Kayak & Snorkeling Adventure In Papagayo With Photos

Great experience kayaking and snorkelling in the sunny weather, glad we were able to be in the water for a good amount of time

Everything was well organized and Ismael is an amazing instructor! During the trip, he shared interesting facts about the history of the island and the landscape formation. We visited a small hidden beach which was a great spot for snorkeling. Another cool thing is that you don't need to bring your phone or camera, as photos will be taken by instructor, which is included. They also provide you a waterproof bag, a snorkelling mask and a wetsuit. Great experience, totally recommended!

Had a great time out on the water this morning. The sea wasn't too choppy and the beach we stopped at was picturesque. The snacks were much appreciated at this time. The tour was informative and we were looked after very well.

Very organised and on time. Very detailed guide prior to going out. I've been Kayaking before and was never taught all those for a better experience. Thank you to Ismael and Monica. We had a very good experience. Additional alloted time on the beach was also refreshing. Very thoughtful to provide snacks as well. Also got pictures! What a great addition! Would highly recommend.

A really well led excursion taking in the coast, caves and the beaches before landing on Papagayo for some light refreshments and snorkelling. We try and do this every time we visit Playa Blanca as it’s such a good trip.

Great guide who was super keen on safety. We arrived to a good safety brief, good stable kayaks and nice paddle equipment. As an intermediate kayaker paddling with my novice partner, I was very impressed with the overall standard. We couldn't finish our trip due to weather conditions deteriorating and our guide made the hard but correct decision to go back to shore. All perfect. Refunded half our trip too.

Ismael and Monica at Kayak Lanzarote put on a fantastic tour for us! They provided wetsuits (optional), PFDs, and drybags for our beach towels. We started with a great paddling overview demo before the kayaking began, and Ismael offered excellent information about the natural formations throughout the entire trip. He also took fantastic pictures at key locations on the trip, and emailed the link for these souvenir photos when we got back to the shop. In a world where upcharges are becoming the norm, it was a wonderful surprise that the digital photos were INCLUDED in the tour with no additional fee! If I could give more than 5 stars, I certainly would. The only downside to the entire day was that Papagayo is a long way from the cruise pier... our taxis in each direction were around €70. But even with that factored in, it was still a great way to spend the day and we all enjoyed the adventure.

We had great fun kayaking. It's was pretty easy going paddling wise which was nice and the snorkeling spot was great as was the guide.

This is a great activity. You are well looked after, no need to have doing kayaking before. Full instructions are given before we head out into water. The snorkeling is also great and can be done by keeping in low waters ot going further out.

Our second time doing this trip as we enjoyed it so much the first time. A lovely day out on the water visiting the beautiful Papagayo beaches with time for snorkelling and sunbathing. It was a bit choppy at times so a good workout but there was no rush and we paddled along at a gentle pace. Friendly and helpful staff.

Such a lovely day out. Twin kayaks are a very nice touch. Good for team building, or testing the strength (mentally and physically) of your relationship or friendship! Seriously, book this trip. You won't regret it. Papayago by arrival from the sea is beautiful. They also catered for our dietary requirements. Gluten free and vegan.

Really good fun! Hard work at times, but worth it. The beach and water is stunning. Snorkelling was good fun and the free photos that were taken are a nice way to capture the kayaking. Definitely would recommend.

We went on this trip as a family of three with a teenager and had a brilliant time! There were about 10 kayaks in the group, and the whole experience lasted around 3 hours. The route takes you over to Papagayo Beach, where you spend some time snorkelling, having a drink and some snacks, before heading back. I didn’t join in with the snorkelling, but the beach itself is stunning – I spent the hour soaking up the sun and swimming in the clear waters. The two crew members were fantastic – very friendly, gave a clear briefing at the start, and took plenty of photos throughout the trip, which were included in the price and emailed to us a few days later. A really enjoyable experience and one I’d definitely recommend if you’re visiting Lanzarote!

We had a really lovely time on this trip with George (who is also known as Maui) and Hayden. They were so much fun and really helpful instructors too. They also took lots of great pictures that they sent to us after. The water is so clear and the most beautiful shades of blue and turquoise, and there are so many different types of bright fish you can see when you snorkel. Amazing experience!

Really enjoyed this activity. The team were all very friendly and helpful. Quite hard work at times depending on the wind. Snorkeling was good fun and we saw lots of fish

Challenging waves, strong winds, and lots of fun! We paddled along the southern coast past Playa Mujeres and Playa del Pozo, guided safely by an experienced and upbeat team. Reaching Papagayo Beach felt like a true reward, stunning, peaceful, and the perfect spot to rest after the effort. A thrilling and unforgettable experience, not for the lazy!

