ll definitely be returning to Lanzarote purely to dive with this company again. Thank you!

First dive for all of us. I was a little concerned about my youngest son because he’s not a great swimmer but turns out he’s a natural diver. It was the greatest experience to date with an absolutely fabulous instructor, Bastian, who is such a fun character, he really looked after us all under water and was extremely patient and considerate with me being very nervous. My children went back a couple a days after the first dive for a second and enjoyed it so much they have been inspired to go further with diving and I will most certainly give it another go, we can’t wait to return—see you soon!

It was incredible. I came last year for a taster dive session and really enjoyed it I came back this year to take my Open Water Diver Course and had one of if not the best experience I’ve ever had. My instructor Sam was really fun, engaging and made the dive all the more enjoyable. And in the end passed with full marks! I really recommend!

well where to start me and my bother took my son too Lanzarote for his 18th birthday and he always wanted to try scuba diving. i was a bit unsure but did what he wanted to do. so we booked it and can i say it was the best thing i have ever done the team that took us was so down too earth and having a laugh with you it just takes the anxiety out of it. the instructor we had was called louis and he was so good clear induction on what to do. and made the hole day enjoyable for the rest of the week all we could talk about was the scuba diving even being at home now we are still talking about it best day ever thank you aquatis/louis

It was our first time scuba diving and it was amazing!! Gemma was so kind and helpful and reassured me when I felt a bit panicky at first- she was a great guide, showing us different creatures under the water and took lots of photos that we could see afterwards. Thank you so much!

Really good intro to diving. Sam- a very friendly and easy going teacher, exactly what you want when talking first steps into scuba diving. The course was brilliant, not too technical and you got plenty of time in the water. Location wise was really good, lots and lots of fish. Couldn’t really ask for more, highly recommend. If I come back to Costa Tequise I’ll be booking in again.

Came with my two boys to try it and they absolutely loved it. You couldn't wish for a nicer bunch of people, everyone was so kind, lovely and patient with my boys and me. They did it twice with Bastien and he was just amazing. My son is autistic and from meeting Chris in the pool to diving with Bastien and Remi, every single one of them put him at ease and made him feel safe and confident It literally made the holiday for my kids and can't wait to come back and do it again.

It was our first experience with scuba diving. Very good Trainer and good explanations. Small groups (just the two of us) made it a good experience. Always felt safe in the water. Saw lots of fish and some squids. Fully recommended.

From start to finish this was a great morning's activity. My 15 year old daughter and me did two introductory dives down to over 5 metres and saw Cuttlefish, Seahorses, Octopus and some amazing fish. The intro/safety briefing was to the point but not frightening and made my daughter feel so comfortable. We absolutely loved it. Our guide/instructor was Remi and he's a credit to the world of scuba and customer service and the next bench French dude to come out of Bordeaux since Dugarry, or was it Zidane? He helped make it a brilliant day and I think my daughter now wants a new hobby! Superb and thanks to all.

We dived with aquatis for a total of 6 dives and within these dived at the underwater museum. We had two divemasters for these dives and both were very good. One dive we experienced very difficult currents but Chris our divemaster dealt with it calmly and what could have been a very bad experience he made much much better. He was also very knowledgable and approachable. Bastien our second divemaster was a lot of fun, and too, was very knowledgable. We had a great experience here and would dive with them again.

My son (11) took his Junior Open Water Diver SSI certificate at Aquatis this week. The whole team there were amazing. Encouraging, kind, firm when needed but always fair. Special mentions go to Bastian, Sam and Chris, without whom my son would never have discovered this amazing activity. My son suffers with autism-related anxiety, but they gave him the confidence to push his boundaries knowing they would keep him safe. He is now buzzing, filled with self-confidence and can’t wait for his next dive. Thank you team Aquatis-we’ll definitely be back!

Finally i earned my Open Water certification and i was lucky to choose this dive center. I found here friendly and professional staff and then Bastian, an awesome teacher. I thought i couldn't do it, but thanks to him, at almost 49 year old, i could fullfill my boyhood dreams and i got my certifcation with great results, moreover in a beautiful place plenty of marine life. And i have seen a baby Shark !! What could i ask more? Thanks again to all you guys of Aquatis Diving.

