Kayak & Snorkel Safari: Look For Dolphins & Turtles In Tenerife

Nice kayaking tour - out round the coast, to a scenic cave, snorkelling and back. Danielle was a great guide - making sure everyone was safe and comfortable on the water, also pointing out wildlife. We saw a hammerhead shark up close and turtles. As someone new to kayaking the kayaks are surprisingly easy to move and steer. The life at the snorkelling site is not amazing but was a nice break!

What was supposed to be a fun morning turned into an absolute nightmare and physically exhausting ordeal. I would definitely not recommend booking with them. We originally booked the 10am kayak tour, but they asked us to move to 11am. We were happy to help out and agreed to switch. But when we showed up at 11am, they told us they ran out of single kayaks. Their fix? Force three full-grown adults to squeeze into one double kayak and "take turns" paddling out in the ocean. It was completely unbearable. There was zero legroom, and whoever sat in the back couldn't see a thing and kept hitting the person in front every time they tried to paddle. When we complained, the male guide had the nerve to tell us that paddling three adults in a double kayak takes the exact same amount of energy as paddling two people. Honestly couldn't believe an outdoor guide would say something so ridiculous with a straight face, completely ignoring weight limits and basic physics. Because of this, we spent the first 30 minutes dragging a sunken, overloaded kayak through the ocean, completely burning through our energy. Even after they finally gave us a single kayak 30 minutes late, the damage was already done. We were dead tired, but the guide didn't even bother checking on us or letting us rest. We were left struggling far behind the rest of the group, who just paddled off ahead. It honestly felt like we were being bullied and left behind while we struggled just to keep up. We paid money just to end up exhausted, stressed out, and ignored. Save your money and go somewhere else—I defo wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

A nice tour where we saw dolphins on quite a close distance jumping in front of us. It was well arranged and everything worked out well. I would have loved to snorkle a bit longer but that was because it was nice to below the surface of the clear water. Irina was a good guide and made us all feel safe and secure. The activity started at 11 and ended just after 14.

Had a great time seeing the sharks, dolphins, and turtles; it was amazing. Our guide Ger was super knowledgeable and helpful, which made the whole trip really chill and fun.

Such an experience we got to see turtles, dolphins and a shark! The guide was very attentive and made the trip very enjoyable. We enjoyed a swim stop to see all the fish and had plenty of opportunities for photos taken by the guide. I will say they mean it when they say you need a level of fitness as it was quite windy the day we went and required some strength to get back! Overall such a great day, Thankyou!

Saw red turtles, dolphins and a hammerhead shark. We went to a cove that had lots of red crabs hanging onto the walls. Snorkled around the coves and saw lots of sea life through clear water. Brilliant experience.

Very nice trip with Joaquim who was a very knowledgeable guide and told us a lot about the sea life of Tenerife. We saw 6 dolphins that were circling around us only a few meters from the Kajak and a sea turtle that emerged shortly. Much more fun than going on a motor boat.

It was a great experience with our guide Irina. We saw dolphins turtles and little sharks. Would highly recommend, however the paddling can be exhausting so it’s perfect for people who enjoy a little workout as well :)

This experience was absolutely AMAZING! The ride out and back was a bit challenging..so would definitely recommend doing it with someone else as you share the load together. The guide, Nicolas, was very enthusiastic and had an amazing knowledge of all marine life we saw. He gave us a well briefed safety seminar as well as how to get in and out of the kayak when in the ocean. We rode 8km there, and 8km back. The snorkelling experience in the cove was crystal clear..with lots of beautiful shoals of fish. They provide a cereal bar and juice when back at the meeting point to keep your sugar levels up. You don't need to bring a camera as Nicolas took some amazing photos and videos of us on our trip and was only €15 for all 97!! I cannot thank the team enough - we are English speaking and had a great time. Would highly recommend!! ❤️

We took the 10:00 tour. It was a good choice, as it wasn't too hot yet. There was a brief, fun introduction, and the guides had a great sense of humor. It was a fantastic excursion all around. We saw dolphins and turtles. The snorkeling near the bay was excellent. Highly recommended—great value for money!

Great fun,tiring ,informative,travelled about 7k with our guide nicolas,great expetience,sunburn feet,saw dolphins and turtles and some saw a hammer head shark,which we were told about when we were snorkelling,ha ha, nicolas the guide was a good laugh ,very professional and you can tell he cares and loves his work, highly recommend,

Nani, our guide was amazing! Always checking on us. The tour is a great workout but you never get tired. We saw hammerhead sharks, dolphins (lots) and turtles! This is worth the money and so much more. I am.sirprised they dont charge more.

We went as a family, 2 adults, one teenager and one 10 years old. We got very good explanations for everything and were taught to enter and exit the kayak. Our expectations were just to go kayaking and enjoying the ride and everything else was a plus but not necessary. Our guide, Daniel, was amazing; very polite and helpful - nobody felt bad not being able to board the kayak the first time 😅 Out teenager was a bit scared to snorkel but Daniel talked him into it and he was very grateful for that. We ended up seeing turtles and dolphins while kayaking and lots of colorful fish when snorkeling (no sharks, thankfully 😅). This was wonderful and we are very happy and recommend this tour and company for everyone. Thank you for making our trip amazing!