Just after coming back from Holiday in Playa Blanca. Had booked this kayak trip before we left. Had no issues with the booking at all. Arrived on the morning of the trip and were briefed by Denise as to what to expect. You are given waterproof tote so bring your towels, sunscreen and whatever else you need for the 4 hours. Everything else can be left safely at the shop.Had a great time doing the trip but it is hard work so you must be able for it. Smallest problem I had was the back rest of the kayak did not work for me and I was a bit sore afterwards. I didn't raise any issues at the time so it was my own fault. I would definitely recommend this as a way to spend a great morning.

Booked in for kayaking and was not disappointed! Denise and the team were super friendly, incredibly knowledgeable and easy to get along with. They gave us a demonstration on how to kayak which I thought found extremely useful! Loved the experience. 10/10! Gracias Denise and team!

Meet up was great with toilet, equipment, somewhere to change . Denise our guide was fantastic at instructing us speaking fluently in several languages. Friendly, smiley , great with kids and easy to be around. Ishmael too efficient and great sense of humour. Kayaking and snorkling great due its location anyways. Overall lovely 3 ish hours out with stop on lovely beach, water , banana and chocolate bar snack provided.

We recently enjoyed a fantastic kayaking trip as a family, and it was truly a memorable experience! The weather was absolutely lovely—sunny skies and a gentle breeze made for perfect paddling conditions. Our host was incredibly helpful and kind, ensuring we had everything we needed for a smooth outing. The clear water was a highlight, offering excellent visibility for snorkeling. We spotted a variety of colorful fish and enjoyed exploring the underwater scenery. Overall, it was an enjoyable day for everyone, and we left with wonderful memories. Highly recommend this trip for families looking for adventure and relaxation in nature!

Was a great experience even if temperature was not too high we received appropriated clothing. Really competent and nice guide. Place make sure you really arrive 15 mins before the booked trip.

An extremely well organised kayaking experience. The tuition before we entered the water was thorough and clearly explained. I felt completely safe and well supervised. The tour of the various bays was great as too was the snorkelling - again with good tuition if needed.

This was by far the best outing of our holiday. The kids 17, 16, 14 thoroughly enjoyed it although there were complaints about how much effort the kayaking was 🙄 If you have a weak/bad back be mindful, it is hard work!! The beach at Papagayo was absolutely beautiful, we did the snorkelling which was so much fun. There are lots of fish to see. The staff were lovely, helpful but not overbearing! Being out at the beautiful crystal blue sea, in the sunshine was a wonderful experience. I’d recommend it!

The crew were great, lots of interesting knowledge and facts about the local scenery were shared with us. Great instruction and safety considerations for the kayaking. Unfortunately, we didn't see anything when we snorkeled but this was due to the wave conditions on the day.

What a fabulous experience! The water and scenery was absolutely beautiful. They provided all of the equipment and gave tips on paddling technique. We kayaked to Playa de Papagayo where we had forty five minutes to go snorkeling. There were many beautiful fish around the rocks and coral. They took pictures of us along the way which was great for the memories. I highly recommend this tour.

The guides were very considerate, helpful and understanding. It was great exercise. The views were spectacular, the ocean, the cliffs, and the sky. We made the mistake of not wearing sun lotion and got a bad burn because the sun reflects off of the water. Be sure to use plenty of sun block lotion. Denise was excellent always asking how we were doing and offering helpful suggestions. Be sure you have a good back. My husband had trouble with his back but made it to the end with the help of some kind of fellow kayakers. Overall, a wonderful experience.

What a fantastic time me, partner and 15year old had on this trip, absolute bargain for the money and would easily paid more, the two instructors was amazing both spoke excellent English , but for the talks and brief history we would be split into two groups English speaking and Spanish. Would always keep a close eye for the ones at the back and wait for them to catch up but never felt rushed at all We was beginners who had never done this before we was soon put at ease and let loose. Fantastic day and a big thank you 🤩

Wow! We loved our trip as a family of 4!!! (10 & 7 year old) Fearing it would be too strenuous I was hesitant at first but it’s not at all. I use to canoe when I was a child so I found it very easy to just sit and paddle. I really enjoyed myself and just sitting on the ocean with the waves was so relaxing. We went a very long way around the coast following the guide and the group consisted of around 18 of us. Both guides where lovely and the chap at the office was also very friendly and gave my 7 year old a lolly which made her day ha ha ha - well worth doing this is you fancy a unique way to see the beaches (and naked people as pointed out by my giggly 7 year old ha ha ha) We took our own life jackets for the kids as we had one none swimmer and one who can swim but not a strong swimmer. We didn’t snorkel at the beach’s but the rest of the group did and I would recommend you do as there are plenty of fish to see (I remember from being a child coming here) I truly recommend this place don't hesitate. I was very hesitant at first and looked all over the internet for reviews and videos of what to expect. My other half was not a strong paddler and ended up at the back of the group but this was not an issue as the lovely guide stayed with her and my son. Such a good activity for all the family