Well what can I say me and my son went to Lanzarote for his 18th birthday and pre booked the aquatis scuba 2 dive online while still in Uk and didn’t know what to expect . The day before Sam had called me to check to see if we was still going and to ask what our sizes was to speed up things , then on the day we were picked up from our hotels and taken down to the dive site in puto del Carmen and georg the main diver (the owner I think ) was such a funny guy what a laugh he is , anyway he went through everything with us explaining everything , safety, what to do and not to do etc then got all equipment on and went in water then said to put head under and get used to breathing through the mouth piece I panicked a bit and my son was fine but there was another diver with them called Dan he was English so because I panicked Dan stayed with me and persevered with me very patiently fair play to him while the rest of the team went for a little dive , by the end of the first dive I’d gotten used to it and we both had an amazing time and we both want to continue to learn diving Thankyou aquatics dive centre For the best dive experience would give all staff 💯 %

What a fabulous experience. I had never done any scuba diving before. Had a call the day before from Sam to make sure we were attending and give any advice we needed. The team were great and reassured me and I soon got used to the breathing and equipment. Lost a few pounds trying to put on the wet suit. Once underwater and being led around the bay it was amazing. So many tropical fish. I would certainly do it again. The team were brilliant and I got dropped back at my hotel.

I booked to dive with sharks in the Lanzarote aquarium with Aquatis. I had never scuba dived before. My instructor was great, explained everything very well. Five stars for him. Unfortunately, there had been some sort of mix up on their end and my instructor said I would have to get changed into the wetsuit on the street! Although it was then decided I could do it in the aquarium toilets, which wasn’t ideal to be honest. It was really, really warm in there and I had suspected it would be difficult to get into a wetsuit, it was harder than I had thought. I was sweating by the end of it. The wetsuit was very tight and I couldn’t fully close the zippers at the ankles and couldn’t zip up the neck fully, or fit the hood over my head. I then had to walk back out of the aquarium onto the street for the briefing. The equipment is quite heavy and I had to carry it back into the aquarium and up some stairs to the tank. Just to bear in mind if you are thinking of doing the activity. The whole experience was good, although there was only one small shark in the tank, which was a bit of a let down seeing as it was advertised as swimming with sharks. We had some fun with a grouper and there are some smaller rays and fish swimming around. There were some larger stingrays in the tank, but they mainly stayed immobile and were sleeping. The trip included pick up and drop off from Puerto del Carmen and was also supposed to include entrance to the aquarium to look around, which there wasn’t time for. For what I paid, it could have been better, but was a good intro to scuba diving. Next time I will do it in the sea.

What made this experience Excellent was the staff that work here. They were so friendly and, above all else, your safety is their top priority. Lots of jokes and laughs to be had with Georg and Remmi here. They're extremely good with nervous beginners, highly recommend this place 👌. The cost to scuba dive in Teguise is the most pricey activity I did while I stayed here, but by far the best experience I had during my stay. Georg was even lovely enough to offer us to sit and eat Tapas and have a couple of beers with the staff afterwards. Unfortunately I wasn't able to stay and had to move on to the next activity I had planned. Maybe next time guys 🍻❤.

Communication: The communication from Germany via e-mail was very easy and good. All my questions were responded within 24 h and I have experienced more than asked. At the Station: All the people we met at the diving station were very nice to us and helped with everything we needed. It was also possible to drink a coffee or a beer after the diving day with some of the guides. Guides: You were always in good hands. The Guides were always near you and you took care of the group. The groups were also not too big. Diving Spots: We were at different spots and we saw a lot of different fish reefs and environments. Equipment: The equipment was clean and in a good condition Overall: It was always a good atmosphere on our diving trip. We saw a lot, met nice new people and we would recommend diving at Aquantis Diving Center. If we are again on the island it would be a pleasure to dive again at this place.

Absolutely amazing, the dive was taken by two women who were really good teaching my 10 yr old son to dive, he loved it, highly recommend this company!!