We had a really good time as a family on this experience. We were well briefed and were thrilled to see dolphins, sharks and a turtle. We also had lots of time to snorkel in a safe area. Lina, our guide was very energetic and helpful. One thing to note is that the kayaking is hard on the open water, you need some degree of fitness to be doing this for 2-3 hours. It was fantastic though to get close to the sea creatures without a boat.

We had such a fantastic time kayaking with Mana Kayak and guide Hoking! Everything was well organized, and the guides were friendly, professional, and made us feel safe from start to finish. It was a wonderful experience for our whole family, and everyone had so much fun out on the water. The scenery was absolutely beautiful, and seeing the marine wildlife made the trip even more special. This was definitely one of the highlights of our holiday in Tenerife. We highly recommend Mana Kayak to anyone looking for a fun and memorable family adventure. We would happily do it again!

This was our second tour with them. The good: - They give you plenty of bananas to eat before or take with you on the tour, an energy bar halfway through, and water that you can refill whenever you need. We were lucky enough to see an incredible number of dolphins, which made the experience very special. The bad: - What I liked the least was that photos and videos cost extra (€15 per kayak). This isn't mentioned in the listing or before the activity and most tours include them. Had I known, I would have brought my own phone or GoPro. Even worse, they messaged me afterward saying they would send me everything, but they never did. - I understand why they chose to spend more time watching the dolphins instead of paddling all the way to the cave, but it meant the route felt incomplete. - The guide was friendly, but I was expecting more information about the wildlife, the surroundings and the dolphins themselves. Overall, it was a good experience thanks to the dolphins, but I think the company could improve the guided part of the tour, be more transparent about additional charges and the customer service could have been much better.

We had an amazing time on the kayak and snorkelling tour with Joachim and his team! I went with my 15-year-old son, and we both thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The whole tour was relaxed, well-organized, and had a really friendly atmosphere. Joachim and the team made everyone feel welcome while ensuring we had a great time on the water. The highlight was seeing several large turtles up close and even spotting a pod of dolphins, which made the trip truly unforgettable. We had a fantastic time kayaking! Everything was very well organized, and our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience even more enjoyable. One of the highlights was seeing dolphins and sea turtles in their natural habitat – truly unforgettable! The scenery was beautiful, and the whole trip was a lot of fun for our family. To top it all off, when we returned, we were offered a refreshing drink and a delicious, super fresh banana picked straight from the tree. Such a lovely touch! First time kayakers. Both relatively unfit mid 20s. Thought something to try while on holiday different to usual catamaran. If you’re fit and have experience with kayaks this is a good trip for you. We did see whales, never saw turtles but knew not guaranteed. About 4 hours start to finish, 3+ in the sea. About 10 mins of snorkelling. Snorkelling equipment very poor - bring your own or don’t bother, should’ve docked kayaks in shallow waters to make getting on without help easier. As we were with an experienced group we felt and saw unhappy faces that we slowed them down. Many times we were left behind by even the guide and felt if we fell in we’d not get noticed at all. Wear sun lotion before and don’t bring any items out with you except water. Go there in normal trainers so after it’s done you can change back into them. Wear water shoes. Changing facilities very poor at the venue.

5 Star trip from start to finish. Moses and the team are excellent. We saw dolphins and Sea turtles. Would absolutely recommend to anyone coming to Tenerife give this trip a go, great value for money. The scenery was amazing and to be out in the beautiful blue ocean was truly amazing. Watching Moses retrieve my son’s phone from a depth of 15m was truly remarkable and he will be forever grateful. Thanks again Moses. Chris & Jack

Me and my dad visited yesterday and saw turtles, dolphins and colourful fish. While i would say luck plays a role in finding said marine life our instructor Moses was amazing. Yesterday me and my dad capsized our kayak and my phone was not tied in and fell 50 feet underwater. Moses managed to free dive down under the rocks to get my phone 1st try. I couldn’t recommend this place enough as the staff and experience were both amazing. The kayaking was easy as a first time kayaker and requires little physical strength. All i would say is to wear sun cream as you don’t notice it until you’re back how burnt you are. Thank you so much Moses.👍

This experience was absolutely amazing, definitely the best thing I’ve done on any holiday ever! We were so lucky because we got to see dolphins and turtles really close up which was incredible! The kayaking itself was enjoyable and I did not feel rushed or tired at any point. The tour guide waited for us to catch up and have rest points (even for those at the back of the group) and we all got the chance to see the wildlife. The tour guide also took lots of photos of us and the animals. One tip is don’t bring any sunglasses or accessories that you’d be sad to lose in the water!

Lovely experience from start to finish. Our guide Joaquin (sorry if I spelled your name wrong!) was brilliant, really good fun, informative, friendly and made us feel safe. I’d recommend to a family as we were a family of 5 and had two kayaks. Our youngest was 9 (all can swim). We saw dolphins, sea turtles and hammerhead sharks (which is a rare enough occurrence). We had time for snorkeling too. All equipment was provided. All of our family agreed, it was the best experience of our holiday and one of our best experiences ever on holiday.

Great value for money, absolutely loved it. For all ages. Quiet a lot of rowing so if you are really unfit then get ready for muscle burn. The guide was very experienced and informative and entertaining. Would not change a think and would definitely do again.

Amazing experience. Very tiring of course especially with the the duration but definitely worth it, the guides definitely worked out of love for kayaking rather than as an opportunity to make money which is brilliant.