We booked the Kayak and Snorkelling experience for €40 per adult - 13 Aug 24. It was worth every last penny. We had a ball. We were both complete novices going into this but our nerves soon settled with the professional staff and top-quality equipment. I believe our instructor was Aiden (I’m sorry if I’ve spelt this wrong). He was brilliant and we felt like we were in good hands. He was also able to communicate to the group in different languages. The beaches we visited were stunning. Little stop mid-way for snorkelling and relaxing before a snack and the route back. Water and snacks are provided. You will be issued with a waterproof bag to store belongings. Just bring a towel and lots of sun cream! We didn’t want it to end, thank you so much, a highlight of our holiday. We would highly recommend to others. We got emailed our group photos the same day which was included in the price. Diolch yn fawr! 👍 ⭐️

Absolutely brilliant morning spent kayaking. We went with our daughters aged 12 and 8. Staff brilliant- really patient and helpful, tailored the tour to the abilities of the group. 2 guides came with us and made sure we all kept up (but never felt rushed). They impressively managed to communicate in 3 different languages! Spent about an hour kayaking along the coast with brief stops to give some details about the geography, then spent some time snorkeling on Papagayo Beach which was amazing. One of the guides took us out and pointed out lots of sealife. Had a snack and a drink on the beach before kayaking back to the starting point. Would definitely recommend this- the highlight of our holiday!

We were a family of five , kids 10, 12 & 13. The experience was excellent from start to finish. Great instructors and the water was tropical- snorkeling was beyond expectations with a great range of fish making for a very special outing.

Had a brilliant morning with the family and the group. Out for over 3 hours after a detailed briefing. Guide was knowledgeable, friendly and fun! Would highly recommend. We were ages between 17-53 and everyone enjoyed. Photos were also included in price and emailed that day

The trip out was very enjoyable and the snorkeling was very good, saw a lot of fish. Everything was explained very well. Only slight was that it was slightly too long

Highly recommended.. Went with husband & teenage son. All safety instructions given before we set off. The guide constantly made sure everyone was ok. We went to a lovely beach and did some snorkeling, snack & water provided. You can take towels & sunscreen in their waterproof bags. 😎

Very friendly, professional and easy going. great communication, and lent us a fish chart for the snorkelling and accommodated us at last minute.perfect for me who has a lot of kayak and snorkelling experience and also for my girlfriend who had none before this trip.

Great for beginners. We had a demo before heading out where we were told how to be safe and turn etc. The equipment was good and we were given a dry bag for our towels and sunscreen and other essentials. You kayak right up to the beach so there isn't really any swimming until you snorkel, which is optional. Our guide was laid back and helpful when people were struggling to get the hang of turning etc. He gave snacks and water on the beach halfway through. We really enjoyed our experience and thought it was great value for money. You can also rent a kayak and go out alone.

Very friendly tour guides, and beautiful location! The tour included one snorkelling location. This location was not too busy and was excellent for observing marine wildlife.

This was a very well run trip. Life jackets were provided and also wetsuits (we didn't bother with these). Also snorkelling gear was available and a waterproof bag for the kayak. There were toilets and showers at the centre and clear instructions/tuition were given by the lovely Denise before we started. There were three staff with the group so everyone was well looked after. A very nice touch was that several photos were taken during the trip and these were made available free of charge. After we had finished, there was a nice short walk along the coast to the marina where there were plenty of places to eat and drink and also a taxi rank. The minor negatives - the only toilets in Papagayo beach stop were in a restaurant which they didn't let you use unless you bought something. Water, banana and chocolate bar were provided at the beach so we didn't bother with the restaurant. And it is up to you to get yourself to the Kayak centre and our taxi was quite expensive from Puerto Del Carmen. My wife and younger son found it quite hard work using the oars although we were never made to hurry to keep up and the group waited for any stragglers.

I had such a beautiful time on this experience and I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in papagayo. Denise was an amazing guide with an abundance of local knowledge and a wide range of languages under her belt. Thank you! :)

Fantastic 3 hours spent in the kayak and some amazing snorkeling also. Really fantastic guides who made the experience even better. Equipment was all in really good condition and safety was at forefront. Excellent experience

First time kayaking, so I was a bit nervous, but it was good fun. Our guide was great, very friendly and patient. There were only 6 of us in the group, a very relaxed atmosphere. Lasted for 3-4 hours, includes a stop at playa de papagayo beach where we were given water, fruit and a chocolate bar and then had the opportunity to go snorkelling where there are so many different creatures to spot. All the equipment is provided. All you need is swimwear and swim shoes or flip flops. There are showers you can use after. Our guide took some photos of us all, which are free and emailed over to you. It was an amazing experience, my husband loved it and was buzzing afterwards. I'm really glad we did it.

Denise and Andrea were great. We are oldies and struggled a bit with the paddling and ended up getting a tow from Andrea. He was very good natured about it. The experience of being out on the water was fabulous. Snorkeling at Papagayo beach was a brilliant experience. Highly recommended trip with a friendly and supportive company
